The group gasped as they turned to see Speedrick swimming down to them with a smirk.

"Don't look him in the eyes!" AJ yelled.

"Oh, thank you for the gift!" Speedrick cackled as he used his tail to swipe Crusher from Pickle's hold. "Now my treasure is mine!"

"NO!!" Pickle screamed.

"Let him go, Speedrick!" Blaze growled, swimming to the Medusa, his wings spreading out threateningly.

"Hmm… no," Speedrick took hold of Crusher. "You've all done such a terrible job keeping safe so far. Why should I give him back?"

"He's been chained up like a wild animal, and there's no doubt you'd do it to him again!"

"Well duh," Speedrick hissed, holding the siren close. "He's mine now~ And I'll never let him go!"

With that, he turned and proceeded to swim off.

"We have to go after him!" Starla growled.

"GET BACK HERE!" Pickle scowled, his wand glowing red as he blasted towards the Medusa, causing Speedrick to yelp.

"GAH!"

Crusher slipped out of his grip, causing Blaze to swim forward and take him into his arms.

"Got him!"

"NO!" Speedrick scowled. "GIVE HIM BACK!"

"Swim for it!" AJ exclaimed.

They swam off, away from the Medusa-Naga. Pickle created a portal with his wand and motioned them to follow him.

"Guys, THIS WAY!"

They all swam through the portal, which closed just in time for them to escape. They reappeared on the beach and landed on the sand with a thud.

"That was close!" Starla sighed in relief.

"Too close," Blaze sighed as he carried Crusher, who started to wake up.

"Wha... what happened...?"

"You got knocked out after you destroyed the vault," Stripes explained.

"You feeling better?" Blaze asked.

"A little… dizzy," Crusher admitted. "How did I… destroy the vault?"

"Your scream of terror released some sort of magic," Starla explained.

"What?!" Crusher gasped. "How?! I… I can never do spells! Not with this voice,"

"Well, you sure did," Sparkle said. "So, what can we do about the Speedrick problem?"

"We need to keep Crusher safe and away from Speedrick," Blaze declared. "It's the only way for him not to kidnap him again,"

"But... what if we can't?" AJ asked.

"We… We'll think of a back-up plan to that," Blaze sighed and turned to Crusher. "You think you can walk from here?"

"I… think so," Crusher nodded, holding his shell necklace. "Shell in hand, from water to land!"

Immediately, his tail slowly vanished, and legs appeared in it's place.

"I don't think I'll ever get used to that," Gabby admitted.

Crusher snorted as Blaze helped him on his feet. Crusher tried to stand but his feet wobbled, and he fell. He groaned with a hiss.

"You okay?" Blaze asked.

"Not… really used to legs," Crusher sighed.

"Don't worry, I got ya," Blaze scooped him up again. "You are surprisingly light in this form,"

"Eh," Crusher shrugged.

Pickle watched the duo with a light glare and a huff. Darington floated beside him and tilted his head curiously.

"You okay?"

"I wanna carry Crusher…" he whined.

"Why don't you?"

"Weak fairy arms," Pickle sighed.

"Why can't you lift him with magic?"

"Oh yeah!" Pickle beamed and raised his wand, lifting Crusher out of Blaze's arms. "Okay! Now let's head back to the cottage! I'm sure it's safe there now!"

"Yeah, let's go."

Pickle aimed to his wand when he remembered that he was still lifting Crusher. With a sigh, he set him down and let Blaze carry him again before making a portal. The others seem to notice this and were curious.

"I think Pickle might be a little jealous," AJ giggled.

"I AM NOT!" Pickle screeched, cheeks flushing.

"Maybe," Starla shrugged, "but let's get to the cottage quick."

"…right," Pickle nodded and led them through the portal.

When they got to the cottage, however, they were met with a horrible sight.

"GRANDPA!!!"

Pickle zoomed to his grandfather, who was left a statue in the now-destroyed cottage. Crusher slowly got off from Blaze's hold and managed to run to to Pickle's side. The group, on the other hand, looked shocked at the damage that Speedrick had done to the place.

The cottage was had torn down, the wooden walls knocked over. The once beautiful garden was burnt over, with birds and butterflies that fluttered by stone and unmoving while the flowers growing had been torn and lightly burnt as well.

"What do we do now, Blaze?" AJ asked.

"I… I don't know…" Blaze admitted as they watched Pickle cry over his grandfather's stone body. "I—"

"PICKLE!"

They all turned to see another fairy zoom to them with brown hair and light blue wings. Pickle glanced up at her in surprise.

"Millie?" Pickle flew over to his sister. "W-Where are the others?"

"Some stone, others are in Axle City to hide," Millie replied with a wince. "And by others, I mean Lily, Ben and Baby Gherkin. Everyone else is… gone,"

"No... NO!!"

Pickle began to cry more than he already was. Millie took him into her arms to comfort him.

"Millie, what about our mom and dad?" Sparkle asked. "Are they okay?"

"No…" Millie shook her head. "I saw them at the park. They DID put up a good fight, though…"

"No... no, Blaze! NO!!"

Sparkle ran to her brother's arms, crying. Blaze hugged her gently to comfort her.

"Shh... shh... it'll be... okay..." he said through sobs.

Crusher glanced at them before turning to Pickle, who was still crying. He suddenly felt guilty for the sadness brought up at the situation as he grimaced.

"Guys…" he murmured. "I… this is my fault, isn't it?"

"What do you mean?" Starla asked.

"I mean… Speedrick is after ME," Crusher sighed. "If he wasn't then… he wouldn't do all… this,"

"Crusher, he's been after you since he came here," Stripes pointed out.

"True…"

"Which I guess would make sense, but don't consider it as YOUR fault," Darington told him.

"Still…" Crusher sighed.

"Guys, no time for the blame game," Blaze told them. "We need to think of a way to make sure Speedrick doesn't get Crusher. Any ideas?"

"Well…" Millie began to think. "You can always take him to the Mountain of Dragons,"

"We can?" AJ asked.

"Sure!" Millie nodded. "The Mountain of Dragons is where all Guardian Dragons keep the treasures they find. It's like the underwater vault… but more open and no chains,"

"Phew..." Crusher sighed in relief.

"Then that's where we'll go!" Blaze declared. "Pickle, can you send us there? Sparkle and I haven't been there in a long time,"

"S-Sure," Pickle sniffled his tears and nodded before he flew away from his sister and waved his wand.

Magic surrounded them as their surroundings began to disappear, and they soon found themselves at a bottom of a tall mountain that went so high that the clouds covered the top.

"Whoa... that mountain is really tall!" Stripes cried.

"How are we going to climb up there before Speedrick finds us out?" Watts asked.

"Blaze and Sparkle can fly us all up there!" AJ suggested.

"Oh yeah!" Blaze grinned and nodded. "Come on, Sparkle! Let's transform!"

Sparkle nodded, and the group watched as their friends were surrounded by magic, growing larger and larger until an orange dragon and a red dragon stood before them.

"Everyone, get on!" AJ exclaimed.

They all hopped on each dragon's backs then Blaze and Sparkle took off into the sky.

"Whoa! This is high!" Crusher freaked out.

"Just hold on to Blaze, and you'll be fine," AJ assured him.

"Oh, don't worry-- I will!"

Crusher held on to the red dragon as tightly as he can as they flew off into the clouds. Pickle huffed and got off of Sparkle's back to fly over to Crusher. He grabbed onto him with his wand and flew up ahead of them, causing some of the others to snort.

"I think Pickle's jealousy's going up to protectiveness," Starla chuckled.

"Yep," Stripes agreed with a snicker.

"Hey, GUYS!" Pickle called out from ahead. "There's a temple on top of the mountain!"

"Hang on!" Gabby cried.

The dragons let out a roar as well before they flew off to catch up with the fairy. They soon went through the clouds, and they gasped to see red and gold temple at the top of the mountain, shimmering at the sun's light.

"Wow... that's amazing!" Stripes gasped.

"IT'S SO INCREDIBLE!" Pickle cheered, raising his wand up so hard that his spell to carry Crusher broke off. "Oh no! Crusher!"

"Hurry, Blaze!" AJ urged. "We gotta catch him!"

Blaze let out a roar and flew down just in time. Crusher screamed as he fell until he landed on Blaze's scaly back with a gasp.

"Phew... that was close."

"Sorry!" Pickle hissed with a jealous huff as he flew to fly by Blaze and Sparkle's sides. "I'm sorry, Crusher! You okay?!"

"Yeah, I'm okay," Let's just hurry before anything else happens."

They all managed to fly down towards the temple. They all landed on the ground with a thud, with Blaze and Sparkle shifting back as soon as everyone was off. They all glanced up at the temple in amazement.

"It's incredible!" Gabby gasped.

"Let's go, everyone!" Blaze led the group in.

They all entered the temple's golden halls, with silver statues of past Guardian Dragons around them guarding treasure chests.

"Whoa..." Starla gasped. "what're these statues for?"

"These statues help with guarding treasure," Blaze explained. "Each dragon is an ancestor of ours, and when a Guardian Dragon passes, a statue is placed in their honor to help guard the treasures kept at the temple,"

"Amazing!" Darington cheered.

"Hmm…" Crusher glanced down at the treasure chests at the feet of the statues unsurely.

"Still worried if there are chains, Crush?" Pickle asked.

"A little..." Crusher whimpered.

"Don't worry," Pickle assured him. "If this temple has chains, we're leaving. Promise,"

"Thanks." Crusher smiled.

"Here we are!" Sparkle exclaimed, pointing to large, yellow doors in front of them.

"Where exactly here?" Zeg asked, tilting his head at the door.

Darington zoomed through the doors and gasped. "WOAH!"

"What is it, Darington?" Watts asked.

"GOLD! LOTS AND LOTS OF GOLD!" Darington squealed as he flew into the room through the doors once more. "THERE ARE STACKS OF GOLD IN HERE!"

"Darry, careful!" Blaze called out to him. "Some of those treasures are heavily—"

CRASH! BOOM!

"GAAAAAH!"

"DARINGTON!"

Blaze immediately opened the door, and they all gasped as a giant golden dragon stood inside, mouth full of flames as Darington flew back to them in fear.

"Okay, I think I made it mad!"

"You THINK?!" Stripes gave his friend a questioning look.

The dragon let out a roar as it charged towards them, mouth open and ready to burn.

"Can't you two calm it down?!" Starla yelled at Blaze and his sister.

"We can try," Blaze gave a hiss as he slowly approached the dragon. "Um, greetings, Ancient Guardian Dragon. I am Blaze, and my sister and I are also a Guardian Dragons—"

But the dragon didn't give him a chance to finish his sentence as he let out his fire towards them.

"Okay, maybe we can't!" Sparkle said, pulling him away.

The dragon was growled as he stomped towards the group. His eyes narrowed at each of them until his eyes settled on Crusher, who gulped under his gaze.

"Is he gonna turn me to dust...?"

The dragon moved closer to him, as if observing him before his long, golden tail appeared and grabbed onto Crusher with a tight grip.

"Oh no, no no no!!" Crusher struggled to get free. "Lemme go!!"

"Crusher!" Pickle flew up with his wand. "Hey! LET HIM GO!"

The dragon growled and roared at him, blowing him back to the halls. He then turned around and stomped off, carrying Crusher with him.

"What dragon doing?" Zeg asked.

"Hmm… I think he senses what Crusher is as the Treasure of Destruction," Blaze hypothesized with a gasp. "That's why he's taking him! To store in the room!"

"Should that be a good thing or a bad thing…?" Gabby asked.

"Depending on how he stores him," Blaze replied. "Come on, let's go make sure Crusher's okay,"

"WAY AHEAD OF YOU!" Pickle zoomed back into the room at top speed. "I'M COMING, CRUSHER!"

"Pickle, wait for us!" Stripes yelled.

They all ran after the fairy and the golden dragon. They made it to the end of the room, where a golden, transparent box that hovered up above the ground.

"No!" Crusher pleaded. "Don't put me in there!!"

"CRUSHER!" Pickle flew to the dragon. "No, STOP! Please! You don't—"

The dragon huffed and swatted him away with his wings, causing to yelp as he crashed onto the group.

"WOAH!"

They all fell and collided on one another, ending up in a pile. The dragon huffed and opened the box to place Crusher inside.

"No, nonononononono!!! NO!!"

Just as the dragon was about to let go, hissing of snakes came from outside. The group gasped as they turned to see their enemy slither in with a smirk.

"Surprise!~"
