I really enjoyed the duel that Alexis waged against the Juvenile Officers, so like before, I'll skip rewriting it. I mean, how awesome was she? She annihilated the three of them in one shot! Also, I am in the process of writing a Fairy Tail story. So expect to see, at most, two chapters of each story posted per month.
Duel Sanctuary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
After gathering Celina and the family she was protecting, Yuya and the others made their way up some stairs with the red-haired boy leading them as night fell.
Sylvio breathed heavily, "You know, I thought by counting these stairs it would take my mind off climbing 'em..." Sylvio let out an exhausted grunt. "But who knew they haven't invented a number that high yet?"
When they finally reached the top, Yuya put his hands on his knees while panting. "Don't stop, we're almost there." The boy pointed ahead. "You see?" Yuya looked and saw a rounded building. "This is our base! Now c'mon, let's head inside!"
Once inside, the Lancers and the boy sat on mats around an earth square. "I think intros are in order. I'll start first." The boy said. "My name is Allen. And over there, on soup duty is Saya." Allen pointed toward the bespectacled girl they met who was distributing soup. "She's also part of the Resistance."
"Here..." Saya handed a bowl of soup over to a survivor. "Hey, Saya!" Allen called out. "You've worked like three doubles in a row. Take some time for yourself and chill." "No... I'm fine, thanks." "All right, but I'm starting to feel bad that you're covering all my shifts. I really do feel awful but I know how good it makes her feel helping others. How about I cover my breakfast shift unless I sleep in?" Saya nodded. "See you at lunch." She then went back to helping another in line. "Here you go."
Allen sighed. "She knows me too well. I gotta say I'm pretty lucky to have someone as my best bud who loves helping people more than I do."
Sylvio finished drinking his tea. "Loves helping people, does she? Super! I love being helped! Would you be a dear and let your friend know that I'd love a refill on my tea?" "Quiet!" Gong said as he grabbed Sylvio's head. "Thank you."
As Gong put Sylvio in a headlock, Allen then said, "The resemblance really is uncanny. You know, I mean between you and Yuto, and her's with Lulu. When if first saw you, I thought you were them!" Saya, holding her apron in her hands, stood behind the two said duelists that beared an uncanny resemblance to two of their friends.
"Uhh, who's Yuto?" Sylvio asked Gong. "Some guy who supposedly looks like Yuya, but Gong can't even tell the difference betweeen a yam and a sweet potato."
"You guys related or something?" Allen asked curiously. "Not exactly, no." Yuya replied. "Uh-huh... I know you're in disguise, Yuto and Lulu. Those hairs are obviously wigs." "We're not them!" Celina insisted. "Come on, you can tell me!"
"Stop this." Shay ordered. "This is Yuya Sakaki and Celina. They're not Yuto and Lulu, all right?" "Sakaki?" Saya said in surprise as she knelt down.
"Then where's Yuto? Shay, you and he went to the Standard Dimension together. He make a wrong turn or something?" Allen questioned. "No, the truth is..." "Quiet." Yuto interrupted Yuya, from inside his body. "If you tell 'em that my spirit is inside your body, they'll only think your crazy." "But..."
Shay simply said, "The truth... is that Yuto is M.I.A. When he was in Yuya's dimension, he vanished." This shocked Saya and Allen. "I thought it was Yuya's fault, but who could blame me? He had Yuto's most cherished possession." He then flashbacked to when Yuya explained to Shay that Yuto gave him Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon during the Arc League Championship.
"Yuto must have trusted you." Allen said after they explained it. Saya then said, "I can't believe he's gone without a trace. Still... I feel like Yuto is somehow with us."
"He is here, in spirit. And since Yuto believed in Yuya, I'm gonna trust him too, to bring peace to our dimension." This earned him a smile from Yuya and Yuto. "Thanks, Shay." "Shay..." While this explanation went on, Saya and Celina's eyes met, which then caused the bespectacled girl to instantly look away from her. This caused Celina to be confused.
"Okay. Well, I, for one, am glad we got that sorted out, even though we really didn't... and I'm still as confused as ever and maybe even more so." "Then let's talk about something you do know." Celina suggested.
"Right..." Allen agreed. "How about I tell you all about those evil jerks from Duel Academy? And why we've been forced to hide out like this here."
Allen then explained that after Yuto and Shay left for Standard, Duel Academy had launched another raid. The result was that there were few survivors, barely able to mount a resistance.
"So that's what happened. If Yuto and I had stayed, maybe things would've been different." Shay lamented. "And that's why Kite's so angry." Yuya realized. Celina felt like even more of the guilt she had tried to keep at bay was piled up as she sadly looked at the floor.
"I can't blame him, after what happened to his family." Saya sadly said. This got Yuya's attention. "Family?" "Kite did his very best to protect them... But unfortunately, he wasn't able to."
"They were turned into cards?" Celina asked, hoping she was wrong in her assumption. Saya sadly answered, "Yes." Yuya and Yuto both said, "So sad."
Yuya made a harsh realization. "So that's why I can't get through to him like Jack. When I dueled Jack, it was like we were on the same side working for a common cause, but that wasn't the case for Kite."
Yuya then remembered what Kite said to them. "You dare oppose me? You must be from Duel Academy! And unless you beg for forgiveness, you're going to pay most dearly."
"And he sure meant it. He was so angry." Yuya thought back at how Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon and Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon clashed during the duel.
"But anger doesn't solve anything. If he doesn't learn that dueling's only to have a good time, well, there may never be peace." Yuya sadly lamented. "Man, my dad would know how to get through to him in a snap. I wish I did, too."
Saya then spoke up. "Say, uh... you said your name is Sakaki?" Yuya replied, "Yeah... How come?" "Wait, so... Are you related to Yusho Sakaki?"
The mention of his dad's name surprised Yuya. "You know Yusho Sakaki?! You know my dad?!"
"He's your dad?" Allen asked. "No, that can't be... he wore a top hat and all you've got is goggles!"
"So you do know him!" Yuya said as he faced Allen. "You're my first lead in like forever!" "That's incredible. How do people round these parts know about Yuya's dad?" Gong asked. "Who knows?" Sylvio pondered. Celina then realized it. "Unless, he's been here!"
"Been here? But of course. After all, Yusho Sakaki was our teacher." Saya explained. Yuya was surprised. "Your teacher?" "Yeah. About three years ago, he suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He taught us all sorts of dueling tricks and tactics, but the one he stressed the most was to always duel with showmanship, because when you put on a good show, you're showing you're the best duelist you can be!"
"Three years ago?! That's when... he-he vanished from my dimension before the important duel in his life!" Yuya excitedly stated. "That proves it. My dad wasn't a coward! He just went to another dimension to help you face Duel Academy!"
Allen bitterly said, "He is a coward! 'Cause when it mattered most, Yusho ran away and left us here to rot!" That caused Yuya to gasp in disbelief.
??? - ??? Dimension
Seagulls flew over a harbor as Zuzu and Sora came to in an alleyway. "Oh, man..." Zuzu said as she woke up. "Where are we?" "I... I don't know." Sora replied as he got up. He offered Zuzu his hand and helped her stand up.
They walked out of the alley and took a look around. Suddenly, Sora's face paled. "Oh, no..."
Zuzu was confused. "What's the matter Sora?" "I know where we are!" Sora said shakily. "This... this is the Fusion Dimension!" This shocked Zuzu, as her face also paled. "Of all the places we wind up, we ended up in the lion's den!"
"Hey! Isn't that a Duel Academy uniform?" A passerby asked as he pointed toward Sora. "Yeah, but that girl isn't wearing one." "Don't tell me they're dropouts that snuck out on the ferry!"
"Oh, snap!" Sora suddenly grabbed Zuzu's hand and they started to run as fast as they could. This at first startled Zuzu, but was quickly changed when the passerby called out for someone to chase after them.
"The Juvenile Officers are chasing us!" Zuzu was confused at the term. "The Juvenile what?" "They're duelists that hunt down and capture those who run away from Duel Academy!"
The Juvenile Officers then started to chase the two of them thru out the whole city. While running over a bridge, a blonde in a teal cloak in a gondola saw their chase.
Eventually, Sora and Zuzu were cornered in front of two massive stone doors. Try as they might, they couldn't open the doors before the officers caught up to them.
"Give it up. This is over! Now just come along with us..." Another Juvenile Officer continued, "We're sending you back to Duel Academy. And if you don't resist, I'm sure they'll let you off with only three months of detention." "But if you fight back... Well, I don't want to know what'll happen to ya." With that, the Juvenile Officers all activated their white-trimmed purple bodied Duel Disks' violet blades.
"Fine with us." Zuzu said as she got Sora's Standard Duel Disk out. "Let's do this!" Sora agreed as he readied his Duel Academy Duel Disk.
"Stop!"
The cloaked woman from the gondola somersaulted onto the bridge in front of Sora and Zuzu. As she turned toward the Juvenile Officers, she said, "If you want to duel... You'll duel me!"
The woman then removed her cloak, revealing a woman with fair skin, hazel eyes, long dark blonde hair that extended halfway down her back and wearing very faint lipstick. She had on a sleeveless white jacket that reached the waist with grey-blue edges and pockets on each side, a sleeveless black tank top, grey-blue fingerless gloves with wide cuffs and rectangles cut out over the backs of the hands in addition to white undersections that covered her wrists, a darker blue pleated and less restrictive skirt with a grey-blue lining, and blue boots. Her Duel Disk was a different shape than Duel Academy's Duel Disk, with it being shaped like a comma rather than a shield. It had a dark blue borderline that covered its left and right sides.
Sora recognized the woman. "You're... Alexis Rhodes!" Hearing her name called, the woman known as Alexis turned around and saw Sora. Blinking, she uttered in surprise, "You're... Sora Perse! Why are you here?!" "You two know each other?" Zuzu asked. Sora rubbed the back of his head as he looked at Zuzu. "Not personally."
The Juvenile Officers exclaimed in surprise, "I can't believe it's her!" "The Scourge of Duel Academy!" "The girl on the Professor's Ten Most Wanted List! We better be careful! But we have her outnumbered!"
"Yeah, still... I like my chances!" Alexis said as she swept her hair aside and deployed her light blue Duel Disk blade that was similar to Duel Academy's, but was curved and had a pointed arrowhead end.
"Good luck!" Sora encouraged. as the duel began. Zuzu couldn't help but wonder as the duel began, "Who is this woman?"
After Alexis had defeated the Officers with a one-turn victory, Zuzu was left in astonishment. "Amazing." "Quick, come with me." Alexis told them as she went back to her gondola.
When they reached it, Alexis called, "All aboard! This is our ride." As Alexis hopped in, Zuzu asked, "So how do you know each other?"
"Back in Duel Academy, I often heard about an extremely popular female honor student. Alexis was known for beating the stuffing out of every guy who tried to woo her." Sora explained, laughing at the last part. "I've heard about you as well, Sora." Alexis added. "You're a talented student that was at the top of his elite class and given a special mission by the Professor himself. I'm surprised that you left Duel Academy."
"Well, a lot of things happened. What do you say we talk about it once we get out of here?" Sora suggested to Alexis. "It's a deal."
Alexis took Zuzu and Sora to a building embedded in a small mountain. Moving a massive piece of furniture that was against the wall, a secret passage was revealed that took them underground. "This is a safe place." Alexis told them as they went down the stairway. "A place for kids who escaped from Duel Academy."
Zuzu and Sora saw that in a huge training room, several kids were dueling. "Where are we?" Zuzu wondered aloud.
"Welcome to our duel school. The You Show Duel School." Alexis said as she opened a door.
"YOU SHOW DUEL SCHOOL?" Sora and Zuzu shouted in surprise. "And here's our dean." As Alexis motioned them into the room, Zuzu gasped.
Inside the room was black haired man with inky-green shading and wearing a purple top hat with green goggles on the bottom side. He was fair skinned and had a slight mustache and goatee. He wore a performer's outfit; a red jacket with a purple lining and red pants over an orange waistcoat with a blue collar and lined with yellow. A handkerchief was worn around his neck. A red staff topped with a blue orb was by his side as he was sitting in a rocking chair. Zuzu recognized him instantly. Especially when he looked at her with those kind, golden eyes.
"What? Mr. Sakaki?!"
