Okay, I'm going to operate under the assumption that my Trauma Center OCs were not well received on DeviantArt.

I'm not going to say that they are HATED, but I'm assuming that no one cares about them. I can't say I blame anyone. While I don't mind OCs, I'm not a huge fan of OC Centric fanfiction. There are exceptions, of course, but I mostly read fanfiction for the canon characters.

On the other hand, the readers on fanfiction.net seemed to really like them, so I am pleased to announce that both Jessie and Tim have survived the initial test drive! This means that you'll be seeing both of them again.

She is Victor’s younger sister and just as much of a genius. Just like her brother, she’s quick to loose her patience with people, but she is a lot more outgoing than he, though that’s not really saying much. She is very into her career, but in her spare time likes to read and tend to her small garden. She’s currently working to see how climate patterns and changes are going to affect agriculture, so while she does garden mostly for her own enjoyment she can still feel some what close to work.

Jessie also loves Victor more than anyone else in the world. One would not be able to guess just how close they are as brother and sister due to their seemingly detached and indifferent mannerisms towards each other and those around them, but they care for each other deeply.

Note: I did not draw the portrait of Jessie. It was a fanart prize I won for a fanfiction contest. She's pretty close to what I pictured in my mind, so kudos to PreseatheKitsune for the line art and Picup for coloring. Thanks again!

Fanfiction Pet Peeves-

1. Mary Sues – these little buggers have ruined the name of well crafted and interesting original characters!

2. Poor use of grammar and spelling – I am no English teacher and I do not expect perfection from everyone. We are human and humans make mistakes. However, there is a difference between honest error and a blatant disregard for the language. If you’re old enough to have gone to grade school, you’re old enough to write a sentence using proper spelling, grammar and structure. It really isn’t that hard.

3. Character bashing – So you don’t like a character? That’s perfectly fine. No one said you had to love him or her, but please spare the rest of us from your need to bash this character.

4. Atrocious Summaries - The worst summaries I've seen usually say "You hafta read to find out!"

I don't want to find out. I want to know what your stupid story is about now so that I'll know whether it sparks my interest or not. Usually those are indicators that it just isn't worth your time if they can't be buggered to explain it.

Also are summaries with beyond horrible grammar such as -

Summary: omfg! raven and bb get maried and have a kid but then they die oh no and the kid has 2 find out who killed them. sad storie with blood! lol rofl read and review!

For crying out loud! Would it kill you to use proper grammar and punctuation? If your entire story is like that, you can expect that no one is going to "lol rofl read and review". This ties in with my second peeve. Arg!

The Great Jet Grind Radio Insight Fic! - One shot I wrote a long time ago when I was still in high school for the video game 'Jet Grind Radio'. Those were good days.

The Third Day - Poem to be a co-companion to my fanfic 'Souls and Soldier Squirrels'. Both were based off of Conker's Bad Fur Day.

A Butt is For What? - Completely random one shot based off of Rurouni Kenshin. Man was I bored or was I bored? People seemed to enjoy it though.

I Wish - Sadly the only chapter fic I've finished thus far (TBWU will be the second though. I'll make sure of it!). Based off Rurouni Kenshin. I confess it is rather poorly written. I'm actually a bit ashamed of it, but as they say, you are your own worst critic.

Full Tank: The Extended Special Edition - Parappa the Rapper one shot. Nuff said I think.

Trinity Hearts - Kingdom Hearts one shot starring Donald and Goofy. Those guys don't get enough fanfic/fanart love. My tribute to them.
