A sigh escaped Blake Belladonna's mouth as she was spread out on her bed in her old familiar bedroom.

Her return to Menagerie, to her old home and her family had been…surprisingly easier than expected. She was afraid to face her parents after abandoning them for the new White Fang under Sienna Khan's leadership. But upon entering Menagerie with Sun at her side and walking to their door, all she found was her parents relief at seeing her again, safe and sound and reunited at last.

As she stared at the ceiling of her old bedroom Blake couldn't help but reminisce about how all the events of the last few years had led her back here. Joining and falling in love with Adam, see his slow descent into hatred, her arrival at Beacon Academy, becoming part of a team, followed by a new ignited love for the mysterious new young teacher who turned out to be behind the mysterious sudden comatose status of a few of her fellow students, and then finally the devastating event that had been the Fall of Beacon.

Her reunion with Adam had caused her too much grief then she could deal with. With her partner Yang even losing an arm in the process trying to protect her. The grief had become too much for Blake. She had to go…

In the midst of her thoughts Blake recalled her steamy and passionate encounter with Firen Carlisle…or as he later turned out to be called, Alector Nirvana.

Regardless of his name, Blake had developed a weak spot when it came to the former substitute teacher at Beacon Academy, who as it later turned out had apparently come from a different world in search of his missing cat which he had lost here. It sounded like the plot of a cheesy movie but it had all been true, and the revelation of his true intentions had shattered Blake to a point of being unable to face the reality of the situation.

Eventually Firen…or Alector, honestly Blake often mixed the two names together because to her he had only been Firen Carlisle, the man who had unconditionally accepted her and had shown her what real affection was like, he was taken into custody by General Ironwood to be taken and questioned about his otherworldly technology. And in the wake of his capture Blake had been left even more broken then before, more so than when she was with Adam. With Adam she saw his disintegration from a passionate and noble force for change to a hateful and spite filled monster. With Firen she still saw that same man, she couldn't fathom that he was just as bad as Adam, she just couldn't and the conflicting emotions had haunted her for the rest of her time at Beacon.

It wasn't just the betrayal and revelation of who he really was? Just like the lessons he had taught, telling the students to always look at things from more than one perspective for things where never a simple as they may appear, Blake now applied these thoughts to him. Was he truly as bad as everyone now saw him? After all he literally crossed worlds just to rescue his cat, he was so dedicated to his companion that he was willing to go through any lengths to be reunited with her, even it meant putting people into a coma.

Maybe it was love blinding her but Blake could not conceive of him as evil. She still thought of him fondly, even after all this time.

She was interrupted out of her thoughts by a knock on her door.

Blake sat up from the bed to see her mother Kali Belladonna entering her room with a tray on which two steaming cups of tea where resting.

"Are you okay dear? You've been in here for a while" Kali said worried as she stepped forward and joined Blake beside her on the bed.

"Yes I'm okay mom I just…it's been a long journey" Blake replied. Her mother handed her cup and Blake happily accepted it.

"I understand dear. It couldn't have been easy, I do not mean to probe but…I feel there is more that is bothering you then you tell us" Kali said.

Blake didn't respond, just looking down at the cup of hot steaming liquid in front of her. Of course she hadn't told her parents about Carlisle, I mean how could she? First she went off with Adam and they knew what he had turned into, how could she possibly tell she had fallen for another guy who still made her feel conflicting feelings.

"You know you can tell us anything dear? Your father and I, we love you and we will never look at you any different."

A smile appeared on Blake and she looked up at her mother, who smiled at her in return.

"I know mom it's just…it's complicated" Blake said softly taking a sip from her tea, a relaxing feeling coursing through her.

"I think considering all our family has been through we are far past complicated" Kali said half-jokingly, causing her daughter to laugh with her.

"I suppose so" Blake said.

Her hand clutched tightly around her cup as she tried to find the right words to say.

"While I was at Beacon I….I met a guy and…well," she felt a knot in her stomach at recalling the memories, they met her with a mixture of happiness and dread.

Kali placed a hand on her daughter's shoulder for support "it's alright if you don't want to tell me this now Blake, I can see that whatever it is it left a big impact on you."

"It's okay mom it's just hard to talk about but…he…he found out what I am, and he…he accepted me. Without hesitation, without prejudice, he was…," Blake paused for a moment "out of this world…"

As if by design upon saying those words the door to her room flung open and the Monkey Faunus Sun Wukong jumped through it, causing a surprised Blake and Kali to look at him with confusion.

Sun upon realizing he had barged in unceremoniously tried to remain calm but his scroll was in his seeming twitching hand.

"Sorry for barging in but Blake you need to see this" he said as he showed both mother and daughter his scroll, a news bulletin seemed to be playing on it.

"We hereby inform you what has been suspected for a long time but finally confirmed by General James Ironwood himself. The rumors are true, the criminal known as Alector Nirvana has indeed escaped custody. The fugitive in question had previously impersonated a teacher and infiltrated Beacon Academy where he put three students into a dangerous comatose state. We do not know for how long he has escaped, but we advise you caution when coming to face with this man, he is very dangerous!"

As the news reporter spoke a photo of Alector Nirvana appeared on the screen.

The sound of a cup shattering on the ground was what followed as Blake's eyes widened and her feelings overwhelmed her, leaving her in shock and tears as her worried mother said beside her, begging for her to answer.

With Team RJNR…

As soon as night had fallen the team had fallen asleep after the events of the day, too tired after their encounter with Leana and Nirvana's subsequent explanation of his origins. The man had soon fallen asleep and Ruby once again tied his hands together before she and the rest of the team decided to fall asleep.

But as he heard the light snoring coming from the sleeping group, Nirvana opened his eyes and smiled. He whistled softly and in moments Milena was behind him, once more biting through his restraints as she had done before. After freeing her owner of his restraints she immediately went up to him, nudging her head against his, a sentiment he returned.

"Thank you dear, now then…" he said as he grabbed the device from his pocket, the one that Milena earlier had snatched from Leana before she escaped. Milena eyed the device with curiosity.

Nirvana smiled and petted her on the head "you remember this device don't you Milena. It's a Memory Checker it allows me to see through people's memories, makes it much easier to get to the center of things don't you think, now…"

His voice trailed off as he silently stood up and walked over to the sleeping forms of Team RJNR. All of them where deeply asleep, Nora and Ren were sleeping close to each other and Ruby was sleeping with Crescent Rose to her. And then there was Jaune, deeply asleep.

Apparently all his angry and bottled emotions made the young warrior tired.

Time for a little payback, Nirvana thought as he slowly crouched over the sleeping for of Jaune Arc, placing the small device on top of his head softly as it gave of a small light, the screen flickered, showing a small percentage going up from zero to a hundred in a few seconds.

"Seems they upgraded it" Nirvana said to himself as he moved away from the sleeping warrior back to his own spot where Milena sat quietly.

As the man said down he gestured for Milena to sit on his lap which the cat did without question, softly settling into the man's lap and leaning against him.

"Let's see what goes on in Mr. Arc's mind" Nirvana said playfully as Milena snickered in agreement as he turned on the device. A small floating screen appeared before them and showed off Jaune's memories as if they were a movie.

Many memories from his time at Beacon came up. From his attempts to woo Weiss, to his bullying experiences with Cardin Winchester, to even appearing at the school prom in a dress. Milena snickered at that sight, clearly showing her dislike for the young warrior.

"Calm Milena, it's just a man in a dress, that's not even the weirdest thing I've ever seen" Nirvana said as he softly petted her forehead, an apparent look of disinterest glossing over his face as he looked at the memory of Jaune dancing in a dress alongside his team.

"You gotta give it to him, the man has guts" Nirvana said begrudgingly as he scrolled to multiple memories, most of them uninteresting, even the one of him kissing Pyrrha Nikos was quickly scrolled past with only a "I knew she was into him" comment added, alongside another patronizing remark about how Jaune was completely oblivious to the woman who were actually interested in him.

That was until he stumbled upon a particular memory.

"What is…" his words where cut off as he saw the scene unfold on the small screen and he quickly covered Milena's eyes in response. As soon as he saw the scene of the memory play out a smirk appeared across his face.

"Well well Mr. Arc, who would have thought, you and Goldilocks, I certainly did not see that coming" he said as he saved the recording with a smile before looking over the sleeping team and once more softly stroking Milena over her forehead.

"Well my dear girl it seems we stumbled upon quite the discovery, let's see how well we can make use of it."

A/N: first of all my apologies the chapter is a bit shorter than usual my days have become quite a bit busier. But aside from that what did you think of the ending of this chapter, maybe some of you will recognize where this is going (if you have read my other stories) I certainly find it loads of fun to tie these things in, but let me know what you guys think and if you know what I'm hinting towards with the ending of this chapter ;)
