I enjoyed the duel with Shay and Kite, so I'm not going to rewrite it. The events at the dome will be after Shay is defeated by Kite.
Duel Sanctuary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Saya carried a basket full of dirty laundry as she walked to the laundry room. "Even though today wasn't my shift and Allen said to take it easy, I want to do so. I just want work in order to avoid..."
Saya was so deep in thought that she didn't see someone was in front of her, causing them to bump into each other, spilling the laundry on the floor and causing them to fall on their butts.
"I'm so sorry!" Saya quickly apologized. "It's fine... Saya?! What are you doing?" Saya focused her glasses and saw Celina sitting in front of her.
"Ce-Celina?!" Saya scooted back a bit when she realized it was Celina that she bumped into. The reaction from Saya surprised Celina too, but she quickly dismissed it and started to help the girl pick up the laundry that fell and back into the basket.
Saya on the other hand, was mentally scolding herself as she put the dirty clothes back in the basket. "What do I do?! The person I want to avoid the most is right in front of me!"
"Thank you. Now if you'll excuse me." Saya bowed and tried to leave, but then slipped her foot in her hastiness. She would've fallen if Celina didn't catch her.
"S-sorry...!" Saya felt completely embarrassed. How could she act like a total klutz?!
"Is it really that hard to look at me?" "What?" Celina's question took Saya by surprise. "Is it hard to look at me because I look like Lulu?"
"Umm... well..." Saya's stuttered response made Celina sigh. "It's just as I figured. If she knew I was from Fusion, it would be even worse."
"Look, I understand if you don't want anything to do with me, but at least, tell me if I can be of some assistance to you guys." As Celina walked away from Saya, the girl yanked on her jacket.
"It's not that I dislike you or anything, it's just that..."
"Saya!" Saya's protest was interrupted by Allen rapidly approaching them saying, "We've gotten a lead on Kite's whereabouts!"
Spade Branch - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Yuya was out looking for his father, deciding to check out the ruins of what used to be the Heartland's duel school. The school was separated into two branches, Spade and Clover. Allen, Saya, and Kite attended the Clover Branch, while Yuto, Shay, and Lulu attended the Spade. But now, the school was completely destroyed, not being able to tell the divisions apart.
As he walked along the ruined hallways and past destroyed Duel Disks and cards, Yuya asked Yuto about his father and how he had said the same thing his dad always did. The answer Yuto gave was a shocker.
"I'm sorry Yuya, but I have never personally met your dad. I only heard that phrase from Lulu — before Duel Academy came and took her away." Yuya then looked at Yuto, who was only visible to him as a spirit. "I guess she must've learned it from Saya, huh?"
"Yeah. Your father's disappearance must've been hard on Saya too, because she was your dad's number one fan. She took personal lessons and everything. So when he disappeared right when everyone needed him the most... it really hit home." Yuya had to sadly agree with Yuto on that. "I get it... no wonder everyone's so upset with him." "Yeah. All that's left are the memories of better times."
Suddenly, Yuto spotted something. "Yuya, wait." Yuya halted in his tracks upon hearing that. "Go over to that locker over there for a bit."
Approaching a beaten up locker, Yuya opened it and saw two significant things. The first was a black deck case. The second was that on the inside of the door was a photograph. In the photo, Yuto and Shay were both in a girl's arms by their necks. The girl was smiling and had long dark purple hair that extended past her lower back even tied up in a bow-shaped style and had shorter, lilac side tails. Her hair was secured with a wing-shaped barrette. Since she beared a great resemblance to Zuzu, Yuya had to conclude one thing.
"Is that Lulu with you and Shay?" Yuya asked Yuto. "Yeah." Yuto smiled as he looked at the photo and then the deck case. "Glad I was right. This was my locker. And there's my backup deck."
"Backup deck?" Yuya asked. "Yeah, once I saw a student who forgot to bring his deck to school, so he couldn't duel during duel period. So I made a backup in case I did the same."
"Take it. I'm sure it will help us." "Alright, if you insist." Yuya took the deck case and put it in his right pocket. Glancing at the photo, Yuya asked Yuto, "Should we take that too?" Yuto stared at the photo.
Past - Spade Branch - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
He started to remember the first time he met Lulu. It was when the Spade Branch had a competition going on. Lulu had just defeated another fellow female duelist.
"That girl's incredible!" Yuto exclaimed. Shay added, "My sis has skills." "I know, right?" Yuto then looked at Shay and Lulu in disbelief. There wasn't any resemblance he could see that would make them siblings.
After the duel, Shay brought Yuto to meet Lulu. "You must be Yuto. Shay raves about you." Lulu's kind and serene smile instantly hit Yuto like an arrow. His face was dusted with a soft pink as his heart skipped a beat as he continued to look at her. One could only classify from this that it was love at first sight.
Present - Spade Branch - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
"Yuto?" Yuya's call to him snapped Yuto out of his recollection. He slowly shook his head. "No. Leave it here for now. We can come back for it later."
"Sorry..." Yuya's apology caught Yuto off guard. Confused at the guilty look Yuya had, Yuto asked, "For what?"
"Ever since we got here, you've been having a sad look in your eyes. I'm sorry. It seems I was so focused on finding dad that I forgot to take your feelings into consideration."
"No, Yuya. I don't mind. I can see how precious your dad is to you. I'm more than happy to help you look for him." Yuto assured Yuya as they left the building. But Yuya still had a sense of guilt.
"Hey Yuto, have you noticed that talking to you has gotten easier since I got to this dimension?" "Yes, but it started earlier — back in the Synchro Dimension. When we were with Yugo and Yuri. When the four of us got together, things got so crazy. I couldn't think straight, and our dragons started acting up like nothing I've ever seen before, like they were calling out to each other. I didn't know if I should be scared, excited, or worried."
Yuya agreed as they neared the exit. "I felt the same way, like I was myself but I wasn't really in control of myself. Know what I mean?" "Yeah, I do know what you mean because I felt the same way — and what I felt was not good."
"Yuto, I'm glad I have someone to talk to about all this, instead of having to dwell on it all on my own." Yuya told his Xyzian counterpart as he exited the school. Once they were outside, he looked at the wrecked tower in the middle of the city.
"Hey, just curious. What's with the tower in the middle of town there?" Yuya asked Yuto as he pointed to it. "That's Heartland Tower, or rather, what's left of it. It featured a giant heart on the top that symbolized the city's name. Before Duel Academy destroyed it." It brought another fond memory to Yuto. He went there a few times with Lulu, Shay, Kite, Allen, and Saya.
An explosion nearby startled the boys. The smoke from the explosion wasn't rising far from them.
"Let's go check it out, Yuya!" Yuto said, wondering who made the explosion. "Right!" Yuya ran as fast as he could toward where the plume of smoke rose.
Ruins of Heartland Dome - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Shay was lying on his back with dust and bruises due to Kite's Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon destroying his Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon and depleting his life points. Now he sat up and looked at Kite, who was readying his Duel Disk to card him.
"Kite, stop it!" Allen shouted, which was followed by Gong's call of worry. "Shay!" "Hey, are you seriously going to do it?!" Sylvio looked at Kite questioningly.
Kite was ready to do it, his finger nearing the button. He only stopped when a familiar girl came in between him and Shay.
"Lulu?!" Kite uttered as he stared at the girl in confusion.
"Sorry, I'm not Lulu." The indigo-haired girl answered.
"What?"
Celina stared down Kite, looking straight in the eye without budging from her ground. Watching the duel, she could feel Kite's overwhelming rage and pain. "That hatred of Kite's isn't good for him, his friends, or the Resistance. It's so strong he was willing to card his own friends." Clutching her Duel Disk she was hiding, Celina came to a conclusion. "I don't think this is the smartest move, but it's the only thing I can do to help."
Celina took out her Duel Disk and slapped it on. The sight of the Duel Disk shocked Allen, Saya, and Kite as they widened their eyes on it. Shay, Sylvio, and Gong grew worried as they had a feeling on what Celina was planning.
Allen broke the silence. "Hey, that Duel Disk is..."
"My name is Celina. And I'm from the Fusion Dimension."
Celina's reveal shocked Kite, Allen, and Saya. But Kite didn't keep his shock for long, as his face quickly turned into one full of anger. He clenched his fists as he looked at Celina.
"Kite, wait! She's not a part of Duel Academy!" Shay tried to force himself to stand, trying to defend Celina, but the girl interrupted him.
"Maybe not anymore. But even though I didn't participate in this destruction, I was still one of them." Celina activated her Duel Disk and assumed her battle stance. She then gave Kite a smug smile, purposely provoking him. "How about you redirect that anger towards me instead of your friend?"
"Celina, what are you doing?!" Sylvio was about to intrude as well, but Celina's glare made him freeze up on the spot.
"Shut up and watch." Celina demanded to everyone present. Kite then activated his Duel Disk as well. "Anyone who uses fusion summoning is my enemy, no matter who they are!"

"First turn's mine! I draw! And to start, I'm playing Polymerization!"
"Polymerization... so she is from Duel Academy!" Allen said bitterly as he frowned. "WAS from Duel Academy." Sylvio corrected. Gong agreed and added, "Celina may have been a part of them, but now she wants to stop them as much as we do!" "Besides, the Professor is after her too, so nothing's wrong." Sylvio was smacked in the head by Gong. "That's not the point!"
"I fuse Lunalight Blue Cat(ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200/LV: 4) and Lunalight Purple Butterfly(ATK: 1000/DEF: 1000/LV: 3)! By combining the reflexes of a fierce feline, with the fluttering fury of a nighttime huntress, I can create a new lunar legend! I Fusion Summon! Lunalight Cat Dancer(ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000/LV: 7)!"
"I'll place one card facedown and end my turn. Now, come get me!" Celina dared Kite.
"It will be my pleasure! Since you have a fusion monster, I'm allowed to automatically summon my Cipher Twin Raptor(ATK: 1600/DEF: 800/LV: 4) from my hand. Next, I summon Cipher Wing(ATK: 1400/DEF: 1200/LV: 4). And by tributing my Cipher Wing, I can double my Raptor's level. Whenever I'm xyz summoning, Cipher Twin Raptor counts as two monsters. So now, I can build the Overlay Network!" Cipher Twin Raptor split into two before becoming yellow energy as it entered the Overlay Network.
"Now, by way of the cosmic energies that make up our galaxies, I'll make something just as mighty! I XYZ Summon! Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500/RK: 8/OU: 1)!"
"And now my Galaxy-Eyes will unleash its special ability! By using one overlay unit, I gain complete control of your Cat Dancer. And once I transform it into another Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, I will end you!" Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon unleashed its glow from its wings at Cat Dancer.
"Sorry, but Lunalight Force is putting that on brakes! Not only is my Cat Dancer safe from your special ability, but I also get to summon a Lunalight monster from my deck in Attack Mode! So say hello to my Lunalight Leopard(ATK: 2000/DEF: 1300/LV: 5)!" A tall, leopard-like Lunalight monster appeared on the field.
"And thanks to her special ability, you aren't allowed to attack anything but my Leopard!"
"Then I'll just lay waste to your feline, with Cipher Steam of Destruction!" Galaxy-Eyes blasted a bright beam of light at Lunalight Leopard, vaporizing it.
CELINA LP: 4000 = 3000
"When Lunalight Leopard is destroyed, I can activate a spell or trap from my hand, and I choose Lunalight Perfume! With it, I can bring back Lunalight Purple Butterfly!"
"Nice! Celina just pulled out a fast one on Kite and was able to summon a new monster." Sylvio cheered on the girl.
"You just got lucky, that's all." Kite set two cards facedown and ended his turn. Kite then shifted his focus toward Shay, who stood behind Celina. "You let a warrior from Fusion become your ally, just because she looks like Lulu?!" Kite spat bitterly.
"That's not it!" Shay defended against his friend's accusation. "I haven't forgiven Duel Academy, but Celina wants to stop it as much as we do!" "So?! That makes her innocent? You've become more pathetic than I thought!" Kite angrily retorted. "Celina didn't participate in any of this and didn't even know about it before I told her!"
"Shay's right! It wasn't until Shay told her the truth about Duel Academy that Celina knew what they were doin'!" Gong supported Shay's defense of Celina.
Celina carefully pulled Shay behind her, as he had stepped in front of her during his sentence of her. Giving a small smile as thanks for his attempt to defend her, Celina continued the duel.
"It's my turn! Hah! I'm gonna summon, Lunalight White Rabbit(ATK: 800/DEF: 800/LV: 2)! And with it, I can return one of your facedowns to your hand!" White Rabbit slammed her hammer on the ground and one of Kite's facedowns was removed from the field.
"Next, by tributing my Purple Butterfly, I can increase my Cat Dancer's attack by 1000 until the end of the turn!" Lunalight Cat Dancer(ATK: 2400 = 3400/DEF: 2000/LV: 7)
"Now for my Cat Dancer's special ability! I hope you're prepared Kite, 'cause by tributing my Rabbit, Lunalight Cat Dancer can attack Galaxy-Eyes twice! Attack, Full Moon Mayhem!" Lunalight Cat Dancer shot a beam at Galaxy-Eyes. "Your Galaxy-Eyes is goin' down!"
"I don't think so! My trap Cipher Bit will protect my Galaxy-Eyes and supply it with an overlay unit." After Cipher Bit kept Galaxy-Eyes from being destroyed by the blast, it turned into an overlay unit for Galaxy-Eyes.

"Guess I've done enough." Celina said as she set a card. "And now that my turn is over, my Cat Dancer's attack points return to normal." Lunalight Cat Dancer(ATK: 3400 = 2400/DEF: 2000/LV: 7)
Putting her Duel Disk down for a moment, Celina then spoke to Kite. "You're not thinking clearly Kite! Defeating Duel Academy is one thing, but to card one of your own friends?! That won't solve anything!"
"I've already said it before, Galaxy-Eyes and I have no respect for cowards, and they'll get no mercy from us!" Kite replied.
"That's just your anger speaking for you! You're so blinded to get revenge that you forgot about the survivors of this city! You just nearly endangered them by trying to turn Shay into a card, don't you realize that?!"
"Shut up! You don't know anything we've gone through!" Kite's retort was in a higher voice, showing a possible loss in composure.
"It's my turn! And now, my Galaxy-Eyes will activate its ability! Go, Cipher Subjection! Your monster is mine!" Cat Dancer was taken from Celina's field and turned into another Galaxy-Eyes. Lunalight Cat Dancer(ATK: 2400 = 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 7)
"Next, I'm activating Cipher Interference! Go! And now I'll end you! Because thanks to my Cipher Dragon's new twin, it's attack points are doubled! Which is more than enough to wipe out all your life points. Lay waste Galaxy-Eyes!" Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 3000 = 6000/DEF: 2500/RK: 8/OU: 1)
Celina jumped to the right side as the attack was commenced, and picked up an Action Card. "Don't count on it! Damage Banish reduces my damage to zero, so I'm safe!" The beam just barely missed Celina.
Kite just clicked his tongue. "Since I can't attack with my new Galaxy-Eyes, I'll have to end my turn. You're up." Kite set two facedowns. With Kite's turn over, Celina's Lunalight Cat Dancer was returned to her. Lunalight Cat Dancer(ATK: 3000 = 2400/DEF: 2000/LV: 7) Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 6000 = 3000/DEF: 2500/RK: 8/OU: 1)
Looking at her cards and Kite, Celina then said, "I may not know how it felt with what you guys had to go through. But I do know what it's like to make a mistake that will continue to haunt you!"
Celina then flashed back to Dipper O'rion's terrified face when she turned him into a card.
"My move! I'm activating De-Fusion, so I can get back my Lunalight Blue Cat and Purple Butterfly!" Cat Dancer split back into the monsters that were used to summon her as she was sent back to the Extra Deck.
"Wait, why would she get rid of her own monster?" Allen asked.
"Next, I summon my little birdie, Lunalight Kaleido Chick(ATK: 1400/DEF: 800/LV: 4)! By sending my Lunalight Panther Dancer to the Graveyard, I can treat my Chick as her!" Kaleido Chick then transformed into Panther Dancer.
"And now I'll fuse them together with Polymerization! By combining the reflexes of a fierce feline, with the fluttering fury of a nighttime huntress, and the precision of a panther, I can create a new lunar legend! I Fusion Summon! The majestic, the mighty, the masterful Lunalight Leo Dancer(ATK: 3500/DEF: 3000/LV: 10)!"
"That monster's stronger than Kite's Galaxy-Eyes!" Allen exclaimed in shock, which was shared by Saya.
"No matter the reason, you've become no better than Duel Academy. Turning people into cards won't bring back those we lost. And what would your family think of you now?!" Celina emphasized the point she was getting across.
Kite flinched at that. But he quickly pushed that feeling away. "Shut up! You've got no right to talk about them!" Saya just whispered in concern, "Oh, Kite..."
"I understand if the Resistance won't accept me as a friend. I'm not going to ask for forgiveness for my people's actions. But I'm going to fight for the right thing! And that's stopping Duel Academy in its tracks and protecting my newfound friends!" Celina made her commitment clear.
"Leo Dancer, take down Galaxy-Eyes!" Celina commenced her Battle Phase and Leo Dancer charged at Cipher Dragon with her blade raised.
"That's useless." Kite's words to Celina confused her. "Go Double Cipher! By using my overlay unit, I can bypass all summoning conditions and summon another Galaxy-Eyes from my Extra Deck! And thanks to Cipher Interference, the dragon that your Leo Dancer is attacking will have its attack points doubled!" Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 3000 = 6000/DEF: 2500/RK: 8/OU: 1 = 0)
"Man, Kite's pulling a double whammy on Celina!" Gong commented. Sylvio worryingly added, "Now Celina is the one who will lose life points!"
As soon as Leo Dancer slashed the dragon, it was blocked and Galaxy-Eyes blasted Leo Dancer. The shockwave from the explosion almost blew Celina away as she received the damage.
CELINA LP: 3000 = 500
"Don't think that you'll have the luxury of another turn, because my spell Cipher Continuum will make sure you won't! And now, you'll take damage equal to half of my dragon's attack points!"
"Celina doesn't have enough life points to survive!" Sylvio exclaimed in worry. "Feel my wrath! Cipher Stream of Destruction!" Kite declared as Cipher Dragon shot a direct blast at Celina, who could only stand and watch as the attack came towards her.
"Celina!" Yuya yelled as he rushed in and activated his own Duel Disk without thinking.

An explosion occurred from the attack, covering the area where Celina stood in smoke. When it cleared, they all saw Shay lying on top of Celina. Obviously, he must've pushed her down before she could get seriously hurt.
"You alright?" Shay asked Celina, who nodded in assurance. Turning to Yuya, who stepped in front of them, Celina asked, "Yuya?"
"It's my turn to duel some sense into Kite!" "You again. If you're going to do the same thing as they did, then I'll force you into submission too!" Kite warned Yuya, who continued to stand his ground.
"Sorry, but that's not happening!" Yuya claimed as he drew a card.
"I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 1 Stargazer Magician(ATK: 1200/DEF: 2400/LV: 5/PS: 1) and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician(ATK: 1200/DEF: 600/LV: 3/PS: 8)! I'm taking control of this duel, starting now! I'm allowed to summon monsters between levels 2 and 7, all at the same time."
"At the same time?!" Allen widened his eyes in disbelief.
"Swing far, pendulum. Carve the arc of victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action! Drum it up, Performapal Drummerilla(ATK: 1600/DEF: 900/LV: 5/PS: 2)! Put your magic eye to the skies, Dharma-Eye Magician(ATK: 2000/DEF: 2500/ LV: 7/PS: 2)! Turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/PS: 4)!"
"He summoned multiple monsters at once?!" Saya was amazed at what Yuya pulled off. "This is the pendulum summoning, it's a summoning technique that Yuya discovered." Gong explained. Allen was astounded. "He discovered this himself?!"
"Now here's a monster who will really help me get tuned up! Tuning Magician(ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 1)! When I summon Tuning Magician, I lose 400 life points while you gain 400 life points."
YUYA LP: 2000 = 1600
KITE LP: 3200 = 3600
"Tuning Magician tunes my Dharma-Eye Magician so we can take this duel to a whole new level! I Synchro Summon! Welcome to the battlefield, Enlightenment Paladin(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)!"
"Before, he used pendulum and xyz, now a synchro summon? Just how many summoning methods is this guy able to use?" Kite thought to himself, eyeing Yuya.
"Okay! Time to swing into action! Enlightenment Paladin, attack Kite's Galaxy-Eyes!" Yuya ordered his Enlightenment Paladin to attack the Galaxy-Eyes that had its attack points risen to 6000 thanks to Cipher Interference.
"But Enlightenment Paladin doesn't have enough attack points to destroy Galaxy-Eyes!" Allen commented.
"Drummerilla is gonna drum up 600 extra attack points to help out." Yuya announced as he dashed for an Action Card among the floating boards. Enlightenment Paladin(ATK: 2500 = 3100/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
Picking one up he activated it. "And thanks to the Action Spell Double Attack, Enlightenment Paladin is more powerful than Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon!" Enlightenment Paladin(ATK: 3100 = 6200/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
Enlightenment Paladin slashed through the first Galaxy-Eyes, destroying it.
KITE LP: 3600 = 3400
"And now Enlightenment Paladin's special ability activates! When it destroys a monster, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's attack points!"
"The Galaxy-Eyes Yuya destroyed had 6000 attack points! Yuya's totally got this in the bag!" Sylvio smiled as he thought it would be Yuya's victory.
"If it wasn't for my facedown, Cipher Mirage! Since you destroyed my Galaxy-Eyes, the damage you'll inflict through card effects zeros out." As Enlightment Paladin shot a blast of green energy in the shape of Kite's Galaxy Eyes, the energy dissipated when it reached Kite.
"But I have destroyed one of your Galaxy-Eyes, and now my Odd-Eyes can pick up the job! Go, Spiral Flame Strike!" Yuya then jumped around the Action Field, searching for another Action Card.
Just before the attack connected, Yuya found an Action Card and activated it. "I play the Action Spell, Extreme Sword! Now my dragon's 1000 points stronger!" Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 2500 = 3500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/PS: 4)
"But it won't be enough to take out my Cipher Dragon, 'cause I'm activating Rank-Up-Magic Cipher Shock to negate its destruction and negate all your monsters' special abilities." Kite's last Cipher dragon survived and Kite only lost life points.
KITE LP: 3400 = 2900
"And after the battle's over, I can overlay my dragon and xyz summon a Cipher monster that's one rank higher!" Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon entered the Overlay Network as Kite began his chant.
"Say farewell to Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, and hello to a Monster of even greater galactic power! Go, Rank-Up XYZ Evolution! Now bare witness, as the same fantastic powers that forge the universe forge this most mighty creature! Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 4500/DEF: 3000/RK: 9/OU: 1)!"
"He's still got an even stronger dragon?!" Gong was at a loss for words. Yuya was unnerved by the dragon, as he could feel the power. "The power of Kite's rage is even stronger in this dragon."
"Guess I'll place two cards facedown and end my turn..." Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 3500 = 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/PS: 4) Enlightenment Paladin(ATK: 6100 = 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
"And now I'll end you!" Kite declared as his turn began. "I use all of Neo Galaxy-Eyes' overlay units to activate its special ability! Cipher Super Subjection! This time I steal... all your monsters! And transform them into Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragons!" "That's not good! Now Yuya doesn't have any monsters to protect him!" Celina was looking at Yuya's back worryingly. "And with Cipher Interference..."
"My Neo Galaxy-Eyes' attack points are doubled." Kite finished her thought. Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 4500 = 9000/DEF: 3000/RK: 9/OU: 0)
"Go, Neo Galaxy-Eyes! Attack Yuya directly! Cipher Stream of Devastation!"
Yuya looked around for an Action Card, and saw one to his left on the ground. Yuya then quickly ran and jumped to it as the stream closed in on him. Reaching for it, he was caught up in a dust cloud created by the stream's explosion.
Looking worryingly at the smoke, the Lancers worried for Yuya. As the smoke cleared, they didn't see anything but a crater. "NO! Yuya!" Gong yelled.
"Phew! That was close!" Yuya appeared standing from one of the floating boards. "Nice one!" Shay smiled. Everyone was shocked and gasped. "Thanks, but I can't take all the credit for dodging that blast." Yuya then revealed the Action Card he retrieved before the blast connected. "Most of it goes to the Action Card Big Escape."
"Amazing." Allen and Saya both commented. Sylvio smiled. "Yep. That's exactly what I would've done, but with more style and grace."

"Kite... why are you so insistent on pushing Shay, Allen, and Saya away when all they want to do is help you? They're your best friends, aren't they?" Yuya asked the xyz duelist as he hopped down back to the ground.
Kite sighed in exasperation. "When you lose those you cherish, you're only left with immense sorrow. Things like that are a weakness!" Motioning to Galaxy-Eyes, Kite continued. "Galaxy-Eyes is just like me. I stand alone, no matter what!"
Yuya's face saddened upon hearing Kite's answer. He looked down, face shadowed.
"So our time in school... means nothing to you anymore?"
Everyone felt that the atmosphere had suddenly changed.
"Whenever you and Shay dueled each other, huge crowds of students would gather around to cheer you on." Yuya looked up, but his eyes had changed from red to grey. "All the other kids at school looked to you guys as heroes."
Saya gasped, while Allen questioned, "How... how could you know what it was like?"
Yuya placed his right hand over his chest and replied, "I know because Yuto's spirit is a part of me."
"Part of you?" Saya and Gong were confused. "Wait, say that again?" "Well, that sounds nice and creepy." Sylvio commented. Shay just smiled as he saw Yuto smiling at him. "I knew you were still around, I just knew it." Yuto nodded in confirmation.
Mindscape
"Yuya..." Yuto brought Yuya into their shared mindscape. Facing him with determined eyes, Yuto said, "I want to help Kite too. Shay and the others have tried already, so now it's my turn. As one of Kite's friends..."
Yuya just smiled and nodded at Yuto. Extending his hand to him, Yuya then told him, "Then let's do it."
Ruins of Heartland Dome - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
The moment Yuto took Yuya's hand, Yuya's body lit up, blinding everyone.
"Hey guys. It's been a while."
The familiar voice caused the Resistance's eyes to widen. When the light died down, Yuya wasn't in the place where he standing previously. Instead, there was a boy with black and light purple hair that was swept up to the right and wearing a very familiar black punk-style outfit that the Resistance recognized. He also wore Yuya's red Standard Dimension Duel Disk.
"Yuto?!" Allen and Saya said in surprised unison. "What... what just happened?! Either I'm seeing things or Yuya just changed into someone else!" Sylvio commented as he rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. Meanwhile, Gong was looking around frantically. "Wait. If that's Yuto, then where's Yuya?"
Kite, Shay, and Celina were speechless. They were unable to describe what had just happened. They weren't expecting that Yuya really meant that Yuto was inside him. But it was actually the truth. Kite and Shay knew only one person with those clothes, dual-colored hair, and grey eyes.
"Yuto... you're really here?" Kite muttered slowly. Then he remembered how he felt Yuto's presence and saw him superimposed with Yuya.
"Kite. I didn't cross dimensions just to lose my closest friends. If I have to duel you to bring you back, so be it!" Yuto declared as he drew a card.
"Since Yuya set the Pendulum Scale, that means I can pendulum summon too! Appear! Performapal Longphone Bull(ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200/LV: 4)!"
"Thanks to its special ability, I can ring up another monster in my deck to my hand as long as it has 1000 or fewer attack points." Yuto added a monster to his hand as Longphone Bull's horns rang like a telephone. "I choose Performapal Secondonkey(ATK: 1000/DEF: 2000/LV: 4), and I'm not gonna waste any time in summoning it!"
"I overlay Performapal Longphone Bull and Secondonkey to build the Overlay Network! Cloaked in shadows and relentless in its objective, I call upon the most dangerous of dragons! I XYZ Summon! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2), let's bring this duel to the next level!"
Yuto began to reminisced his past again. "Kite, there's no way you could forget all those times Shay and I dueled you. We always had trouble dueling you, the one who everyone expected to become champion. Even so, we never stopped challenging you. And because of those duels, we have become even stronger than ever! And I'm going to help you remember that!"
"I activate the trap Phantom Void! With it, your Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon's ranks are treated as levels until the end of the turn! Which will allow me to use my Dark Rebellion's special ability on it! By using an overlay unit, your Neo Galaxy-Eyes' attack points are cut in half, and then Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon gains those attack points! Treason Discharge!" Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon(ATK: 2500 = 4750/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2 = 1) Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 4500 = 2250/DEF: 3000/RK: 9/OU: 0)
"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, attack Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, with Mauling Mandible Charge!" Dark Rebellion flew towards Neo Galaxy-Eyes.
"And thanks to Performapal Drummerilla, my Dark Rebellion gains an extra 600 points!" Drummerilla beat its chest and made Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's grow. Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon(ATK: 4750 = 5350/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 1)
"Your attack won't work, Yuto! Because I activate Cipher Galaxy Rings, and that means your attack can't destroy my Neo Galaxy-Eyes and I'll take only half the damage!" Dark Rebellion thrust its mandible into Neo Galaxy-Eyes, who simply blocked it with its hand. Yuto's ace returned to his master's side after its failure.

"I'm not through yet! Phantom Void allows me to destroy Cipher Interference since I couldn't destroy your dragon!" Yuto destroyed the Continuous Spell card.
"Now Kite can't double his monsters' attack anymore!" Celina was relieved.
Allen was certain after seeing the moves Yuto made. "There's no doubt about it, that's Yuto alright!"
"But why is he in Yuya's body?" Gong's question was shared by everyone, who couldn't help but wonder how this came to be.
"I guess I'll have to have Yuya explain that later, but for now I end my turn." Yuto assured them. Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon(ATK: 5350 = 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 1)
"Then it's my turn!" Looking at the card he drew, Kite looked at the monsters Yuto had on his field. "I'm activating the spell Galaxy Cipher Sphere! By banishing my level 4 Cipher Twin Raptor and Cipher Wing from my Graveyard, I can summon back Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon from my Graveyard, but it loses its special abilities." The moment Galaxy-Eyes was summoned from the Graveyard, it roared with its evolved form.
"Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, give that Performapal Drummerilla a beat down! Cipher Stream of Destruction!" Drummerilla started to panic as the blast headed right for it.
Yuto jumped among the floating boards and found an Action Card. "I play Quick Guard! Drummerilla is switched to Defense Mode, so I won't take any damage!" Even though Drummerilla was destroyed, Yuto didn't receive any damage.
Kite replied sharply, "You're just like Shay. Relaying on cheap gimmicks to survive. You're pathetic joke." "And I'll say this, I've become stronger because of my new friends! Yuya has become a friend I can trust, so I will trust in these weapons the Lancers use!"
"You won't shut up will you? I've had enough of you and Shay preaching to me. Neo Galaxy-Eyes, destroy Enlightenment Paladin!"
Yuto tried to find another Action Card, but seeing he wouldn't find one in time, "I play Pendulum Coin Swap! By destroying my pendulum monsters, I don't take any damage from your attack!" Timegazer and Stargazer were destroyed along with Enlightenment Paladin, but Yuto didn't take any damage.
Kite bit his lip seeing Yuto's struggle, obviously losing his patience. "You keep on talking about working together and standing together, but look at the result. Even though we stood together, we are nearly wiped out. Most of our friends have been turned into cards and even more have fallen into despair and lost their will to fight."
Yuto closed his eyes and sighed, as he remembered those he lost in this war and how everyone felt upon losing them. "...That may be true, Kite..." Yuto then looked at Kite sympathetically. "But... can't we be there for you when things are at their worst, like now?"
Kite flinched at the question. Yuto's words were etched deep within Shay, Allen, and Saya's hearts, as the three of them stared hard at Yuto. "Yuto..." Tears fell from Saya's eyes.
"They fell into despair because they forgot that they had people to lean on when things got bad. They forgot the feelings of those lost... and those that are still with us. Kite, you should've realized your not the only one that's suffering. We all are suffering. But pushing us away and carding those we hate isn't going to get rid of the pain."
Yuto held back a tear as he remembered the happier times. The ones he spent with Lulu and all his friends. "I swore that I'd return the smiles to our people, get Lulu back, and defeat Duel Academy. And that's why I'm going to keep fighting and carry the feelings of our people!"
Strengthening his heart, Yuto began his turn. "I'm activating The Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Launch! I use this and Dark Rebellion, to xyz summon a monster that's one rank higher!" Black mist covered Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon as its body became crystallized in a black shell. "Dragon from the bleak, black pit! Fierce, fearless, ferocious fighter! Rise and master the skies! Go, Rank-Up XYZ Evolution! Arise, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500/RK: 5/OU: 2)!" The shell shattered as the evolved version of Dark Rebellion was summoned.
"That dragon is on par with Galaxy-Eyes!" Shay exclaimed.
"I already lost Lulu, and countless others to Duel Academy. So I don't want to lose you too! The memories we all made are irreplaceable!"
"Thanks to Phantom Void, your xyz monsters' ranks are treated like levels, so that means my Dark Requiem can use its special ability on them!" Yuto then raised his hand to his new dragon and clenched his fist as the two overlay units were used. "By using both its overlay units, Dark Requiem drains your Cipher Dragons of their attack points, and then gains those attack points. Requiem Retribution!" The orbs on the wings of Dark Requiem glowed and turned into black holes and blasted out streams of darkness that struck Kite's dragons, binding them, and drained their attack points. Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon(ATK: 3000 = 10500/DEF: 2500/RK: 5/OU: 2) Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 3000 = 0/DEF: 2500/RK: 8/OU: 0) Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon(ATK: 4500 = 0/DEF: 3000/RK: 9/OU: 0)
"That's... 10500 attack points?!" Celina was amazed and shocked.
Raising his right arm to Dark Requiem, Yuto's new dragon roared as it flew high. Once it got high enough, it spread its wings, and stained glass membranes materialized between the wing fingers. Its stain glass wings shone in the light, as if it offered a repose.
"Do it Dark Requiem! Dark Destruction!" The second Yuto declared his attack, Dark Requiem flew down at high-speed, its mandible glowing like Dark Rebellion's. Kite had nothing to save him. The cards in his hand and his face-up cards couldn't stop the damage as Neo Galaxy-Eyes was pierced by Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon. He just stood in silence as his dragon was destroyed.

Kite fell on his back as the Action Field dispersed. He didn't suffer any bad injuries, but his body felt heavy. Yuya, who had regained control of his body, offered his hand to Kite as the xyz duelist sat up. Ignoring the gesture, Yuya then knelt down to speak with the seemingly dejected duelist.
"Kite... losing those who you have a strong bond with is hard, but you're not the only one suffering. You have those who care so much for you. Isn't this the reason for forming those bonds in the first place?"
Everyone, Shay, Allen, and Saya in particular, got closer to Kite and looked at him. They were all waiting for Kite to say something, while hoping he had opened his heart again. But Kite just looked away from them and sat there silently, as if he was deep in thought.
Kite then stood up, ignoring Yuya's offer to help him up. "I'm out of here." Turning his back to them, Kite walked away. "And don't bother looking for me." No one said anything, since they all knew Kite needed more time to think. And get his feelings sorted out.
