Meanwhile, the group had looked through the window and saw what had happened.
"Oh... look at how sad he looks..." Yza sighed. "He just wants someone to love him..."
"Should we do anythin', Blaze?" Starla asked.
"I don't know what we can do-- we can't approach the Vampire King on our own, who knows what he could do to us since we're mortal." Blaze sighed. "Guess we have to wait in three days,"
"In the meantime, maybe we can try and cheer Crusher up someway." Pickle suggested.
"How are we going to get inside?" Darington asked.
"Leave that to me!" Yza smiled. "I know this castle like the back of my hoof! Follow me!"
"Yza, maybe you can get us in?" Gabby suggested.
"I... I can try," Yza nodded and galloped off.
The group followed the filly to some locked doors leading to the dungeons.
"The dungeons?" AJ asked.
"This... This is how I got out," Yza admitted. "I... I don't know how we're getting in, though..."
"Stripes?"
"I'll try," Stripes raised his claws but as they came in contact with the chains, it did nothing. "Nothing-- I don't know what we'll do..."
"Maybe some magic could work?" Pickle suggested.
"It's worth a try."
Pickle flicked his wand and aimed it at the chains. After a while, the chains began heating up before they exploded.
"Way to go! Okay, Yza, lead the way!"
They opened the doors, and Yza ran inside to lead them in. The dungeon cells were dark, with a faint glow of red all around as whimpering and crying came from the dungeon cells.
"Woah..." Darington shuddered.
"Yeesh," Watts gulped as she drove on some blood.
"Is that... crying Zeg hear?" Zeg asked.
"BLAKE!!" Yza galloped to one of the cells.
The group gathered to find another unicorn filly in the cell, one pale yellow with yellow mane and golden eyes. Beside him was, much to Quizon's surprise, another pegasus filly but grey with silver-white wings and silver white mane and tail.
"Yza...? You came back for us!" Blake weakly smiled.
"Of course I did!" Yza frowned. "What happened to you?! And Camille's wing?! Why is it bleeding?!"
"I... I broke one of the vases while cleaning," Camille whimpered as she glanced at her wing. "The King threw me towards the thorn bushes..."
"We'll be okay, though," Blake reassured. "Right now, we need to get the others and ourselves outta here!"
"Yeah!" Yza agreed. "But how...?"
"And... what others?" Blaze asked.
"Yeah-- all we see are you two," Darington nodded.
"They're all here, but they're hiding," Camille explained. "Come on out, everyone. It's okay."
More unicorn and pegasus fillies came out, whimpering as some came out bruised and others were badly injured.
"Oh my gosh..." Blaze couldn't help but gasp. "He's kept... all of you in this bad of shape? Has no one ever been kind to you before this?"
"We... no..." Blake shook his head. "We... We were all orphans... the Vampire King offered to take us in... then enslaved us after a few weeks..."
"He chained us, told us to rebuilt the palace or he'd kill us," a white pegasus with purple hair, wings and eyes stepped forward. "He told us that no one else wanted us, so he was being 'merciful' to us,"
"This is what merciful looks like? I'd hate to see pleasant..." Starla muttered.
"Don't worry-- we're gonna get all of you outta here." Blaze promised.
"Not a smart idea, dears,"
They all jumped to see Xander appear near them.
"Xander! We have to help these poor foals!" AJ exclaimed. "The king is just gonna keep abusing them!"
"I know, I see that," Xander sighed. "but not now, please,"
"W-Why not?" Camille asked.
"I have a plan, to help Crusher and help free the foals, but I need time," Xander hissed.
"So... what will we do in the meantime?" Gabby asked.
"Lay low, and don't let Beejay- er, the Vampire King see you,"
"I guess we have no choice, gang," Blaze sighed.
"Thank you," Xander smiled. "If this doesn't work out, I need you all to lead the foals out while I burn the castle,"
"So... will you just leave us until time's up...?" asked a dark blue pegasus with teary brown eyes.
"I'll take care of the work in the castle, so the king doesn't make you work, promise," Xander reached in and patted his head, despite the bars.
"And the rest of us will come and see you guys every chance we get," AJ promised. "We'll bring you guys food and toys, ans after this is all over, we'll help you find your own families!"
"Thank you, thank you!" The white unicorn with pink and white hair and pink eyes beamed.
"Where do we stay until then?" Gabby wondered.
"In the palace, but since you are all invisible, you may find vacant rooms for you to stay in for three days," Xander suggested.
"Thanks. Oh, where's Crusher?" AJ asked.
"In the castle, want me to call him?" Xander asked.
"Sure-- we don't want the king to get him."
"He wouldn't even go near him, so I don't think that's anything to worry about," Xander sighed.
"Why would your friend want to go near the king?" asked a pink pegasus with a green, blue and purple mane and blue eyes, looking confused.
"If it means reconnecting with his father, I'm sure he'll try," Xander chuckled.
"F-Father?!" the foals and fillies gasped and murmured.
"Uh-oh, I didn't spill it this time!" Pickle gulped.
"Yes, our friend apparently is the son of the Vampire King," Blaze confirmed.
"But don't worry-- he's really nice," AJ smiled.
"I-If you're sure..." Camille gulped.
Xander's eyes glowed purple. After a while, a bat flew into the dungeon before transforming into Crusher, who yelped as he crash-landed on the ground.
"Ow~" Crusher sighed and forced himself up. "Wha-- what's going on?"
"Crusher! You're okay!" Pickle ran to hug him.
"Yeah…" Crusher nodded and hugged him back. "So… where are we exactly…? And what are you guys doing here? I thought you were all staying at the hut,"
"We wanted to follow you to help if things got bad," Blaze explained. "As for where we are, we're in the castle dungeons with Yza's friends."
"Huh?" Crusher turned to see the whimpering foals. "Oh… what happened to them…?"
"These foals and fillies have been enslaved by the king all their lives, and we wanna help them escape," Stripes said. "But, Xander says we have to wait."
"So what's the plan for you exactly?" asked Starla, looking at Xander.
"What do you mean?" Xander asked, confused.
"What are you gonna do while the rest of us are in hiding?"
"Try my hardest to convince The Vampire King to give Crusher a chance," Xander sighed before grinning. "Even if I have to smack his head again and again until he sees that his son isn't dead and that he's not hallucinating,"
"Well, I can't say it's something I would do," Blaze said, "but we have to try."
"We better go up and get some sleep, guys," AJ sighed. "We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow."
"Indeed," Xander agreed. "While you rest, I will start the plan. Come, Crusher,"
"Okay. See you guys tomorrow!" Crusher waved them off as they exited the dungeon.
X
Night fell quickly in Transylvania. King Beejay of the vampires stood on his balcony. As he stared at the forest below him, he felt his old friend come up from behind him.
"What do you want, Xander?"
"To smack your head," Xander sighed and did smack his head. "Why can't you see what's right in front of you, Beejay? You're not usually like this,"
"He isn't my son... he just... can't be."
"Not this again…" Xander groaned. "Beejay, look at him. He looks like Bluebell, doesn't he?! There is no coincidence!"
"It could be a coincidence."
"I swear…" Xander took a deep breath and pointed down at Crusher, who was at the garden, practicing at the area to fly. "LOOK at him, Beejay. Stop being stuck at the past! He's alive! Right there! Well, actually, not alive since he's a vampire now, but you get what I mean!"
"But... even if he IS my son, why would he ever care about me?"
"Well, for starters, he'd care that he has a parent," Xander sighed. "From what I heard, he had no one growing up,"
"W-What?"
"He had no parent," Xander repeated. "I'd call it a theory when I say that the mortals took him to get rid off, but he ended up surviving somehow and now he's here," He turned to Crusher again before hissing. "He's here now, Beejay. This is your chance to see him. To be with him. To be a father, why don't you accept that?"
"But... after all I put him through recently... what if he never forgives me...? What if he blames me for letting his mother get killed?"
"You idiot," Xander shook his head and smacked him. "He thinks that YOU blame HIM for what happened," He sighed. "Man, you two really are father and son…"
"First of all, ow, that's the second time," Beejay huffed. "Second, do you really think he'll give me a chance?"
"Yes, if you give him one too," Xander crossed his tires before turning. "Because if you don't, I'm adopting him,"
"Wait, WHAT- XANDER!!"
Xander laughed as he zipped off. Beejay hissed and drove after him, ranting and yelling.
As they dashed off, a pair of blood red eyes came from the balcony curtain. The being came out, revealing herself to be a maroon truck woman with blood red eyes as she growled.
"So… the prince has returned…?" she scoffed. "Not in my watch,"
With that, she transformed into a bat and flew off into the garden.
"Hello, vampire prince."
"GAH!" Crusher yelped and turned, finding himself face to face with HER. "Um, hello, and you are…?"
"Mika," the truck smirked. "I'm a… friend of your father's,"
"If you came here to trick me or spell me, it won't work," Crusher sighed. "I wouldn't put it past my so-called Dad to try and make me a slave like those poor foals and fillies."
"Oh, I think you've mistaken," the woman cackled. "Your father doesn't even know I'm in the castle,"
"W-Wait, huh? Then... why are you here? To make me YOUR slave?"
"Oh, too much slave talk, dear," Mika smirked, eyes glowing in the darkness. "I only enslave mortals, after all,"
"Then... what do you want with me?"
"A newcomer in Transylvania castle, dear, what do you think?" Mika moved closer. "Also the lost child of the king. Why wouldn't I come to see you for myself?"
"I… how did you find out about me…?"
"Xander wouldn't stop chattering about you," Mika huffed. "That's all he's talking about with your father,"
"Oh…"
"Anyway…" Mika held out a tire. "You look like you could use some help flying,"
"Uh... I guess..."
Mika turned into a bat and flew up, encouraging the other to follow. Crusher followed after her as the flew up towards the clouds.
"Come on, dear, a little higher!" she called out.
"Uh… okay…" Crusher flew up after her more.
They soon made it towards and through the clouds. Crusher gasped as he found a great view of the moon.
"Wow... it's beautiful up here..." He smiled before glancing around to find Mika missing. "Mika? Mika?! Where are you?!"
Just as he turned, Mika came up from behind him with a smirk. With a knife she had taken from the castle, she swooped down and deeply scratched his wing.
"AHH!! What are you doing?!" Crusher cried in pain, making it difficult to fly.
"Making sure the prince never makes it back to the palace alive!" Mika laughed before swooping down and scratching his other wing.
"AGH!!! SOMEONE!!! HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!"
From below the palace, his scream echoed and reached Xander and Beejay glanced up, confused.
"Is that... Crusher?" Xander narrowed his eyes before gasping. "It is! Beejay, help me!"
Beejay nodded and turned into a bat before flying up with Xander. They made it in time as Crusher fell, his wings bleeding as he screamed.
"SOMEONE, HELP ME PLEASE!!!"
"I have you," Xander gently took the smaller bat. "Are you alright? What happened?"
"Mika... s-she tricked me..."
Crusher glared at the other vampire truck in anger, eyes burning. He knew, besides Mika, who was to blame.
"You... you did this..."
"What?" Beejay looked confused. "What-"
"MY KING DEAREST!!~"
They all turned to see Mika flying down, showing off her flips as she grinned at the king. Beejay snarled.
"Mika..."
"I see you saved your little baby boy..." Mika mockingly cooed. "After what he just went through, I wasn't sure if your son would survive."
"I'm not his son," Crusher hissed.
"Mika, WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING HERE?!" Beejay growled, ignoring what Crusher said because he predicted as such.
"I came to say to my bf~"
Xander had a dark expression as she purred that. Beejay gagged.
"We broke up CENTURIES AGO! GET OUT!!"
"Not until your son dies for good," Mika sneered. "I mean, look at him-- he's an ugly, wretched monster!"
"Fine." Mika huffed. "but this isn't over! I swear it!"
With that, she flew off and into the night.
"Take me back down to my friends..." Crusher said to Xander. "And make sure HE stays as far away from them as possible!"
Xander sighed and flew down. Beejay shook his head and flew up, heading to his balcony.
As soon as they were on the ground, Xander helped Crusher detransform.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?"
"No... she just got me on the wings. Can you heal it?"
"Of course."
"Crusher!" Blaze and AJ, accompanied by Pickle, ran toward him. "Are you okay?!"
"Yeah... just injured," Crusher sighed.
"Easy healing," Xander smiled. "You sure you're not hurt anywhere else?"
"Positive."
"What happened up there?" AJ asked.
"Hurt and accusations, speaking of which," Xander smacked Crusher upside the head.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"What was that for even?! Your father wasn't doing anything but chasing me for being ridiculous," Xander huffed. "Though in all favor, he's the ridiculous one, but still! What was THAT attitude for?!"
"Well, if he really WAS my dad, he wouldn't have let this happen! YOU saved me! HE didn't! I... I wish YOU had been my dad!!"
"Believe me, I would adopt you if he doesn't open up his eyes," Xander chuckled. "but the thought of it already pissed him off, so I rather not until three days is over, but that's not the point," Xander sighed. "You don't know him, he doesn't know you. You have to give him a chance. If not for him then perhaps for the foals and fillies below the castle? Please, Crusher,"
"Fine..." Crusher sighed. "For the fillies,"
"But really, what happened? Who hurt your wings, Crusher?" Stripes asked.
"Some vampire called Mika," Crusher hissed.
"Mika is your father's ex," Xander explained. "It was her idea to kidnap your mother... not knowing that she would fall in love with your father,"
"Oh..."
"Yes..." Xander hissed. "That brat still wants vengeance after your father broke up with her,"
"So... what can we do to stop her?"
"Keep our eyes out," Xander sighed. "And be careful, she could come out of anywhere to do it again if she wanted,"
"Got it." Everyone nodded.
"Good," Xander smiled before grabbing Crusher. "Now come on, back inside the palace with you. Time for dinner,"
"Fine..." Crusher groaned.
"And no attitude!"
"Ugh..."
"What about us?" AJ asked.
"I'll sneak out and give you some dinner," Xander assured them.
"Okay... come on, guys. Let's head down to the foals."
