This is my take on the Harry Potter series where Hermione is a little more true to the original.

Hermione is brilliant in most subjects, but in the area of romance she is out of her depth. It's sixth year, and Ron is treating her horribly. Then Lavender abruptly claims him as her boyfriend. Are these events being driven by teenage angst, or could there be other forces at work? Amidst the turmoil and pain, Hermione receives unexpected help, and learns about life and love.

Fifteen months in Azkaban Prison following the Chamber of Secrets fiasco leaves Harry Potter less than interested in being anybody's hero, and thanks to his psychotic friends, unreliable allies, persistent enemies, prophecies, tournaments, war, politics, magic insanity, and the perils of true love, it'd be a wonder if any of us remained sane. Still, it's the only game in town…
