Hello, how long has it been since my last update? Too long. My computer crashed a while ago and I lost quite a few of my files. I don't want to get people's hopes up with a false update so I'll write this here.

What I had: Ch. 2 of Single Servings, the next chapter for all of my in progress works, new chapter stories anywhere from 25 to 75% completed, a few mostly finished oneshots, origanal stories in progess, some school work (but nothing too important, though I lost some speaches two days after I gave them).

What I lost: EVERYTHING LISTED ABOVE!

So, where have I been? Well, have you ever seen months of hard work disapear without a trace? It really sucks. I lost most of my drive to write. So I'm taking a break from fanfiction for a bit. Sorry to everyone waiting for an update, but I just can't do it right now. Hopefully I will be back to work shortly.

No, my name is not Barney. I have yet to meet any girl with the name Barney. For any of you that are wondering, my user-name refers to the purple and green dinosaur (long story).

Some things about me, well... I don't know. My favorite color is green. What else do you really need to know?

I love lizards, spiders, bugs, snakes, worms and just about everything that stereotypically frightens girls. I can't stand dogs, cats or hamsters. I absolutely abhor shopping of any kind, especially clothes shopping. I can't draw to save my life and you never, ever want to hear me sing. I don't understand fashion, and if you find that I don't describe clothing for my characters, that's why. I have a 4.0 gpa and I want to become a published author for some of my original stories.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when authors put the numerals for numbers instead of writing out the word. I mean, seriously, it actually takes less effort to type the word ten, for instance, than to move your hand to the numbers and type 10. Really, how many of you out there can't spell ten, or four, or six? How much time and effort does it save? Plus, it looks so unprofessional. Grammatically speaking, you should spell out every number over two words long (according to MLA standards, not sure about APA). This means spelling out all numbers to one hundred and even some beyond. Please, please spell out your numbers. It makes your story much more pleasing to the eye.

I have never been in love, nor do I have much experience in mutual like. Most of my stories are romances, but most of my knowledge base for them comes from books, movies, fanfiction or my own imagination.

Reading and writing are my passions. I discovered FanFiction at the beginning of 2010 and have been hooked ever since. My search for fanfiction started after reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time. After I read that book, it quickly became my favorite book of all time, and exposed a romantic side of me I never knew existed. I read the book again, but I wanted more, so I looked up fanfiction and here I am. =) My first story (which was actually The Look of Love) was started before this, but I waited to post it, instead I posted the story that was farther along. Since then I have been following many P&P stories, but recently I have also branched out into the other Austen, Fairy Tales, Jane Eyre and North and South. P&P will always be my favorite. (Though I've written one, I've never actually read a Harry Potter fic. It's on my to-do list.)

Writing (past, present and future):

My first two stories (Sweet Dreams and The Look of Love) were both spawned from the same chapter. The Look of Love was written first, but I wanted to add in the fainting, so I changed it into what is currently published. Later I took the old draft and developed a plot line for it too. Just a random fact if you're interested.

I have yet to add a disclaimer to any of my stories. This is not done because I own anything, I just forget each time. So let me say it right here,

I don't own anything.

There, now there is no need for the disclaimers which I will, no doubt, forget to add to coming chapters and stories.

I will never abandon a story unless it is absolutely necessary. If I do abandon a story, I will leave an author’s note explaining the reason and make sure that it is absolutely clear it has been abandoned. If you don't see ABANDONED in bold letters somewhere in the story, but the update doesn't seemed to ever come, just relax and know that life has interfered and that I will continue as soon as possible.

I have received replies to nearly all of my One-Shots asking me to continue them. If you are wondering about that let me just put my opinion of that here. Eventually I may play around with the stories, expanding them, but for now they are going to stay as they are. If I had a story planned for them they wouldn't be published yet. It may still happen one day when I'm bored, but for now they will remain One-Shots. My reasoning behind that is stated below.

Being very scatterbrained, I have 50+ story ideas in various stages of progress, not including the ones published. And new ideas are coming all the time. I foresee many new stories being published in the future, mostly for P&P.

Have any of you ever read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? That was easily one of the worst books I have ever read, (and I've read quite a few). Crude jokes and disgusting descriptions, that goes perfectly with Austin. NOT! I had to immediately read P&P again to remind myself that good literature does exist. If you've never read the book take my advice, don't. To someone who loves P&P as much as I do, the book was nothing short of blasphemy.
