Scene 1: Tardiness
Blaze watched from the kitchen as Darington came through the door of their apartment, tiptoeing with his tires as if he was sneaking inside. The red truck sighed and drove over to him.
"Darington."
"Gah!" Darington jumped and gulped. "O-Oh! Hey, B! What's up?"
"Where have you been?" Blaze asked. "You've been out all lunch, and the food got cold,"
"O-Oh! I had something to handle back at the skatepark!" Darington let out a nervous laugh. "Yeah! That's it! Um… one of the ramps broke, and I had to fix it,"
"But… Darry, why didn't you tell me?" Blaze asked, crossing his tires. "I could've helped,"
"Nah, I got it all handled, promise," Darington assured him.
Blaze sighed and nodded as he watched his boyfriend head to the kitchen for something to eat.
Everything was fine.
Right?

Scene 2: Phone Calls
KRIIING! KRIIING!
Blaze stared over at his lover's phone to find someone calling it. He was about to head over to see when Darington snatched it quickly.
"I-It's from an old friend!" he spoke with a grin before heading to their room to answer.
Blaze looked confused. If it was from an old friend, why was he so eager to answer?
Even if it opposed to his morals, he followed after his boyfriend and leaned against the wall of their room to listen. He heard murmurs from his lover from inside.
"... miss… park… 2am…"
A familiar voice came from the other line, also with some murmurs. Blaze leaned closer to the wall to get a good hearing.
"... love… quiet… tonight…"
Blaze's eyes widened as he backed up. Tonight? What was happening tonight?
The doorknob creaked open, causing Blaze to gulp and dash back to the couch. He picked up the book he was reading earlier and pretended to keep on reading as Darington came out of the room.
"Hey, B, I, uh, gotta meet up with my old friend tonight!" he told him.
"Uh, okay," Blaze nodded. "Should I wait for you to get back…?"
"NO!" Darington immediately shook his head. "No, no! I, um, I'll be out ALL night with my friend since, uh, we haven't seen each other for years, so… yeah, we've got a lot to catch up on. Don't worry, though! I'll be back before sunrise! Promise!"
"But-"
KRIIING! KRIIING!
Darington picked up the call and smiled as he answered it, walking out of the door without another word. Blaze looked worried but sighed.
He could trust him.
It was only a friend, right?

Scene 3: Excuses
"Uh, Darry, what is this…?"
Blaze held out a green and yellow blanket from the laundry basket. Darington stiffened.
"Uh, um, it's a… a blanket!" he grinned, sweat dropping from his forehead. "I mean, yeah! A… A blanket! What else could it be, B…?"
"But… this isn't mine, and this isn't yours either," Blaze pointed out.
"Er, my old friend dropped it when he needed to leave, so I washed it!" Darington told him.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Blaze asked.
"B, sheesh, I don't have to tell you EVERYTHING, you know," Darington rolled his eyes. "I have my own life too,"
"Well, I'M the one washing the clothes," Blaze spoke. "A little 'heads up' would have been nice,"
"Well, fine, next time, I'LL wash it myself," Darington huffed and grabbed the blanket.
"Okay… sorry," Blaze sighed as he watched the other take his leave. "Where are you going now? What about lunch?"
"I, uh, I'm gonna take Stunt Kitty out for a walk," Darington shrugged before dashing off.
"What?" Blaze looked confused. "But… she's sleeping..."
He followed after him towards the door. He managed to hear the door slam and shut behind the stunt truck. Blaze sighed and turned to head to the couch, where Stunt Kitty woke up with a meow.
"Hey, Stunt Kitty," the red truck petted her.
"Meow?" Stunt Kitty purred against him.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but I don't think Darry is," Blaze sighed. "He's always off, doing something else. I love him, and I respect his space, but… don't you think it's a little fishy to you?"
"Meow," Stunt Kitty nodded and hopped on his hood. "Meow, meow?"
"Who knows where he is now," Blaze chuckled sadly. "But let's not worry about that now. I bet you're hungry. Come on,"
Stunt Kitty nodded and happily rode Blaze towards the kitchen for a bowl of milk.
