AN As always JK owns Harry Potter and I make no monies from this. The BBC owns Dr. Who and I also make no monies from this. I can't believe it has been so long since I updated this. Career change, parent's failing health, my dad died, and then COVID. Let's see if I can get back into the spirit of which I was the time the last chapter was published. Oh, and JK owns Harry Potter…..Off we go!
Chapter 7: A Bad Man Saved (Number One)
James Potter rushed down the passage way. "Please, please let me not be too late." He thought to himself.
He burst into the room wand held out and saw Snape down clutching his chest, Shredded school robes revealing deep scratches and bleeding profusely.
The werewolf snarled as it glanced up to the new intruder in mid-strike and lowered its paw.
"Mooney, No!" James shouted, praying that there was something still human left in his friend.
The werewolf stopped its attack and looked up growling, waiting for a moment, ears perked up at the sound of a familiar voice.
James immediately noticed and shouted "Moony, Stop! I'm taking him out! If you kill Snape, You'll be sent to Azkaban! Stop for the love of Merlin!"
James rushed in further and grabbed Snape under the arms and dragged him out of the room and into the passage way, locking the door behind him and establishing a ward against the door to keep the werewolf from breaking through it.
Large bangs against the door and the unholiest of howls erupted from the other side, the werewolf frustrated at its lost pray.
James continued to drag Snape down the passage and out to the entrance, surprised to see the Headmaster and Madame Pomphrey waiting.
"Snape!" James panted out. "He's hurt! I swear I did not know of this!"
Headmaster Dumbledore looked down to the panting student. "Madame Pomphrey, take Mr. Snape to the Infirmary immediately. Mr. Potter, you will meet me along with Mr. Black in exactly one hour in my office."
Madame Pomphrey tsked after administering a blood replenishing potion and levitated the poor student away as the Headmaster walked with her toward the castle.
After the medi-witch and Headmaster left, the strange man appeared.
"You have Lily now, the pranks stop now. I'm afraid it is too late for poor Mr. Snape as things have been set in motion. If you want to keep Lily, I suggest you talk to Mr. Black. As I much as I hate it, you will not be punished. Think about your future, Mr. Potter."
James noticed the look of sadness on the strange man's face as he turned away and walked toward the Forbidden Forest.

Strax jumped down from the carriage and opened the door to allow Madame Vastra, Jenny, and the strange human wizard Snape to step out. "Our residence Madame."
"Jenny, be a dear and dismiss the caretaker of the house so we can get settled in." Vastra murmured and turned to Severus. "Welcome to 13 Paternoster Row, Severus. I sent Jenny in to dismiss the caretaker. It would distress him, even if he saw me in my hooded form, A pleasant human, but he would not understand even in a hooded form. He is sharp, that one."
Taking in Snape's appearance she barred her teeth. "Is the way you dress normal for your Wizarding World?"
Sensing the unspoken question, he answered. "It is Madame and I do not plan on changing it. I should fit in well with the mug…local populace"
Jenny appeared at the door to motion them in. "I'll show you to your rooms, Severus."
She led Severus up a set of stairs with Straxx following behind carrying the luggage. All of a sudden Severus groaned and fell down the stairs, with Straxx barely having the time to drop the luggage and catch the Human.
The Solarian nurse duties took over as he ripped open the suit and white shirt now covered in blood. "What the…" turning around and finding Madame Vastra next to him.
"I smelled Human blood….."Glancing down to the wizard.
"Madame, this Human has been attacked by a wild animal." Straxx glanced down the stairs toward the entrance hall as a loud whirring sounded and a blue police box appeared. "The Doctor has arrived. No doubt to explain this."
"Jenny, meet our guest. Straxx, be a dear and follow me. Make a note to order the tailor to replace this dress. Blood is so hard to get out." Bending down easily and picked up the now unconscious wizard and continued up the stairs. "And Straxx, do put away your ax. The animal that attacked this Human is not here. I've always wondered how you hide that thing in your butler attire."
"But Madame, what if the beast is still here?" Grumbling while he followed her up.
Jenny watched as the door to the police box opened and the Doctor ran out with Amy and Rory following him.
"Is Severus still alive? Take me to him."
They followed Jenny up the stairs to the second door opened on the left. Walking in, they found Straxx leveling his ax to slice off the wizard's arm. "Stop Straxx! You do not need to do that!" The Doctor shouted.
Straxx lowered his ax. "It will be better for him as his arm will regrow and be stronger."
"Straxx, how many times do I have to tell you that humans do not regrow limbs? Anyway, do nothing and watch." The Doctor admonished.
Severus sat up in the bed, moaning as he looked down to his chest as the gaping gashes slowly healed themselves, puckered pink and fresh before becoming pale and aged.
Rory moved to look over the scars. "What have you gotten into Professor Snape? Your back and chest are covered in scars of old injuries!"
Snape stood up from the bed and glanced down at his torn jacket and shirt, picking them up. "These are the penance I have suffered due to the Marauders and He Who Must Not be Named."
Pulling his wand out of his pocket, muttering "Reparo", watching the torn clothing repair and then spoke a cleaning spell and put his clothing back on.
He snarled at the Doctor. "I did not need to feel the pain of the Lupin attacking me a second time Doctor."
The Doctor looked to him anxiously. "A marked event in your life just occurred. Has anything changed?"
Severus thought for a moment. "No, I think not. Double spy for Dumbledore and Voldermort. Assisting Harry Potter to the end with the Snake taking my life before meeting up with you. Does that sound about right?"
The Doctor smiled as he pulled out some note cards and read them. "Ah well Severus, so far so good for you to have a chance to meet up with a good woman. Pond's follow me!"
Severus watched them leave and glanced at Vastra. "Let me help you with your dress Madame." Muttering the cleaning spell and tucked his wand away.
Vastra smiled. "Straxx, no need for the tailor now. This Human will save me quite a bit of shillings now. Severus, please excuse us. The smell of your blood has reminded me that I have not eaten fresh meat in a while. Please feel free to explore while we are away to find a fresh criminal and teach."
Meanwhile, back in the TARDIS.
The Doctor placed his notecards on a table. "I think it is time to inform Hermione Granger of Snape's true loyalty.
Amy spoke. "Is that wise? It seems that everything in Professor Snape's life is fixed based on what we observed."
The Doctor hummed as he moved the notecards around before producing one and wrote on it. "Time is flux, though certain events must happen. Our intervention should not prevent it."
Amy looked to the cards. "Just like…"
The Doctor looked to her. "Yes, just like that."
Amy hated being locked up in that box.
