It had been two days since the incident with Mika and Ara. In the woods, Errika watched over Xander's grave, waiting for him to wake up. This was the last day, she knew Xander was about to wake, and when he does, she needed to be ready.
Suddenly, from the ground, a groan came. A tire soon crawled out, digging his way out of the grave before emerging with a growl.
"Xander...?" Errika drove over to help him out. "How do you feel, old friend?"
"Sore..." Xander hissed. "How... How long have I been out...?"
"Three days,"
"Three?" Xander's eyes widened. "You mean... Beejay turned me...?"
"Into a vampire, yes."
"Well, it was bound to happen, anyway," Xander sighed as he was set down.
"Do you want me to get the king?"
"Yes," Xander nodded. "Yes please,"
"I'll be right back."
Errika quickly transformed before she flew off towars the palace. She landed in the throne room with bow.
"Your majesty, Xander is awake!"
"He is?!"
Beejay jumped off his throne before turning into a bat and following after her towards the hut. There, he found Xander on the chair, resting.
"XANDER!!"
"Beejay…?" Xander glanced up only to be enveloped in a hug by the other.
"Are you all right?"
"Yes, yes, I'm fine," Xander smiled. "Thanks to you,"
"Ready to come home? I know my son and his friends are all worried."
"Yeah… I'm ready," Xander nodded as the other helped him up. "Thank you for your help, Errika."
"Thank you for your help, Errika."
"It is no problem," Errika bowed before snickering. "Though you know what that means, right, your majesty?"
"Hush, Errika," Beejay reddened a bit while Xander looked confused. "Let's go."
"Let's go."
"O… Kay…?"
Xander sighed in defeat and let his wings carry him off as they made their way back to the palace.
At the palace, Crusher was playing with the fillies and foals, along with all of his friends.
"Tag, you're it, Yza!"
"No fair, Blake! I'm coming for you, Camille!!"
"Nooo! Ashley, Prism, HELP!"
The friends laughed as the fillies and foals chased each other through the grass of the garden.
"Wow, they are so much more playful now that they're not slaves anymore!" Pickle giggled.
"That's a good thing," Blaze smiled.
"Yeah…" Crusher also gave a smile but repeatedly glanced up, waiting.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just…" Crusher sighed. "It's been three days. Xander should be up by now…"
"Son! Look who I brought back!"
They all glanced up to find Beejay fly in. Xander was flying with him as they landed in front of the group.
"XANDER!!!"
They all ran to Xander, the fillies and foals embracing him.
"We were so worried!" AJ sighed. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine," Xander smiled. "Sore but fine,"
"Thank goodness," Starla sighed. "The foals and fillies were super worried bout ya."
"I-I-I knew he was gonna be okay!" Blake fibbed, trying to look brave.
"Yeah, right!" Quizon nudged him. "You were sniffling like the rest of us!"
"Either way," Skydancer broke them up, "what are we gonna do about those sisters?"
"Well, the forcefield around us, we should be safe for the time being," Xander assured them.
"That's a relief!" Gabby sighed.
"Yeah, I'm glad you're okay, Xander," Crusher smiled and hugged him.
"Aww, thanks, Crusher," Xander smiled and patted his head.
"So what do we do now?" Yza asked.
"I… actually have news," Beejay sighed.
"What is it, Dad?" Crusher asked.
"I… uh…" Beejay flushed a bit. "I… have chosen someone as my new… lover and future spouse,"
"That's... great," Blaze tried to smile. "Wh-Who is it?"
"Paria," Beejay gave a confident grin.
Xander's face reddened as he covered it with his tires while the others looked confused.
"Paria? Who in the world is that?" Starla said.
"I HATE you!" Xander glared with a hiss. "You could've been more direct!"
"You know I don't do 'direct'," Beejay laughed.
"Dork," Xander smacked him before sighing and turning to the group. "Paria is my last name…"
"Ohhh... makes sense, with all the weird interactions between the two of you lately," Stripes said, causing Darington to snicker.
"Yes, it does," Beejay grinned and took Xander, holding him.
"Moron," Xander sighed.
"I'm your moron," Beejay giggled.
"Yes, unfortunately," Xander chuckled and pulled him into a kiss.
"Aww..." the group cooed.
"I'm really happy for you, Dad, the both of you. But... what if Mika hears about this and tries to attack, even with the force field?" Crusher wondered worriedly.
"Don't worry, we'll be ready," Beejay smirked, holding Xander closer. "I'm not letting her repeat the same attack,"
"We wanna help too!" Blaze exclaimed.
"But how, B? We don't have magic or vampire powers!" Darington cried.
"Hmm… no, you don't," Beejay agreed with a nod.
"But is there a way for them to help us, Dad?" Crusher asked.
"Hmm… to transfer magic abilities to mortals without changing them us quite tricky," Beejay admitted.
"Changing us?" AJ asked, a little confused.
"Vampire changing, he means," Xander explained. "And he's right. Only a vampire can ward off another vampire,"
"We have to try something!" Pickle tried to persuade. "Crusher just found a parent who loves him, and his majesty just found someone HE loves!"
"Pickle has a point," Stripes agreed. "If there's any way we can help you, we will."
"Well, if they're offering…" Xander turned to Beejay.
Beejay sighed. "Alright… I might know one way,"
"What is it, Dad? It isn't gonna... hurt them... is it?" Crusher gulped.
"No, no, it won't, don't worry," Beejay assured him. "Well, not completely. Giving them vampire magic without turning them into vampires would give them a few side effects,"
"Like... what?" AJ asked.
"A stinging sensation and some nausea when it comes to strong garlic," Beejay replied.
"Okay, that won't be too bad," Darington smiled.
"Uh... will you be able to take it out of us when this is over?" Pickle asked.
"That… cannot be promised," Beejay admitted.
"Oh..."
"Well... lay it on us, sire," Blaze sighed.
Beejay nodded. His eyes closed for a moment before he opened them, eyes glowing gold and red as he opened his mouth. His sharp fangs had this strange black liquid Crusher had seen before as it floated out of the Vampire King's fangs and towards the group.
The black liquid entered through their eyes, which each glowed gold as the fluid entered them. After a while, they began to grow dizzy.
"Whoa... I feel so weird..." Blaze hissed.
"Another side effect; dizziness," Beejay sighed. "but it won't last long, promise,"
"Come on," Crusher said, guiding them.

"Ugh, Force Field." Mika hissed as she and Ara spied into the castle from outside. "How do we get inside and kill that hybrid brat now?!"
"I'm thinking, I'm thinking!" Ara snarled.
"Well, think HARDER! VENGEANCE MUST BE FULFILLED!!" Mika yelled.
"SHUT UP!" Ara smacked her. "Come on, let's get back to our castle think of a plan!"
"Fine..."
With that, the sisters flew off and away from the palace.

By the next morning, Blaze and the gang started to realize the other side effects of the spell brought upon them.
For starters, Blaze woke up tired and exhausted. When Darington opened the curtains, he hissed as the sun burnt him immediately. And Stripes's senses were much more enhanced. Starla felt the urge to eat the bloody meat, Watts as well. Gabby and AJ were having some nausea effects against garlic.
The only thing that made sure that they were still mortals was the fact that they didn't grow fangs.
"Are you all okay?" Quizon asked the gang met up with him and the fillies since the vampires were still asleep.
"We're fine," Blaze sighed. "This is just gonna take some getting used to."
"So what do we do while Crusher, Xander and the king are sleeping?" AJ asked.
"Let's go play outside!" Skydance cried.
"Not a good idea, Skydance," Darington said. "Since we have some vampire magic in us, we don't react with sunlight as well as we used do."
"Aww…"
"Let's play hide and seek!" Scarlet suggested. "Inside the palace!"
"Good idea, Scarlet-- I'll be it!" Blaze smiled. He covered his eyes as the group scattered to find hiding places. "One... two... three... four..."
As he counted, each of his friends ram off hiding, in rooms and in other places. Darington and Quizon had teamed up and made their way through the halls, looking for a place to hide.
"Where should we go, Darington?" Quizon asked.
"Well, we should try and avoid the rooms where the vampires are sleeping..." Darington hissed.
"O-Okay…" Quizon nodded. "So we avoid Crusher and the King's rooms…"
They searched the place for a better room to hide. Just as they did, the tiles under them became lose and unstable, prompting them to open and causing the them to fall.
"AAAAAHHH!!"
They soon landed underground with a thud.
"Are you okay, little guy?" Darington asked the little pegasus.
"I think so, but... where are we?"
"Some kind of underground place," Darington hissed, getting up and helping the Pegasus up. "The place looks abandoned and burned,"
"I-It's kinda creepy..." Quizon gulped.
"This could be the foundation the old castle was built on! Quick, tell the others to get down here! We gotta explore!"
"B-But… how do we get out of here…?" Quizon looked around in fear.
"Well... it's too high for me to jump, so... I guess you'll have to fly out."
"I… I'll try…"
Quizon flapped his wings before heading up towards the hole above them.
"Come on, come on..."
At last, he made it to the hole. He landed on the floor tiles with a slight tumble.
"I... I did it... I did it! I actually flew!"
"Now go and get the others!" Darington called out to him.
"I'll be right back!"
Quizon galloped and headed off, finding the others. And of course, the first he found was Blaze.
"Blaze! Come on! Darington and I found something!"
"Really? What is it?"
"We're not sure, but we want you to come and see it!"
"Alright! Everyone, come out! Darington and Quizon found something!"
"Right behind you, guys!"
Their friends came out of hiding and running after them. They soon made it to the hole, where Darington waved from below.
"Hey, B! Guys! Come on down here!"
"Hang in there, Darry! We're coming!"
They all jumped down and into the hole. Blaze shone his headlights and looked around in amazement.
"Whoa... how did you guys find this place?"
"We were walking through the hall when we fell through the flooring," Darington explained. "Stripes, any idea what this place would be?"
"Could be a secret underground basement or something," Stripes suggested. "Maybe we can explore more to find out!"
"I'm in! Let's go!" Skydance called to her friends, and she, Moondust and Camille ran off further.
"Woah, you fillies, be careful!" Blaze called out.
"We better go after them to make sure they don't get into any trouble," AJ said.
"Good idea," Blaze nodded. "You guys make sure none of the other foals and fillies run off. We'll go after those three."
The duo ran after the three fillies.
Meanwhile, Camille was now leading as she made her way through some tunnels.
"Gee... these tunnels sure are dark and spooky... maybe we should head back," Moondust said, but Skydance lifted her wing to stop him.
"No way!" Skydance laughed. "I bet we'll find something amazing at the end of these tunnels!"
"Maybe..."
"Come on!" Camille said. "I think I see something at the end!"
When they reached the end, they found a glowing altar made of gold. On it was a book that shone silver, causing the fillies to gasp in amazement.
"It's so pretty! What is it?"
"It's a book, Skydance," Camille rolled her eyes.
"Maybe it's a book with magic in it! If we take it to the king, maybe he can tell us more about it!" Moondust said.
"Good idea!" Camille grinned. "Let's take it back and show it to the others!"
Camille grabbed it and gently took it off the altar. As she did, Blaze and AJ managed to catch up with them.
"Guys! There you are!" AJ sighed. "Next time, don't wander off like that!"
"Sorry, guys," Skydance whimpered with her head held low. "We just found something you guys might wanna see."
"What is it?" Blaze asked.
Camille nudged the book over to him, and Blaze took a closer look at it.
"Hmm... this might be a good find, Skydance," the red truck told her. "Let's take a look inside and see what we have."
Blaze flipped open the book, and it showed an image of a truck. A sketch of a truck that was split into half, one that said vampire and one that said mortal.
"Hmm... looks like the truck in here was half vampire and half mortal, kinda like Crusher!"
"What else does it say?" Camille asked.
"It says… 'a rare sight, a hybrid to be, a mortal with immortality'," Blaze read. "It also say 'a child of both worlds and a hope of union, can be the child that would lead to destruction',"
"Destruction? Hope of union? Immortal-i-what-sy? What does all that mean?" Moondust asked.
"Well, immortality means someone can live forever without dying," AJ explained. "As for the hope of union and destruction part, I'm not sure. Blaze, what else can you dig up?"
"Hmm…" Blaze flipped the pages. "It's like a diary. It says here; 'I am King Antreus, King of the Vampires. I have been told by the Vampire Seer that my son would have a child of mortal and immortal, to restore peace between the mortals and monster. It is a shock to me because my son is barely a century old, and is too young to have a child, but the seer was certain. I am not entirely accepting this for I have seen how mortals are.',"
"Could that be the king's father?" Camille asked.
"I don't- woah!"
They all gasped as the room around them shifted and changed. The place was no longer as dirty or abandoned as it was while a truck stood by the altar behind them.
"W-What's happening?" Skydance gulped.
"Looks like we… travelled to when this part of the diary was written down," Blaze observed.
"Wow... awesome! But... who is that truck at the alter?"
"I think… that's King Antreus, the Vampire King's father," AJ theorized, watching as the truck wrote vigorously on the book on the altar.
"What is he writing?" Moondust questioned.
"The same pages we read, I'm guessing," Blaze hummed.
"Hmm... maybe there might be something in here that could help us defeat Ara and Mika!" AJ exclaimed.
"Good point." Blaze nodded and opened the pages again. "Hmm… 'I didn't want to make the seer be deemed right, so I arranged my son to be wed to the eldest princess of the Vampire Duke Gabriel. His daughter Mika would be my son's future wife, hoping that the hybrid child could never exist for as long as I shall live…',"
"Well... now we know how Mika came into the picture..." Skydance stuck out her tounge.
"But it doesn't say how we can stop her," Moonbeam pointed out.
"Maybe if we read a little further ahead," AJ shrugged.
Blaze flipped through the pages again. " 'My son and Mika finally got together. It was a fantastic sight. But I seemed to notice Mika not having an interest for my child. Only for the riches we bestow her. Spoiled brat.'"
"HA!! In your face!" Camille spat.
"Hmm... wait, what about that seer thing? It might help!" Moondust smiled.
"Yeah! Um... what's a seer?" Skydance asked.
"From what Stripes told us, a seer is someone who can see the future, the past, the present and those hidden identities," Blaze explained.
"Maybe he can help us! Let's go find him!" AJ cried.
Blaze shut the book, prompting everything to return back to normal. They then dashed off back to their friends.
"Guys! We have an idea of who else can help us defeat Ara and Mika!"
"Who?" Pickle asked.
"A seer! This diary from Crusher's grandfather says there's a seer out there somewhere. If we find him, he could give us the answers we need!"
"Ooh! Good call!" Starla beamed. "But did it say where to FIND the seer?"
"Let's see..." Blaze flipped through the pages. "Hmm… here. Misty Window, home of the Vampire Seer Christiano,"
"Then let's go there and find him!" Stripes beamed.
"Uhh how do we get out of this hole tho?" Darington wondered, looking up. "I can see the pegasi getting out, but us? I just don't see it,"
"Hmm…" Blaze gave it a thought. "Maybe some magic could get us out of here,"
"But... what magic do we have?" Yza asked. "Our unicorn horns won't have their magic effect until we're older."
"Don't worry, not your magic," Blaze patted Yza's head. "Pickle magic,"
"You got it, Blaze!"
Pickle waved his wand around, and they all appeared at the garden, the group hissing a little at the contact with the sun.
"Yeesh... I forgot-- vampire magic doesn't react well with sunlight..." Blaze rolled his eyes.
"So what should we do?" Blake asked. "Put on sunscreen?"
"That won't help, dodo," Prism gave him a nudge.
"Now, now, no need to get all upset," Starla broke the two up. "So, Blaze, how are we gonna do this?"
"Maybe we can oppose magic with magic?" Darington suggested.
"Let's give it a try," Pickle shrugged.
Pickle waved his wand around again. An invisible force field covered around them, and the sun's heat no longer affected.
"Ah... that's better..." Darington sighed.
"Now time to get to Misty Willow… wherever it may be," Gabby smiled.
"Can Pickle magic send us there?" Zeg questioned.
"Let's see if I can…" Pickle waved his wand. "Abra-Ka-Pickle!!"
Magic surrounded them before they disappeared in a poof.
