"Dragons??" Zeg questioned.
"Wait, DRAGONS?!" Stripes's jaw dropped. "As in… the Guardian Dragons?! The ones in charge of looking after every treasure in all the world?!"
"…yeah," Blaze nodded. "Well, except AJ. He's human,"
"Well, it WOULD make sense," Starla pointed out. "With the whole fire pattern thing,"
"Yeah…" Blaze sighed. "Sorry for not telling you guys sooner,"
"It's alright, B," Darington smiled.
"Yeah, it's understandable," Watts agreed.
"Yeah!" Stripes grinned. "I mean, if I had known that there were monsters here in Axle City—" He suddenly caught his words, however, and gulped. "oh shoot,"
"Stripes, what do you mean, 'more monsters'?" Gabby raised an eyebrow at the tiger truck. "Do you KNOW any other monster here in Axle City?"
The topic seemed to make the other trucks tense. Blaze noticed this and frowned, looking around at them.
"Guys...? Is there something you need to tell me?"
"Uh…" each of them started looking uncomfortable.
Gabby got off of Watts and turned to them with crossed arms. AJ went beside her and glanced at them with the same expression as Phoenix and Flame looked concerned and Sparkle looked confused.
"Well, uh..." Starla started before shaking her head. "I… I've got nothing to say! But Stripes, if you have somethin' to say, you go first,"
"Oh, NO, I… I've got nothing either!" Stripes defended with a gulp. "And if I did, I… I'd let ladies first! Watts, you go!"
"I have nothing! Honest!" Watts raised her tires. "Uh, Zeg, you go!"
"Zeg have nothing! Zeg not say anything!" Zeg gulped. "Not me! Darington go!"
"Wh-What??" Darington swallowed. "I… I…" He glanced at everyone in the room, his eyes resting at Blaze's confused and concerned gaze before sighing. "Okay, okay… I… I've got something to tell…"
"What is it, Darry?" Blaze asked.
"I… I'm…" Darington sighed again. "I'm… a Ghost,"
"Say whaa...?" Sparkle gasped. "You don't look like a ghost..."
"I change form whenever I go out," Darington explained. "That's why I live at the park instead as of a house. So the house doesn't seem 'haunted', as they say,"
"That... makes sense..." Gabby said after a moment. "Watts, you wanna maybe share, too?"
"I… alright," Watts sighed and took a deep breath. "Guys, I… I'm… a vampire,"
"A vampire? That's neato!" Darington chuckled.
"Anyone else wanna share while we're in the moment?" AJ asked.
"Well, since Watts shared… I guess I'll go next," Starla took a deep breath and sighed. "I'm… a werewolf,"
"Well, I didn't see that coming," Blaze sighed, "but it does explain why you're not too keen on night events, especially under a full moon."
"Yep," Starla grinned. "Also also explains what happens to those who flirt with Watts,"
"Wait, what?" Watts stared at her girlfriend. "Starship, what…?"
"Mm?" Starla glanced at her innocently.
"Well, who else wants to go next?" Gabby asked.
"Uh… Zeg go next," Zeg volunteered. "Uh, friends, Zeg is… golem,"
"What's that?" AJ asked.
"A Golem is a clay figure brought to life by magic," Stripes explained.
"Whoa..." the group all gasped in amazement.
"Then, Stripes, what are you?" Blaze questioned.
"Why do you guys assume that I'm also a monster?" Stripes asked.
"Because you never knew we were, and you said that there are 'other' monsters in Axle City," Starla deadpanned.
"…fair enough," Stripes sighed and shifted his tire uncomfortably. "I'm… a manticore,"
"What is that?" Sparkle asked.
"I'm a being with a body of a lion and a tail of a scorpion," Stripes explained. "I've got wings too, but they're hidden,"
"Whoa..." Sparkle gasped in wonder. "Cool!"
"Man, it feels good to get that off my chest," Darington sighed.
"So... what do we do now?" AJ asked.
"You kids have to track down the Treasure of Destruction before Speedrick does," Phoenix told them.
"How do we do that when we've never seen it or know where it is?" Starla asked.
"There has been clues pointing to the Enchanted Forest," Flame said. "You can all start there while Phoenix and I keep Speedrick distracted. Sparkle, go with your brother,"
"Yes, Dad. I actually can't wait to see everyone in monster form!" Sparkle squealed.
"Let's go!" Blaze beamed and led everyone out the door.
As soon as they were out, Darington tilted his head head. "Uh, B, do you know where the Enchanted Forest is?"
"No… but I bet Stripes does," Blaze turned to the tiger truck.
"Yeah, yeah, it's always the magic expert," Stripes chuckled and turned. "Come on, I'll lead the way,"
X
"Here we are!" Stripes said as they entered the nearby forest.
"It's beautiful!" AJ gasped
"So, do you think now would be a good time to reveal our true forms, since we're alone?" Darington asked
"I'll go first," Blaze offered as he closed his eyes.
A swirl of red magic surrounded him as his body shifted and grew in size. They all gasped as the magic ceased, revealing a tall, large, fiery red dragon with savage blue eyes as his whole body heated up with fire.
"Whoa... you look beautiful!" AJ gasped.
"He sure does..." Darington sighed dreamingly.
Blaze let out a huff of smoke before his body shrunk with more red magic. The magic ceased, and in front of them stood a human-form of their friend, with maroon dragon wings, pale yellow skin and his grey horns sticking out of his fiery red hair.
"Whoa!" Stripes exclaimed in shock. "I didn't know dragons could do that!"
"We can!" Sparkle giggled, her form changing into a being similar to Blaze's, but her hair was fuchsia, her wings were pink, and her skin was pale orange. "Isn't it awesome?!"
"And we can move about easily in this form than our true forms," Blaze added.
"Oh, okay," Gabby smiled and nodded. "Who wants to go next?"
"I'll go," Stripes volunteered.
Stripes let out a roar, and his whole form morphed, growing larger and larger until he was almost as tall as the trees. His fur had turned dark orange, and he had a purple mane and golden savage eyes while a maroon scorpion tail stuck out from behind.
"Whoa... that's incredible!" Watts exclaimed.
The manticore gave a bow before shrinking down to a human form, fur, mane, and tail still the same color as his stood up tall on his bare feet.
"Man, I haven't been in my form in a while," Stripes sighed and stretched his arms. "It feels SO stiff!"
"Zeg go next!" Zeg cried out before shutting his eyes.
Everyone gasped the dinosaur truck enlarged, his skin turning brown and clay-like as he grew into a large being, standing on clay feet as he let out a roar. He still had his three horns as his transformation was complete.
"Whoa..." they all gasped.
"Zeg, you look amazing!" Starla beamed.
"Really?" Zeg was taken back. "Zeg not look ugly? Other monsters say Golem very ugly,"
"No way!" Sparkle shook her head. "I think Golems are cool!"
"Aww, Zeg thank friends for compliment," Zeg smiled, his mouth looking strange with how the clay shifted on his face, but it was still recognizable.
"Who wants to go next?" AJ asked.
"I will," Darington offered.
He took a deep breath and felt his body lighten up as his truck form melted into nothing but scraps. His ghost form appeared, his skin pale and his blue-dyed brown hair messy as a piece of shrapnel stuck out from his hair, impaling his head while his eyes were white and lifeless.
"So... what do you guys think?" he asked at their shocked looks. "Guys?"
"Well... we just weren't expecting your look to be so... well..." Gabby struggled to find the words.
"Well... what?"
"It just... shocked us how... beat up you sorta look," Blaze said. "It's not that we don't like it, it's just... it surprised us."
"Oh! I can explain that," Darington nervously chuckled. "You see, I was trying to do a stunt and rebel against some of the authorities. I did a major jump, and... well, you see how that ended up,"
"Oh... wow..." Sparkle said. "That's brave."
"Eh, that was years ago," Darington shrugged. "Like... 100? 200? Years ago, or something,"
"Whoa! That is a long time ago!"
"How old were you when you died, Darry?" Blaze asked.
"I don't know... like 17, or something," Darington gave another shrug.
"Wow... I bet it was hard on your family..."
"...they were all killed by the colonizers," Darington coughed out. "but uh, let's not talk about that right now. Who's up next?"
"Watts, don't vampires usually hate light?" Gabby asked. "It might be better for you to do it after dark."
"It's fine," Watts assured her. "I have a hood, so I'll be fine,"
She took a deep breath and allowed yellow electric magic to surround her. When the magic ceased, in front of them stood a girl in a dark pink hood and cape, eyes red as blood and fangs shimmering white as she had pink and purple hair and pale skin.
"Whoa... you're so beautiful it's scary!" Starla shuddered.
"Thanks, Starship," Watts giggled.
"That leaves Starla," Stripes pointed out.
"But, Starla's a werewolf, and werewolves can only be that way when the moon comes out," Sparkle reasoned.
"Yeah, too bad, so sad," Starla grinned victoriously.
"D'aww, that's unfair," Darington pouted.
"But how are you going to get around in your truck form?" Stripes questioned. "The enchanted forest can get a little... you know, trappy with the branches and whatnot,"
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Starla sighed. "Ya'll lucky I've got a human wolf form..."
"Huh?" the group looked confused.
Starla chuckled and took out a bottle of moon dust before sprinkling it down on herself. The moon dust surrounded her in silver magic before her form shifted into a smaller form, and when it ceased, there stood a humanoid wolf with coal black fur and bright yellow eyes while her cowgirl hat still stuck by on her head, her pointy wolf ears sticking out of it.
"Whoa! Awesome!" AJ gasped
Unbeknownst to them, a little fairy had been spying on them as they transformed. She watched their forms change in surprise with a gasp.
"Blaze and his friends are all monsters?" she spoke in a whisper. "I must tell Pickle about this,"
She took out her magic wand and used it to poof out of the forest into her brother's house. She shifted into her truck form, her blue hair being the only thing that never changed from her forms as she zoomed to her brother's room and knocked on the door.
