Drakkor Ferros Battle

Ultra Space: Unknown world

In the arena, the heroes stared as Drakkor Ferros made his announcement.

"Battle? Well, that's nothing new." Mallow said.

"What are you doing to Solgaleo and Lunala?!" Lillie asked.

"I am sapping their energy to gather their Ultra Aura. And I will drain every last bit of it to nourish Lord Malummox." Drakkor Ferros replied. "Perhaps I will take you all to be drained for energy as well."

"That won't happen!" Chris said.

"We'll stop you and save Solgaleo and Lunala!" Martin said.

"Convince me with actions, not words!" Drakkor Ferros said as he released more of his energy.

"Let's go! We have to beat this guy to end this!" Ash said, raising his friends' spirit.

Drakkor Ferros turned his left arm into a giant claw and his right arm into a long blade.

"Careful, he's all prepared as well," Kiawe commented.

Drakkor Ferros used his blade arm to deliver a vertical flying slash along with a diagonal slash from his claw arm, making the heroes dodge by ducking or leaping out of the way.

"Whoa, he's good!" Sophocles said.

"Well, we're plenty good ourselves!" Lana declared.

"Let's go!" Ash shouted, and everyone readied themselves for a fight.

Drakkor Ferros then rushed towards the heroes for another attack.

"Parabolic Charge!" Sophocles shot out multiple electrical blasts at Drakkor Ferros.

"Leaf Blade!" Mallow's tail glowed green and she used it like a blade to parry an attack from Drakkor Ferros's blade arm.

"Shadow Bone!" Kiawe used his bone infused with spiritual energy to block a strike from Drakkor Ferros's claw arm.

"Water Shuriken!" Ash took the giant Water Shuriken from his back and threw it at Drakkor Ferros.

"Shadow Ball!" Lana launched a black energy ball at Drakkor Ferros.

"Trump Card!" Lillie formed several pink-glowing cards of energy and launched them at Drakkor Ferros.

"Aura Sphere!" Gladion formed an orb of aura in his hands and fired it at Drakkor Ferros.

Chris and Martin breathed fire at Drakkor Ferros to keep him at bay.

However, Drakkor Ferros managed to quickly shake off the damage from the attacks that were fired at him.

"It will take more to defeat me!" Drakkor Ferros said.

Then, his body underwent another transformation as his feet grew bigger, developing claws and becoming more reptilian, on his back sprouted a pair of wings, and lastly, his head changed into a more draconic shape.

"Looks like he's going all-out!" Martin said.

"We better step up too!" Chris said.

"Shock Wave!" Lana fired a blue beam of electricity at Drakkor Ferros, but he redirected the attack by summoning metallic spikes from the ground like lightning rods.

"Focus Blast!" Sophocles charged up a yellow ball of energy and launched it at Drakkor Ferros.

"Night Slash!" Ash formed a purple energy blade and tried to slash Drakkor Ferros with it, fighting to a draw.

"Gyro Ball!" Lillie folded up into a ball and spun rapidly to ram into Drakkor Ferros, who blocked with his arms before backing off.

"Dragon Pulse!" Gladion fired a beam of dragon-shaped aura at Drakkor Ferros, who fired his own dragon-shaped beam which was overpowered by Gladion's.

"Frenzy Plant!" Mallow planted her tail into the ground, sending giant spiky roots rushing towards Drakkor Ferros to tie him up, but he managed to break free by unleashing a large amount of energy.

"Flare Blitz!" Kiawe cloaked himself in green flames and charged towards Drakkor Ferros, who tried to protect himself by using his wings like shields.

Chris and Martin combined ice breath and strong wind to create a strong icy breeze to freeze Drakkor Ferros in place, but eventually, Drakkor Ferros broke free by shooting out multiple beams to shatter through the ice.

"Just a little more!" Ash said.

"I think if we can continue putting the pressure on him, we can win!" Mallow said.

Then, the Ultra Guardians' Ride Pokémon attacked all at once with their moves and managed to hit Drakkor Ferros.

"Alright, bullseye!" Martin said.

"Insolent fools!" Drakkor Ferros shouted as he took off into the air and fired a barrage of beams down toward the heroes.

When the dust cleared, the heroes were shown to be mostly fine, as Drakkor Ferros looked down towards them.

"How?! How can you insignificant beings be so resilient?!" Drakkor Ferros asked. "Tell me!"

But then, Drakkor Ferros was struck from the side by a barrage of icicles, which damaged him greatly, causing him to fall to the ground.

The heroes were surprised by the sudden surprise attack and turned to see Frost Waver.

"It's her! Frost Waver!" Chris said.

"Frost Waver! But how?!" Drakkor Ferros asked in disbelief until he got a different thought. "I see, you already knew I would not be so forgiving, so you sent in a decoy!"

"You are correct, but this time this is my real self." Frost Waver said, and the heroes were on guard over what Frost Waver's intentions may be. "I would like to reason with you again. Drakkor Ferros, from my encounter with these humans, I came to realize that they had something that we do not that allowed them to defeat our forces- bonds. Bonds are able to connect feelings between multiple individuals and change them into strength. Without it, you would have already won by now, but thanks to the power of bond that these humans have, they are still standing."

"Why come now to tell me all this?" Drakkor Ferros asked.

"If you continue your obsession towards Lord Malummox, it will be your own end. Rather, I hope to propose that we learn more about bonds like the humans. If Lord Malummox reawakens, then his reign of terror will make the lives of humans unbearable, and the knowledge we can gain about their bonds will be lost. Let us seek knowledge, not destruction."

"Done with your rambling?" Drakkor Ferros asked, making it clear that he had no interest in Frost Waver's words. "You were the most insightful out of the nine of us, Frost Waver, a shame that you were too insightful, in fact. Your interest has been peaked by trivial matters that it has swayed away your loyalty to Lord Malummox. For that, you have now become a stain that must be eliminated!"

The heroes who heard this were shocked by Drakkor Ferros's callousness.

"That jerk!" Ash said.

"I shouldn't be sympathizing with the enemy, but that guy is unbelievable!" Sophocles said.

"She tries to reason with him, but he automatically marks her as a traitor!" Lana said.

Then, Drakkor Ferros charged at Frost Waver to attack.

Drakkor Ferros materialized several spears out of gray energy and fired them at Frost Waver, who stopped the attack by conjuring a veil of water to shield herself.

Then, Frost Waver sent two sharp waves of water at Drakkor Ferros who flew into the air to dodge them.

Drakkor Ferros moved in close to slash at Frost Waver with his claws and blade, but she blocked him by forming an armor of ice.

"Try this!" Frost Waver shouted as she charged up an energy beam in her hands and fired it at Drakkor Ferros point-blank, piercing his body.

"Impossible… how?" Drakkor Ferros muttered just before he was sent flying.

The heroes, who witnessed Frost Waver defeat Drakkor Ferros, turned toward her.

"So, you chose to leave Malummox's side to learn more about bonds?" Chris asked.

"Yes. I seek wisdom, not power. And my search has led me to bonds as my next query." Frost Waver replied. "Also, I had also taken the liberty of freeing the two you were seeking earlier."

Then, Solgaleo and Lunala descended down upon the arena, to the heroes' pleasant surprise.

"Solgaleo! Lunala!" Ash and Lillie excitedly said as they ran up to their respective bonded Legendary Pokémon.

The heroes then celebrated the successful rescue mission and Drakkor Ferros seemingly defeated.

But then, Drakkor Ferros revealed himself to be still alive, albeit wounded grievously, and with the soul of Malummox in his hand.

"It's ironic. You were right about one thing, Frost Waver. It would seem that my obsession for Lord Malummox's reawakening would be my own end." Drakkor Ferros said.

"What's he talking about?" Kiawe asked.

Drakkor Ferros then took Malummox's dormant soul, and Frost Waver had a hunch of what he was planning.

"Lord Malummox's soul! Wait, are you really planning to…?" Frost Waver asked.

Drakkor Ferros forced the soul into his own body while groaning in pain from taking in such a powerful soul. "I offer myself as a vessel for Lord Malummox. In exchange for my own life, our great leader shall be reborn!"

Then, Drakkor Ferros threw himself down a trench, where his entire body was consumed by a sinister black and crimson aura.

The aura then started to take on a more physical form as Drakkor Ferros's body was barely visible, instead, something else had started to emerge from the hollow shell.

Malummox's body had taken form: a red and black skeletal body with thin, dark wings that were reminiscent of a fallen angel, and eyes that were completely white. Malummox stared at his body, feeling the sensation of having a physical body once more

"This body, a physical form. How long I have slumbered. My power is still weak. But once I return to full power, I'll lay waste to dimensions, starting with the world of Pokémon. Alola as my first target." Malummox declared, before disappearing.

"He's even scarier than I imagined," Lillie said.

"Don't give in to fear. We have to be ready when he arrives in Alola." Gladion said.

"You still wish to face Lord Malummox, even with his frightening power?" Frost Waver asked.

"Well, I admit I'm kinda scared," Ash said. "But what's scarier is the thought of losing the people I care about. And for that, I'll fight to save everyone. That's a part of bonds too." Ash's friends all agreed with the sentiment and nodded.

"Very well. Lord Malummox's full power will return in four days, do what you can to prepare for his arrival." Frost Waver informed them.

The heroes rejoined Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy, then Solgaleo and Lunala opened up an Ultra Wormhole so everyone could return to Alola.
