Greetings readers welcome this story will be a sequel to my previous story: Lessons in Love, so I recommend if you wish to understand this story you first read that one. As for this story and what it will be about.
This story takes place after the Fall of Beacon and during Ruby's tenure with the remains of Team JPNR. It will split into multiple storylines as much as I try but I want to try to add different shipping and pairings into the mix. I personally really like the Ruby x Jaune pairing and might try to work with that and add some complexity to everything. It will be rated M because of possible smut in the future but nothing is certain yet, I do like the idea of trying a bit more but it depends on where the story goes. Regardless let's get to the good stuff and start the story. Hope you all enjoy it.
The Fall of Beacon had been devastated, to put it lightly.
Everything from the complete chaos, the Grimm onslaught that seemed to only get worse. The death of Pyrrha Nikos and the devastating consequences that it had brought with it. Even know as she sat alone in her sleeping bag in the dark of night, it was all Ruby Rose could fathom.
Travelling with Jaune, Nora and Ren had given her a whole new perspective she hadn't had before. How they were trying to deal with Pyrrha's demise, it hit everyone hard, especially Jaune.
As for herself, Ruby had a hard time really dealing with everything that had occurred, considering what she had seen first-hand.
Pyrrha's demise.
She saw her friend get vaporized in front of her very eyes by the madwomen that was Cinder Fall, Ruby's reaction out of grief was a blur to her. Her uncle Qrow had told her about her special abilities but nothing more, not what it meant or how it suddenly triggered within that moment.
Her team was scattered. Blake had left, Weiss was taken away by her father and Yang was left at home in a crippling depression after losing her arm. Jaune's team was also scattered, losing Pyrrha left a giant void, easily their most powerful and noble member was gone.
And that all considering what they had gone through long ago.
In Ruby's eyes Pyrrha had suffered enough after she was put into a traumatizing catatonic state caused by a substitute teacher with a hidden agenda. As it turned out said substitute teacher claimed to have come from a world beyond Remnant and wanted to acquire the Schnee Dust Company's technology to find his cat which he had lost in this world.
The man, formerly known as Firen Carlisle, a name he had consequently stolen from an old retired Atlas professor, but real name Alector Nirvana had left quite an impact. Though he was arrested by General Ironwood and taken into custody he had left quite a strain on the student body.
Particularly her teammates Weiss and Blake.
Both women had fallen madly in love with them, Weiss going so far as promising him the tech he needed for a night of passion, at least that's how she told it. Weiss herself was deeply affected after he had put her into a catatonic state following the discovery of his actions. She had described the experience as having to fight her demons over and over again, a sentiment shared by the other two.
Blake however was most affected by the events surrounding "professor Carlisle", for her the situation was not so cut and dry as that he was purely evil. In her eyes she had seen a man who had accepted her immediately and without question despite her Faunus status, something that Blake had still hidden at the time. In her eyes the man was truly out of this world, which turned out to be literally.
It has been at least a year until Blake opened up to her team that she had been intimate with him. Her experience was not as much detailed but her team was curious to say the least. Ruby realized it was eating her up inside. Not so much that she had sex with the man, but the fact that his actions had cut so deep in her.
Ruby got up out of her sleeping bag and looked around. Spotting the sleeping forms of Nora and Ren in the same sleeping bag, but Jaune's was empty.
The young huntress got up and began to look around for her missing friend. If they had been attacked they would have probably woken up she reasoned. Jaune had been somewhat distant from them for quite a while. Not surprising after losing Pyrrha, it hit everybody hard, but none more so than him.
Ruby herself really took his suffering to heart. He had been her first friend at Beacon after all, and unbeknownst to everyone but herself, her secret crush.
She didn't know what had attracted her to him so much. Maybe it was his unrelenting resolve to move forwards despite the obstacles. He often fell down but always got up and Ruby admired that. He wasn't too bad looking either and certainly had grown more muscled and athletic thanks to Pyrrha's training.
Ruby never admitted to anyone how she secretly felt or how she stayed up at night sometimes thinking of him. After all it was her feelings to deal with and nobody needed to know.
As she walked closer into the forest she heard movements and a distant sound. Slowly but silently walking towards where she assumed the sound was originating from. She eventually found as she hid behind a large bush.
There Jaune stood, in full armor practicing his moves, the sound coming from a recording on a scroll. A recording of Pyrrha.
Ruby silently took in the sight before her. With big eyes she stared at her crush as he practiced his moves. The recording was playing in the background and Jaune was carefully taking in the instructions. Clearly he needed it, if not for the improvement of his capabilities for the emotional support it provided.
Ruby knew losing Pyrrha had hit Jaune harder than anyone else. She always suspected Pyrrha to have a crush on Jaune and although he never told anyone what happened the last time he saw her, Ruby assumed Pyrrha had admitted her feelings to him that night.
Ruby Rose was never a jealous type, especially not with someone so kind and strong as Pyrrha Nikos, but she couldn't deny that the slightest hint of jealousy went over her as she thought about what had happened that night between them, but alas Pyrrha was a friend that they had lost and that overshadow the small pitiful amount of jealousy she might have felt.
"I will always be here for you, Jaune" she heard the recording to speak.
While still hidden behind the thick bush she didn't take her eyes off of the warrior as he practiced, unaware of her presence. Unaware of how she was blushing madly at the sight of him.
Ruby felt an uneasiness between her legs, a wet spot. Surely not the first time she had this while looking at him but now it came suddenly out of nowhere.
She never let the feelings overtake her, she had too much on her plate when she was at Beacon, the events that had occurred with the false substitute teacher, followed by the Fall of Beacon much later didn't give her ample time to worry about pleasuring herself to the thoughts of the young warrior, her first friend at Beacon.
The boy who was becoming a man. The man who was decisive in defeating Nirvana.
Yang at school had looked at Jaune with pride after he had saved her and Ruby couldn't agree more. He truly was destined to be a hero in her eyes.
Maybe even my hero, Ruby thought.
She softly slid down to the ground with her legs spread, the uneasiness becoming a bit harder to ignore. She could hear Jaune walking behind the bush, he had not seen her yet.
Slowly but surely she placed her hands under her skirt and softly rubbed against her wet womanhood, a small moan eliciting from her mouth. She quickly covered her mouth with her other hand as to not alert Jaune to her presence.
Her mind drifted off to thoughts about the boy she had just spied on. Thoughts of him and her, or just off him. Embarrassed she quickly pulled her panties into place and got up only to see a small creature appear out of the bushes. A small white cat with a black spot on its forehead and big venom green eyes that pierced through the darkness, appeared and looked at her.
Phew! It was just a cat, Ruby thought relieved as she wiped her forehead of the sweat that had accumulated due to her self pleasuring session. She took a look again at the small creature and smiled at it as she turned her head.
Only to immediately look back at the cat in front of her.
"Wait…haven't I seen you before" she whispered as the cat tilted its head and looked at her curiously. Ruby felt a familiar feeling when she looked at the creature, like she had seen this cat before.
And then she suddenly realized it.
The cat seemed to feel it too as it instantly turned around and ran off, Ruby immediately gave chase behind it.
I know that cat!, Ruby thought as she chased the creature around.
The cat was fast and Ruby could barely keep as she brushed past various bushes and tree branches until the cat vanished from sight behind a bigger and larger bush. She turned into petals and blasted through the bush, coming face to face with a sigh she had not expected.
She saw the white cat running towards a giant tree, the figure of a man was standing against it and the cat jumped against the tree and then jumped upon the figure's shoulder. As the man stepped forward out of the shadow of the tree Ruby got a clear look at him and her face turned stone cold. Black hair with grey sides, wearing a simple black shirt and grey pants, his arms crossed and his eyes focused on her with the cat silently sitting on his shoulder, a slight smirk appearing on his face.
Ruby could barely believe it. But she was staring into the deep blue eyes of Alector Nirvana.
"Hello, Miss Rose."

So that was the beginning of my newest story and it immediately went into somewhat slight smutty action haha. I did not expect that when first writing this chapter but it sort of happened. But I have many ideas for this story and I wonder where it's going to go, if you like any input or have any ideas feel free to tell me about them. I'm very happy you all liked my previous story so I'm very excited to get started on this one. Bringing Nirvana back is a lot of fun and he is going to be a lot more fun in this sequel and we will get to see more of him and the mysterious people he works for.
