"Wh-What?" Crusher glanced around to find himself in darkness. "Wh-Where am I…? P-Pickle? B-Blaze?" He called out but only heard his own voice echo back at him, causing him to shudder. "Is… Is anyone here…?"
"Hello, wielder."
Crusher stiffened as he turned to see the 'innocent' version of Zhan Tiri smiling up at him. This caused him to glow icy blue in alarm as he jumped and backed away from the demoness.
"Z-ZHAN TIRI?! You… We KILLED you! How… How are you alive???"
"I have… many ways, young wielder," Zhan Tiri smirked. "Did you really think I would leave you alone so easily?"
"Leave me BE!" Crusher turned and tried to drive away.
"No matter how fast you are, I will ALWAYS be faster," Zhan Tiri spoke as she hovered beside the dark blue truck. "Always be one step ahead of you…"
She snapped her fingers, and they suddenly appeared in the park, yet it looked partly destroyed. Crusher glanced around, his heart beating quickly in fear.
"Wh-Where am I? What… What is this…?"
"If you did not listen to your precious 'best friend', you would've won," Zhan Tiri hissed before motioning to the corpses of his friends and his adoptive parents in the cage he had made. "You would have destroyed them, made them suffer the way you did…"
"But I didn't, and that's a good thing!" Crusher shook his head and turned away from the corpses, tears running down his eyes. "Now leave me alone! I… I don't want to see anything from what I did!"
"This is not from the past," Zhan Tiri grinned evilly. "This is the future,"
"Wh-What…?" Crusher was confused until he realized that Blaze, AJ, Roarian, Pickle, and Sparkle's corpses were inside the cage.
They weren't when he tried to do the incantation.
"N-No…" Crusher began to hyperventilate as he backed up. "I… I wouldn't… I can't…!"
"Oh, you can, and you will," Zhan Tiri cackled. "You will take your… so-called brother's Sunstone and destroy them all! Show them all who rules the city…"
"NO!" Crusher shook his head repeatedly as his streamed down his face. "STOP!"
"How can I? This is YOUR destiny," Zhan Tiri mocked. "You can not escape…"
"NO!"
At his cry, the black rocks appeared from his sides and made it's way all around him. The glow form his body intensified as the rocks blasted while Zhan Tiri's evil laughter echoed through…
X
"NO!"
Blaze jumped from his bed at the outburst at the familiar voice.
"Crusher?"
He immediately drove out of his room and into his new brother's. As he did, black rocks suddenly appeared the door, causing him to gasp.
"Oh no!" he concentrated as hard as he could to get in control of the rocks to get into the room. "Crusher! Let me in!"
Nothing but sobs were heard from the other side. Blaze hissed and slammed his tire down, causing the black rocks to lower down. He sighed in relief and opened the door.
"Crusher— GASKETS!" Blaze yelped as black rocks surrounded the dark blue truck, who was asleep but was breaking down and sobbing on his bed.
He tried to get in control of the rocks, but they opposed him and got stronger as Crusher's breakdown worsened.
"NO, NO, NO!" the dark blue truck yelled out, hyperventilating as his tears streamed down his cheeks. "STOP PLEASE!"
"CRUSHER!" Blaze reached out for his brother as much as he could. "Crusher, snap out of it! WAKE UP!"
"NOOOOO!" Crusher screamed, eyes widening as he got up with a gasp.
The rocks suddenly stopped at his awakening. Blaze sighed in relief and managed to lower down the other rocks before driving towards the other.
"Crusher, are… are you okay…?"
"B-Blaze…?" Crusher glanced up at his brother, his body trembling and his voice shaky. "I-Is that… Is that really you…?"
"Yeah," Blaze nodded and hopped on the bed to hold him close. "Yeah, it's me. It's me, Crusher, I'm here,"
Crusher shut his eyes and broke down in the other's tires. Blaze held his brother close but didn't say a word to let the other cry.
As soon as he was calm enough, Blaze let out a sigh.
"Do you… wanna talk about it…?"
"Z-Zhan Tiri," Crusher sniffled his tears as he stuttered. "She… She says that she's still alive… that I… that I'm still under her control… and that I… I'll kill you all…"
"Shh, shh, it's okay," Blaze told him. "It's alright. Zhan Tiri isn't here. She's gone, remember? And whatever she told you or showed you? That will never happen,"
"But… I did it once before!" Crusher cried out. "I could do it again! I… I'm a monster!"
"You are NOT a monster, Crusher!" Blaze shook his head. "Whatever happened was NOT your fault. Stop blaming yourself, please," He wiped the other's tears and smiled. "Pickle doesn't blame you. Our friends don't blame you. I don't blame you,"
"It… It doesn't matter if you don't," Crusher sobbed. "I KNOW that it is my fault,"
"Shh, now," Blaze held his brother close again. "It is NOT. Let's leave it as that. I don't ever want you to tell yourself that, alright?"
"I… o-okay…" Crusher returned the hug and let out a shaky breath. "I… I'll try,"
"That's all I'm asking for, brother," Blaze smiled.
Unbeknownst to them, a pair of demonic eyes spied on the brothers from the window…
