Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V - Ending Redux

I, like many did not like the ending to Arc V. So I thought I'd do something about it, and upload my own version. This takes the events that happened in the last 8 episodes of Arc V after the duel with Zarc, and then changes and expands upon them. The duels will contain anime versions of cards as well as fan made ones too. Now contains redux 2 from chapter 17 onwards.

Chapter 4 - The dragon of ruination

(Before Zarc's return)

"Akiza Izinski. Our top student here at Queen's Duel Academy. The other girls here love her. They've taken to calling her the Queen of Queens. She's come a long way since coming here. A perfect winning streak, and has done nothing but improve since taking to the roads to..." "That's enough." Two figures stand in the shadows of the bleachers watching the aftermath of a duel. Akiza takes the lead as she defeats her latest opponent. A crowd of girls surround her, giving her their praise. One of the figures watches this closely and nods. "She's the one." He says before walking down the steps to approach the field. The cheers of the girls get louder as he approaches, still not noticing him.

"Akiza, that was amazing, as always." "Your Rose Dragons are so pretty, and powerful." "What's your secret?" Akiza's eyes light up as the girls near worthship her. She smiles, holding her chest, feeling a warmth from them. "Akiza Izinski!" The girls, and Akiza turn to see the figure, revealing this to be Jack Atlas. The girls scream louder as Jack approaches Akiza. "Oh my god! It's the King!" "That blonde hair and those cold eyes, my king!" Jack and Akiza stand in silence as they look into each other's eyes, "I want you." Jack says, much to the other girls gasping in surprise. "I'm sorry?" Akiza remarks, confused. "I want you...to succeed me, as King."

(Present)

Jack and Akiza look up towards the scarlet red duel runner, and its rider. The rider scratches their cheek as he looks down on them with manic eyes, and a twisted smile. "I am the king of Shooting Stars. Yusei Fudo!" Their voice echoes for the ruined city. The name causes Jack's eyes to widen, his voice almost gasps as he smiles, "Y...Yusei…?" Akiza looks to the King with equal parts confusion and concern. "Do you...know this man?" Jack's expression hardens, his eyes narrow to a cold gaze as he answers her, keeping his eyes on Yusei. "I know of him. Years ago, during my ascent to the throne as King. In the commons, there was a team of duellists known as Team Satisfaction. Only two duellists, both said to be powerful, and to be feared."

The air around Jack starts to cool down, and comes to a deep chill. "They were criminals. Known for causing riots against security to the point that innocent lives were put in danger. They showed no mercy. Not to anyone. One of those duellists was Yusei Yudo. The man before us." "Idiot! We were trying to save the commons. In war, taking losses is part of it." Yusei calls back, his voice filled with hate, yet his expression still housed his twisted smile. "I never heard of them. Were they caught by security?" Akiza asks. "No. They didn't need to." Jack remarks. Yusei's smile starts to warp itself into gritted teeth, his grip tightens on his runner. "During one of their riots, a good park of the commons was destroyed, and was said to have taken both duellists out. It's truly remarkable that one of them stands before us. Or it's a terrifying display of Zarc's power."

"Enough!" Yusei screams as he revs his runner. The back wheel destroys the rumble he stands upon. Through the dust cloud, he cuts through the smog, and passes both duellists. They look back to see him behind them, helmet on his head. His predator eyes pierce through the cracked visor. "You two are here to destroy the pillar. The only way to do so is to beat me! Now are we going to duel, or not?" Jack revs his runner in response to the duellists burning passion, "Akiza! This will be your last test to prove you can succeed me!" "Right" she answers him with a thunderous roar from her runner. "Then come and get me!" Yusei dashes past the pair again, this time they both follow, trying to match his speed.

The trio race around the remains of torn down skyscrapers. "The first one to turn this corner makes the first turn!" Yusei remarks, already ahead of the pair. "So be it!" Jack engages the turbo on his runner, the back of his runner letting out a burning explosion that pushes him through the rubble. Yusei looks back to see him gaining on him. "I won't make it too easy for you." Yusei slams the back of his bike into the ground, kicking off shards of rock and concrete. His back wheel fires it like a slingshot at the king like a weapon. A shard slashes Jack's arm, cutting him. As his body reacts, Yusei once again has the lead, and takes the first corner as his own.

"Looks like the first turn is mine!" Yusei draws his starting hand, Akiza follows, overtaking the injured Jack. Jack regains his bearings, and catches up with the others. "He plays dirty? I should be careful." Akiza thinks to himself, looking over the cards in her hand.

"I'll start off my turn with the spell card, Tuning. I can add 1 Synchron monster from my deck to my hand, then mill a card from my deck." A random card from Yusei's deck pushes itself out, and he takes it. "I add Junk Synchron to my hand." His deck shuffles itself, then he sends the top card to the grave. The card sent to the graveyard was Speed Warrior. "I now normal summon Junk Synchron from my hand." Yusei summons his added card, a small orange robot. "With its effect, I can revive a level 2 or lower monster from my grave. I summon Speed Warrior to the field in defence mode!" From a small portal that opens, a fast, slender warrior bursts through onto the field.

"Now activate the field spell, Synchro's Domain." The sky starts to darken as the field spell alters the world. Jack comments to Akiza, warning her, "Be on alert. He's summoned a tuner as his first move. He's preparing something." Yusei looks back, his smile returned, "Right you are King, I use my two monsters to perform a Synchro Summon!" Junk Synchro turns itself into stars to merge with Speed Warriors. "I turn my level 3 Junk Synchron, with my level 2 Speed Warrior! Arise from ruins, and add to the pile! Level 5! Junk Ruin Warrior!" From the starlight, comes a blue mechanical warrior with red eyes and a large arm. The other has a chain wrapped around it.

[Junk Ruin Warrior Level 5 Dark Warrior Synchro ATK 2300]

"When I synchro summon, the effects of Domain activates, burning both of you with 100 damage times my monster's level, then increases my monster's attack by that damage." A dark cloud engulfs the warrior, before it absorbs itself into them. The warrior discharges an erratic thunder that strikes both duellists. "This pain...it feels too real!"

"I'll end my turn with 3 cards face down from my hand. Try and catch up, you two." Yusei speeds on ahead, looking back at the others as they adjust myselfs from the attack. "Oh, I should mention. Domain also works both ways. So when you summon a monster, I will burn too."

"Is that a challenge?" Akiza asks, drawing from her deck as the first move. "I normal summon White Rose Dragon." Akiza summons her first monster, a small dragon covered in white rose petals, and thorns. "When normal summoned, I can special summon Roxrose Dragon from my hand too." She smalls another of these dragons, with pink petals. "When this one is special summoned, I can add a card that lists Black Rose Dragon to my hand. I choose this one." Akiza adds a trap card from her deck to her hand, displaying it to be seen.

[White Rose Level 4 Dark Dragon ATK 1200]

Jack starts to feel suspicious. "Why would he tell us about his spell card now? Is he toying with us, or is there more too it?" Akiza starts to speed up, as her monsters are converted to stars, "I turn my level 3 Roxrose to my level 4 White Rose!" "Akiza wait!" Jack calls out but it's too late. "With deadly thorns, and chaotic beauty, soar! Level 7! Bloom Black Rose Dragon!" Akiza summons her ace monster, a large crimson dragon of rose petals and thorns.

[Bloom Black Rose Level 7 Fire Dragon Synchro Tuner ATK 2400]

"I'll now use the effect of Synchro's Domain! I'll burn you with 700 points of damage as my dragon is level 7!" The same clouds engulf the Rose Dragon before being absorbed. The dragon's petals burst off in roaring flames hitting Yusei and Jack, much to Akiza's surprise. Both duellists are hit by the flames.

"Didn't I tell you already?" Yusei starts laughing. "My spell works both ways, which means when you summon a Synchro, your partner will take the hit too!" Akiza looks back at Jack, slowing herself down to meet him, "Jack! I'm sorry! I didn't think..." Jack holds his hand up, "Forget it. I was prepared for dirty tricks. At least now we know what we're to deal with. Continue your turn, my successor." He says, smiling with the successor. Akiza nods and speeds up, "I activate Bloom Black Rose Dragon's effect. I can banish 1 Plant monster, or Rose Dragon from my grave to negate the effects of one of your monsters and reduce its attack to zero." The Rose Dragon extends its thorns like tentacles to wrap around the warrior.

"Nice try Witch!" The blue warrior starts to swing the chain in the air before wrapping it around the Rose Dragon tight, cutting the thorns. "I chain with Junk Ruin Warrior's effect. I can once per turn negate the effects of one of your monsters, and switch it to defence. And then, if it's a synchro, it's defence becomes zero." The dragon kneels, trapped in the chains.

[Bloom ATK 3100 - DEF 0]

"I set 2 cards from my hand face down, and end my turn..." "During your end phase I activate the trap, Damned Punisher. During the end phase, if a synchro monster didn't attack, the turn player takes 500 damage." Akiza's turn is brought to a close as she gets hit by another bolt of lightning.

[Akiza LP 3500 - 3000]

Jack catches up, passing Akiza. Yusei sees him approaching and slows down. "Yusei..." Jack says, keeping his narrow eyes on him. "Jack...are you going to satisfy me?" "Watch me!" Jack draws for his turn. "I normal summon Red Resonator. Because I did so, I can special summon Red Warg from my hand but I have to half its attack." Jack summons two of his red monsters, a demon and a wolf.

[Red Resonator Level 2 Fire Fiend Tuner ATK 600]

[Red Warg Level 6 Fire Fiend ATK 1400 - 700]

"I activate the spell, Red Magnet. It's a continuous spell card that becomes the target of any of your card effects. So your Warrior won't lay a hand on my dragon." A red aura surrounds Jack's body. "Now then, I tune my level 2 Resonator to my level 6 Warg!" The two monsters turn to burning stars as they become a starlight of red. "My soul, my passion, my life! Level 8! Scarlet Red Dragon Archfiend!" Born from fire, the red daemon's dragon appears onto the field with a roar that tests the strongest of bravery.

[Scarlet Red Dragon Archfiend Level 8 Dark Dragon Synchro ATK 3000]

"My my, what a beast. It's truly a dragon of vast destruction." Yusei remarks, "Although it's nothing, compared to mine." He thinks to himself. "I activate the effects of Synchro's Domain to burn for 800 damage." Akiza's eyes widened, "Is he willing to burn me back? Wait, no. He's playing something, I know it." She thinks to herself. Red Dragon absorbs the smoke, but before it could burn anything, "I activate a trap from my hand, Red Restrictor. I can activate it from my hand because Red Dragon is on my field. I negate an effect that would inflict burn damage, and instead it doubles my monster's attack power." The stray strings of fire converge on the dragon, raising its power.

[Red Dragon ATK 3000 - 6000]

"I activate my Dragon's effect. I will destroy every monster on the field with less attack than itself." Scarlet dragon's fist absorbs the flames in its body before slamming it into the ground to destroy all monsters in play. Yusei remains silent until the flames reach his warrior, "I activate my trap, Call of Ruination! When a card effect is activated that would destroy a card I control with Ruin in its name, I can negate it." The flames are put out faster than they were created. "What!" "There's more. I can now special summon from my extra deck a Ruin or Ruination monster and it's treated as a synchro summon." The sky starts to darken more, yet the clouds disperse. The ground starts to rumble and quake as stars fall from the sky and into the ground below. "Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! Level 8! Stardust Ruination Dragon!"

Bursting from the ground, Yusei summons his own ace monster, a dragon in silhouette, and reason for the decay around them.
