"W-What?!"

Suddenly, the doors burst open, and in came Glacier and Crusher in their dragon forms. Crusher snarled as he made his way forward and growled at Shaw and Cryo.

"Crusher…?"

Crusher growled and grabbed Blaze with his tail. He set him down on his back and growled, lightning appearing from his wings as he glared at the brothers.

"Crusher... you're both okay!" he cried, hugging the dragon's neck. "I was so worried..."

Crusher smiled over at him and nuzzled the red truck's cheek. Cryo hissed and held the knife closer to Sparkle.

"Blaze... if you make one more move toward that... beast, your sister dies!"

"You won't have the chance to! Glacier, grab the gun! Crusher, let's get Sparkle!"

Crusher nodded and let out a roar before heading forward. Glacier snarled and grabbed the gun from Shaw's tires before grabbing Shaw and throwing his over. Cryo tried to back up, but the lightning dragon got to him first. Crusher managed to grab Sparkle with his tail and fly up to keep her out of reach.

"Are you okay?" Blaze questioned.

"A little shaken... but I'm okay." Sparkle nodded.

Crusher smiled. Suddenly, something hit him on the tail, causing him to let tell and let go of Sparkle.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!"

"Glacier, catch her!" Blaze begged.

Glacier nodded and swooped down, catching the girl on his back before she could fall. Sparkle sighed in relief as she landed on him instead of the ground.

"Phew... how do we stop them, bro?" Sparkle asked, turning to the red truck.

"I think I have an idea," Blaze replied. "But, Glacier, Crusher and I will have to combine our powers to do it. Do you guys trust me?"

Crusher immediately nodded. Glacier looked slightly hesitant but nodded anyway.

"Okay. Let's do it!"

The two dragons circled back to Cryo, who snarled and took out his blaster to shoot them.

"S-Stay-- stay away from me!"

"I'm sorry, Cyro," Blaze said, "but I have no choice..."

The dragons combined their magic, eyes glowing icy blue and electric blue. Blaze's sunstone glowed bright yellow while his eyes glowed fierce red, their magic combining as they confronted the Periwinkle truck.

"W-What are you doing?!"

"Making sure that you never try to hurt any of our friends and family ever again." Blaze spoke, his eyes glowing more fiercely than earlier.

Electricity, ice and fire combined together, igniting a bright glow around the trio. Cryo gulped and tried to run but found his tires stuck on ice.

"No... no no!!"

The blast soon launched towards him. Cryo screamed as he turned to find the blast aiming for him. As soon as he got caught in it's beam, he let out a blood-curdling scream.

"NOOOOOO!"

"CRYO!" Shaw drove to them in shock.

He took out a gun and aimed to shoot at the rest of the group, who were watching everything unfold. He shot at AJ, who gasped as he was hit by the bullet.

"AJ!!!"

Blaze lost his concentration, and the spell broke. Cryo gasped in relief before turning to drive away in escape with Shaw.

Meanwhile, Crusher and Glacier landed, and Blaze and Sparkle quickly drove over to AJ, whom Phoenix and Flame was holding for dear life.

"No... no no!" Blaze held his best friend. "Don't worry, AJ, I… I'll heal you!"

"N-No, Blaze..." AJ coughed. "You... you have to go after them..."

Crusher growled and flew after the brothers. Blaze smiled gratefully at his lover as he left before turning back to the boy.

"Don't worry-- Crusher's gonna catch them. I gotta take care of you first."

"I... I just want you to know I'm sorry..." AJ weakly sighed. "You're more than my best friend. You're... you're my brother. And don't you forget it..."

"AJ, I'm NOT losing you." Blaze spoke firmly, his sunstone glowing brightly to heal him. "Not now, not ever, little brother,"

His magic spread around on AJ's body, clearing the bullet wound and the bullet itself. Glacier set his tail down, causing magic ice to help speed the process. Soon, the wound was healed.

Blaze didn't say a word, but pulled his best friend in for a tight hug, tears streaming down his face.

"Blaze... please don't cry over me..." AJ spoke.

"I... I just can't believe Shaw would do this... shoot you of all people..." Blaze murmured.

"It's okay, Blaze," AJ patted his back with a smile. "I'm fine now, that's all that matters,"

"He's right," Roarian added as he and Grammy flew in.

"Roarian, I..." Blaze sat down and bowed his head in shame. "I'm so sorry... I let Cyro and Shaw get away..."

"It is nothing to be sorry about, my friend," Roarian assured him. "As a guardian, your job is to protect all those you love. Choosing to save AJ is what a guardian should do, and I have never been more proud,"

"Really?" Blaze asked.

"Indeed. And I think the sunstone around your neck senses it too."

Blaze glanced down at the sunstone, which glowed brightly in all colours in response. He chuckled.

"Yeah… I suppose it does…"

"We're just glad that ALL of you are safe!" Phoenix sighed in relief, hugging all three of her children.

"Me too, Mom..." Sparkle sighed. "But, what do we do now?"

Before any of them could suggest, there was a BANG! from outside before a pained roar echoed out. Blaze gasped, recognizing the roar.

"CRUSHER!!"
