It took three weeks to fix up the farmhouse. At that time, they stayed in Grammy's farmhouse every night until they managed to fix up their new place.

Finally, after weeks of hardwork, the farmhouse looked brand new. The walls were painted red and blue while most of the doors and windows were replaced with metal, automatic doors and windows (Crusher's own creation). They even built an invisibility shield around the house in case anyone that could hurt them would never find the house, along with some booby traps that only Grammy could deactivate, so they told their friends to contact them before coming to visit.

Now that they had their home and their own space, away from any danger, they got closer with one another, through the best of times and the toughest of times...

Crusher watched as the news of him and Blaze leaving spread across the internet.

There were bashers, there were haters, there were all kinds of reactions that resulted into rage and hatred for them both. Every insult hurt him, no matter how much he was used to it already.

But what hurt him the most were the death threats.

The peope were yelling, threatening to kill Pickle, Darington, Zeg and their other friends, along with death threats to kill Blaze. It was all too much as he watched it all pop up on the screen of his tablet.

As he did, Blaze drove into the room and frowned at the scared look on his face.

"More threats...?"

"Y-Yeah..." Crusher shuddered. "It... It just keeps on going..."

"Hey, hey, it's okay," Blaze smiled and drove to his side. "They can't hurt you since we're already far away. You have nothing to worry about,"

Crusher gulped and nodded before watching him take his leave again. He glanced at his tablet and sighed, turning it off as he began to tear.

How was he gonna tell him that the threat wasn't just on him...?

"Hey... what's the matter?" Blaze turned back after hearing his sigh.

"N-Nothing," Crusher shook his head and got up. "I... I just need to get to Grammy... if you don't mind,"

"Oh... sure."

Blaze nodded but frowned as he watched his lover go. What was going on with him...?

"Grammy..." Crusher entered his grandmother's farmhouse with a sad smile.

"What is it, Crushy?" Grammy turned from her work and smiled at her grandson.

"I... I need some help," Crusher sniffled his tears. "There... There are people threatening to kill Blaze and our friends if... if Blaze and I still are gonna be together. I... I don't know what to do... or if I should tell him..."

"You should... so he and the others can get police protection." Grammy suggested.

"They... They're also threatening to take down the police department and... and everything," Crusher sighed.

"Well, I still think you should tell him," Grammy spoke, driving to take his tires into her own. "Then you both could work things out together,"

"I... I guess so..." Crusher slowly nodded. "Thanks, Grammy,"

"No problem. Now go- Blaze must be worried." Grammy chuckled.

Crusher smiled and gave his grandmother a hug before heading back. Just as he did, an awful idea settled onto his mind.

He wouldn't do it. He SHOULDN'T do it.

Blaze was his WHOLE WORLD. He would trade ANYTHING just to be with him.

But this relationship they had... it was deadly. Not for him, but for Blaze and all their friends.

And he couldn't let his feelings take over reality.

Blaze sighed as he turned off the news. It was the fifth news about his and Crusher's relationship, and it was starting to get irritating.

Just then, Crusher came through the door.

"Blaze..."

"Hey, Crusher!" Blaze beamed at the sight of him before his heart fell when he saw the hurt look on his face. "Did something happen at Grammy's?"

"No..." Crusher shook his head as he shut the door. "It's just... we need to talk,"

"We... do?" Blaze frowned. "Why...? What's the matter?"

"Not only are they making threats about me... but you too..." Crusher sighed. "And our friends too..."

"W-What...?" Blaze's eyes widened. "How... How could they...?!"

"I'm so sorry..." Crusher took a deep breath then he glanced up at him. "I... I think I have a solution to all this, though..."

"W-What?" Blaze raised an eyebrow. "What is it...?"

"I... I think we should... take a break," Crusher hesitantly told him. "With... With this relationship, I mean..."

"Wh-What?!" Blaze's jaw dropped. "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"

"Because if we don't break up, they're all gonna kill our friends!" Crusher defended, tears pricking his eyes.

Blaze was in disbelief. He couldn't take the heartbreak anymore, and he finally snapped.

"I THOUGHT BEING WITH YOU MADE YOU HAPPY! IT MAKES ME HAPPY! BUT IF YOU REALLY WANNA BREAK UP... THEN FINE!"

With that, he sped out of the house as fast as he could. Crusher watched him leave, his whole body trembling before breaking down into tears of his own.

"What have I done...?"

Crying filled the air and reached Grammy, who was out watering her flowers. She set her watering can down and looked around in confusion.

"Crushy...?"

She drove to the other farmhouse and looked inside to see Crusher crying. She wanted to head inside until she realized that Blaze was no where to be seen.

"Oh dear me..."

She drove out into the nearby forest in attempt to find the red truck. As she went deeper inside, she heard crying nearby.

"Blaze darling?" she drove to the lake to find Blaze sobbing on the grass, his tears meeting the lake water. "Blaze, what's the matter?"

"Go away..." the red truck blubbered. "I don't wanna see anyone..."

"That's how I know that you NEED to have some company," Grammy drove to his side and set a tire on his shoulder. "Are you alright, dear?"

"Grammy, PLEASE, just leave me alone," Blaze sniffled his tears.

"Something with Crushy...?"

Blaze just looked away. "He wants to break up..."

"Truly?" Grammy looked surprised. "Why would he ever wanna do such a thing? He loves you so much,"

"Those stupid threats... I just- ugh, what's the use in talking? It's all over the internet and news anyway..."

"Hmm, I see..." Grammy nodded in understanding. "He's trying to protect you, isn't he?"

"I don't know anymore... just PLEASE... LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Grammy sighed and nodded before turning and leaving. She made it through the forest and headed to the farmhouse but failed to find Crusher inside.

"Crushy...?" She looked around worriedly. "Where did he go...?"

She searched the whole farmhouse, from top to bottom but didn't find a trace of her grandson. She went back to her farmhouse and found a message from her phone. She picked up her phone and glanced down to view the message.

[Crusher: Grammy, I... I went for a walk to the nearby cliff. Tell... Tell Blaze that I... I'm sorry...]

"The cliff? Oh no... CRUSHY!"

She dropped her phone and headed straight back into the forest. She zoomed to the lake where Blaze was still wallowing in his sorrows.

"Blaze! Blaze!"

"I thought I told you to leave...!"

"Yes, yes, I know, I know, but please, Blaze," Grammy was pleading as her tears pricked her eyes. "We need to help Crushy!"

Blaze looked at her, confused. "What do you mean...?"

"He... He sent me text," Grammy explained. "He... He said that he went off to take a walk to the cliff..."

"Wait... doesn't that- oh no..." Blaze's eyes widened in horror.

"We need to find him- NOW!"

The duo then turned and zipped off towards the cliff.

Crusher stared down at the cliff, his tears rolling down his cheeks. His whole body shook as he neared the edge.

"Well... here goes everything..."

"CRUSHER! STOP!"

Crusher stiffened at the familiar voice and turned around. "B-Blaze?"

"Crusher, I am so sorry," Blaze pleaded. "I was just scared and upset... upset that you would betray me like everyone else has..."

"N-No... it... it's my fault..." Crusher sniffled his tears and turned away. "I... I shouldn't have said that we should break up... I... I'm sorry..."

"But I'm the one who made you go this far!" Blaze argued. "Please... we've ran away. So no one has to hurt us anymore."

Crusher's eyes widened before nodding. Just as he turned to drive back, the ground below him fell away, and he screamed as he found himself falling.

"NO!" Blaze zoomed to him and released his tow hook to grab onto him. "I got you!"

"Don't... Don't let go!" Crusher begged.

"I'll help you, dears!" Grammy drove over and released her tow hook.

"PULL!"

They both pulled and skidded their tires against the ground. Little by little, Crusher made his way up until his tires finally reached the cliff top.

"Made it..." Crusher sighed in relief.

"CRUSHY!" Blaze and Grammy met him in their tires.

"Crusher... can you ever forgive me for the way I acted...?" Blaze asked.

"Of course," Crusher nodded and returned the hug. "I... I'm sorry for almost going too far..."

"It's ok... let's go."

With that, they all turned to drive back to the farmhouses.
