Strange Premonitions

Melemele Island: Route 1

Inside Professor Kukui's house, Ash and his Pokémon were sleeping soundly.

In Ash's dream, he was in a foggy area, with no clear hint as to where he might be.

"Where am I? This fog sure doesn't help." Ash said.

Then, the fog started clearing up and Ash saw that he was at the Altar of the Sunne.

"Whoa, what am I doing here?" Ash asked as he looked around.

Then, he saw a shadow approaching from a thicker part of the fog which was revealed to be Solgaleo.

"Hey, Solgaleo! It's good to see you! How have you been?" Ash greeted, recognizing his old buddy.

However, Solgaleo's face remained serious as it glanced up towards the sky, where there was some sort of a crack in the sky similar to how an Ultra Wormhole would open up, but different.

"What's that crack? Doesn't seem like an Ultra Wormhole." Ash said, and then he realized something. "Wait, are you trying to tell me something about it?"

Then, Solgaleo rose into the air and roared.

Then, Ash woke up from his dream and found himself back home.

"What was that?" Ash questioned.

Melemele Island: Pokémon School

Later at the Pokémon School, Ash relayed his dream to his peers.

"That's some dream," Lana said.

"It sounds like the dream I had," Lillie said.

"Lillie? You had one too?" Ash asked.

"Yes, Lunala appeared and it seemed to be warning me about something. Same as you with Solgaleo." Lillie said.

"I wonder what this means," Kiawe said, pondering.

"Well, there are many beliefs that dreams are like visions of the future. And if that means anything, you might get your answer soon." Aviva said.

Then, Komala rang the Ultra Guardians alert as Professor Kukui and Samson Oak came into the classroom.

"And looks like we might get it soon," Martin said.

"We just got a call from the Aether Foundation," Professor Kukui said. "This one may be quite urgent, they said."

"You know what to do, Ultra Guardians. Get down there Rapidash!" Samson Oak said.

Ash and his friends made their way down to the base, suiting up in Ultra Guardian uniforms.

Down in the base, the Ultra Guardians received the transmission from the Aether Foundation.

"Alola, Ultra Guardians." Lusamine greeted.

"Alola!" The Ultra Guardians greeted back.

"For today's mission, I want you to investigate a strange anomaly." Lusamine said.

"Strange anomaly?" Mallow asked.

"Here's an image of this mysterious phenomenon," Professor Burnet said as an image of the strange crack in the sky from Ash's dream. "As you can see, they're cracks that resemble those of Ultra Wormholes, only they're not."

"Ah! That's what I saw in my dream!" Ash said.

"Mine too!" Lillie added.

"In your dreams?" Wicke asked.

"Yes, and would this strange crack happen to be at the Altar of the Sunne?" Lillie asked.

"Yes, but it is surprising how accurate your dreams are to reality." Faba replied.

"Well, there's no time to waste. Ultra Guardians, off you go!" Lusamine made her usual send-off.

"Ult-roger, Lusamine!" The Ultra Guardians responded.

The Ultra Guardians promptly boarded their Ride Pokémon and flew off for the Altar of the Sunne with the Wild Kratts in tow in the Tortuga.

Along the way, they were joined by Gladion on his Ride Noivern.

Poni Island: Altar of the Sunne

The heroes arrived at the Altar of the Sunne and began investigating for the strange crack.

"We're here, but I don't see the crack." Sophocles said.

Then, a call from the Aether Foundation came.

"Everyone, we just discovered that the presence of the crack is fading and prospering at random intervals. Right now, the crack is barely noticeable, but it might reappear soon." Lusamine said. "Until then, try investigating the area for other information."

"Okay, got it!" Gladion responded, and the call ended.

"Well, we can start off by scanning the area for any strange energy signatures," Aviva said as she brought out her Mobile Invention Kit.

"Ah, and maybe that'll give us a clue about the strange cracks!" Chris said.

The heroes investigated all over, but all they could find were only faint readings that offered little to no help.

"Well, we're not really getting anywhere," Jimmy said.

"Then all we can do is wait until something happens," Chris said.

Then, some stronger energy signs were detected.

"Whoa, looks like we picked up something!" Koki said.

The readings pointed towards the sky, and two Ultra Wormholes opened up.

"It's not what we came here to find, but looks like something's about to happen!" Mallow said.

"Be on guard. We don't know what's about to come out." Gladion said.

The heroes waited and eventually, two figures that the heroes were all too familiar with came out: Solgaleo and Lunala.

"Solgaleo!" Ash said.

"And Lunala!" Lillie added.

As the two Legendary Pokémon descended to the ground, Ash and Lillie ran up to them.

"How've you guys been?" Ash said.

"I'm glad to see you're doing alright," Lillie said.

Then, Solgaleo and Lunala cried out to something in the sky.

In the sky, the strange crack appeared again. But this time, it grew larger until a hole appeared, releasing a few dozen metallic soldiers.

"Looks like we've got company!" Martin said.

"Solgaleo, let's team up like before!" Ash said.

"Lunala, lend us your power!" Lillie said.

The two Legendaries nodded without a moment of hesitation, and Ash and Lillie got their Burst Hearts.

"Burst!" Ash and Lillie's Burst Hearts absorbed Solgaleo and Lunala, then Ash and Lillie placed the Burst Heart on their chests, releasing flashes of light.

Ash's body became armored in a white layer akin to Solgaleo's skin; his hands and feet became black with claws; he gained Solgaleo's tail; his face became like that of Solgaleo's, and his hair became white and grew like Solgaleo's mane.

Lillie's body became purple with a white pattern on her torso with the white color spreading to her arms, and her feet became yellow; a set of Lunala wings appeared from her back; her hair turned white as Lunala's crescent crest appeared on her head.

"Burst!" Kiawe, Mallow, Sophocles, Lana, and Gladion used Burst to combine with their Ultra Guardian Ride Pokémon.

"Activate Creature Powers!" Martin and Chris activated Blue Heron and Woodpecker Powers respectively.

"Sunsteel Strike!" Ash changed into Radiant Sun phase and rammed into some of the soldiers.

"Moongeist Beam!" Lillie changed into Full Moon phase and fired a blue beam at some of the soldiers.

"Flamethrower!" Kiawe breathed out a stream of fire at the soldiers.

"Fire Blast!" Mallow breathed out a 大-shaped blast of flames from her mouth at the soldiers.

"Flash Cannon!" Sophocles fired a beam of metallic energy at the soldiers.

"Ice Beam!" Lana shot a beam of ice-cold energy at the soldiers, freezing them.

"Boomburst!" Gladion blasted sound waves from his ears at the soldiers.

Martin and Chris speared some soldiers with their beaks.

Soon, all the soldiers were defeated, but it wasn't over just yet.

"Impressive. I see those small fries were hardly a match for you." A voice said.

"Wait! That voice!" Mallow said.

"Yeah, I recognize it." Kiawe said.

"It's that Drakkor Ferros guy!" Sophocles said.

Then, Drakkor Ferros appeared from the dimensional crack which closed behind him.

"The time is nigh! The time for Lord Malummox's awakening draws near." Drakkor Ferros said as the heroes stared.
