A Spy's life Reboot EP 23: Curse of the Deep
In the middle of the night at beautiful Monta Carlo, 2 lone divers were swimming deeper and deeper into the darken ocean until they came across a wrecked ship, peaking there curiosity as they went to explore it. As they swim around it, they discovered, much to there luck and glee, a treasure chest full of gold coins. As one uses a sack to fill there loot, another felt something swims pass them with a growl, making the man look around as he swore that he felt something was watching them. As the man recovers and helps his partner fill the bag, they noticed a large shadow is covering them as they glanced back to a huge creature behind them, roaring right at them as they screamed in terror!
At Beverly Hills JR. High, Dan and Normie were walking down the hall as they talk. "Man! That Math test was hard! I thought my brain was going to blow up from all those questions." "You think you have it bad? I had a chemistry pop quiz, last period. CHEMSITRY! The one subject I completely suck at! It's like no matter what dimension I'm in, school is always bad." "Well, it's not as bad as Summer School…" Both boys shivers at the thought as they got a cringing look. Dan's phone went off as he answers it. "Hello?" "Hey, Dan! It's Maddie. I just got a call from those Forever Knights guys, saying they have a new mission for us." "Got it! Thanks, Mads!" Dan hung up as both boys heard a noise and checks to see it coming from Dan's Locker, making him open it to see a portal. "Dude, are you sure we can trust these Knights, after what you told us about your version?" "No! I don't trust them enough to throw them far as Humungousaur! But until I get proof, I might as well go with the flow on these tin cans." Dan replies as they both enters in and shuts the locker door.
The 2 meets up with Maddie, who is already there as King Patrick greets them in his throne room. "Greetings, Tennyson and friends. There has been reports of a missing diver that disappeared from the Harbor of Monta Carlo." "A missing person? Doesn't that sound like the Police's job?" "Not quite… The missing diver has seen an unknown force of strange kind, possibly supernatural, before vanishing. Another diver got away and is the witness. We want you 3 to investigate and found out what caused the diver to disappear." Normie spoke out. "I'm just going to say this from the start: A giant, one-eyed squid monster with a taste of human flesh has risen from the murky deeps to eat! Just like in my favorite movie: 'Beast beneath the sea'!" The blonde did a creepy expression as Dan crosses his arms and responds. "Or… it could be a Kraken who is missing some eggs. That's what happened the last time I was involved with something like this." "Ether way, boys. We won't know until we check it out." The girl spoke out as Patrick spoke out. "Correct, young maiden. My knights have already loaded your copter with scuba gear you will need. Good luck, young squares!" King Patrick spoke he pushes on his armrest and sent the kids out through another portal. "WHOOOOAAAA!"
The Omni-copter landed on the outskirts of Monta Carlo as the kids took the Buggy into town. The trio walks around and were impressed by the sights. "Cool! You know what I love about being a spy and Paranormal hunting Superhero, guys? Seeing cool places that not in your country! And after being in space a few times, I think I got a whole new respect on travel." Dan grins out as the other 2 gazes around, exploring all over. "Tell us about! This can be an awesome Spring Break spot for just a couple weeks away!" "I know! I got to talk to daddy about hanging out here." Maddie smiles out as Dan smiles at his friends. The purple haired girl then realizes something as she sighs out. "Of course… if the older spies and adults were here, they would say work first then play." "Got it! So… Who do we walk to?" Normie fishes out the card one of the Knights gave him and spoke out. "Stephan the Diver. Let's check by the boats and see if—" Suddenly, a monster roar along with a shake cuts him off as people panics as they kids ran towers the source.
They trio stops at a large part of the balcony look like it was bitten off as Maddison notices the shaking coming from a collapsing column. "Dan! The column!" "On it!" Dan cries out as he slaps down on the Omnitrix, transforming into Rath as he quickly dives in, swimming and ushing his strength to stabilize the pillar. "Oh yeah! No stupid pillar gets broken while Rath is on the job!" Rath quickly climbs and leaps out and shakes his fur dry. "You know, I always wondered why Rath is not scared of water, dispute being a cat?" '"Because Rath is not scared of anything! Because fear runs from the Rath! Because Rath can kick it's butt and mail it to the hospital!" Rath declares out as he flexes his muscles as Maddie responds. "Just ignore it, Normie. It's an alien thing." The blonde frowns out as he gazes around, only to find something interesting as he picks it up. "Whoa… check this out!" He picks it up to show a huge tooth. "What's that?" "A tooth… But really big." "A clue…" Rath comments out as Normie notices some slime on it as well. "Let's see what the knights have to say about this." Using the disc to scan it, the device starts analyzing as it got the results. "Whoa! That's fast." Normie comments as Maddie reads it. "According to this, it's a monster tooth!" Normie grins out as the girl got an annoyed look. "Okay! So there is a monster running around. Let's talk to Stephan and see if we can learn some more."
The team of young monster hunters went down to the boats to meet the man, Stephan. They started to talk to him and ask him questions on what happened. "I wish I can tell you more, but I don't know." 'Well, start at the beginning, anyway." Dan spoke out. "We were leisurely swimming when the water suddenly got very cold. Then splashing… Then some sort of shadow. And my friend was gone. That's all I can remember." Normie frowns out. "Not much to go on, dude." Dan looks up and saw the clouds were forming as it was starting to get storm like. "Just like before… Brace yourselves! Things are going to get rough!" Suddenly, there is a brief shake as people screamed as something was moving underneath the boats, grabbing and dragging one away from the others and then sinks it, all while the 4 watched from their boat. "Well, it's clear on what to do. We're going scuba diving." "Wait! In there?! Where the monster is!?" Maddison cries out as she points in fear at the water as Dan gave her a questioning-look as the girl sighs out. "Why didn't I stay home for the press conference, instead?"
After heading back to the copter for there suits, Stephan drove his boat out where his friend was as the kids suits up and dives in. As the kids swim through the ocean water, they can't help by amazed how beautiful the sea looks when under it. "Wow! Look at this! It's pretty!" "Okay! This is pretty cool!" Normie spoke out as they dive deeper and deeper. "I know, right?"! Dan spoke out from his experiences at swimming underneath as Ripjaws. "Sure wish I was Ripjaws, through." Dan mumbles out, sometimes missing his old aliens. As the kids kept swimming, they stumbled upon a sunken ship. As they explore it, Maddie spots something glowing on the sand as she picks up a gold coin. "Whoa! Check this out!" "And check this out!" Dan spoke out as they look at a tunnel that is sucking in water like a vacuum. "I'm willing to bet my watch that's the monster's lair." "Are you sure about that?" "One way to find out!" Normie grins out as both boys drags Maddie into the rapids as she screams, hanging on as the trio were pushed at fast speeds through the tunnel.
After being tossed and turn, the kids surfaces into a hidden cavern as they gazes around. "Looks like a normal cavern to me, guys." "But I was sure this where the monster is?" Dan mumbles out in confusion. Maddie then pulls out the coin she found as Normie notices. "By the way, does this coin have anything to do with what is going on here? I found it in the wreckage, looks important." "Hey!" Normie grabs it as he examines it. "This reminds me of something from 'Beast beneath the sea'!" "What?" "Something about gold… or a treasure…" "How can you forget about something from your favorite movie?!" Normie shrugs out. "It's hard to remember everything about it when you have different favorite movies." "Let's try the Legendex." Normie decides to bring it up on his suit's computer as just then, Dan felt the water getting cold, just like Stephan said before. "Uhh… Guys! The water just got cold." "I'm searching… Give me a sec." Dan decides to slap down on the Omnitrix, turning into Water Hazard as he dives to investigate. "Well.. Hurry! Dan's gone Water Hazard and I'm getting a little worried…" Maddie shivers out as Normie found something!" "Bingo! The Legend of the Leviathan dates back 3,000 years. This sounds promising." Suddenly, Water Hazard screams from underwater as a large shadow passed beneath them. "DAN!" The kids quickly follows after the large shadow as Maddie quickly fires a tracking device from her left wrist, latching on the creature.
The kids managed to make their way out of the cave as they look all over for there friend. "Where did he go?!" Normie activates his tracker as the red dot indicated there friend's location. "This way!" They kept swimming as fast as they could, trying to find there friend. As they swam over some coral, they were shocked and scared a huge, green scaled, see serpent monster, floating in front of them. "Uh… Normie? Does the monster from your movie look anything like that?!" "Nope! I told you it was a giant, 1-eyed squid, not a sea serpent!" The Monster growls as it notices the 2 kids, floating in front of them. "Maybe if we stay still, it will ignore us." Unfortunately, for the blonde boy, the monster roars and sucks them into it's mouth as they screamed on top of their lungs.
The 2 tweens managed to recover and activates there flashlight, revealing the pinkness innards of the monster. "Isn't the paranormal cool, Maddie?" "You're joking, right?" The 2 starts walking around, trying to figure out where they are when they spotted Dan. "DAN!" "Guys!" They all hug as they chuckle. "Dude! We were looking for you!" "Yeah… When I was investigating as Water Hazard, I ran into the monster and tried fighting it, but it was tougher then it looks and swallowed me whole. I just recently timed out." Just then, a man appears, wearing a diver suit as well. "Please tell me this isn't the 'rescue squad', you mentioned?" "Oh! This is Lance, found this dude wondering around in here." "Well, now we just need to figure out a way to get out of this hulking monster!" Normie ponder out as he comments. "Or at least, try and remember how 'Beast beneath the sea' ends?" "Everyone disappears at the end of that movie." Lance deadpans as the blonde kid exclaims with a grin. "Oh, yeah! What a great ending! Uh… for a movie! Going with a different option in real life, though." The beast then roars as it shook itself, making Maddie stumble until Dan grabs her. "Careful! Don't fall down there! That's the monster's stomach! You fall down there and you're toast."
After settling down, Normie pulls the Legendex back out as he looks up the monster. "What does this thing what?" "It just want it's treasure." "Treasure?" Dan askes out. "According to legend, Leviathan, that's our host, is the guardian of an ancient treasure of a lost civilization that disappeared thousands of years ago. Respect it's quest and leave the treasure alone, the Leviathan will never harm you. But disturb it's quest and steal it's treasure, and the monster will hunt you down to the edges of the world." Dan ponders out at the info. "But why would the Leviathan attack us? We didn't take it's treasure!" Maddie had a relaxation as she took out her coin. "Maybe we did! Check this coin out, that I found at the sunken ship!" She throws it in the air, just as Lance grabs it and inspects it. "Hey! We found a chest full of coins like this on our dive." "Wait… Stephan never mentioned anything about the chest." Maddie spoke out as Dan frowns and snatches the coin back. "Clearly, he wants to keep the treasure to himself. Well, that treasure is going back to the Leviathan! We just need to figure out a way to get out." Just then, small pink jellyfish light things were crawling towards them as the humans were surprised. "What are those!?" "Best guess: There the monster's immune system! And we're the viruses!" Dan frowns at Maddie's words as he clicks the watch. "Well then, maybe it's time to meet my big friend!" FLASH
Dan's skin grew brown as muscles piled onto themselves as he grew in height. A tail grows from his spine as black spikes appears on his back as he feet and legs became thick as tree trunks. His head lastly changes as his eyes flashed green.
"Take this!" Humungousaur cries out as he slams his tail on the ground, blasting out a shockwave that blew the Immune system back, but caused the Leviathan to groan out in pain as it shook, giving Normie an idea! "That's it! Dan! Keep slamming out shockwaves! We'll give the Leviathan an upset stomach!" "Oh, I get it! Let's give this fella a nasty cause of indigestion!" He grins as he slamming his tail all over the place, with the sonic vibrations blasting all over and making the monster in intense pain! After a bit, the monster burps them out sending them flying high into the air and splashing down in the sea. They managed to surface and gasped in air as Humungousaur kept struggling to stay afloat. "What is with you?" "I'm over 700 pounds of muscle! I need to flail to keep afloat!" He cries out, but luckily times out. "Can't believe I'm saying this, but thank goodness you timed out early!" The noticed the boat and swims towards as they saw Stephan checking on the chest. "I believe you have something that belongs to the Leviathan!" Maddie frowns at the man as he covers the chest and sits on it. "I don't think so. And nothing you kids can make me change my mind." Normie then notices the monster raising up from the sea as he points at it, making all eyes divert on the beast. "Uh… I think HE would like a few words!" The beast roars out as Stephan backs away in shock and fear, making Dan uncovers the chest as he and his friends pushes the chest to the edge. "Hey, big guy! We have something that you want! Is this it?!" The beast widens it's eyes as it roars out in response, making the kids push the chest into the ocean as the monster dives after it, getting his treasure back at last.
The cloud over the town clears up as the team overlooks the sea from the docks as Normie kept his stun laser on the 2 treasure hunters in case they try something. "I don't get it? We never felt this bittersweet after a paranormal victory. So… why are we feeling it this time?" "Well… It's hard to give up a treasure like that. I should know, I once wanted a ultra-rare trading card, but I to give it up to save a life." Maddie smiles as she took out the golden coin. "Kept this! I'm sure the Leviathan won't mind if we keep this a souvenir of our trip." Just then, some water splashes on the girl as they glanced to see said monster raises only halfway, narrowing his eyes at Maddie as he gestures with his left front leg to give the coin back. "Okay… Here!" She chucks the coin in the paw as the monster smiles, diving down. "Huh… You know, for a monster that doesn't speak at all, he's surprisingly smart." Normie comments as Dan shrugs. "Who know?"
The kids were lounging around in beach clothes and chairs as they relax in Monta Carlo for a while. Just then, some Knights came up to them. "Well done, Squire Tennyson and friends." They gesture to a large boat as it carries the Leviathan out of the water. "We're transporting the Leviathan to a hidden ocean lair, so it can guard the treasure in peace." The boat sails off as the knights left. "Well… guess we do nothing but kick it back here!" "Best weekend ever!" "Ditto!" The 3 kids clank there sodas as they chill for a relaxing weekend.
