(Hey guys before I get to the obvious where's yugi bit this is gonna be from Kou and Jaden's overview perspectives about what's happening along with Yashiro as they find out what happened to Yugi. Let's begin the drama)

Chapter 13 Missing Existence

Soon after the call was finished Kou and Jaden stuck around to chat just before they switched off with an anxious Aoi and Akane. They saw the poor purple haired girl in tears as she dashed passed the two of them into the room as the two girls hugged. Akane smiled from the entry way as he patted the two on the back. He walked on inside as the two left.

"Ah I'm glad Yashiro-San is feeling better. I hate the feeling of worry in my stomach..." the brunette groans rubbing his stomach as Kou patted his back letting out a loud bark of a laugh.

"Haha. I'll walk you home Jaden." The two headed back towards the neighborhood it was a long walk till they passed the park but they eventually made it before 6.

Kou waved Jaden good night as the brunette ran inside his house.

Kou returned home. It was quiet, he assumed his siblings and cousin had already turned in for the night as he takes off his shoes counting 4 pair there with his there as he headed to the kitchen.

Kou failed to realize Yugi took a pair of his shoes from his closet to wear that day.

The house was dark so Kou took his bag and went to work on his homework. "Ugh.. how annoying.." he sighed slight as he looked over everything he had to do.

He made himself a snack then went to work on solving the homework occasionally looking around worried about the quiet in the house but most of the time used to it.

after 3 hours of working on Homework the boy got a text from Yashiro. 'Headed home tonight. Catch you and the others at school!' He smiled at her cheerful message as he put away his homework before retiring to bed.

His brother arrived soon after the boy went to bed carrying a sleepy Tiara in his arms as he takes her to her room and put her into her bed.

He walks to his room yawning as he goes as he goes to bed.

The next day took a turn for the strange. As Kou got ready for the day he felt like something was missing he couldn't recall what it was. He would definitely ask Jaden or Yashiro about it when he got to school.

"Teru-nii? Tiara? Does anything seem amiss?" He asked his siblings as the three of them walk to meet Jaden at the end of the block, his block being the next street over.

the two blonde siblings couldn't comprehend their brother's words. "Nani? Kou did you have a bad dream?" The middle sibling rubbed his head trying to figure it out.

"Possibly but I feel like I'm forgetting something... or someone..?" The two remained silent as Jaden jogged down the street to meet them. "Hi guys! Say has anything weird been happening? My brains a little fuzzy this morning.." Kou could see it in Jaden's eyes the confusion and the mixed emotions of worry sadness and anxiousness.

Kou chatted with Jaden a bit as the two of them got to the school they were greeted by Yashiro being hugged tightly by Hanako. "Mmm Yashirooo." Cooed the happy ghost hugging his dear assistant once again.

The girl was so used to his cute abd weird actions she gave him a hug back before just letting the ghost cling to her.

"Kou-Kun Jaden-kun Ohayo!" She waved. Students walked passed them as they head into the schools. "Good morning! Wanna us to walk you to class?" Jaden chirped to the now safe and healthy cream haired girl.

She giggles nodding the two boys ignoring or half ignoring the ghost clinging to her.

"Hanako is on you isn't he? I can hear him making little cat noises." The ghost look offended having been caught but since Jaden couldn't see him he stuck his tongue out at the younger male.

"Hanako-Kun don't be childish." Yashiro rolled her eyes at the ghost. He just pouted still clinging to her.

As the 4 of them walked inside and changed their shoes out for their school shoes, they bumped into Akane who wasn't wearing his glasses.

"There you are Honorable number 7. I must discuss something with you." Jaden looked confused as he could see Akane looking at the space where Hanako was around Yashiro.

"Ah! You can see him Akane-senpai!" The brunette cried out in surprise pointing to the air around Yashiro. Akane looked confused. "You cannot...? And yet you know he's there..?" The reddish brown haired male looked confused at the younger students words.

"No I can only hear the dead not see them." That made Akane raise an eyebrow. He never heard of someone who can hear the voices of the dead, it was impressive. Hanako turned his attention to Akane. "Doushda?" His amber eyes look over the eyes of his number 1.

"It's about the present… something isn't right and Mirai nor Kako will give me any details… I think somethings affecting time. Or rather an existence." The 4 of them look surprised at Akane. Hanako's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Let's go look into this. Yashiro you take it easy for your first day back and i'll see you three at lunch time." The boy ghost pried himself away reluctantly from his dear assistant as he followed the student council member down the hall.

As the three of them made it to Yashiro's class Jaden felt a sharp jolt in his head. "Somethings not right…" Kou and Yashiro look to their younger friend confusion and wonder on their face.

"Nani, Jaden-kun?" Yashiro mumbled slightly looking at her friend her ruby eyes trying to disconcert the situation. Jaden looked elsewhere down the hall. "Someone's saying help… it's so faint I could barely hear it before." Jaden's eyes darted to and back.

"Where are you…?" He spoke drawing attention to people in the class. Jaden took off like a car running down the hall as the two chased him. They saw their friend run out of the side exit of the building which lead in the direction of the old building.

"Jaden! Where are you going?!" Kou cried out as the boy burst into the building and ran up the stairs. "Im coming!!" Jaden cried out. This time the voice was more clearer. 'Help! Jaden.. can you still hear me??' The deseperate cry was faint in Jaden's ear but he could still hear it.

"Up here guys!" Jaden cried reaching the last of the stairs as he made it to the landing of the third floor as he ran to the left just before the stairs. The two older kids pant heavily as they make it to the top.

They see Jaden's back turn towards them as he was knelt down touching something.

"Hey.. i'm here can you still hear me..?" In his hands was a thick chain necklace with a golden pyramid puzzle in his hands. Yashiro walked to the boy holding it.

"What's that doing in a place like here..?" Kou, it bothered him heavily. Why does that necklace look familiar.

Both Yashiro and Kou were drawn to it and laid their hands on it as the puzzle glowed brightly showering over the 3 of them as everything went to black.

Yashiro groans rubbing her head as she awakens to a new place a labyrinth of golden bricks. It reminded her of the pyramids she saw in the world history books. "Kou-kun! Jaden-Kun!" She shook the two males laying on either side of her. Both groan as their eyes open up to see the mysterious place.

"We're inside the puzzle…" Kou calculates. To him it almost felt like he had been here before. Jaden cupped his hands around his mouth. "OI!!! Where are you!? You needed my help right?!" He looked around. Nothing had changed and no one had appeared.

Yashiro took a couple steps and screamed feeling the floor cave from under her as the two boys grab her hands pulling her back. "It's boobie trapped!" Kou cried out as the two of them held Yashiro close. The ground within 3 inches caved in.

"Give is a sign! Where are you!?" Jaden called out again as soon the three of them could hear a voice. "This way.." the voice came from the left of them as they took off in that direction. The hallways were endless as they climbed stairs looking through open and empty rooms until they found a large door.

The three of them pushed the door open to see a male they were familiar with with tricolor hair his golden bangs standing up with deep amethyst eyes. He wore their off white shirt and grey tie with brown pants and studded black boots.

"Are you the one who's called us here!?" Jaden cried out jabbing his finger in the male's direction. His arms were down by his side as he smiled slightly. "So you can't remember me, Yashiro, Kou." Yami looked to Jaden a slight smile on his face.

"You must be Jaden. I never had a chance to meet you yet. My name is Yami I am a spirit that resides in the Millennium puzzle. I've asked you 3 here because the present has been affected. Someone has been taken from this time and thrust into the past, which is why your memories of him have faded while mine are just fine since i'm bound to the puzzle. Everyone within the school have forgotten already."

The three of them look stunned. "But if you remember who it is can you help us remember so we can get him back!?" Jaden spoke up first his fist clenched. Yami put a finger to his jaw thinking.

"I suppose it'd be worth a shot." He looked back up at the three of them a firm smile on his face. He ushers them forward as they locked hands.

"Clear your mind and open your thoughts. And let the memories of the past flow into you." As he spoke light enevelopes Kou as he groaned as memories flashed in his head.

"Grandpa Muto passed away. Didn't he have someone living with him..?" His brother spoke one day.

"A cousin! We have a Itoko we don't know about!"

They send a letter out for their cousin to get.

Y-yes! I got the letter today.. Gomen I haven't been home. I just got back to the house since.. his passing..."

"Teru-nii! Muto-Itoko is on the phone!"

"I'm fine Cousin Kou. I was calling cause I got everything packed and I'll be on the plane tomorrow."

"Konichiwa, Muto Itoko. I'm Minamoto Teru, this is my Younger brother Kou and this is our sister Tiara."

Tears fell from his teal blue eyes as the memories swarmed in his head. The light soon enveloped Yashiro as her red ruby eyes widen as the memories flowed into her.

"I'm Yashiro Nene. Nice to meet you Muto-kun."

"I'm doing good Kou-kun. There's a new student in my homeroom."

"Muto-kun... Gomen ne... your grandpa would be proud that your here with your family."

"Ne, Muto-Kun. Let's be friends, okay?"

"Why wouldn't I be your friend, Muto-kun? You have the same relationship that I have with Hanako-kun... albeit a bit different."

Her eyes filled with tears as she openly sobs. The light travels to her hand that's holding Jaden's tightly. It soon envelopes him as well as his brown eyes widen in surprise and relief.

"Aahhh! Watch out! I can't stop!"

"I'm Jaden Yuki. I'm kinda new to the area. We moved here from the other side of town."

"I'm Yugi Muto. Does that mean you'll start school around here soon?"

"Jaden, can you hear me? It's okay-"

"I hope I get to attend your school then! It'll be so much fun!"

"A ransom..!? 'To the kid with the bike, if any of you want to see your friend alive come to the old warehouse on 5th with 500,000 yen to pay for the damages on my car. Your deadline is tonight by 9. If not, your friend will pay the price with her life.'"

"Ohhhh my Gawd. These are amazing! We're so stupidly famous and I just came to this school!"

His eyes filled with complete sadness and self hate for forgetting one of his first friends. The three of them dropped to their knees wiping their tear filled eyes.

Yashiro and Kou leaped at the male in front of them crying out. "Yami…!" The last time the two of them saw their friend he was injured after fighting off the copy cat apparition with Hanako.

The two of them hug the spirit both in tears. "Your okay..! It really worked what Hanako and Tsukasa did.." Kou sniffled his eyes red. Yashiro sobbed into the male spirits chest.

Jaden got to his feet and looked at the three of them. "Where's Yugi..? What happened to Yugi!" Yami sighed deeply. He couldn't fully explain what happened to yugi from what he already did know.

"Yugi… he had to pay up to Tsukasa. Part of the deal to save me was to owe one favor to the ghost. Knowing that Ghost he send him into the past to learn about everything."

The three students held their breathes. To learn of the past… Yashiro's eyes went wide. "Tsuchi-Kun… he wanted to learn about Tsuchi-kun's twin… but how far into the past has he gone..?"

Yami smiled sadly.

"That's for you three to find out. I can't help anymore from here.. until Yugi is found i'm trapped in here." Jaden approached Yami. "We'll keep the puzzle and you safe until Yugi is found!" That made the spirits gaze soften just a little.

"Take care you three…" a blinding white light overcame the three and they awoke back inside the school the Puzzle still in Jaden's hands. Kou rubbed his head.

"Does that mean what Akane-Senpai had to discuss with Hanako was exactly about Yugi?" That settled in their brains for a moment until the three scrambled to their feet Yashiro and Kou dragged Jaden to the girls bathroom.

"Hanako!/Hanako-kun!" The two students spoke in sync looking into the bathroom hoping to see their ghostly friend. He emerges from the red stall door looking at em. "Hey. So you three know what's going on..?"

They nod at the ghostly figures words. Hanako's gaze rested on Yugi's puzzle. "So finding this is exactly what I feared has happen. My devious brother sent Yugi into the past using the boundless 'Nothing'."

The name rang in Yashiro's head. The Nothing is where she ended up after Tsukasa tried to get rid of her. It was an endless nothing of doors that lead anywhere. The one to bring her back was connected to the past…

"Tsukasa took him there I bet… there's a door there that lead to the past… over 50 years ago when you were alive Hanako-kun. Tsukasa didn't want Yugi just to know the past… he wanted him to relive it..!" Hanako's eyes widen as the grabbed Yashiro's hand.

"Follow me we need to go to the 4pm Bookstack." With that the three took off for the library.
