They both ran down the corridor to the waiting room. The rest of the family were there and stood as they came out. Severus shouted. "Did Molly come this way?" The thought of their mother conscious enough to walk on her own stunned her children so Harry answered. "No Severus. She hasn't come this way. What's happened?"
Severus' voice cracked only for a second as he fought off his own panic. "Molly has taken Beth. She thinks Beth is her own. We've got to find her. Split up and search the hospital. Every door, every cupboard, every closet. GO!" They quickly separated and went in different directions. Arthur went back home to see if she had gone there.
"What is the meaning of this?!" The head healer was objecting to the unauthorized search. Severus had no patience for the man, but quickly explained the situation. "You will help in the search for my child or I will see to it that Lucius Malfoy will cut off your funding. Do I make myself clear?"
The head of the maternity ward had dealt with nervous fathers before, but this was over the mark. "Professor Snape. I understand your concerns and will be of any help that we can, but you simply can not disturb the other patients. Do I make myself clear?"
Severus wanted to pull out his wand and show this fool exactly what he understood when Harry ran up the hall. "Severus! The downstairs reception desk saw Molly with the baby. She's left the building!"
Severus' gut twisted and he stopped breathing. This was a nightmare. "Harry. Call the ministry and get a dozen aurors down here to join in the search, I've got to tell Hermione what's happened."
He didn't want to tell her that her child was in the hands of a mentally ill woman and they had no idea where she was. When he got to the room with a doctor in tow, he grabbed her by the arms to steady her. "Did you find her?" The doctor gave her a potion. She looked at it, suddenly getting hysterical. "What's this?"
Severus was stern. "Drink it Hermione."
"No! Where's Beth?" She was trembling badly.
"I'll tell you once you drink it." Severus needed her to drink the sleeping draught first.
Hermione did it and then smashed the vial on the floor. "Where is my daughter?!"
Severus sat her on the bed looking into the terrified eyes of his wife. "Molly apparated. We don't know where, but I have a dozen Aurors on the way to help. We'll track her down. Arthur's already gone to the Burrow and the rest have scattered to every place they can think she would go. Minerva?' He looked at the frightened woman. "It's a long shot, but go to Hogwarts and see if she's there."
The Headmistress nodded quickly and ran from the room. "I'll have the castle searched thoroughly."
Hermione began to wail loudly and rock back and forth. He knew the potion would not be enough to truly calm her, but it would keep her from going out herself to search. Severus gently pushed her to lay in the bed and covered her. "Hermione You're not well enough, please stay here and I'll be back as soon as I can with news. It'll be alright. Molly won't hurt her and she won't abandon her home and children. Don't worry love. This won't take long."
Severus looked at the doctor. "Take care of her. Don't let her out of that bed!"
The doctor nodded as a nurse came in. "Don't worry Professor. Henry here will watch over her."

Lydia was grading papers in her office when she heard a voice. "I have something to tell you."
She knew right away who it was. "Fred! I told you to leave me alone." Lydia picked up her wand and started an incantation.
"Wait! I'm not here to prank you. Something is very wrong."
"What do you mean something is wrong? Wrong with what?"
"Not what, who." Fred's voice was unsure, and his worry was plain.
Lydia was suspicious of him and wanted clarification. "Okay then, who?"
"It's mum. She needs help, but I can't talk to her. Please help me."
"What's happened Fred?"
"Well, I went with the family to see Hermione's baby. They took mum hoping she would react. Nobody knew she would react the way she did. She's taken the baby and she's saying some really strange things." Fred's confusion was contagious and Lydia didn't know how to react.
A moment later Minerva was knocking at her door. "Lydia? Lydia are you in there?"
It was like a three ring circus. Lydia went to the door and opened it. "Hello Minerva. How can I help you?"
"Thank heaven you're here." The Headmistress pushed her way into the room. "I'm having the house elves search the castle for Molly Weasley. She's taken Hermione's baby and disappeared! You've been complaining about Fred pulling pranks on you. Do you think you could contact him and ask him if he knows where she is?"
Lydia smiled and tried to calm the woman. "As it happens he is here asking for my help." She closed her eyes and concentrated. "Fred? You have seen her? Where is she Fred?"
Fred tried to explain, but not being in this world it was hard for him to describe. "She's in the middle of a vacant lot in a town outside London. Just standing there holding the baby and gibering."
This wouldn't help, they needed more. "Fred, Are there any landmarks, street signs? Anything to say exactly where she is? Fred?" Lydia reached out with her magic, but Fred was gone. She explained to Minerva what Fred had said. "We need to tell the others. They may know the place."
Lydia used her floo to contact the hospital, but Severus and the others were gone. Minerva focused on Arthur and sent her patronis to tell him to contact her. When green flames lit the fireplace, it was Arthur and Severus. They were at the burrow in hopes she would come home and coordinate the others searching.
Lydia was glad they were together so that Severus could help Arthur understand what she was about to say. "Severus, Fred told me that Molly is in an empty lot outside of London with the baby. Does Arthur know why she would do that or where it might be?"
Severus looked at the man next to him who had suddenly grown pale and silent. "Arthur? Arthur do you know where she is?"
Arthur nodded silently looking haunted, "Yes. I know where she is and why she's there. It's our old address. The building had so much damage they tore it down and it has been in litigation over ownership ever since. Molly's looking for our apartment. She may not be there for long with the building gone, we'd better hurry. 8569B Blundell Rd, Edgware."
