As for Blaze, he had been watching the stars of the night sky as tears poured from his eyes, down his cheeks and onto the soft grass below him.

His heart hurt. It hurt because he lashed out at Crusher, even though he knew it wasn't his fault, and...

...be he was scared he would goof up.

Let someone down.

Blaze reached into his trunk and pulled out Snowpaw, the stuffed snow leopard he had given Sparkle for her 5th birthday.

Sparkle was OBSESSED with snow leopards, and still is. She never went anywhere without Snowpaw, and for moral support, she would let Blaze hold onto her during tough times..

At this time, he held it close and began to sob again, unaware Roarian was landing behind him.

"Blaze... are you alright?"

The red truck turned to see Roarian lay down next to him, and he clutched Snowpaw tighter.

"If you're here to convince me to make a choice, I can't..."

"I know," Roarian drove to his side. "I just want to make sure if you were alright,"

"No... I'm not... I feel so useless, Roarian..." Blaze whimpered.

"Blaze... you are not useless," Roarian told him. "What makes you say so?"

"Because, I... I can't make a choice to save Sparkle or Hanna. The truth is... I'm afraid if I choose something, someone is gonna hate me for my choice... and I... I couldn't bare to see either of them suffer, but I can't save both of them. That's what's so hard about it. I just... I couldn't live with that weight on my shoulders..."

Roarian placed a gentle tire on his friend's shoulder when he saw the toy he was holding.

"What's that you're holding so tightly?"

"Snowpaw," Blaze sighed. "Sparkle's toy,"

"I see it has a lot of sentimental value to you as well as your sister."

"It does. I got her this when she was 5 years old, and we've bonded with this a lot. I just wish... I wish I could tell myself that I didn't let her down, but... I know I am..."

Roarian wrapped a gentle wing around the sobbing truck's shoulder, and took a look at Snowpaw and got an idea.

"Blaze, I know something that might help," he spoke.

"Y-You do...?"

Roarian nodded and allowed his sunstone to glow. The magic surrounded them, and Blaze felt himself relax, laying back on the grass.

"Oh, wow... this feels... amazing..."

"A calm mind will help you decide... even if the choice is difficult," Roarian smiled.

Suddenly, there was a rustle from the bushes.

"W-What was that?" Blaze gulped.

Roarian glanced around and found the rustling bush. He drove towards it and pulled apart the bush.

"Crusher,"

"Uh... I thought you might need some help checking on Blaze, so... I went behind you." Crusher said.

"Then why did you not come out?"

"I... I wanted to keep my distance, since... I think Blaze is still mad at me." Crusher sighed.

"I... I'm not mad," Blaze admitted.

"Y-You're not?"

"No... I was just so scared with what was happening with Sparkle, I lashed out. I'm really sorry, and... I could use another friend to help me relax."

Crusher nodded and drove forward. "Blaze, I... I just want to say that I'm... I'm sorry for bringing this decision onto you,"

"It's... it's okay. Roarian has a way to relax me from all this and help me make a decision. Maybe it'll relax you too."

"Well... okay."

The magic spread out to him, and Crusher smiled, closing his eyes as he felt the calming magic soothe his nerves.

"Yeah... this is relaxing," he chuckled.

The magic allowed the two to fall into a relaxing slumber. When they awoke, they found themselves in an astral plane with Roarian.

"Woah..." Crusher gasped. "Isn't this a relaxing spot?"

"Why are we here, Roarian?" Blaze asked.

"You are here because I believe doing what I do best might help you come up with a solution." Roarian explained.

"Okay..." Blaze nodded and looked around. "So how are we suppose to do this?"

"I'll cast a spell to give you both the power to fly, and in the astral plane, my magic is very powerful, so you'll be able to fly as much as you like. If you fall, the astral plane will magically catch you. And if my plan works, one of you should be able to come up with something."

"Okay..."

Crusher gulped as Roarian's sunstone glowed. In an instant, they both started to fly.

"Whoa-- whoa, whoa!" Crusher yelped, trying to maintain balance, but Blaze grabbed his tire to help.

"Woah, careful!" the red truck chuckled. "You okay?"

"Yeah, thanks. Whoa... we're really flying!" Crusher smiled before sighing. "But... I still got no idea what to do..."

"Let's keep flying and have some fun. I'm sure an idea will come eventually."

"Sounds good to me."

They flew up and about. The astral plane seemed to go on forever. Roarian flew after them, and occasionally, Crusher would fall, but thankfully, the plane caught him. But otherwise, they had fun.

Blaze got to thinking a lot about Hanna in his mind. Crusher and Pickle seemed so happy with her, as happy as Blaze was with his sister. What would be the same if Hanna hadn't died?

"Blaze, are you getting something?" Roarian asked.

"Roarian..." Blaze hissed.

"What is it?" Crusher asked.

"I... I was just thinking..." Blaze sighed. "What if... I could go back to the night Hanna died? Like using a time travel spell? Then I could stop whatever killed her and stop all this from happening!"

"What?!" Crusher yelped as he fell from flying and ended up floating thanks to the astral plane. "Blaze... that's a crazy idea,"

"But we have to try. You and Pickle mean as much to me as my own flesh and blood. If I have to, I'll let whatever it was take my OWN life."

"Blaze..." Crusher sighed. "But be warned; it's my family we'd be facing. They're all assassins with demonic powers. They... They're not easy to stop,"

"What demonic powers are you talking about?"

"...of death and magic," Crusher sighed. "My sister Dynama has the most powerful one. She can take and corrupt a soul in a second..."

"Hmm... wait, what's the opposite of death? Life! Roarian, if you and the genie can cast a spell to make me part angel with the magic of life, I should be able to ward of any attacks!"

"Of course," Roarian nodded.

"Is this a good idea?"

The group turned to see a golden truck appear from astral plane, eyes as white as snow as he wore a giant hat with blue jewels on it.

"Who are you?" asked Crusher.

"I am the almighty genie," the truck spoke. "And I fear that this will end in consequences unexplained, Roarian,"

"I have to try, genie," Blaze said after taking a breath. "I could never choose to let someone else live when the other could die. It's not the way I was raised. It's either I go back in time and try to stop that maniac family, or we do nothing, and Sparkle gets worse."

"That is who he is, old friend," Roarian spoke.

The almighty genie sighed. "Fine, but a warning that the risk is great. You will still have your memories, so time will not end up in a deadly loop,"

"And, we need to put Hanna under a sleeping spell, so if anything happens, it won't take a painful effect on her."

Crusher watched as they everything was planned. He sighed and turned away, trying to get some space to think. Blaze saw him and flew over.

"Hey... you okay?"

"I... I don't know..." Crusher sighed. "I... We've found a way to save Hanna but... she's still going to be blind and mute, and I... I don't know how we're going to cure that..."

"I can use one of my other wishes or the life magic I'll be given to cure it," said Blaze.

"..." Crusher turned to him. "Blaze... I... I don't know why you're doing so much for me. I... I thought you hated me,"

"I would never hate you," Blaze spoke. "That's not how my parents raised me. They raised me that no matter what anyone did to me, that I would never hold grudges, or hate anyone. You're one of my closest friends, Crusher, and I'll do whatever it takes to stop all this.

He held out his tire.

"Do you trust me?"

Crusher glanced down at the tire before nodding and reaching out.

"I do. I know you're gonna try for us."

"Thanks, Crusher. That means a lot."

The two smiled at each other for a moment before the group came back together again.

"Are you ready, Blaze?" the genie spoke.

"Yes," Blaze let through a firm nod. "Ready as I'll ever be."

Roarian and the almighty genie closed their eyes before they released their magic. The magic surrounded Blaze, who started to glow gold and orange as his eyes glowed red.

"The magic you need is right with you," the almighty genie spoke. "Once the job is complete, you will transfer to your younger self's body, understood?"

"Understood," Blaze nodded. "Then, I guess I'm ready to make my first wish."

"Good luck," Crusher said, giving Blaze a squeeze of hope. "You're gonna need it."

Blaze smiled and nodded, closing his eyes. Soon, the almighty genie's jewels glowed, and a portal appeared beside him.

"Well... here goes everything..."

With that, Blaze dove right in to the portal, and Crusher watched as he vanished from sight.
