It's been almost two months since Crusher and Blaze moved to the Great Forest. Life has been friendlier there than it's ever been. No one else bothered them, and the lack of knowledge of the place made it more peaceful for them.
Roarian and the animals had been friendly and welcoming, always helping them out when needed, and in return, they'd do the same. Not so much for Crusher considering the fact that Blaze wouldn't let him move a tire due to the fact that he could be in labor any minute.
But they never expected that minute to come so soon...
.
.
.
It was a typical day. Blaze was out getting berries for food, so Crusher took the opportunity to clean the house. He wasn't the monster machine who likes cleaning, yes, that's a fact, but the fact that this was the only time he got to be alone, away from his boyfriend's overprotectiveness is something he lived for.
Don't get him wrong, he LOVED Blaze to bits, but him and his protective instincts can be a little... irritating sometimes.
Just as he was sweeping, however, he felt a contraction, causing him to hiss in the pain. He held his stomach and took a few deep breaths.
"Okay, you two, don't... don't be so hasty..."
He spoke with hesitant breaths. The contraction soon passed, causing him to sigh in relief and get back to work. Just as he was about to, a more powerful contraction came, making him yelp and drop the broom. He tried to hold it in, but couldn't as he saw the oil dripping down his back tires, making him freeze in horror before screaming.
"BLAAAAAAAZE!"
X
"BLAAAAAAAZE!"
Blaze zoomed inside the house the moment he heard his boyfriend's scream. He knew that the other's contractions were worsening with every passing day. It was only a matter of time for the twins to arrive.
"Crusher?!" He burst into the living room and gasped when he found Crusher holding his stomach in pain.
"Babies... COMING!" Crusher panted. "Get Roarian! NOW!"
"On it!"
Blaze nodded and dashed out of the house as quickly as he could. He found Roarian playing with the animals at a nearby plain and zipped towards them.
"Roarian! The babies are coming! We need help to deliver them!"
"Understood," Roarian nodded.
He flew up and dashed towards the house. Blaze followed after him, and they entered to see Crusher ready to collapse in the pain. Roarian made his way to him.
"Alright, Crusher, deep breaths..." he instructed. "I need to fly you to a more comfortable place for the labor, alright?"
"Uh... ok..."
Crusher nodded slowly as he took deep breaths. Roarian used his sunstone to let Crusher fly then he helped him up to the second floor and to the bedroom. Blaze zoomed after them, watching as the flying lion set the dark blue truck down on the bed.
"Alright," Roarian spoke up. "Crusher, I need you take a deep breath and push. Push as hard as you can,"
"Ok..."
Crusher nodded and gave a big push. Blaze went to his side and held his tire as he did so. The dark blue truck screamed as he kept on pushing. Roarian used his sunstone to ease the pain a bit as one of the twins slowly came out, head-first. The flying lion grabbed the nearby blanket and waited until the child was out, her cries echoing through the room as he gently took her in and wiped her clean.
"Good job. Now, one more push."
"I... I'm tired..." Crusher panted.
"Come on, Crusher, you can do it!" Blaze urged.
Crusher groaned but nodded before giving another push and a scream. Roarian set the first twin down on one of the cribs that they had prepared for a few weeks back and got the second blanket, ready as the second twin slowly came out, head-first. The baby's cries soon echoed through the room, and Roarian took him in the blanket gently to clean.
"There now. One baby girl and one baby boy... perfectly healthy."
"Good job, Crushy..." Blaze sighed lovingly.
Crusher smiled dazily up at him before feeling himself faint. He gave a glance to the twins that Roarian now held out before losing consciousness from exhaustion.
"Crusher?!" Blaze gasped.
"It is alright, my friend," Roarian assured, handing the twins to him. "He is tired. I will help him get his strength back while you bond with your new children,"
"Wow..." Blaze glanced at the two and smiled. "they're beautiful... the most beautiful babies I've ever seen..."
The girl, who looked similar to Blaze, was the color of magenta with lightning blue designs, let out small squeak and opened her eyes to glance up at him, revealing coal black eyes. The boy, who looked similar to Crusher, was the color of lilac with a flame symbol on his sides, let out a small cry, opening his eyes to reveal ocean blue eyes.
"What will you name the young ones?" Roarian asked with a smile as his sunstone helped on healing Crusher.
"Hmm..." Blaze glanced down at the girl and smiled. "I'll call her... Magma,"
"And the boy?"
Blaze turned to the boy, who was still crying, so he gently rocked him. "I'll call him... Inazauma,"
"They're perfect names."
Blaze nodded in agreement, but something inside still made him down.
He loved his new son and daughter, he really did.
But... something was missing.
His family... and best friend.
"Something wrong, Blaze?" Roarian asked, sensing the other's change of aura.
"I just... wish my mom, dad, sister and AJ were here to see them," Blaze sighed. "But, AJ is one of my so called friends that tried to kill Crusher, and my mom and dad tried to poison him." He turned away to make sure Roarian couldn't see the tears in his eyes. "I just want us to be a happy family again... ALL of us."
"I wish I can help you, my friend," Roarian sighed and went over to gently pat his shoulder with his wing. "but only time will tell if your wish can come true. It's not too late, but only time will tell. I'm sure your friends and family will accept the truth soon,"
"Yeah..." Blaze half smiled. "Maybe... if you don't mind... I'd like to rest with Crusher and the twins a while."
"Go ahead," Roarian nodded and stepped aside. "I have finished healing him. He should be up by tomorrow. Rest well, my friend,"
"Thanks."
Blaze smiled and watched his friend fly out of the house. He then glanced at the sleeping twins then he drove over to his sleeping lover and went beside him.
"Don't worry... everything will be fine." He kissed his forehead and leaned his head over. "I promise,"
