{Years later…}

Blaze smiled as Gabby led him and AJ through the Monster Dome. It felt like de javu remembering how he'd done this before, how he and AJ had come to Axle City for the first time, feeling everything was new and exciting.

It still felt new and exciting, knowing that some bits of the future has changed because of him.

As they passed through the pits, Blaze's eyes caught sight of Crusher's. He parted from the two humans and drove over to the pit.

The pit wasn't as messy as it was from the time he was from. It was clean, tidied up a bit. Part of it was fill of trophies, the other part was full of pictures, but it wasn't of himself.

They were pictures of his family. Him, Pickle and Hanna, with the girl growing up with each picture on the wall. The sight made Blaze smile.

"It worked... that means Sparkle should be okay!"

"It worked... that means Sparkle should be okay! And Hanna too! I have to get back and check!"

"Uh, hello?"

Blaze yelped and jumped at the familiar voice. He turned to see Crusher standing behind him.

"Oh, uh... hi! I'm Blaze, and I'm new."

"Oh, hello, Blaze," Crusher smiled.

"You have a beautiful daughter," Blaze said, looking at one of the photos. "What's her name?"

"Hanna," Crusher glanced at the photos proudly. "My precious baby girl… well, not so baby anymore, but still my baby girl,"

"You and your husband must be really proud of her."

"We are... but Hanna wouldn't be alive if it weren't for her guardian angel."

"Oh?" Blaze acted innocent as he glanced over. "Really, now?"

"He saved us from my wicked family, and he used magic to heal my daughter's blindness and muteness. If I ever see him again, I'm gonna thank him again for everything."

"I'm sure… you'll get the chance," Blaze smiled and turned. "It's good that you lived a great life,"

"I had the best life. Maybe, I'll... see ya around?"

"Sure you will. You'll be seeing a lot more of me," Blaze winked before driving away.

He soon rejoined AJ and Gabby. The boy smiled and waved over at the other.

"Hey, Blaze! Ready to watch the race?"

"Oh, yeah-" Blaze stopped mid-sentence when he thought to himself.

Would Crusher still need to cheat?

And if he didn't... how would he be able to race? Even he had to admit Crusher's cheating helped in showing everyone how fast he could go.

"Hey, Gabby? You know that dark blue truck racer? Does he, you know, cheat during races?"

"No, he races like everyone else," Gabby shook her head and smiled. "He's actually the most hardworking here, selling his trophies sometimes to provide money and tuition for his daughter,"

Okay, Blaze knew now he had a problem.

And he'll just have to try to fix it himself.

"Oh, I see," he smiled. "Say, AJ, I have a better idea than just watching the race,"

"Oh? And what is it?"

"What if we JOIN the race?" Blaze suggested. "You know, for fun!"

"That's a great idea, Blaze!" Gabby agreed. "You guys can go right on ahead to the starting line, if you want!"

"Thanks, Gabby!" AJ hopped onto Blaze's driver seat and started to head to the starting line.

They soon met with the other racers, along with Crusher, who wished them good luck. The lights soon flashed green before they dashed off. As he did, Blaze felt his surroundings swirl and his subconscious leave his body and return to the astral plane.

"H-Huh...? Did I win...?"

"I told you he could do it,"

Blaze turned to see Roarian and the almighty genie standing behind him. The genie sighed and crossed his arms.

"Yes, yes, I shall never doubt again,"

"Did... did it work?" Blaze asked, slowly getting up. "Are Sparkle and Hanna okay?"

"Yes, come," Roarian motioned him to follow him.

He led the red truck to a giant portal, where an image formed. There, Blaze saw 12-year old Hanna babysitting Sparkle in the park, both girls laughing as they chatted.

"They're... they're okay!"Blaze sighed in relief.

"Both alive and safe... surprisingly," the almighty genie chuckled. "You surprise and impress me, Blaze,"

"Really?"

"Yes. I have never seen a mortal this selfless to sacrifice his success for others," the almighty genie grinned. "You are not the fastest racer now because of Crusher's perseverance on racing for his daughter, you know,"

"I know... but it doesn't matter to me. What matters is that everyone is happy and safe."

"I think that you should rejoin the timeline now," Roarian suggested.

"Okay. Thank you so much... both of you."

With a flick and a swirl, Blaze found himself moving through a tunnel before he woke up on a picnic mat under a tree in the park.

"Woah, I... I'm back," he sighed in relief.

"Hey, B, had a nice nap?" Darington asked with a smile as he came in with the picnic basket and sat beside him.

"Yeah, and I had... quite the dream." Blaze chuckled and leaned back.

"Blaze! Blaze!"

He turned to see Sparkle and Hanna running towards him. The 8-year old hugged her brother while Hanna chuckled and grabbed an apple from the basket.

"Oh... Sparkle... Hanna. It's so good to see you." Blaze smiled.

"Good to 'see' you too, Uncle Blaze," Hanna grinned, motioning to her eyes with a wink.

Blaze looked confused, but before he could ask, a greeting came from nearby, and he turned to see Crusher and Pickle drive over with a smile.

"Hi, guys."

"Mom! Dad!" Hanna drove to them.

"Hi, baby girl!" Crusher chuckled.

"Dad! I'm not a baby anymore!" Hanna huffed. "I'm 12! Almost 13!"

"Still our baby~!" Pickle giggled.

"Nooo!" Hanna groaned and drove off, dragging Sparkle. "ESCAPE!!"

"Wow... I never realized how much they've grown."Blaze chuckled.

"Yeah..." Crusher laughed as Pickle and Darington chased after them. "I'm so glad Hanna grew up,"

"Me too."

A moment of silence came between them before the dark blue smiled and closed his eyes.

"Thank you,"

"For what?"

"Everything," Crusher chuckled. "It took me and Pickle a while, but how you looked... your voice back then..."

"You... you knew it was me?" Blaze's eyes widened.

"Like I said, it took us a while, but the more we saw you, the more familiar you looked and sounded, and the more we figured out," Crusher smiled.

"I-It was nothing. I just felt the need to help you out." Blaze smiled.

"It was everything, Blaze," Crusher sighed. "If I lost my baby girl... I don't know what I would do..."

Blaze gave him a smile. "It was my pleasure."

"Hey, Crusher! Can you help us out?!" Darington called. "These little squirts are getting away!"

"Sure, Darington! Be right back."

Crusher hopped up and drove to them. Blaze watched with a smile before sighing and leaning back against the tree.

"Wow... everything is so amazing now. And you know... it doesn't even matter I'm not the fastest racer anymore. I'm a racer who has the best friends and family in the world,"

"Indeed you do, but you better stop talking to yourself, lest you want to be seen as crazy,"

Blaze jumped and turned to see a small version of the almighty genie appear above him.

"Almighty Genie? What are you doing here?"

"I had forgotten to give you something,"

"For me? But... I don't deserve anything. I just did what I had to."

"But, it was your act of selfless kindness that made all of this possible for Crusher, Pickle, Hanna and your family. Anyone who was willing to sacrifice everything is worthy of a great reward." The almighty genie twirled his tires. "And so you will be give such,"

With a glow and a flick, Blaze gasped as angel wings appeared on his back as his tires glowed a bright gold.

"W-What...? What's happening...?"

"Your magic is now permanent," the genie spoke. "And you may use your powers whenever you need them,"

"Wow... thank you..." Blaze smiled. "I'll never forget this... and I'll never forget you."

The genie couldn't help but smile as he faded away, and Blaze looked toward the rest of the group happily.

"Well... a new life is just beginning."
