Ginny shuddered as the events of last night played in her mind.

Last night they had lost the best Headmaster Hogwarts had ever had. Dumbledore had died. The most powerful wizard in the world was swiped away by the storm of death and nothing could save him, not even his magic.

His death had left behind a mysterious silence which was so mighty that it could not be broken by the wails and the cries of his admirers and lovers . The silence seemed like a warning , an indication of the arrival of a storm . A big storm.

She gulped away the lump forming in her throat and silently made her way in the halls of the Hogwarts Express as they marked the end of the year by their departure. Harry, Hermione and Ron were sitting in a different compartment, not with her.

She found it hard to shrug off the feeling that was settling over her that something really big and bad was coming their way and it was going to make things worse for her especially in the absence of Harry .

All the words of explanation expressed by him had seemed quite vain at first when he had said that they were not going to be in the same relationship as they were in because whatever he was doing and whatever he was going to do was dangerous and tge people who made it dangerous for him were not going to leave anyone involved with him in anyway. No matter how hard she had tried to convince herself that whatever it was its meant to be and things cannot always not be in her favor, but she couldn'thelp but get genuinely annoyed . Life was bound to bring her good for once or so she thought.

She did not know where she was going until she bumped her head gently against a compartment door. She pushed it open and mindlessly sat on an empty seat as she heard the sound of what seemed like a book falling on the floor. She looked up to see a boy who seemed like a fifth year graduate like her dressed in muggle clothing which she recognized as a black jacket and dark blue jeans, picking up the book with a slightly annoyed expression. He did not look at her but instead chose to straight away get back to the book he was reading. "I'm sorry I didn't notice you " she said , trying to sound apologetic. "It's alright . " He answered blankly looking up from the book for just once. He looked deblidated, as if had not slept but seemed to have been managing quite well with it at the moment . The train entered a dark tunnel , making the passenger's inside dive into melancholy darkness.

Ginny looked at the boy again. His complexion was moderately fair. His face seemed like of a person who had recently recovered from jaundice but she could not say his features were out of place and hence he didn't seem ugly to her. She could not the white in his eyes at all for a while in the darkness.

The train took its refuge again under the azure roof of the sky where the sun resided as well and it was all lighted again .

"What are you reading?" She asked sounding pleasant .

"Sherlock Holmes and the Valley of Fear " he answered finally looking up at her and closing the book with a snap.

A long silence settled over the place as she didn't know at all how to constitue a conversation and the history could prove it . She noticed a bag in his hands with small initials C.W painted on tge corner of it .

"What do they stand for , those initials?" Ginny asked silently . "Well what do you think they stand for ?" He asked looking out of the window expressionlessly.

"Well I suppose... maybe " Ginny stuttered but before she could say anything else he said- "Maybe it's my bag so they stand for my name ?"

"Yeah maybe . What is it anyway?" Ginny asked again.

"It's Charles Walters . " he answered.

"Nice to know . What your parents do? They're purebloods?" Ginny asked. "No. Both my parents are Muggleborns so obviously that's not pure enough. My mother's a healer at St. Mungo but she's sick , she's been really sick for a while so she took off from work . My father works at the mynistry. He's an Auror but he never returned from the mission he was sent to in Iran since they captured him there back when I was three. But the people at the mynistry they have ensured mother that he's not dead and they'll recruit so it's not easy to decide whether to have a funeral afterall or not. Anyway " he said quietly and opened his book again. "I'm really sorry ..." Ginny started but then she heard Luna calling for her from outside so she left the compartment and did not get a chance to see this boy again for the rest of the journey.
