What Matters
Because: I don't believe Roxas really heard that last part.
"I would!" Axel yelled, when he had been planing to whisper. Chaught up in the moment. Then, realizing what he had said, fliniching at the volume.
Roxas froze, shocked. "A-Axel."
"Don't make me say it again." Axel tried to mock, only for it to sound self-depecating.
Selfish
Summary: She may be willing to trade her own life for Sora's-for Roxas-but how could she do the same to Roxas? Or, Xion reacts a little differently.
"If you return your memories to him, then you will disappear." Namine explained, sadly. "In exchange for not having your own memory, you're connected to others memories."
Xion listened, intentively, sitting across the table.
"So when you disappear, no one will remember you. There won't be a 'you' to remember." It was hard for Namine to tell her this, she could tell. "For all the power I posses." And Xion appreated the information. Even if it wasn't new, that some part of her...had already known. "I can't keep one piece of the memory called 'you' connected."
Xion examined her hands, for a moment... Then gave her fellow Nobody a determined nod. "I know. I'm ready. Otherwise I wouldn't be here."
For Roxas, who was growing weaker every day. For Axel, who was trying so hard not to choose, but would soon not have a choice. For her Best-Friends, who had given her so much. Who deserved so much more than the friendship of a puppet.
For Sora, who deserved to wake up. The Hero, that the worlds needed so much.
"Roxas, will have to return, too." Namine continuued.
"No!" Xion yelled, not even realizing as she slammed her fists against the table, as she stood up.
No... Not him.
"I may be willing to sacrifice myself," Xion said to herself, determination filling her, "but I won't allow my friends to get hurt!"
"But Sora..."
"Sora wouldn't want this!" Xion argued, not the Sora she was remembering.
