Crusher licked off his spoon before leaning his head against the other. "Okay, what happened?"
"My family..."
"They're back in Axle CIty?"
"Yeah..." Blaze sighed. "and they didn't take the news of our relationship really well,"
"You never told them?" Crusher asked.
"Thought I didn't need to, with how quickly news spread out," Blaze shrugged.
"They don't approve, do they?" Crusher gave a guess. "Not so surprising,"
"At least I left before they could say anything else to hurt you or me," Blaze shook his head. "I just couldn't handle it if they said anything else..."
"Shh, shh, it's okay," Crusher set his bow of ice cream down and hugged his lover, kissing his forehead. "Your family seem accepting and more open than your other friends. Maybe... they'll accept it sooner or later. We should give them time,"
"Yeah, maybe..." Blaze sighed and nodded with a smile. "Thanks. I needed that,"
"No problem, sweetheart," Crusher giggled.
