Back at the palace…

"THOSE TWO IMBICILES!!"

Chrono was practically screaming as he watched the crystal ball reveal the princes and the alicorn now heading through the fields. He snarled and swirled his tires around.

"Well... let's see them get past this!"

He blasted his magic out of the window, just at the cave the trio were passing. Suddenly, a familiar sound came from inside the cave.

"W-Wait... is that...?" Blaze turned and gasped to see five bighorns appear out form the cave. "Bighorns!"

They all screamed as they dashed off to get away from the bighorns coming their way.

"Crusher, use your ice to get rid of them!" Blaze exclaimed.

"I'm on it!"

Crusher stomped the ground, causing ice to appear and scatter. Two of the bighorns slipped on the ice and fell with a thud.

"Ha! Two down, three to go! Blaze, your turn!"

"On it!"

Blaze released his flames and created a barrier between them and the bighorns. The flames managed to do the trick, and two bighorns stopped driving to not get burned.

"Only one to go!" the red truck hissed. "But it's the biggest bighorn yet!"

"Allow me to have a try," Magica offered.

"Go for it, Magica!"

Magica grinned and used her horn, which glowed bright green. She called the on the grass below to turn into vines before it wrapped around the bighorn, trapping him.

"Nice one!" Blaze smiled. "Wow, I don't think we've ever gotten rid of bighorns that fast! I think Pickle and AJ would be proud of us."

"Yeah..." Crusher sighed.

"What's wrong, bro?" Blaze asked.

"It's just... okay, I kinda... miss Pickle already," Crusher winced.

"I know what you mean. I miss AJ too, but if we would have brought them, they could have been victim to the wizard's spells."

"I know, I know..." Crusher nodded.

"Come, princes, we must keep going," Magica urged. "The ruined palace is just over those mountains,"

"Let's hope we don't run into more evil magic." Blaze spoke.

"Knowing Chrono, I doubt it," Magica sighed and headed off.

Meanwhile...

"NOOO!!!" Chrono yelled as he watche dthe trio get closer and closer to the palace. "Any obstacle I throw at them, they defeat it! I need an obsacle to eat them and kill them!!"

He raised his tires and blasted the mountain the trio were climbing. There was a big boom before growls came from above the mountain.

"Uh... w-what was that?!" Crusher gulped.

"WOLVES!!" Blaze gasped.

They all turned to see giant wolves with ruby red eyes as they glared down at them. They gulped and slowly walked back before dashing off. the wolves snarled before following after them, chasing them with growls.

"How do we get rid of those things?!" Crusher cried.

"I know these wolves, but they are not usually this lethal," Magica told them. "Something is not right!"

"They're probably possessed by an evil spell!" Blaze realized. "Look at their eyes!"

"Chrono!" Magica growled. "How dare he?!"

"Uh, can we focus on the 'how' after we GET OUT OF HERE TO NOT GET EATEN?!" Crusher yelled.

"I'll give it a go!"

Blaze skidded to stop and used his flames to surround the wolves. He sighed in relief.

"It's okay, wolves," he then said gently. "We're not gonna hurt you. We just wanna help."

The wolves snarled in reply. Magica frowned, and Crusher approached, tires twirling before releasing ice. The ice melted into water, splashing down on top of the wolves's heads. In an instant, their eyes slowly returned to it's usual gold color.

"Look! I think the water did the trick!"

"Easy, friends," Magica calmed the whimpering wolves.

"They look so scared..." Crusher sighed sadly.

"To be used as weapons without caring for them..." Magica sighed. "Chrono is very low,"

"But... how are we supposed to stop him if he's powerful enough to take over animals' minds?" Blaze wondered.

"If you both use your powers against him, I believe you will stand a fighting chance." Magica told them. "Come, we can use a shortcut to get to the palace,"

"Shortcut? Now we're talking! Where is it?" Crusher asked.

Magica raised her horn, allowing it to glow yellow before a blast of light came. In an instant, the three of them disappeared from the mountains and at a broken arc, leading to a palace in ruins with lots of debris.

"Oh, whoa... this Chrono guy really wrecked this place!" Crusher gasped.

"He never wanted the kingdom, just the land," Magica sighed. "As soon as your parenst were... gone, he... he destroyed the palace, wrecked the arc and enslaved many,"

"We're gonna fix all this, I promise." Blaze told her.

"I hope so- GAH!"

Magica yelped as dark magic hit her and knocked her down. The brothers gasped.

"Magica!"

"I... I'm fine!" Magica coughed.

"Well, well..." the duo stiffened at the familiar voice. "what do we have here...?"

They turned around to see Chrono appear from behind them, eyes and tires glowing purple as he levitated above them.

"Chrono!" Blaze snarled. "Let Magica go!"

"Yeah! She didn't do anything to you!" Crusher huffed.

"She brought you two... children back here." Chrono snarled. "And she pays for it."

"Point 1, we're NOT kids," Crusher sneered, eyes beginning to glow icy blue. "Point 2, she was just trying to make things right, and point 3... we're about to kiss your rear end goodbye."

"You think you can all defeat me?" Chrono's eyes gleamed red now. "We'll see about that..."

He blasted his magic towards Crusher, who screamed as he was trapped in a purple cage. Icy blue magic slowly levitated from his being, causing him to grow weaker as he panted.

"Crusher!" Blaze gasped. "Let my brother go!"

"Why don't you join him?"

Chrono laughed mockingly before using his magic to pull Blaze into the cage. The red truck screamed as his fiery red magic was slowly being pulled out.

"He's draining our magic from us! W-What do we do?!" Crusher said.

"I... I don't know! I..." Blaze hissed.

Crusher held his brother's tire tightly and weakly smiled. "Let's... let's hit him with all that we have left... okay?"

Blaze nodded and shut his eyes. The other did too as they both focused on their magic. Suddenly, an icy blue and fiery red glow came from them. Then came a blast, destroying the cage and causing them to levitate up, much to Chrono's shock.

"W-What?! NO!! THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!"

"They are the brothers of this land, the most powerful born twins of the king and queen," Magica grinned. "What do you expect?"

"Chrono, you reign of terror is over." Blaze spoke.

"No!" Chrono snarled. "I will not LOSE to a bunch of princes!"

"Just watch us."

Crusher and Blaze levitated higher, eyes and whole body glowing brightly. They were soon nothing but light of red and green before their magic unified into purple magic. Chrono attempted to battle them, but as he got closer, he was blasted down onto the ground.

"NOOOOOOOO!!! THIS ISN'T OVER!!! YOU HAVEN'T HEARD THE LAST OF CHRONO!!!!!"

With that, the final blast was brought down at him, and immediately, he turned into dust. Magica's eyes widened in amazement before she glanced up to see the brothers release another blast. Little by little, the kingdom returned to the way it was, the palace rebuilding itself while all those Chrono enslaved were free from his command, causing them to cheer for joy.

"You did it, my friends!"

The brothers lowered themselves down on the ground. They both groaned and looked around in amazement.

"Wow... the land is so amazing now," Blaze smiled.

"And Chrono's finally gone!" Crusher cheered. "Wa-hoo!"

"If only AJ and Pickle were here to see this..." Blaze sighed.

Magica smiled and lifted her horn, which glowed pink. Suddenly, a bright flash surrounded them, and beside them stood Pickle and AJ.

"AJ! Pickle! You're here!"

"Guys!" AJ gasped, running to Blaze and hugging him tight.

"I'm so sorry we left you behind like that," Blaze sighed. "We were worried that since you and Pickle didn't have magic, Chrono would get to you guys."

"It's okay," Pickle reassured. "We're just glad you guys are safe!"

"Now, if it is okay with Prince Blaze and Prince Crusher," said Magica, rising with a heavy heart, "there's something I'd like to show you."

She led them off towards the back garden of the palace. The group followed after her with questions flowing, and when Magica finally stopped, Crusher and Blaze's eyes widened at what they saw.

Two graves, side by side with crowns engraved in the stone.

These weren't any graves...

These were their parents' graves.

"I buried them here in secret about 2 days after you were banished from the kingdom," said Magica, head lowered and ears flattened. "I swore to their corpses that the first thing I would do after you returned and got the kingdom back from Chrono is... I would take you to see their burial site."

"Mom… Dad…" Crusher fell to his tires as the tears suddenly rolled down their cheeks.

"Can... can you give us a minute...?" Blaze asked. "P-Please...?"

"As you wish," Magica nodded and trotted off. "Come along, Pickle and AJ."

Pickle and AJ slowly walked off behind her, and Blaze and Crusher sat in silence, teary eyed and devastated.

"All this time... I thought that Mom and Da-- I mean... Phoenix and Flame were my real family... while our real mom and dad were here... dead..." Blaze quivered.

"I know... and I thought all these years, I never had parents... it makes me feel... so incomplete..." Crusher hissed.

Blaze glanced over with a frown. "Oh… I… I'm sorry, bro… I… I never realized…"

"My… My Grammy was the one who found me…" Crusher spoke. "Always wondered if… if I really had parents… or… or if I was just abandoned…"

Blaze hugged his brother, both of them having waterfalls streaming down their cheeks. Their tears made their way down to the graves of their parents. Unbeknownst to them, the tears each gave a glow of blue and red before sinking down the graves.

"M-Mom and Dad wouldn't want us to grieve, Crusher," Blaze sniffled. "We... we have to make them proud."

"Y-You're right, bro. Come on... let's get to the others."

Just as they turned around, a magic glow came from the graves.

"Huh?" They turned back and gasped to see the graves glowing up.

"W-What's happening?" Crusher asked.

"I don't know, but something tells me that we better back up."

They backed up, away from the graves as the magic caused them to cease. In their place stood trucks of pink and purple, taller than them yet with features similar to them.

"W-W-What...?"

The brothers stared, shocked as the purple truck female groaned, opening her eyes, which revealed bright blue orbs as she turned to them. And as soon as she saw them looking at her, she immediately knew who they were, putting a tire to her mouth in shock, gasping as tears filled her eyes.

"Crusher...? Blaze...?"

"Are... are you... our mom...?" Crusher asked.

"Yes," said the purple truck. "It's me, Queen Jinx, your mother,"

"And... is the pink truck our dad...?" Blaze trembled.

"Yes," the pink truck drove forward. "I am your father, King Relish,"

"How...? How are you here? Am-- am I dreaming?" Blaze asked.

"No, you aren't dreaming, my love. We're really here... and we're never leaving again." Jinx smiled and hugged them.

"Mom...!" Crusher began to break down as he returned the hug.

Blaze broke down himself before hugging Jinx as well. Relish smiled and joined in the hug.

"I... I love you all so much..." Blaze sniffled.

"We love you too, son. We always have."

"Blaze...? Is everything okay over here?"

AJ, Magica and Pickle peeked over the hedges and gaspd upon seeing the king and queen.

"Y-Your majesties!!" Magica trotted forward. "You... how...?!"

"Magic and the love of family," Jinx smiled. "And thank you, Magica, for bringing our children back to us,"

"It was my pleasure."

"Come, we must host a ball to celebrate the royal family's return," Relish smiled.

"Really? Can Pickle and AJ come too?" Blaze asked. "They are... family to us too."

"Of course they can," Jinx nodded.

"YES!! Let's go guys!"

And that night was the most amazing ball ever, and Blaze and Crusher couldn't be any happier.
