In General

I love getting constructive reviews since it improves my writing skills, and I normally respond to reviews if you make a valid suggestion or point out something wrong, but a few have been a pain in the rear and unconstructively bashing me. Now, unlike most fanfics, I go through great lengths to justify things and make sure my content is readable, vivid, and understandable, even though I like the fighting portions most of the time and hate politics. I like happy conclusions, but I prefer reasonable ways to get there. I'm not so arrogant that I think that my fingers have typed out a masterpiece that surpasses the original and everyone else. That's insane.

Golden rule of all stories applies to my fanfics: Don't like it, don't read it. You can whine about it, but note they are your own opinions and if you can do better, go for it. It's how I got started.

This isn't canon. It's fanon. Sometimes the destination is a given, but the path taken is an unknown.

Challenge #1 - Fate Stay Night

Kariya Matou’s Legacy Challenge

We all know that Canon Shinji is someone who we’d all like to see murdered in most cases, but what about when he was younger? A chance meeting with Kariya Matou before the 4th Holy Grail War ends up with Shinji deciding to protect Sakura and fight for her in his deceased uncle’s stead…but in order to do that, he must become a magus, and accept all the pain and burdens that come with it.

Requirements

1.) Shinji cannot be verbally, physically, or sexually abusive towards Sakura.

2.) Shinji has to have a rivalry with Rin Tohsaka due to the fact that from his perspective she didn’t do anything to ease Sakura’s burdens or acknowledge her after their father and mother died. How it escalates or resolves itself is up to the writer.

3.) Shinji becomes a magus through a transplant of magic circuits from his father thanks to his mother having a Sorcery Trait ‘Inheritor’ and passing it on to him. As a side effect his body is weakened to the point that strenuous physical activity becomes difficult for him. After that he studies with his mother's surviving relatives and trains with them for at least a year.

4.) Shinji doesn’t use the Matou mysteries, meaning no Crest Worms.

5.) Shinji and Sakura have a Shared Mastership similar to the Archibald team in Fate Zero, with him holding the command seals.

Extra

1.) The Seven Servants are up to the writers.

2.) Team-Ups are up to the writers, if any.

3.) Pairings are up to the writer.

Challenge #2 - Danmachi x Bloodborne Crossover

Bell Cranel - Hunter

Bell Cranel dies as Aiz is too slow to reach him as the Minotaur strikes him down. Then suddenly he finds himself in a field of luminescent flowers, where an old workshop lays in waiting and a Doll awaits to be woken from its slumber. He is beckoned to hunt beasts and does so, and once the Doll wakens with the gaining of insight, Bell finds that he can return to the world he left behind at the moment of his death. Unable to die without finish the Dream but unable to be freed from the thoughts of Beasts haunting his dreams and the call of the Hunt, Bell Cranel slowly and surely becomes a Hunter...

Requirements

1.) No Realis Phase: Leaving aside my personal quandaries, Bell being able to go to the Dream to train up and unravel the points of Bloodborne should be enough to raise his stats without relying on his feelings for someone else. Instead, that skill can be swapped out with the one that keeps him tethered to the Hunter's Dream and allows him to come back to the moment of his death.

2.) Alternating Realities: Yharnam shouldn't be in their world, but rather one of its own. It shouldn't have characters visiting one from another because it makes things messy as you try to incorporate the different worlds together. Bell should be the only one who can visit between them.

3.) Showcase the Changes: If Bell is going through a different story than canon, the changes should be notable. He shouldn't just be a carbon copy of Bell if the Dream never happened. For example, Healing Potions from his world won't work on him after acquiring a taste for blood, but he can't let others drink the blood vials or they'll become a monster.

4.) Soul Color: Since to enter the Hunter's dream one must at least sign a contract to hunt in Flora's stead, it should dye Bell's soul the color of the paleblood moon. Freya may be disappointed that his soul has been colored, but it is a color she hadn't seen before and still peeks her interest somewhat.
