Yes, I actually do have a brown beard.

I'm a 24-year-old man from Texas. I'm a traveler at heart. I've already gone to Mexico, Belize, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, but eventually, I'd like to spend some amount of time in Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Russia, Norway, Finland, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, Morocco, India, Taiwan, and Japan. Not necessarily in that order, and who knows if I'll be able to get to all of them.

I'm a bit of a language nerd, too. I can speak English (duh) and German (although, admittedly, my German is pretty rusty), and I'm in the process of learning Spanish (already know a fair bit just because of where I live), Japanese (I have all the kana memorized plus a few dozen kanji, I have a semi-decent vocabulary, and I've begun constructing proper sentences; however, I still have a very long way to go), and Polish (very basic knowledge, since I just barely started learning). I've also come quite a way with Russian recently. Eventually, I'd also like to learn Greek, Hebrew, Latin, a Nordic language (it's between Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic, and Faroese; haven't decided which yet) and maybe Arabic and Navajo.

I'm a pretty big history nerd, too. I really love European history and Japanese history in particular, though I have very little interest in American history. Despite that, my American History classes were by far my favorite classes that I ever took in college, though part of the blame for that goes to the professor (shout-out to Professor Hanson from UTSA, the most badass professor I ever had).

I can play the cello and I dabble a bit in the guitar (I have both an acoustic and an electric guitar). I have the following albums on vinyl, in alphabetical order by artist name, followed by album title: Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam and Sung Tongs; Between the Buried and Me - Colors, Coma Ecliptic (pink vinyl), The Great Misdirect, and The Silent Circus; The Black Dahlia Murder - Ritual (green and white vinyl with a cool pattern); Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3; Emerson Lake & Palmer - Trilogy; Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven; King Crimson - Lizard; Madvillain - Madvillainy; Mastodon - Crack the Skye (baby blue vinyl); maudlin of the Well - My Fruit Psychobells... A Seed Combustible; Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath; MF DOOM - Mm... Food; Panda Bear - Person Pitch; Radiohead - Kid A; and The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground and Nico.

My favorite book series is The Demonata by Darren Shan (probably the most metal thing that's ever come out of Ireland), followed by Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod. My favorite standalone books are No Country For Old Men, Slaughterhouse Five, I Am Legend, The Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, and The Giver. I'm pretty partial to Edgar Allen Poe, but my favorite real life author, period, has to be HP Lovecraft. My favorite Lovecraft stories are The Shadow Over Innsmouth, The Call of Cthulhu, The Rats in the Walls, Dagon, and The Nameless City. I also have to admit, as over-the-top and cheesy as it is, the film entitled "Dagon" based on The Shadow Over Innsmouth is a guilty pleasure of mine.

My favorite Japanese media are Perfect Blue, Spirited Away, Hunter X Hunter, Durarara!!, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Dragon Ball (though, I don't care for Super all that much), Full Metal Alchemist (both anime), Death Note, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Onani Master Kurosawa (despite its odd premise, it's actually fucking amazing), Black Lagoon, Code Geass, Hellsing Ultimate, Trigun, Great Teacher Onizuka, New Game!, the Soulsborne series, the Kingdom Hearts series, Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy (3, 4, 5, 6, 10, and Tactics Advanced) and The Legend of Zelda (2: The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Phantom Hourglass). My favorite western media are Ben 10, Futurama, Gravity Falls, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Archer, Breaking Bad, The Tudors, The Borgias (both series were done by Showtime), Dexter, Code Lyoko, Teen Titans, Burn Notice, The Sopranos, The Magicians, The Elder Scrolls Series (my favorites are Daggerfall and Morrowind, but the one I've played the most is Skyrim), GTA, Hitman, Assassin's Creed, Undertale, and TV Tropes.

I almost certainly missed some things, but w/e.
