"We made it!" Blaze cried, getting up on his tires.
"Woah…" Stripes gasped, looking around the surprisingly green sky.
"This place... it's amazing!" Darington squealed before tilting his head. "But why is the sky green?"
"It is as strange as the grass is aquamarine," Gallano giggled. "My world is quite different from yours. Other than the sky, water is quite different too, for it is red instead of blue!"
"Whoa! That is different, but cool too!" AJ exclaimed.
"Come friends! We must not waste any time," Gallano urged them to follow him through the forest of yellow leaves and pink wood. "The king of this realm is cruel and vain. If he spots us, he will surely try to get rid of us,"
"The king?" Starla repeated.
"King Percy, the ruler of this kingdom," Gallano explained. "He is cruel and only cares about himself. I had even theorized that HE was the one who casted the evil on everyone in this land,"
"Why would he do that to his own kingdom?" Watts wondered.
"Greed, and stuff like that…" Gallano trailed off with a shrug. "Anyway, come on. We have to go before he finds us!"
Meanwhile, in the castle, Young King Percy was doing his kingly duties in the throne room when his magical staff of crystals began to glow. Curious, he set his work down and picked up his staff.
"Hmm…" he peered into the crystals and gasped to see Gallano making his way through the forest with the team. "Is that…? No, that can't be! I… I banished him! And he brought… outsiders? How DARE he?!" He stood up from his throne with a growl. "Howlers, I summon thee!"
At once, a group of shapeshifters came to him, eyes glowing red as they bowed before him. Percy held out his staff to command them.
"Howlers, get rid of Gallano and his friends!"
"Yes, your majesty!" they all cried then they all shifted their forms into wolves before running out of the palace.
Meanwhile, the group were still going through the forest when they heard howls and growls from nearby.
"Is that... wolves?" AJ asked.
"The Howlers!" Gallano hissed as the wolves suddenly came out, teeth sharp and eyes glaring as they came forward.
"What Howlers?" Zeg asked.
"The Howlers are a rank of shapeshifters who can shift into wolves to protect their territories and their ruler," Gallano explained.
"So... how do we get past em?" Blaze questioned.
"You can use your own abilities against their's," Gallano said. "Anything that could overpower a wolf,"
"Like a tiger?" Stripes suggested.
"I'm not sure, but give it a try," Gallano encouraged.
"RAWRR!" Stripes roared as his form shifted into a real tiger.
He pounced onto the wolves, taking down two of them. Some of the wolves growled and scattered to surround them. Starla shifted into an elephant and blew out her trunk before stomping towards them, kicking them and swinging them away with her trunk.
"Get outta here, you pests!"
The wolves snarled and went over to attack the others. Watts and Zeg quickly shifted their forms while the others backed up. The wolves didn't stop, however, and were growling with every approaching minute.
"Back off, fiends!" Gallano cried, raising a nearby stick like a staff.
"GAH!" Pickle shifted into his cat form and jumped into Crusher's tires.
"What do we do know?!" Darington gulped, shifting into a squirrel to get on Blaze for protection.
"We need something larger to defeat these pests!" Gallano yelled.
"Like what?!" Gabby cried.
The wolves snarled and were coming closer and closer to surround them. Pickle whimpered in Crusher's tires as the wolves got too close.
Suddenly, a wolf lunged too quickly, and Pickle screamed as he was grabbed his the tail.
"AGH! HE'S GOT ME BT THE TAIL!"
"PICKLE!"
Crusher snarled, his eyes glowing icy blue as his form began to shift and glow electric blue. Everyone gasped as he began to enlarge into his dragon form.
"Woah!"
Crusher stared down at them before walking forward and grabbing shoving them behind him with his tail. He faced the wolf who got Pickle and snarled.
"Keep... AWAY FROM HIM!"
He blasted out electricity from his roar, shooting towards the wolves. Each wolf screeched as they were blasted before their forms shifted back into humans while they were knocked out cold.
Soon, he managed to blast the wolf holding Pickle, and the green cat leapt for joy as he was free.
"Yay!" he celebrated. "I'm free!"
"And the wolves are knocked out!" Blaze cheered. "We can finally go on!"
Before they could move, more howling came from a distance. Stripes groaned.
"You have to be kidding!"
Crusher grabbed Pickle with his tail and set him down on his back protectively then he turned to the pack of wolves coming their way. His wings rose up as he released a roar.
Suddenly, lightning fell from the sky in front of them threateningly. The wolves whimpered and began to back up.
"Yes!" Darington cheered. "You can't get us now, wolves!"
"Hmm…" Gallano stared at the giant dragon curiously as Crusher shifted back into his normal form. "A lightning dragon… interesting…"
"Why so interestin' Gallano?" Starla asked as they all shifted back into normal form.
"Interesting… in a sense that the form looks so… familiar…" Gallano murmured.
"Familiar?" Blaze questioned.
"Lightning dragons are not usually something anyone would or can shift into," Gallano explained. "And I haven't seen a lightning dragon, or any dragon shapeshifter, since…" he paused himself for a moment before shaking his head. "Never mind. It does not matter, let us just head forward before the king tries to stop us once more,"
"Good plan," Gabby nodded.
"Come, this way," Gallano led them off down the path.
Meanwhile, back at the castle, Percy hissed as he watched the group still approaching his kingdom.
"No, no, no, NO! They're still coming!" he raised his staff. "Fire Pride, I summon thee!"
At his words, an army of dark-skinned, orange-haired shapeshifters came to his throne and bowed. Percy pointed his staff at them to command.
"Fire Pride, stop Gallano and his allies before they reach the palace!"
"Yes, sire!"
With that, they shifted into lions and ran out of the castle.
