The group soon reached the Lost Village. The place was covered in snow and ice as corpses were left all over the place.
"Creepy..." Darington shuddered.
"Yep," Blaze held the stunt truck closer. "Stripes, are you sure that this is the place?"
"Positive!" Stripes nodded and held out the map. "The corpses were to be expected,"
"But from here, where do we go?" Watts questioned.
"Forward," Stripes pointed to the castle behind the village. "THIS village is technically part of the Snow Queen's Kingdom,"
"Okay… but be careful," AJ said.
The group all entered the village. Crusher looked around and felt his stomach sink with every passing corpse.
"This is too dark, even for me..."
"Zeg no like village," Zeg whimpered. "It too creepy,"
"Now I'm wonderin' if we HAVE to go and see the Snow Queen..." Starla hissed.
Suddenly, the ground shook once more, causing the group to freeze in the spots.
"What was that?!" Pickle looked around in panic.
Before anyone could reply, the sound of stomping feet echoed all through the village, and they all turned to see giant ice guards.
"Seriously?!" Crusher blurt out.
"Intruders!" the guards cried out, pointing their staffs at them. "Get them!"
"Split up!" Stripes yelled.
They spread across the village, Darington, Blaze and AJ moving to one part of the village, Starla, Watts, and Gabby moving another while Zeg and Stripes went off somewhere else. Crusher grabbed onto Pickle and zoomed off to follow and spready out when Pickle was suddenly grabbed.
"HELP!!"
"Pickle!" Crusher cried out. "LET HIM GO-- GAH!"
He was suddenly grabbed, allowing him to let out a scream.
"HEEEEEELP!!!!"
"CRUSHER! PICKLE!" Blaze was the first to turn and gasp before driving forward to save them. "Hang on, you two!"
"Blaze, watch out!" AJ cried out as a guard reached out to grab them.
"Woah!" Blaze drove back, causing the guard to miss. "Phew! That was close!"
"BLAZE!"
He turned to see a guard snatching Darington into it's arms.
"DARRY!"
"HELP, BLAZE!" Blaze glanced around as the guards also spread out to grab each of his friends.
"Oh no…"
"BLAZE!" AJ yelped as he and the red truck were also grabbed.
"Queen's orders are to bring the intruders to her palace." the head guard spoke.
The other guards nodded, and they all marched towards the palace.
"Well... I guess we'll get to see the queen after all," Pickle said.
"How unfortunate," Crusher grumbled.
As soon as they made it to the palace, the ice doors burst open, and the guards carried them inside. The group gasped as they looked around the palace.
"Sheesh... what a chilly place..." Stripes shuddered.
"This IS the Snow Queen's palace," Starla pointed out.
"Well, where is she?" AJ asked.
The guards didn't respond. Instead, they kept marching until they made it to the center of the palace. The doors in front of them burst open, and they were thrown inside, landing with a crash.
"Thanks for the nice soft landing!" Crusher yelled sarcastically.
"Are you guys, okay?" Gabby asked as she and AJ dismounted.
"We're fine," Darington said.
"Woah..." Stripes looked around. "We're in the throne room!"
"That means the Snow Queen is nearby..." Blaze said.
"Aren't you all so clever..." A chilling voice spoke, causing the group to look around in alarm.
"Wh-Who are you?" Watts asked as she neared Starla.
"Why, I am the one you came to see, dearies..."
The group managed to pinpoint her location and turn to see a truck of icy blue appearing from behind the throne. Her eyes were violet and glowing as she confronted them with a calm, icy smile.
"The Snow Queen!" Blaze gasped.
"The one and only," the Snow Queen grinned. "And I see you all made it though my little obstacles,"
"We did, but we had to come," AJ protested. "We need your help!"
"Oh, my help?" the Snow Queen raised an eyebrow. "Truly? For what?"
"Our city's been frozen over," Blaze explained. "And we need YOUR help to unfreeze it!"
"I see..." the Snow Queen pursed her lips. "Why do you need me? Can't your little dark blue friend do it himself?"
Crusher tensed at that. As did Pickle. Everyone else were taken back in surprise.
"Crusher not have ice magic," Zeg said.
"Oh, doesn't he now?" the Snow Queen raised an eyebrow. "How sure are you all with this conclusion?"
"We've known him forever," Darington explained. "If he did have magic, he would have told us about it."
"He felt my magical snow, did he not?" the Snow Queen raised an eyebrow with a smirk.
"I thought it was... just a feeling," Crusher muttered.
"Adorable excuse, truly," the Snow Queen chuckled. "but only a being of snow can sense my magic,"
"Crusher... do you know something about this?" Watts asked.
"I... um..." Crusher stuttered, trying to find an excuse as he felt himself beginning to drive backwards.
Pickle gulped, nervous for his best friend until something dawned upon him. He turned to the Snow Queen with narrowed eyes.
"If YOU sent the magical snow to create the crystal giants, doesn't that mean that YOU knew that we were coming?"
"I suppose it does,"
"Then... you knew why we're coming," Stripes's eyes widened in realization. "You... You were never gonna help us... were you?"
"Hmm..." a smirk grew in the Snow Queen's face. "Maybe, maybe not. I will not confirm nor deny your theory,"
"Oh, you don't think that I will let you all go so easily, now did you?" the Snow Queen cackled as the guards blocked the exit.
"What do you want from us?" Gabby asked.
"My precious Ina-yuki, of course," the Snow Queen replied, driving closer towards them. "And to stop you all from destroying the marvelous fjord that he had created,"
"Ina-yu-who?" Darington asked.
"My lightning snow child," the Snow Queen's eyes gleamed. "And he is here, I know it,"
"We've never heard of this Ina-yuki, your highness," Gabby said respectfully.
"Ah, yes, I know," the Snow Queen chuckled. "I expected Diana to change his name while hiding him,"
"Diana? Who's that?" AJ asked.
"That's... Grammy's name..." Crusher muttered in horror.
"Wait... that's gotta be some coincidence," Blaze said.
"Is it?" the Snow Queen smirked and zoomed towards Crusher in an instant. "Highly unlikely,"
"Okay, so what if your kid is here," Stripes said, eyes narrowing. "How could you prove it?"
"Easy," the Snow Queen snatched Crusher's tire and slammed it to the floor.
Suddenly, ice emerged from the ground and rose up towards the ceiling. The group gasped and drove back in shock.
"Crusher? How did that happen?" Blaze asked.
"I..." Crusher gulped before taking back his tire and glaring at the queen. "I can't be who you say I am,"
"Oh?" the Snow Queen cackled. "So you do not deny your abilities, my precious Ina-yuki?"
"Wait... CRUSHER created all the ice and snow freezing the town?" Starla hissed.
"It was an accident!" Pickle defended.
"You knew, Pickle?" Stripes asked. "When were you going to tell us?"
"Um... when all of this was over...?" Pickle nervously laughed as he drove back from the group.
"You could have told us it was you the entire time!" Starla growled. "We could've helped! But now, we're being held captive by your mother! I should've known there was something wrong with you..."
"SHE IS NOT MY MOTHER!" Crusher denied with a snarl, whether to the cowgirl truck or the Snow Queen, they didn't want to know.
"Then how do you explain that your grammy has the same name as the queen's mom, and you have icy powers?" Darington shot back. "Huh?! HUH?!"
"Guys, guys, please calm down," Blaze told them.
"And how could you say that I am not your mother, my Ina-yuki?" the Snow Queen feigned a hurt expression.
"Because you never raised me, that's why," Crusher scoffed.
"Because my mother took you away from me!" the queen protested. "I never got to hold you in my tires after you were born... and I missed it..."
"You don't fool me!" Crusher growled. "Grammy had warned me about you!"
"Ha! I knew it! Like mother, like son!" Starla snarled.
"Starship, enough." Watts nudged her.
"No, Watts. I'm finally revealing the monster he is! He cheats every race, leads us into trouble every second, and now we learn he's the child of a murderer. When is he gonna follow in his mother's treads and kill us too?"
Pickle was growing pissed by the minute. He grabbed a portion of the ice that Crusher made before pointing the sharp end at the cowgirl truck.
"Stop it!"
"Everyone, calm down!" Blaze exclaimed. "I know we're all a little on edge, but--"
"STOP!!" Crusher finally screamed.
The whole room grew quiet at his outburst. Everyone froze (metaphorically, not literally) on the spot and turned to the dark blue truck, who was getting frustrated.
"I don't care what any of you think! None of you, except Pickle, cared about me at all! So... I think you all should just leave... before you get hurt."
"Crusher, wait!" Blaze drove forward. "I'm sure that we can all talk this out--"
"No, we can't." Crusher turned to him with a growl. "OUT!"
He flicked his tires on the ground, and a giant snow monster rose from it with a roar.
"Get them out of here…"
The monster bowed and grabbed them all, sans Pickle, who leapt out of the way.
"No, Crusher, wait!" AJ strained.
"THROW THEM OUT!" Crusher didn't bother to listen, shutting his eyes to not see their faces as the monster did his bidding and threw the group through a window.
"That's my son..." the Snow Queen smiled.
"No, I'm not." Crusher turned to her with a growl. "Now, we talk."
