Dan 10 Reboot S2 EP 20: Side Effects

New Intro:

The screen is black, only for a bolt of green lightning to makes a flash of white light as upbeat music is heard. Side-by-side via split screen Dan and Hotaru stands, smirking at the camera as a black with green bubbles background is on Dan's side as Black with purple stars was on the girl's. They both raised their left/right arm, and both transforms as Dan emits a flash of green light while Sailor Saturn thrust her scythe high as black lighting surges through it.

"DAN 10!" "He's a kid and he wants to have fun!"

Wildvine grins with hands on hips as a close-up of his face appears on the background while Sailor Saturn is next to him as a bolt of lightning comes down.

Heatblast flies across and freezes as the same thing happens to Four Arms, leaping out of an explosion.

"But when you need a superhero, he gets the job done!" "DAN 10!"

Shock Rock smashes his fists together, sending out waves of electricity as Sailor Saturn channel energy into her scythe and slashes at the 4th wall..

"With A device that he wears on his arm." "He can change his shape and save the world from harm!"

Dan poses with his Ultimatrix, just as headshots of Shock Rock, Water Hazard, Big Chill and Wildvine show up, one-by-one.

Cannonbolt was staring at Grey Matter, who hops along a bunch of platforms with the watch symbol on it as the round alien was confused. "When trouble's taking place."

Sailor Saturn was then running towards the screen. "He gets right in it's face!" "DAN 10!" Four Arms, Heatblast, XLR8 and Diamondhead's headshots shows up as well!

A green circuit board background is shown as 5 ultimate aliens shows up in a row as Dan was staring at the left side. The aliens are Diamondhead, XLR8, Cannonbolt, Four Arms, and Heatblast. "When lives are on the line."

The same thing happens with Sailor Saturn staring at the right side. The aliens are now: Big Chill, Water Hazard, Grey Matter, and Shock Rock, which is still in normal form. "It's hero time!" "DAN 10!" It ends up with Dan and Sailor Saturn, posing together as the aliens were side-by-side with them as well.

At an old apartment building on the edge of town, a wrecking ball was smashing it for demolition. "Being paid to smash stuff. Now that's a job!" The driver spoke out as he hits the building again, only for the foreman to notice someone in the building as he orders the others to stop. The person is hidden in the shadows, but it is a female with a tall, thin built. "Get out of my domain." She narrows her black eyes, but the men didn't budge. "Yeah right! Hate to break it to ya, lady. But this building is condemned by order of Mayor Mare." "Yeah! So move it, or lose it! This place is coming down, like it or not!" But the woman responds by smirking and snapping her fingers, making a giant swarm of hornets shows up to attack and grabs one of the men as the other runs away in fear. "HEY! Get these things off of me! Wait a sec! Aren't you that Queen Bee lady from the news?!" Queen Bee chuckles as she responds. "I was her. But to be honest, Queen Bee didn't really fit in with me. Just call me…" She steps out as the man is surprised at her new look!

She is now a humanoid Hornet, mutant that now has black insect eyes, her hair is now straight and is protected by a crown-like-structure. And a human like mouth with sharp teeth and mandibles. She has 2 antenna on her head as her body color is yellow, black and brown. Her legs are more insectoid as they have 2 toes and a back toe that are like heeled shoes. She has 4 legs sticking out under her arms, which are now brown and has 3 claws with spikes on forearms. She lastly has a large stinger as well. "Empress Hornet!"

On the streets of Downtown Canterlot, the sisters were chasing down a robber in a getaway car though the streets. Luna looks behind and exclaims. "There he is!" "Are you sure?" "Positive." Luna responds as as XLR8 passes them. The robber swerves through traffic as the went on the ran on the sides of the buildings. "Look out! Coming through!" He got back on the roads and speeds after the bandit. XLR8 rises after him through an intersection and slides under a bus, righting himself up as he notices a car trailer. He leaps on it and launches up the ramp. He lands behind the car and uses his claws at the trunk, slicing it off and making the cash flies out. "Some people just can't hold onto their money!" He said as he zooms up ahead and made a tornado, making the man cries out as he tries to avoid it, but was sucked up and crash near some other cars. As the drives rubs his head, the cops come as the man groans and hits his head on the wheel, making it beep. XLR8 smirks at a job well done and left, only to stop at a parked ice cream truck, getting an idea. "Well… I did stop the bad guy." He spoke out, opening the hatch to see boxes of ice cream. "NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" His grins with a wide smile..

"I'm telling you! Some fast dinosaur thing with wheels did this!" The man said as he was shoved in the cop car as the sisters watch.. "Where our nephew?" "Hmmm… Hot day? Long Chase?" I'm thinking…" Celestia gesture to the truck, making them walk over and opens the hatch to see Dan shivering with some wrappers around him. His skin is paler with red circles around his eyes and nose as some snot trails from it. "Are you okay, Dan?" Celestia got some sniffles and hand wipe in response. "I'm guessing: no?" Luna mumbles out.

Dan was lying on the couch back home with a thermostat in his mouth and a blanket on him. The device beeped as Celestia took it out and checks the stats. "Just as I thought, 101 degrees. It's official: You have a summer cold." "Sorry, Dan…" Hotaru mumbles out as she is now sporting a blue and white nurse outfit, courtesy of Rarity when she heard about how the 11-year old is taking care of her sick friend and, knowing she has a not-so-secret crush on the boy hero, made her an outfit she instants on wearing. "Hopefully, this will teach you not to snack in an ice cream truck with the door closed." Kate lightly scolds with cross arms and smirks as Dan sneezes in a handkerchief. Luna pulls out a first aid it and starts placing it's contents out. "Let's see… Cold tablets. State digestant. Cough suppressant. Hospital mask."

"I don't need that junk." "No, Dan! There for me and the girls! Once a bug breaks out, there no stopping it!" Dan groans out. "Why can't you just locked me away in a closet until I'm better?" "Can we do that?! Pretty please!?" Kate begs, wanting to finally get some alone time away from her brother. Just then, the door knocks, making Celestia opens it as Sunset walks in. "Hey! I just got your text, Principal Celestia. Me and Princess Twilight has talked about Dan's cold, and she said there was someone that could help." "Ummm…. Who?"

Dan was sitting in a witch doctor-like treehouse at Equestria's Everfree Forest. A zebra female with a mohawk mane and golden rings on her neck was examining him. "So… Zecora? How is he?" Princess Twilight questions. Dan sneezes loudly and sniffs with a groan. "A cold flu for young ones are always a bummer. Especially those that are trying to enjoy their summer. But fright not, oh, strange sick one. I know how this bug can be undone!" Dan mumbles as he rolls his eyes. "Ugg…. I don't what's more annoying for this headache: This cold or the rhyming Zebra?"

As Sunset and Dan exits the portal with a jar in hand, the girl spoke out. "Okay! That Zecora lady said that this is supposed to help with the common cold, but it only works on ponies. Not sure about humans." "Uggg... Can't we get a milkshake or something? My throat is killing me!" Dan complains as he rubs his throat. As the duo got in the Rust Bucket, with Celestia at the wheel, the woman drove off for Sunset's apartment through the city as she has more stuff for flus. "Don't worry! This stuff is supposed to coat your throat in a substance that numbs it, making no pain possible. According to Zecora." Dan sniffs the jar and gags at it's scent. "Is it supposed to smell like garbage mixed with stinky gym socks?!"

"Well, it's better than Max's idea. Which is a more disgusting variety that he calms that he got from a monk in Guangdong, China." The 2 gave her a weird look as she shrugs. "Max travels around when he was younger!" Just then, the RV came to a stop near a group of people as they noticed. "Looks important." Celestia comments as they all got out and see a woman around Celestia's age speaking to a crowd. She has light blue eyes and cream skin tone and has pink hair that is short and has a bang similar to Rarity's. She has small, librarian style glasses and is wearing a dark brown business suit with skirt, white shirt, matching heels and a light green handkerchief. "Ladies and gentlemen. I would like to thank you for listing to my 'Edge of Town Redevelopment' program. it's truly quite a change for greatness for our fair city."

"It's nice to see Mayor Mare, helping the city and it's people." "Wait... the Mayor's name is 'Mare'?" Dan glances at Sunset as she shrugs. "Don't look at me, I didn't pick her name. And before you ask, Twilight's world also has a mayor like her, running for Ponyville." "It is my dream to help the city thrive towards anything the future may hold. And this is just first step to making it come true." But just then a swarm of Hornets shows up and terrorizes the crowd, scaring them off as they screamed. The Mayor was confused and worried as she looks around as well, wondering what is going on. "Where did all these bugs come from?!" Celestia cries out as she ducks her head. Sunset notices Empress Hornet with wide eyes as she points at her, hovering with her bugs due to 2 large wings on her back. "Ask her!"

"More like a nightmare... You are not tearing down our apartment building! I have plans for that building as step one. Of city dominance!" The Mayor then realizes who he is. "Wait a sec! You're that nutjob who won't leave the building!" "Nice to know we made an impression" Hornet smirks as her antennae wiggles as a swarm captures the mayor and bring her up. "What are you doing?!" "Just bringing you home for dinner... you're the main course!" Her eyes widened at the statement in terror.

"Wait a sec, QUEEN BEE!?" Dan cries out at the bee lady's new form! Knowing it's hero time, Dan wipes his noise and activates the Ultimatrix. "This looks like a job for…. Ahhh…. Ahhh…" FLASH Dan turns into Diamondhead, but he was a bit paler with crystal dripping from his noise and a sort of weak look in his eyes. "Wait! Something's off with Diamondhead." "There's no time." He starts running after Hornet. He was suddenly stopped by a swarm of hornets as he glares out. "Want to do it hard? Fine by me!" He creates his hammers, only for them to have cracks all over. They had dived towards him with their stingers as he blocks and swings, only to be surprised at his hammers breaking into pieces at hitting a simple wooden crate as he backs off. "What? My weapons broke? They never break!" He then sneeze out a few shards, taking out few as they mostly dodge. They then combined their strength and lifts a man hole, chucking it at the alien.

The alien responds by slamming his hands on the ground, only for like 6 inches of crystal to raise up, not even close as the Manhole smacks Diamondhead down. "Okay…. I might be in trouble." "Why is Diamondhead acting like this? "Dan's cold must crippled Diamondhead's abilities and durability. With invulnerability gone, he can't do well in defending or use his constructs!" He then sneezes as he wipes some crystal snot off his noise as the bugs were gone, making the 2 humans glanced at him in worry.

Back at the RV, Dan is sitting in the back as he groans while Celestia hands him the cure. "Here." He chugs half down and was disgusted by the medicine. "Ugghh… And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse…." "Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Besides, I'm more worried about your transformations. Your flu must have spread to all your aliens! There's no telling on how they are affected. Or what they can do to your Ultimate forms." "Great. What's worst? The cold or the cure?" "Got something!" Sunset spoke from the front seat as Celestia checks on her phone. "That lady said something about knocking down an apartment building. Well, the only apartment left for demolition at the Edge of Town is at 4862 Hollow Shade Street." As Dan notices a hidden compartment between the seats, he sneakily hides the jar in it as he mumbles out. "What Aunt Celestia doesn't know, won't hurt me."

Mayor Mare was terrified as Black widow spiders crawls all over her, knowing how dangerous there poison is if they bite her. Please... don't hurt me." Hornet moves out of the shadows as she spoke. "Black widows... I wouldn't make any sudden moves if I were you. After I got thrown in jail, I decide to try a different approach with minions after I escape. So, I decided to upgrade myself with a more aggressive insect then the bee: The Hornet! Now, all my subjects are loyal to me as I am there ruler. They are more effective then humans. This building will be remolded into my new palace to which I will rule the city. And no one is evicting us!" She glares at the woman.

Meanwhile, the trio arrives at the old, rickety building. "Yeesh... what a dump." "No wonder they want to tear this place down." Dan adds to Sunset as Celestia spoke out. "Let's all stay together." They made their way inside as they walk down the empty, broken hallways, they only sound they hear is old creaking wood and the occasional plank falling off with dust. They slowly made their way as they avoid any holes in the floors. Sunset and Celestia went into a room as Dan walks off down the hall. Celestia notices a wall full of newspaper clipping about bugs and insects and interesting one about a woman scientist working with bees. "They have to be here, somewhere." Sunset spoke in disgust at a Hornet's nest. "Something tells me we're close by." "Wait... Where's Dan?" Sunset looks around and spot something huge in the shadows. "AAHHH! GIANT BUG!" She screams out as she backs way, only for the shadow to reveling a grinning Four Arms, bent down with a paler skin color with his upper hands making looka-like horns. "Real mature!" Sunset frowns as Celestia shakes her head. "I know... I need a good laugh." "HELP!" "That's Mare!" "I'm on it!" Four Arms responds by picking her them up in his arms, only to noticed disgusting hives under his armpit.

"EEW!" He sniffs his armpits and find them disgusting "That's just not right." Sunset groans in disgust. "It's your cold! It turned your hive into-" "Pust-filled blistering sacks of grossness!" "I can't help it, I'm sick!" "You're telling me." Sunset mumbles out. He then leaps up and smashes through the floor, finding the mayor as he lets go. "Mare! Are you okay?" Celestia spoke as she whimpers out. "Stop! Black widows." Just then, Four Arms sneezed all over the Mayor, coating her in alien snot, but also got all the spiders off of her. "Uhh... sorry? I have a cold." "That's... okay, Four Arms." Just as she brush the snot off of her, Hornet shows up on the rafters. "You're trespassing, fools." She then commands a ton of Hornets into a humanoid shape, the same size of Four Arms. As the alien was surprised, he was knocked back by a sudden attack!

Celestia then noticed the bugs were going to attack her next, making her leap out of the way as termites starts eating the wood below Sunset. "Termites!" Luckily, Mayor Mare was able to pull her to safety. "You want to be queen? Get ready to be crowned!" Four Arms snarls out as he charges at Hornet, only to stop as he was surrounded by hornets as they crawl onto him, stinging him all over. Although his super dense skin was able to prevent serious damage, they felt more like an annoying itch he just can't get rid of! "Ow! ow! Itchy! itchy!" He exclaims as he scratches all over and hops around, accidently falling and smashing one of the support beams. "What are you doing?! you're destroying my new palace!" Hornet cries out. Four Arms destroys the main support beam as the place starts breaking apart. "Four Arms! That's the main support beam!" "NO!" Hornets cries out as a swarm made a shield around her as the place was crumbling down. "We have to get out of here!" Mayor Mare shout out. "Too late!" Celestia spoke out loud as Four Arms noticed and shield his body over the 3, just as the building crashed down into a pile of rubble.

All was quiet in the debris until Four Arms lift a boulder off as all 3 people were safe, making the warrior crash on his back and groans as he times out. "Good thing I can't feel my head..." Dan groans out. As the group were recovering they noticed Hornet emerges as well. The Meta-human glares at theme, only to noticed the dead bugs near her, much to her horror. "No... No! NO! You will be sorry, Tennyson! I will exterminate Canterlot City!" She declare as she flew away. "This is weird, even by recent events that happened lately." Mayor Mare groans out as her friend comforts her. "Well, at least things aren't boring around here." Sunset smirks, trying to make a joke to lighten the situation as Dan checks on his armpits. "At least my hives are gone." "By the way... Where did Four Arms go? I wanted to thank him and those other alien heroes for protecting out city, lately." "I'll let him know, Mare." Celestia assures her. "Can you get home on your own?" Dan asked as she nods and walks away to recover from the event, leaving the 3 to deal with Empress Hornet. "Now, where did Queen Bee 2.0 crawled off to?" The girls thought about it as Celestia realizes one place. "There's only one way to 'exterminate an entire city.'"

The RV raced down a road to the Power Plant, hoping to stop her before it's too late! Dan was shivering as he rode shotgun. "Turn up the heat, Aunt Celestia! I'm freezing!" "It's already on, Dan. But you're shaking like an earthquake. Sunset! Get him more of the cure." "No! I mean... I just finished it! I'm sure Zecora's medicine will work, any second now." Dan spoke out while glancing off as Sunset spoke out from her phone. "Check this out! Hornets can ward off other, pesky bugs. They have stingers that are venomous they can be more deadly, due to their size. And Hornets can make their nest underground if they want to." "We don't need resumes on these things, Sunset! We need to smash them flat!" Dan spoke out as Sunset shot back. "I'm saying Hornets are some of the toughest bugs on the planet!. And unless another Ice Age comes around, A tanker of Pesticide, holding a bug barbeque or a rain storm to drown out these guys comes around, I'm not sure what to do." But Dan smirks at the barbeque and storm parts as he has 2 aliens that's the masters of fire and water! "Drown them out, huh? And I know just the chef…"

They made their way down a hallway, notching that all the workers have fled. As they kept going, a red light illuminates the area as an alarm went off, surprising them! "What's that? Is that bad?" "An alarm in a Power Plant? Of course it's bad!" Celestia spoke out. "She must be fooling with the controls! We need to get to the main computer!'" They all rushed down the hallway as a computer voice is heard. "Core temperature rising, approaching critical levels." They made it to the smoking control room to see smashed consoles. "She smashed all the controls. We need to shut the reactor down, manually." "But how?" Dan questions as the adult gazes out the window and points at a computer near the glowing, towering reactor core. "Just outside the reactor core, there's an override system for emergencies!" "I'm guessing that's something you learned when you're in school?"

Just then, Hornet enters the room. "Enjoying the front row seat, Daniel darling?" ""If this place goes nuclear, you'll be winded blown along with the place!" Dan exclaims as the woman smirks. "We don't think so..." Cockroaches starts covering all over her as they form into a humanoid figure that is as big as Diamondhead. "When the reactor goes critical, My subject and I will be all snug up while we rebuild this city from scratch. "Of course! Scientist believes that roaches are they only thing to survive a nuclear blast!" Sunset spoke out. "So, she is going to wear a bug suit to protect himself from the meltdown? In that case, I'll just give it a good cleaning!" FLASH

Sunset saw something off with the alien as she spoke to him. "Hang on! Heatblast looks different." The alien's orange fire is now replaced with blue as well as his magma core. "There's no time to question looks! That's Rarity's department. You guys shut down the reactor. I'll handle bugsy!" He charges and prepares to use his fire punches, only to get smacked back as Sunset and Celestia runs out. Hornet notices and sent some swarms after them.

As the girls kept running, Celestia looks back at the swarm of hornets. 'Remember the expression? 'Mean as a Hornet?'" Sunset looks at the swarms of bugs as they kept running as fast as they could, only to notice a fire hose and used it to spray the bugs, drowning them in water.

Heatblast crashed into a window as he got up as Clancy approaches. "Okay! Time to turn up the heat!" He then thrust his forearms at Hornet, only to start coughing as no fire came out. "Wha? What's happening? You should be roasted by now! Wait a sec!" "He looks at his hands in realization. "My cold! It froze all my flame! Not good!" He glances up as Hornet punches him hard!

The girls managed to reach the reactor and heads towards the computer, unaware of more bugs crawling after them.

Heatblast was thrown around and slams into a wall, making him glanced up at the approaching Meta-Human "WAIT! Let's talk about this!" Heatblast holds his hand, only for ice to start forming on the palm and fires an ice beam, freezing an arm completely. "OK…. That happened." Heatblast comments in shock as he looks at his hands. He then fires twin ice beams at Hornet, but she shook it off and tackles Heatblast out of the room, sending them falling as Heatblast quickly made an ice slide and freezes the bugs on the floor, sparing Sunset and Celestia. "Somebody call for a hero?" "i don't get it. Since when does Heatblast have Big Chill's powers?" "I guess for some aliens, catching a cold isn't an expression." He noticed Hornet behind him and fires a huge ice beam that froze him up in a sec!

"Core meltdown in 10..." "Stand back! I got an idea!" Heatblast fires his ice rays at the reactor, making steam erupt from it as the countdown grew closer and closer while ice starts to spread, making the girls watch in suspense as the alien pours in as much strength as possible. "3... 2... Core temperature stable. Returning to below critical levels." They all saw the reactor is frozen in a block of ice. "Way to go, Dan!" Sunset cheers out. Heatblast knees as he breaths deeply from using so much energy on his temporary ice powers. "Not a problem. 'COUGH COUGH COUGH' Now, get we please get some hot chocolate or something? My insides feel like Antarctica." Heatblast moans out.

"AAHHHH…. Bad guy's on ice. City's been saved! Reactor is chilling. And the hot chocolate steam knocks out the last of my cold." Dan sighs out, all better as he and Sunset were driven back home. As they were getting comfy, a swarm of hornets suddenly showed up out of nowhere, making Celestia hit the brakes as they saw The Empress enter the RV with a ticked look. "We didn't appreciate the cold shoulder you gave us at the plant, Tennyson." Celestia was grabbed and throw out of the car as Clancy deals with her. Sunset grabs a crow bar and start swinging at the bugs as she and Dan were surrounded. "I thought you turned him into a popsicle!" "I did! He must have thawed out!" He exclaims as he tries to get Shock Rock, but the watch is still in the red. "We're on our own!" "Great..." She groans out as Dan wipes some off. "If only we have something to tempt these thing to get off of us!" Dan realizes there is something smelly that can get rid of bugs! "I got just the thing!" He went to the back as Celestia was struggling from being held up. "HEY!" All eyes turns to Dan, holding the jar of medicine above his head. "Come and get it!" The smell did the trick as all the bugs left and were being attracted to it. "What's happening?! Stop!" Dan chucks the jar over the ledge. "FETCH!" The bugs follows it down towards a lake were they all drown. Hornet blinks in surprise as she felt a tap on her shoulder, making her notices an angry Celestia cracking her knuckles. "Ha... haha." WHAM! With one mean punch, Hornet slams against the metal railing and was knocked out cold. "Good! That girl was really bugging me." "I'm calling the police." Celestia went to her phone as both kids smiles at another job well done. "No need!' They were surprise by Luna showing up with Hotaru and Kate, with the cops. "We already taken care of it." The 3 smiles as the police stuffs the mutant into the truck and drove off.
