Let's go I'm finally back to writing this fic, although it is a rewrite. I'm planning to write a lot more frequently too so I'll catch up to where the none rewrite fic was in no time.

Natsuki Subaru had expected the day, or well the night since he left for the store quite late to be like any other. He expected it to be dull and to lack any sort of interesting events, like most days.

However, his expectations were utterly destroyed, as today, the most unexpected thing happened.

In an unknown room, he was caught in a tight embrace – well more like a vice grip of someone with herculean strength. He had no way to move away and escape from his 'attacker.' Their arms had a firm hold of Subaru, seemingly not willing to ever let the boy go.

If he took one wrong move he felt as if the force of a semi-truck would crush him.

The unexpected embrace had not come from his parent, nor any close friends, which he didn't even have in the first place. No, the person who had entrapped him within their arms was completely unknown to Subaru.

The person hugging him was a girl who appeared to be in her early twenties at most.

The reason this was so 'unexpected' was mostly because Subaru hadn't talked to a girl in quite some time, other than his own mother, never mind not knowing this girl.

It was quite a strange experience getting hugged out of the blue by a random girl you didn't know in the slightest, especially late at night.

And what was even more strange was the fact that this girl was almost completely naked, only wearing shorts that had an emphasis on the 'short' part and a revealing bra.

She appeared to be some sort of exhibitionist. Such a girl was pinning him down, embracing him. If someone saw the two they would most likely jump to conclusions.

However, the main thing that really confused Subaru was how he appeared to be in a completely different place than he was in before as if he teleported to somewhere else in an instant. He didn't even have time to open his eyes before he was whisked away to this unknown place.

Still caught within the young(or so it seemed)girls arms, Subaru began to look back on his memories to make some sense of what had happened to lead up to what was currently occurring...

Emerging from the store he had bought his luxury items from–a bag of chips and instant noodles – Natsuki Subaru trudged his way to a road with little traffic coming through.

It was obviously not a very busy road, and the street he was on was obviously not a very busy street either. Only a few people walked nearby the store at this time. Even still the lack of even those people was quite ominous. The only person visible was Subaru with his shopping bag.

Sighing to himself, Subaru pulled out his flip phone to check how late it was. He set off only a few minutes ago but he shouldn't be out too long. It's not like he had anything to do anyway.

The only reason he came out to the store in the first place was to buy his so-called 'luxury items.' That was it. He never went outside for any other purpose. His life was one of laziness and sloth. Natsuki Subaru was the prime example of a shut-in.

Looking at the time, he saw it was nearing half-past ten. He had taken longer than he thought considering all he had bought were two items: chips and noodles.

"They do say time flies by when you're having fun" Subaru uttered drearily in a sarcastic tone. He was in fact having no fun at all and was incredibly bored, hence his sarcastic tone.

He had been doing nothing before he went to the store, and after he gets home he will most likely continue to do nothing.

Putting his phone back in his pocket, he staggered as his eyesight blurred and distorted ever so slightly. Strange whispering noises also made their way into the young boy's mind causing him even greater confusion.

"Huh? I guess gaming all night really does mess with your brain. I'd Better be careful crossing the road then."

"The only thing that would make this day worse would be getting run over." Subaru snickered to himself as he dropped an obvious flag for his own death without knowing it.

Well, that would be wrong since he wouldn't actually die. Not yet anyway.

Subaru dismissed the strange occurrence as his mind simply playing tricks on him due to his late-night gaming. In his defence, it was an incredibly convincing reason.

After all these things happen when you're tired out of your mind, Subaru probably thought.

He began to cross the road when he felt something akin to dust agitate his eye as if something had lodged itself deep under his eyelids. He quickly scurried across the road so as to not get hit when he tried to dislodge the foreign object within his eye.

He brought up his hand to rub his eye closing them in the process, but there was no relief to the amount of discomfort he felt.

Instead of trying to get a piece of dust out of his eye to no avail, as stupid as it sounds, he decided to head home, no matter how irritating it was.

Opening his eyes Subaru became shocked at what he saw.

When he opened his eyes he expected to see the street illuminated by the bright and harsh light of street lamps. However, instead of that familiar sight he had seen day after day, he saw that he was in a room.

He was in a completely different place.

"Huh, w-wait, where the hell is this. Wasn't I just standing in the street? So how the hell did I get here?"

Everything was completely different to the street he was in before: The air, the temperature, the atmosphere, even the feeling of discomfort within his eye had completely vanished and had left no trace of its existence.

Everything that had previously been present apart from Subaru himself and the bag in his hand had completely vanished.

Little did he know, he was actually the one who vanished.

Obviously not knowing where he was, Subaru began to panic. There was no sign that he had been transported to another world meaning there was no excitement currently within him.

"w-wait a second, have I been kidnapped!" Subaru had already begun jumping to the most serious of conclusions.

"No, that can't be right. There was no one around, but still, why would anyone kidnap me! It's not like I remember being kidnapped but there's no other explanation." Well, there was another explanation and it was the most unlikely one of all: he had been summoned to another world.

The possibility was so unlikely that the chance was only just above zero. If it weren't for what had just happened, the chance would surely be zero. Even so, it was true.

Subaru had never panicked this much before, mostly because he had been confined within the safe walls of his bedroom. To him, everyone outside were invaders seeking to destroy his fortress walls that safeguarded him from the world. Truly a shut-in way of thinking.

Subaru, being conscious of his own panic, began to breathe in and out slowly to try to calm down so he could think rationally about his situation.

"Okay, calm down Subaru, calm down. It's not as if I have 100% been kidnapped." Subaru spoke to himself in a vain attempt to calm himself down. He was now breathing steadily and taking on a more calm composure so maybe it wasn't as vain as originally thought.

"Maybe I'm having one of those lucid dreams people talk about. Yeah, that's right! I must be dreaming!" This was the only thing Subaru could come up with to rationalize his situation.

"Well if it's a dream I might as well do something until I wake up." This was the only thing Subaru could say to calm himself down. He didn't fully believe it himself, but it was the only valid explanation. After all, he would have never thought for a moment that he had been summoned to another world.

Now that he had regained some of his sense he began looking around, half out of curiosity and half to find a way to exit – he still didn't believe he was dreaming.

It all felt too real to be a dream, but at the same time looked too dream-like to be a room within urban Japan.

Even still, the idea that this was all a dream was an extremely pleasant prospect to the lost and confused Subaru. It was simply 'the best explanation.' It helped soothe his panicked mind.

Humans feared what they could not understand, the same could be said for Subaru. Right now Subaru understood nothing about his current situation.

Maybe if he was isekaied in the most common way, getting taken out by the infamous 'Truck-Kun,' he could deduce that he had been sent to another world. However, what happened to Subaru was much too different to the common isekai anime and manga that he had seen up until now. He had simply appeared here without any indication that this was another world.

Maybe he would've realised such a thing had happened to him if he was sent to a different location like the bustling streets of Lugnica filled with every manner of strange beasts and demi-humans. But instead, he was sent to a room. Ignoring the strange sources of light and the slight medieval setting present in the room, it couldn't be distinguished from any other room on earth.

Besides it wasn't like the room was completely medieval, it had tinges of modern technology. This fact was evident due to the polished wooden desk and orange coloured bean bag in the corner in the room. Plus the bed and carpet was something you would expect to see in a middle-class apartment in Japan.

Though small and costly, one couldn't deny the homeliness of a simple Japanese apartment once you've lived there for some time.

Subaru was still scanning his surroundings trying to make out where he is.

It was safe to say that someone definitely lived here, there were all sorts of things...not really. There was a bed, a desk, a beanbag and a mini-fridge. Wait what!

To Subaru, it wasn't strange for a mini-fridge to be in such a place though it did look out of place. He was yet to learn that he was in a fantasy world. A fantasy world with a mini-fridge.

However, the small fridge was wide open with nothing in it and seems to have stopped working. The inside was the same temperature as the room.

Subaru still had no idea what to do. He could try to leave through the door, but that wouldn't tell him where the hell he was.

Continuing to scan his eyes around the mysterious room, his eyes lay upon an ancient-looking book. It was caked in dust; it obviously hadn't been touched, never mind opened in quite some time. The spine of the book appeared to be flaking away due to its age and the edges of the book were rough and coarse looking.

Suddenly having something to do, Subaru chuckled t himself as he discovered the ancient-looking book. To him, this appeared to be some sort of great find that could possibly ease his mind or maybe even give him a clue to where he was.

"I wonder what this is! Is this some sort of ancient diary, or maybe a book describing an ancient legend! Well, I won't know until I found out…." Subaru opened the book in excitement. He was acting just like a child who found a strangely shaped metal in a sandpit would act like.

Subaru was enticed by the prospect of some ancient secret coming from this ancient book. However, he ran into a problem-

"What kind of language is this? I can't even read it for crying out loud! I guess if the book really is as old as it looks then it's a given that it might have some strange old language but still…" What could be seen upon opening the book were strange symbols.

Subaru had never seen such symbols before in his life, he assumed it to be an ancient language. For all he knows it could simply be a language from a country he hasn't heard of… but what it be doing here if that was true.

He desperately flipped through the book in search of something that resembled Japanese, or even the small amount of English he knew.

Reaching the last page to this seemingly long-winded diary, it appears to be a diary since it was hand written and appeared to b in a similar format, Subaru saw that the entire last page was in Japanese.

"Yes! At least there's something I can read in this."

Scanning across the handwritten words, Subaru realised the handwriting was oddly similar to his own.

He didn't think much of it and simply disregarded it as him having a common writing style.

He began to read it within his head-

Whoever is reading this, I am sorry. I don't expect forgiveness but please know that I intended to make things right. If you happen to come across this book, I am most likely long gone. Well, I know that I am since I would have killed mys-

Subaru stopped reading the book as he heard the sound of footsteps outside of the door to the room he was currently in.

They gradually got closer and closer until he heard them stop right in front of the door. He heard the doorknob turn and the door slowly began to open

Subaru's blood ran cold. What would he see beyond that door? Up until now, he had been completely alone so he thought he had nothing to fear.

If he had been kidnapped maybe this was his kidnapper. Subaru undoubtedly thought of something along those lines.

As the door fully opened his terror-filled eyes gazed upon the horrifying being before him…

'A half-naked girl!?'

Subaru thought to himself in disbelief.

Wait a moment, what was about to happen to him if a half-naked girl was coming into this room which had a bed in it. Had he been kidnapped for such purposes!?

The girl seemed shocked as she stared at Subaru's cowering form. She seemed to be in utter disbelief, but not for long. Soon after her face became full of joy and glee as if she had just seen a miracle happen.

"Master!" Without warning, she lunged out towards the boy at full speed and caught him in her arms.

Well, that's what happened up until this point.

'I still have no idea what's going on!' Subaru exclaimed to himself.

Even though he had only been on the floor for a little over five seconds, he had skimmed over his memories like that time and time again but couldn't make any sense of this situation.

"I've missed you so~ much master!" The half-naked girl spoke up first. Apparently, she missed Subaru. The boy couldn't grasp why she missed him since he had no clue who she was.

After hearing her speak, Subaru was reminded about what situation he was in and then spoke up himself.

"W-wait! Who the hell are you, you nudist! You're going to crush me to death, you crazy woman!" Upon being reminded about the situation he was in, he was also reminded about the pain of being crushed that the 'young' girl was causing.

"Come on master~! Don't be like that. It's been so~ long, you can spare me some love right~ master."

"What are you on about, I have no idea who you are! I think you've got the wrong guy!" Subaru was trying to squirm his way out of her gradually strengthening grip.

Every time he tried to resist more her hold on him would get tighter and tighter.

"Hey, hey, don't crush me more! What are you a snake! I really am going to die here, seriously! Just loosen up a bit please I'm begging you!"

Upon hearing her master's words, the girl slightly loosened her grip on the boy. Her excitement had gotten the better of her and she couldn't hold herself back.

"Okay~ Sorry about that master, it's just I was so~ happy to see that you've finally come back." She was ecstatic. The young girl Subaru had never met before was ecstatic over him being there.

If it was any other situation he would be leaping with joy but he was still wary of the girl with a gorilla-like strength currently wrapping her arms around him. He had never had anyone be this excited because of him other than his parents, and plus it was a girl, an unknown species to Subaru.

"A-anyway, before I ask you about that again, c-could you please tell me who you are and what I'm doing here." Subaru stuttered, his face became flushed as he realised what the soft sensation on his chest was.

This random girl's oversized breasts were pressed right up against Subaru's chest.

He had never been close to a girl this close to being nude. The fact that she was making physical contact with Subaru and pressing her breasts up against him was far too stimulating for the young boy who was yet to reach eighteen.

"Master~ stop joking around. Wait, are you ill master? Your face is all red."

"I-I'm not ill! It's just you're a little too close, don't you think. I've never felt a girl's touch in my whole seventeen years of living this is too stimulating for me!"

The girl paused for a second, processing what Subaru had just said.

"Well if there was any more room I would have gotten even closer! And master, if you want…you don't have to leave it at just touching…"

"No way! It hasn't even been five minutes since we met! Are you some sort of sex fiend!?" Subaru's face turned an even darker colour of red. Since she had said something as suggestive as that, he couldn't help himself from growing closer in colour to the common ripe tomato.

"Master I am no sex fiend! The only person I would do it with is you master!"

"What were your intentions when you just said that because that didn't reassure me in the slightest!? In fact, it makes me even more concerned! I am a pure and innocent seventeen-year-old with no intention of doing anything like that with someone I just met! Sorry, no thanks!" His blush reached new heights and surpassed limits. Who knew that a human being could change the colour of their face like this so quickly.

"hmph, okay then. Your the one missing out master~… Master are you sure you're okay? You're really~ red you know."

"I'm fine honestly I'm jus… huh?"

Subaru had assumed that the girl was asking if he was fine, mistaking his blush as a fever or something along those lines. That was part of it, but he had also hit his head when the girl charged at him and held him down in a tight hug.

Subaru actually had a huge red mark on the left side of his head just below his raven hair.

Subaru's eyelids began to give way as he could feel himself lose consciousness.

"w-w-wha, this is my fault, isn't it! Master~ I didn't do it on purpose I promise! Go towards the light… Er, wait no! That's the wrong one! Don't go towards the light master!" Those were the last words he heard before he lost conscience.

He couldn't help but smile at the girl's goofiness.

A realm wrapped in a curtain of Shadow: that was the best way to describe this place

This strange, dark place was where Subaru's mind had ended up after losing conscience. He was taken to this pool of darkness for seemingly no reason.

This strange 'shadow realm,' or maybe shadow garden would fit it better, was quite strange, indeed. The shadow garden was undoubtedly made of 'shadows' but what was strange about it was that there was nothing but shadow.

Nothing: not an ant, bug, spec of dirt or dust particle in sight. There was nothing to cast these incredibly ominous shadows that seemed to break every rule of physics that had been discovered up until this point.

Well, even if there was any sight of some sort of object, these shadows still couldn't exist since there was no source of light.

What a strange place.

And for some reason, Subaru couldn't comprehend or think any of this. In fact, it appeared he was missing all the vital organs that allowed him to 'think.'

It was as if only his soul was within this place.

He couldn't think, couldn't breathe, couldn't see, couldn't walk, couldn't do anything.

He felt as if he was only one part of his whole self like the rest of him was in pieces. Could this senseless nightmare go on forever?

But then something came into the pool of shadows. It was a woman.

The strange woman had a black cloak seemingly made from the same shadowy substance as the space around her. Wisps of shadow like smoke appeared to radiate from the cloak creating a hazy black aura around the woman.

She was walking over towards Subaru, but not in the way any normal human would do. Each step was placed on the floor as if it was predetermined, she followed a pattern. Her speed never changed pace and she never lost her balance. It was as if she was a machine with only one goal in mind.

As her figure became ever closer to Subaru, he could finally make out a clear image of what her face looks like, well somewhat since about half of her face was covered by her cloak of shadows.

There was only one word that could describe her face, even though it was only the bottom half: beautiful.

You could tell her pale glossy skin was as smooth as porcelain, that much could be said even with just a glance. Her thin, slightly parted lips were just as glossy as her skin, yet had a light pink colour whereas her skin was almost completely white.

If not for her shadowy aura, no doubt she would be glowing like an angel descended from the heavens.

However, her ethereal beauty was off-put by something ever so slightly. Her robotic and ominous nature.

Her breathing hadn't changed since she appeared and her muscles hadn't even twitched in the slightest. Everything other than her appearance suggested that she was something other than human.

It was as if she had been hollowed out and some creature was wearing her skin to blend in. Her appearance completely contrasted her actions.

She was like the border between the uncanny valley, where people start to confuse reality with fantasy.

She grew closer and closer to Subaru's conscience yet he did not register this as he had nothing to register it with.

Once she reached him she put her mouth where Subaru's ear would usually be in place of the nothingness that was currently there and uttered a single sentence.

"I love you"

Her voice was bone-chilling. It was as if I could freeze a person down to their very core. She spoke in exactly the same way she acted, like a highly realistic robot.

Her voice held no emotion, her words being hollow. Not only that it was as if she had no accent as well. The words she spoke held no uniqueness to them and sounded as if they were the 'default.'

"I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you..."

Her words would grate into the skull of anyone present and make them shiver like the high pitch sound of a fork scraping across a plate. Her words continued on, she needed no breath or mental break, she simply continued on without a care in the world.

But as time went by her voice began to grow quieter. Subaru was waking up.

This was the end of the strange woman's endless mental assault, for now at least.

Subaru slightly shifted in his sleep as he began to wake up.

His eyes opened drearily as if they had no strength to do so. He looked like a corpse but at least he was awake now.

"huuuahh~ Damn, that was a weird dream. Who was that girl anyway, did I just make her up in my dream or did I see her somewhere…? Eh, I guess it doesn't matter anymore anyway." Subaru muttered quietly under his breath after a long drawn-out yawn.

He had only just woken up so his senses were slightly dulled. That's most likely the reason he couldn't figure out where his head was currently resting.

"huh? I'm sure my pillow wasn't as soft as this before, heck it doesn't even feel like a pillow. It sure as hell is comfortable though. I feel like I'm heaven."

Subaru turned from his side to lie flat on his back to try and experience as much of this strange, unreasonably comfortable sensation as much as possible.

"Master~Your awake right?"

hearing the girl's voice who was supposedly from his dreams he opened his eyes and froze in shock.

What was above him were two large mountains, the young girl's oversized breasts.

He jumped up as soon as he realized what was above him only for his head to hit the underside and cause the girl who was over him to yelp.

"Ah, Master~! What are you doing! You only just woke up you can't do anything lewd like that."

"no, no I was just trying to get up, okay! It's just that those massive things were in the way!"

When he looked back at the girl he realized where his head had previously resided. The girl had seemingly given Subaru a lap pillow after he passed out.

Subaru would act embarrassed and innocent but in reality, he was cursing himself for not being conscious during the moment of bliss.

"Whatever you say master." the girl said teasingly.

"I promise it's true… haaah, never mind. Anyway, could you please tell me who you are and where I am? I seriously need to know I might be late to get back home, I can't have my parents worrying you know."

"Fine, fine, I'll lay along master since your so insistent."

"I am the great sage's apprentice Shaula who guards the Pleiades watchtower! Now that master is back I don't have to guard the tower and I can do all sorts of things." As she made such a great announcement she began giggling in joy imagining all of the things she could now do.

"Huh?"

To Subaru absolutely none of that made sense.

You might be wondering why I made this a separate fic. Well, it's mostly cause the rewrites are so drastic that if I edited chapter 1 nothing would make sense plus chapter editing is shit on this website.

I've basically changed the entire 1st chapter since this one is five times longer than the other 1st chapter. Also tried to make stuff like descriptions a little less detailed since I went into that shit for like 6 lines lol.

Please tell me what you like and don't like about the rewrite.

Also, Shaula lap pillow let's gooo.
