Marry him, Ginny

Ron

Ron sat alone in Gryffindor common. Around him was the usual bustle of fifth years revising for their owls. His sister Ginny was one of them and from her looks, she stepped behind from pulling Hermione. She sat alone in the corner of the common room, her posture tense, disarray hair, dark circles beneath her eyes, wrinkled forehead with books and parchments lying in front of her.

Why she was in such a frenzy was beyond him. She was really smart (not that he would ever admit it) and good at studies as much as Percy, she didn't have to be worried so much.

He was distracted from his thoughts when he heard the portrait hole open admitting his best mate carrying the plate filled with breakfast and a goblet of juice. Weird, he thought, they just had breakfast in the great hall. Why would he bring it up in a common room? He watched him as he made a beeline to Ginny.

Ginny looked up and smiled adoringly at Harry. Her face brightened and her shoulder slumped as He set the plate and goblet in front of her and took her textbook. Ginny tucked into her breakfast while Harry seemed to quiz her.

Harry stood up kissing her on the forehead as Ginny finished her breakfast in record time. She seemed more relaxed now.

Ron made his way towards Ginny. She was not interested in acknowledging him so he asked her. "What was all that?"

"What?" She asked in an irritated voice without looking up from her book.

"Harry bringing the breakfast thing."

At this, she looked at him and smiled. "That's what it was. He brought me breaking here so that I won't have to waste my time going to the great hall for that, I can revise instead. It is sweet."

Ginny went back to her book.

"Huh. He never did that for me." Ron said thoughtfully after some time.

"Try snogging him," Ginny told him.

"Funny " Ron grumbled.

Ron sat there in silence contemplating the happening of the morning between his best friend (male one) and history sister. He nodded to himself as he concluded.

"Marry him." He told her decisively.

That got Ginny's attention.

"Excuse me." She gave him the look of disbelief marred with incredulity.

"I said what I said." He told her firmly.

Seeing her unconvinced he added. "Look, if anyone bothered to bring me breakfast while I was doing whatever I am doing, I would marry that person."

"Thanks, I may act upon your advice in future. Now please sod off." Ginny told him dismissively.

Not taking the clue, Ron continued. He was excited with the prospect of his sister marrying his best friend (the again male one).

"I can give you ideas for nice proposals. You can hide the ring in the snitch and let him catch it. Or you could..."

Ginny looked him in the eye and said calmly told him to fuck off.

Muttering about ungrateful sisters he went back to his seat mentally writing the rough draft of his best man speech.

Charlie

He hurried to the burrow as fast as he could with the parcel in his hand. He hoped nothing would go wrong in his absence. So far the baby has been quiet. Not making any sound, eating and sleeping on time and content to live in his small box for the time being.

It wasn't hard to hide her during the daytime, with the chaos going around, the house full of family and guests. It was good that he shared a room with Bill who was a heavy sleeper. Just yesterday Azure had woken up at night, flapping her wings. It was a bit early for her to fly, usually, her species took at least a month to fly. Hoping that it won't cause any trouble till the wedding otherwise, his mum will blow him away worse than a ghoul.

He entered Burrow's kitchen to find it empty and voices coming from upstairs.

Suddenly he stopped in his step. Did they find out about Azure? Fuck.

Fred and George saw him first as he slowly climbed the stairs to his room.

"Oh look. Daddy is here." Fred cried gleefully.

Gulping he realised that his secret was out.

"Charlie Weasley you are in so much trouble. When mum finishes with you, He who must not be named will be the least of your worries." George told him solemnly

"How the hell did she get out?" He ran up the stairs.

Ignoring the shouts of his mother and others, he ran into his room. He blinked in surprise at the scene that greeted him there.

Harry Potter was sitting on the bed cradling the baby dragon, surrounded by Ron, Fleur and Ginny while Fleur cooed at the dragon. Well, that wasn't the most surprising part. What he was shocked to see was that Harry was speaking to Azure. Not just speaking, Apparently chatting like good friends.

"What is happening here?" He asked after finding his voice.

"Your illegitimate, counter species daughter got fed by hiding. She wanted to be part of the family too." Ginny answered him looking up from where she was sitting next to Harry.

Frowning, Ron asked him, "Why did you hide her, Charlie. Do you think we won't accept her?"

"It's not right. She is family. My first niece." Ginny told him in disapproval. Turning to Azure she said in a soft voice.

"Even though you are a dragon, it doesn't matter to us. You will always be part of us. Even when you are far far away."

"Tell her what I said, Harry." She ordered Harry, who hissed at her and Azure hissed at him in return.

"She says thank you." He said with a sappy look at his sister. Ginny smiled at him, suddenly her face lit up in excitement.

"Oh Harry, can you tell her to call me aunt." She asked Harry excitedly.

Azure hissed at Ginny.

"Oh my god," Ginny exclaimed and practically melted.

"Uncle too." Ron popped up from beside her, not wanting to let out.

Charlie looked around and tried to make sense of the situation. Ginny, Ron and Fleur were only the ones brave enough to be in the room with a baby dragon. His dad looked like he wanted to come inside but was trying to hold onto his mum. Bill was trying to pacify Delacours, who had petrified expressions on their faces. Twins were nowhere to be seen.

Harry looked way too comfortable, cradling Azure like he was, translating for others. That boy had no fear at all. Well, he thought, someone who had to outsmart Hungarian Horntail won't be afraid of baby Japanese sharpwings. How on earth was Harry talking to a dragon? And most importantly why was he found out now!

"Can someone please explain to me what's going on here?" He asked them tiredly.

Harry calmly looked up and asked, "It's no big deal. She is related to a snake isn't she?"

"Yes."

"I'm a parselmouth." He said warily. Charlie was stunned, this was new. His gaze slid to his sister and youngest brother. Both of them looked at him, daring him to say anything unsavoury, not that he was going to do in the first place. It was useful anyway. Not just useful, it was…

"Great, amazing, fantastic." He kept saying.

He too joined their small contingent, not wanting to lose the chance to talk to a dragon.

After a while, the crowd from the doorway cleared and his parents joined them too. He went over to join Ginny and Ron, a few feet away, giving space to new members.

They were quiet, observing Harry talking to Azure. Charlie was still in awe. Ron, who had long lost any ability of surprise when it came to his best mate, was munching on some of the biscuits Bill and he had nicked the day before.

Ginny on the other hand was mesmerized as she watched her boyfriend. Charlie had never seen such a tender expression on his sister's face. He tapped her on the shoulder. One day he was sure Harry and Ginny would marry. And he can have a dragon speaking brother in law. He sighed, oh how days passed.

"Ginny." He said tapping on her shoulder.

"Hmm" she replied distractingly.

"Marry him." He told her.

She turned and looked at him blankly.

"Told you so," Ron spoke up from behind her.

Ginny rolled her eyes at them and went back to ogling her boyfriend.

"I am serious." He said, trying to catch her attention.

"No, you are Charlie." She said without looking at him.

"Say the word. We already have everything set up. After Bill's we can do yours."

Looking at him and Ron like his mum looked at the twins, she walked away from them to Harry's side, muttering about insufferable brothers.

Bill

Every member of the Weasley family plus Hermione watched the argument between Harry and Molly Weasley attentively.

Molly was completely against her children not returning to Hogwarts much less actively taking part in the war.

"Mrs Weasley I can't say I understand where you are coming from because I can't. But you have to understand that we are not children, not anymore. Each one of us is personally involved in this war. We were in the frontline when Umbridge went rampage at Hogwarts, we fought at the Department of Ministry and Hogwarts last year.

I'm the centre of this war, Ginny is affected to her very soul by that monster, your family is a blood traitor, fighting against the very essence of the war, Hermione is a muggleborn witch the foremost target for death eaters. You can't keep us away from it.

Death eaters infiltrated Hogwarts, it is supposed to be the safest place. You can't say it is safe to attend Hogwarts in the current situation with Dumbledore's death.

I have to complete the task and defeat Voldemort and Ginny, Ron and Hermione offered to help me. We are going to do it whether you like it or not. While we can do that without you, your help and support will be much appreciated along with your food."

Bill watched as his brothers had the same jaw slacked expression as his. Hermione looked troubled like she wished nothing more than to bolt away from the scene, his dad looked contemplative. His eyes rested on Ginny. She was gazing at her boyfriend with pride. She noticed him looking at her and smirked in Bill's direction.

Bill was shocked, to say the least. No one and he meant no one could hold themselves in front of Molly Weasley when she is dead set on something. He and his brother never bother to argue with their mother while Ginny and she had loud rows once in a while. Only sometimes his dad could make her see sense.

Harry Potter has changed that. He meticulously wore down his mother with a well-placed argument. He didn't shout or even raise his voice which was surprising considering his behaviour or previous years. He just placed hard facts in front of her and told her in no uncertain term that he would do what he had to with or without her permission and managed to diffuse tension.

Everyone watched in anticipation at his mother. To everyone's surprise, he exhaled a breath and dropped her hands from where they were situated at her hips.

"Alright Harry dear, I can't deny that my children are grown up. It will take time but I promise I will get there." She told him in a resigned voice.

Once again he watched in amazement as she got her composure back and hugged Harry before patting his cheek and saying, "Let me make you treacle tart."

"Oh, can I watch, I want to learn how to make it?" Harry asked his mother hopefully.

"Overkill mate." Bill heard Fred's voice while Ron muttering suck up trying to cover it as a cough.

His mother just glared at them ushering her precious Harry to the kitchen.

Bill was first to break the silence catching Ginny's attention.

"Ginny"

She turned to him expectedly.

"Marry him." He told her shortly.

"Told you." Ron and Charlie said simultaneously.

Ginny's face turned sour, "Not you too."

Percy

Percy heaved a sigh of relief as he exited the room. It was a miracle that he was let go with merely a slap on the wrist. Everyone who had worked under Voldemort's faux government was tired after the war and Percy didn't have the excuse of being under the influence of an imperious curse. By the time he had realized the sham of the governor, he was far too deep to get out and what he had done to his family, he didn't have that option either. He at least deserved some years of confinement, although extra work with payouts sans any promotions will do. At least he didn't have to go to jail.

He saw Harry talking with the Minister and Head Auror by the end of the corridor. He heard their conversation as he neared them.

"Thanks for this." He caught the end of Harry's sentence.

Minister Shaklebolt slapped Harry on the back as he said, "That's the least we could do for you, Potter. It's not that he had any bad intentions, the lad was just misguided. With Arthur's reputation and your word, it was easy enough to get him out."

Of course, Percy thought he should have known. It had to be a saviour's word. Damn, he had heard Harry's praises all around his house, but experiencing his kindness first-hand was still serial. He felt worse than before.

"Hey alright?" Harry asked him.

"Huh," He replied, distracted and catching himself, "I just wanted to thank you."

Harry waved his hand, "It's no big deal. Forget it and don't be stupid again." With that, he went away, Percy following him through the fireplace.

Rubbing out the remaining ashes he looked to see Harry and Ginny locked in an passionate embrace.

"Percy, earth to Percy." Ginny waved her hand in front of his face. He might have been lost in thought.

He shook himself and turned to her, "He's the one Ginny, don't let him go."

He didn't understand why but Ginny made a resigned sigh and stomped out of the room.

FRED AND GEORGE

Twins sat with their heads down on the dinner table.

"That will teach you not to mess with someone with maruders' legacy."

"Shut it you, entitled price. We gave you that map."

"Excuse you. I am the legitimate heir of the map. It was the fates that made you give me it. You were mere vessels in the process of the greater good." Harry told them in his best impression of Dumbledore's voice, which was not very good.

"Huh," was the only thing George was able to utter as Fred was stunned into silence.

"Well my dad was prongs, Sirius was Padfoot, Remus was well moony and that rat."

Slowly their gazes turned from curiosity to astonishment to reverence.

They turned to each other and nodded in determination.

"Ginny, Ginny, you have to marry him!" Fred exclaimed.

Ginny's face soured, "Why don't one of you marry him?"

"I would love to, no doubt. But we lack the particular reproductive Organ which would help in producing Weasley cross Potter cross marauder children. We shan't, absolutely shan't deprive the world of them. The future of pranking is in your hands now." George told her with an extremely serious face.

Ginny raised her brow and folded her arms, "Are you encouraging me to have sex with my boyfriend? Never thought I would see this day."

"Anything for the greater good."

"Fine. I will." Ginny declared.

Harry turned to her,"You would."

"We do it every day."

"Not that." He coloured and asked, "Marry me that is?"

"Huh,"

Taking her hand in his, he brought a box with another in front of her and looked at her with a raised brow. "Ginevera Weasley, will you marry me?"

"Yes, yes she will!" Shouts were heard from all the occupants of the dining room before she could even open her mouth.

Smiling, she nodded and hardly had Harry slip the ring on her finger when they were bombarded by her brothers in group hugs and shouts of congratulations.
