The fields of flowers gently swayed against the breeze as twin laughter echoed through the air. In the field, two young trucks drove around, playing and laughing as they ran. One was a red truck, with eyes as blue as the ocean with flames on his sides while the other was a dark blue truck, with eyes as black as coal with an icy blue lightning mark on his sides.

Despite their difference in appearance, the twin brothers were the closest siblings anyone in the kingdom has ever seen.

"Can't catch me!!"

"Oh yes I can!"

They jumped over rocks and chased each other through the grass. The dark blue one used his ice to make the ground slippery enough to slide faster.

"Tag, GOT YOU!" He cried with a giggle as he tapped the other's shoulder.

"No fair! You used your magic!"

"Never said we couldn't!" the dark blue laughed and slid off. "Try to catch me now!"

The red truck sighed and zoomed off after his brother. Just as they approached the palace gates while chasing each other, the sky began to darken.

"Uh oh... let's get inside!"

"Okay!"

Just as they were about to head inside, their mother screaming echoed through the air.

"MOM!!!"

"Come on! We have to help her!"

They ran inside as quickly as they could. They made it to the throne room, where they found a cloaked figure towering over their parents.

"Hey, you creep! Leave Mom and Dad alone!" The red truck cried.

The figure turned to them, eyes gleaming purple dangerously. It made it's way to them, tires glowing in dark magic as if sealed the doors behind them shut.

"W-Who are you? W-What do you want?" The dark blue truck whimpered, hiding behind his twin.

The figure chuckled before blasting the twins out with it's magic. Only the sound of their parents crying their names out was the last they heard before they blacked out…

Blaze woke up with a gasp, getting up as he panted.

"Whoa... that was... a crazy dream..."

He glanced around at the darkness of his room before sighing and laying back.

Meanwhile, in another house, Crusher woke up himself, hyperventilating as he held his head.

"Okay, okay... it wasn't real... it just a dream..."

He took a deep breath to calm himself before laying back down to get some rest.

The next day, it was another race day. Blaze and AJ, and Crusher and Pickle were the first to arrive at the Monster Dome, heading over to Blaze and Crusher's pits before the race started.

"Hey, Blaze, you ready to race?" AJ asked.

"Mm-hmm…" Blaze gave a nod, but the expression on his face looked as if he was thinking of something else.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, just… thinking about last night," Blaze sighed.

"Why? Did something happen?" Pickle asked.

"No, nothing too serious," Blaze shook his head. "It's just... I had this really weird dream last night."

"A dream?" AJ repeated. "What's it about?"

"About… a place, I guess," Blaze sighed. "I had a brother… a twin… and we were playing around when… when someone attacked our parents… and blasted us off,"

Crusher's eyes widened when he described the dream.

It was just like the dream HE had last night!

But how could that be? But before he could ask...

"Aaaaaaall racers to the starting line!"

"Well, I guess we'll have to figure out what that means later, bud," AJ smiled reassuringly. "Let's get moving."

"Right..."

Blaze moved onto the finish line and Crusher slowly followed. As Blaze moved over to the race track, Crusher pulled Pickle aside worriedly.

"Pickle, Blaze's dream-- it's just like the one I had last night!"

"Woah... that's insane... and cool!" Pickle gasped. "But what does it mean?"

"I... I don't know, really," Crusher sighed. "But... maybe... I don't know..."

"Maybe we can figure things out better after the race?" Pickle offered.

"Yeah... maybe."

Crusher nodded and drove off, but the feeling of strangeness and awkwardness still hung in the air as he took his position beside Blaze.

"Hey... good luck," Blaze weakly smiled.

"Uh, yeah, you too," Crusher nodded and turned away.

The light flashed green, and they zoomed off to race. But both fastest racers were off their games, causing them to be little slower than usual. But at the end of the race, they ended up tying anyway.

Good job, guys!" Pickle smiled.

"Thanks..." Blaze sighed. "This dream thing is really getting to me... maybe we should just go home."

They all seemed to agree and made their way out of the Monster Dome. As they made their way past the park, a horse's neigh echoed through the air.

"Huh? Did one of Starla's horses get loose again?"

They glanced around, trying to find the source of the noise. Soon, hoof landing on the grass caught their attention, and they turned to see an alicorn of purple with sea foam green mane and tail with emerald eyes step forward towards them.

"Whoa... is that... a unicorn with wings?!" Pickle gasped.

"I am an alicorn, actually," the being corrected.

"Oh... my bad."

"Wow... we've never seen a real alicorn before," Blaze smiled. "What's your name? And what are you doing here?"

"We cannot talk in the open," the alicorn said. "Let's head somewhere private,"

Her horn glowed bright before a flash of light. In an instant, they appeared at Crusher and Pickle's house, just outside of Axle City.

"Okay... that was cool," Crusher admitted. "But, why all the privacy? What's going on?"

The alicorn sighed before she sat down, encouraging the others to do the same. "I guess I better start from the beginning. Have... any of you had any strange dreams lately?"

"I have," Blaze replied.

"So have I," Crusher spoke as well.

"What were they about?"

"Like I said, I was in a place with my brother and we were playing," Blaze started.

"Then someone attacked and blasted... us... off..." Crusher added.

"Wait... you had the same dream?" Blaze asked Crusher.

"Yeah..." Crusher nodded.

"Um... Ms. Alicorn, should this mean something?" Pickle asked. "Why would Blaze and Crusher have the same dream?"

"A simple explanation," the alicorn smiled.

"And... that is...?"

"You both have the same dream," the alicorn pointed out. "A dream of brothers. Twin brothers. One of dark blue and one of red. That had given it out already,"

"Wait... if we were the brothers in the dream... doesn't that mean...?!" Crusher gasped.

"Yes," the alicorn nodded. "Yes, it does,"

"We're... BROTHERS?!"

Blaze and Crusher look bewildered. AJ and Pickle looked shocked.

"But... how?" Blaze managed to stammer.

"Years ago, your kingdom was attacked by an evil wizard," the alicorn answered. "Your parents were killed, and you two were casted with a mind-erasing and teleportation spell, sending you away,"

"This... this has to be another dream!" Crusher said, refusing to believe it as he backed away. "I don't have a brother! And I don't have magic!"

"Uh... then why is ice forming on your tires?" Pickle asked.

"Huh?

Crusher glanced down at his tires and yelped at the ice, causing him to slip on it and fall with a crash and a groan.

"Okay... maybe I do have magic..."

Blaze however, didn't say a word.

He couldn't say or do anything.

He was too shocked... too hurt.

"My... my life is a lie...?" he managed to stammer. "My mom and dad, and Sparkle... were never my real family...?"

"I'm sorry, but yes," the alicorn nodded. "They took you in when they found you, unconscious and hurt,"

"I... I don't believe this... it's not that I don't want Crusher as a brother, I do-- but... I didn't wanna find out like this..."

Crusher sighed and put a tire on his brother's shoulder. "I-It's okay. This is hard for me too. But... we'll work this out. So... why did we have this dream to begin with?"

"It is my way to reach out to you," the alicorn spoke with a bow. "I am Magica, and I'm here to lead you both home to save you kingdom,"

"Really?"

"Yes, " Magica nodded. "Your kingdom needs you, princes, the evil wizard had made everyone miserable and the whole land is almost in ruins because of him,"

"W-What do you think, Blaze?" Crusher asked.

"I think that we should give it a shot," Blaze replied. "I mean... our birth parents would want us to save our home, whenever we found out the truth."

"Well... okay. We'll go with you, Magica. But... how are we gonna get there?"

"Magic, of course,"

Magica let her horn glow before it released another flash. She, Crusher and Blaze disappeared from the house and found themselves in a plain field.

"W-Where are we? And where are Pickle and AJ?!" Blaze cried.

"They are still at the house," Magica said. "Only you two must go alone. It is too risky,"

"B-But... we can't do this without them!" Crusher said.

"We've always done adventures with them! They're our best friends!"

"Are you sure you want them to come?" Magica asked.

"We would like them to, but... then again... they'd be in a lot of danger if we did bring them along..." Crusher sighed.

"Then come, we must go,"

Magica led the brothers off on their adventure, galloping ahead through the field with the brothers following after.

Meanwhile, in the ruined palace of the kingdom of elements, the evil wizard Chrono stared at his crystal ball with a growl.

In the crystal ball showed images of Magica leading Blaze and Crusher through the land.

"DRAT!!! The princes have returned! I must do something to stop them, otherwise they will overthrow me!"

He twirled his tires around before casting a spell towards the clouds outside. Suddenly, the sky darkened just above the trio.

"Huh? What's that?" Blaze wondered, looking up.

Suddenly, thunder rumbled before lightning fell from the sky, hitting the ground.

"A lightning storm!" Magica gasped. "Quick, we must take cover!"

They all screamed as they ran to the trees to take cover. Unfortunately, lightning struck the trees, prompting them to dash off and away. They made it to a cave and sighed in relief as the lightning storm worsened outside.

"That lightning storm sure was sudden..." Blaze sighed.

"And definitely not a coincidence." Magica hissed.

"So, how do we stop this storm?" Crusher asked. "Usually Blaze and AJ together come up with ideas."

"Well, this is a magical storm, so maybe we can stop magic with magic," Blaze suggested.

"Let me try first." Crusher offered.

Blaze drove aside as the dark blue went forward. He took a deep breath and twirled his tires, causing ice to appear before he blasted up towards the lightning storm. The clouds froze for a bit before melting because of the lightning's heat.

"Great... my ice powers will melt cause of the lightning's heat! You try, bro!"

Blaze nodded and drove forward. He twirled his tires and burst out his flames towards the clouds. The lightning was opposed by the heat, but once it reached the clouds, it started to melt and create rain so heavy that a rainstorm formed with the lightning storm.

"Oh, great! My magic won't work either!"

"Wait... what if we combine our powers?" Crusher asked.

"Good idea!"

Blaze smiled before they went side by side. In the count of three, they blasted their magic towards the clouds together. Almost immediately, the lightning was burned away and the ice froze the clouds, clearing them away from the sky.

"It worked!" Crusher beamed. "We really make a great team!"

"Yeah! I guess we do!" Blaze grinned.

"Good work, princes," Magica smiled. "Now come, we must hurry before the evil wizard tries any more harsh spells on us,"

"Good idea," Blaze nodded.
