With a whoosh and stomp, the group gasped as they disappeared from the bottom of the ditch. They soon reappeared in a winter day, at a frozen lake.

"Whoa..."

"What is this place, Dad?" Crusher asked.

"My old home," Jokul smiled.

They soon heard children playing, and they turned to see two trucks coming out to play; one brown with chocolate brown eyes and the other yellow with golden brown eyes.

"Who that, Mr. Jokul?" asked Zeg.

"That… is me," Jokul chuckled. "Before I was a spirit. And the other is my sister, Jewel,"

"You look so happy!" Stripes said.

"We were." Jokul sighed. "Until… SHE showed up."

"She...?"

["Ooh, look, brother!" The yellow truck, Jewel, pointed to something glistening gold from the horizon. "Let's go see what that is!"]["Okay!"]The two drove off towards the golden glistening. The group followed after them towards the hill and found the Snow Queen standing on top, a golden apple in her tire.["Wow... she's pretty..."]The children approached her, and she smirked.["Hello, young ones," she greeted. "What brings you to me?"]["We saw a glittery golden glow in the distance, and we wanted to see who it is," said Jewel. "Who are you?"]["I am the Snow Queen," she spoke then she held out the apple. "Is THIS what you spotted?"]["Yes, your majesty," said young Jokul. "We've never seen a golden apple like that before."]["Then why don't you two take a step closer?" she smirked, the apple giving a glow, which caught the two siblings in a trance.]"What's going on?" Starla asked. The Snow Queen smirked before letting out a wicked laugh as she stomped her tire, causing her and the two children to disappear.

"Dad... what did she do to you...?" Crusher asked.

"She... She kidnapped me and Jewel," Jokul sighed. "She kept us in her palace as servants for many years..."

"Oh Dad... I'm so sorry..." Crusher frowned.

"When we finally managed to escape..." Jokul hissed and raised his staff.

They disappeared out of that timeline and reappeared in a new one. Young Jokul and Jewel, who were then in their early twenties, were making their way out of the palace, being chased by the Snow Queen's guards.

["Faster, Jewel! FASTER!!"]They dashed through the forest and headed towards a bridge. From afar, the Snow Queen watched with a growl. She blasted the bridge, causing it to crack and break. Young Jokul gasped before pushing his sister out of the way. Jewel screamed as her brother fell into the icy cold water.["JOKUL!!"]["Oh, such a shame," the Snow Queen chuckled as she appeared beside the girl. "Oh well. These are the consequences to escaping me."]["Please, just let me go!! I swear, I won't tell anyone anything!!"]["Hmm... tempting," the Snow Queen sneered. "but no."]She blasted the girl, who screamed as she was hit straight on her heart. Almost immediately, she turned into solid ice.The group gasped as they witnessed this, horrified.

"Oh, Jokul... we are so sorry..." Blaze said softly.

Jokul sighed. "It is alright. It is because of this that I became a spirit,"

"How?"

"Just watch."

The group turned back to see the Snow Queen use her powers to drain Jewel of her life force before turning to the water below her. She used ice to lift Young Jokul up from the river before setting him down. She then blasted him, causing his skin to turn ocean blue, and when he gasped and opened his eyes, they were of icy blue instead of brown.["W-What...?" Young Jokul glanced around in surprise before gasping to see his sister frozen in front of him. "JEWEL!!!"]["Hi hi, I see you've seen my latest statue," the Snow Queen grinned.]["P-Please, turn her back!! I'll do almost anything!"]["Hmm... anything?" the Snow Queen smirked. "I MIGHT turn her back... IF you serve me for as long as you live, my new Winter Spirit."]["Y-Y-Yes... my queen..." Young Jokul sobbed as he bowed.]

Jokul growled and shook his head. "She tricked me into working for her... but she was never going to turn her back."

"That sounds horrible..." Pickle sighed.

"But at least now we know how you became a spirit," Watts concluded. "but how a wizard?"

"That is simple," Jokul smiled. "It was Pitchiner who helped me with that,"

"That heartless piece of coal?" AJ asked. "How?"

Jokul raised his staff, and they disappeared once more. They reappeared at a forest, somewhere far from the Snow Queen's kingdom.

Young Jokul was flying around, creating winter while a dark shadow seemed to observe him from afar. The shadow soon formed into the shape of Pitchiner as young Jokul flew towards him. The Nightmare King's presence caused the spirit to jump in surprise.["Wah!! Who... who are you?"]["Greetings, young spirit," Pitchiner smirked. "I am Pitchiner, the Nightmare King. And you are?"]["I'm Jokul... the winter spirit of the Snow Queen."]["Oh, I see..." Pitchiner moved around the spirt. "You were mortal... weren't you?"]["Yeah... she... she froze my sister... and she said she would unfreeze her if I became her winter spirit... but she never did..."][Pichiner laughed mockingly. "Did you ACTUALLY believe her?! BWUHAHAHAHA! She is THE Snow Queen, you idiotic spirit. Her heart is as cold as her powers."]["I know... but... what am I supposed to do now?"]Pitchiner seemed to give it a thought before smirking. He went to his side and grabbed him by the tire.["I know exactly what you should do." he told him. "but you have to trust ME and do EVERYTHING I say."]["Well... okay..."]Young Jokul nodded and followed the other spirit through the woods. The group followed after them and found themselves heading underground, down through a tunnel. They soon made it to a dark lair.["W-What is this place?"]["My humble home," Pitchiner smirked. "Now, to get back at the Snow Queen for what she did, you must deem yourself more powerful than she could ever be! Then SHE would be begging for mercy."]["Well... she may have did awful things to me, but I would never wish awful things on her. That's not how my mother raised me." Young Jokul shook his head.]["Of course..." Pitchiner growled before grinning. "but do you at least want to have as much power as she does? It would let her respect you."]["I... I guess..."]["EXCELLENT!" Pitchiner grinned and grabbed some wood before tossing it to him. "First things first; make your staff."]["Okay..." Young Jokul nodded. "But how?"]["How else? Use your own magic, of course!"]["I... I guess I can try..."]Young Jokul concentrated on his magic into the wood. Little by little, the wood formed into a staff, his icy blue magic glowing as it shaped the staff.["Whoa... it worked!"]["Excellent! As for the rest..." Pitchiner grabbed a book of spells and tossed it to the spirit. "It's going to be easy, IF you're going to focus and train hard to be a spirit wizard,"]["Of course."]

The others blinked in shock as they watched the same being that tried to kill them teach the young spirit.

"So... you really thought he was your friend?" Watts asked.

"Well, he was," Jokul sighed, raising his staff.
