System updated

Title - Fun is bad except when it's not.

You have slept. All stamina and health is restored.

...Oh, that's nice. Sleep was just as good as ever… If I had those memories.

Well, then, what's the update for?

We had the startling realization one day that because most of you are missing all your memories, you guys don't exactly know what you have in your hands. So! To balance this, you get your previous life's memories, but only of games, shows, and other entertainment mediums. Of course, there's balance changes in here too. - Gaienyan

General [Memories, Minions, Difficulty]

Classes [Warriors, Rangers, Mages]

Species [Old gods, Archons]

...Well, looks like I have a lot to read.

General

You now have memories of your previous life attaining to games, anime, tv shows, and etc.

Minion limit has been increased to 10 every level. Some summoners were having a hard time clearing content at lower levels, so this should be fine. - Aodare

Some extreme level enemies have their levels lowered, but will still be the same power level. Threat level still works too, but I'm sure you could've figure that out on your own - Sentrot

The memories sound really good… The extreme is a bit… eh, since I won't be able to accurately tell how hard they're going to be, but then again, I just beat someone in their 30s while I'm level 6, so it's probably fine.

Classes

Warrior's charge ability now has a 3 second cool down. Watching someone charge from person to person and going super fast was funny as shit, but nah we're not letting that happen. - Skryb

Warrior's false swipe ability is now unlocked at level 10 instead of level 20.

Ranger's critical hit ratio on hitting headshots is now lowered. Yeah, it was cool watching everyone die in 1 hit because you hit their head, but that's a bit unfair. - Perri.

Frost mage's slow is reduced from 20% to 15%.

Aerokinesis mage's winds will no longer be able to pick up yourselves at lower levels. Don't worry, if you're a lightweight, you'll still be able to fly with this. It's just that others will have to level up a bit first to do it. - Skytoss

Necromancer's communicate dead ability is now unlocked at level 40 instead of 35.

Arcane mage's damage output has been slightly decreased. Some of your things were a bit overtuned, so obviously we can't really let that happen. -Aodare

Hm… Well, 3 seconds isn't that bad. And false swipe… is a pokemon thing? It leaves the target at 1 health in the games, so it's probably like that.

...Oh, the memories are already affecting me… Well, that's good I guess. I'll have to think about it more later.

Species

Old god's corruption will now spread through walls. No clue why it didn't before - Sentrot

Old god's corruption rate is now slightly higher.

Old god's burrow ability is now unlocked at level 15 instead of level 20.

Old god's whisper ability is now unlocked at level 20 instead of level 25.

Old god's grant power ability is now unlocked at level 30 instead of level 50.

Old god's create minion ability is now unlocked at level 30 instead of level 25.

Old god's tendril ability is now unlocked at level 10 instead of level 15.

Old god's create minion ability now ignores minion limits. A few of these didn't make any sense on why they unlocked at that level before, so we've made those changes to better suit the fantasy of an all corrupting old god. - Aodare.

Archons no longer loses the gamer ability after the loss of a gnosis. Archons will now have half their original stats after the loss of a gnosis. - Making you lose all your powers was a bit harsh, so we've made the change to only half of it. - Aodare.

Archon's elemental abilities can now be slightly customized to fit your style more.

Archon's create mortal form ability is now unlocked at level 10 instead of 25.

...Woah. Alright, ignoring the archon stuff for a moment because it doesn't affect me… buff, buff, buff, buff, buff, nerf, buff, buff. Woah, they're really hammering home how powerful I should be… if, you know, I had my original body all ready to use.

...Curse you, modifiers.

Well, with this, I now slightly know what things I'm looking forward to, like being able to create minions with no limits on it at level 30. Sounds stupidly overpowered, so I guess my goal is to not die by then.

I still have no idea what my corruption looks like, but since it goes through walls now, and my mortal form can spit it, I'm sure I'll see it soon.

Everything else… is good. I'm not really sure what else to call it.

Well, I guess I should be getting ready to leave to do… villainous things.

...Maybe a quick recap of the world I'm in while I'm here.

Akiya

Decrease her damage output!? Why… Ah, whatever. She should be fine right now anyways, since saving people basically gives her a level every time… Maybe she should go out of Musutafu for her vigilante activities. She hasn't actually encountered any heroes yet, but if she meets Eraserhead and he recognizes her voice… Ah, wait, why don't I just stop talking?

...No, that's stupid… Maybe I can rely on the gacha to give me something that hides my voice? But when has trusting a slot machine ever gone well… Well, she does have a few tokens she can get from busting a trafficking ring nearby, maybe her modifier will kick in and she'll get lucky…

Zavvox

So! Using my vague past memories that I now have… I still barely know the surface. It looks like I watched the anime once and never touched it again… Shit.

Well, at least I know some names that I need to find, avoid, or kill, like that Shigaraki villain who's the main antagonist, or the All for One person who shows up one episode and gets arrested and doesn't elaborate.

...And All Might. Definitely have to avoid All Might for now.

Well, it's day time and I need experience to get to a higher level, so… I guess I'll just go around killing heroes until I get on low health? Maybe I should get out of the city… Eh, it's 5...4, days until the entrance exam, so maybe I should hide somewhere around there to see if I can find the other player.

Well, that's for another day. Now is the day to…

System updated.

Title - contracts.

Eh? I could've sworn you updated like, a few minutes ago… maybe while I was sleeping.

So we've noticed a lot of you are having good times, that's great! Because that's our goal here. To make you all happy and force all of you to take that happiness away from each other! Well, some of you are having extremely boring days right now because all you can do right now is save people or kill people for experience, and nothing else. So! Our new contract system should help you get that little bit of grinding to be able to do things in your world! - Gaienyan

Added in the Contract system.

More details are in the system itself, by the way, it's in your menu, so have fun! - Gaienyan

...Contracts? Well, maybe it gives out something good…

Contracts.

Mini quests designed to give you something to do! Contracts are handed out by different developers, and will give mostly experience and the occasional gacha token.

Some contracts lead to quest chains which will give you more rewards, but we'll let you find that out on your own.

Only 3 contracts can be taken at a time.

...So they're quests given by the devs in order to stop us from doing nothing all day? Well, I guess that's a nice idea… Well, I guess I should check some of these out.

Soul of Destruction [Skryb]

Kill 10,000 heroes that are higher level than you.

Reward: 10,000 experience. 10 gacha tokens.

A simple and easy contract, you should be able to do it in a few days. If you can't, you're a weenie.

...What. That's nice and all, but 10,000? On like, the third day? Skryb, you're insane and asking way too much.

Expanding Empire [Aodare]

Get 5 people on your side.

Reward: 5,000 experience.

A villain should always have someone next to your side acting as a henchman, so I would highly suggest you find people who want to stand next to you.

Something a bit more reasonable… But I guess most things are more reasonable than killing 10,000 heroes.

Live Fear [Paradise]

Eat a person alive in front of an audience.

Reward: 4,500 experience. 1 gacha token.

The fear that someone feels while being eaten alive is unparalleled, I would like for you to feel their fear and you will feel what I have felt.

...You know, I don't think these guys are sane.

Common King [Jaeger]

Kill 1 elite enemy. An elite enemy will spawn after taking the contract and you will gain a compass pointing in its direction.

Reward: 4,500 experience. 1 gacha token.

An introduction to killing the elite enemies that we occasionally spawn in worlds to spice things up.

Sounds good, but they occasionally spawn them in worlds to spice things up? These guys are lunatics…

Territorial Animal [Crowned]

Take control of a space and make it your territory.

Reward: 1,500 experience.

Every villain should have a main base, so take control of a land and make it your main base.

That's also good, but I'm stuck inside of a prison, so that might be my main base already…

Well, those are all the contracts I can take so… I'll take the contracts that Aodare, Jaeger, and Crowned give.

You have accepted 3 contracts.

Expanding Empire, Common King, Territorial Animal.

Contracts given by: Aodare, Jaeger, Crowned.

Rewards: 5,000 experience. 4,500 experience, 1 gacha token. 1,500 experience.

Cool! I guess I should-

Contract: Territorial Animal complete.

Reward: 1,500 experience.

You have leveled up 1 time. [6 to 7] [1010/1771]

You have gained 10 stat points.

You have gained skill: Execute.

...Huh? Wait, when I said that my prison is my main base, I wasn't expecting it to be serious…

...I'll take it though. Put those stat points into… strength, and let's see my skill.

Str: 30 to 40 [80/320]

[Execute - when the enemy is below 20% health, you can use execute in order to directly hit their flesh. Triples your damage when execute is used. Costs 500 stamina every use.]

Cool… So if I just get their health to 20%, I can use execute and cut off a limb or something without having to rely on critical hits? Super useful.

Uh, well, since I have another contract… Well, eating someone for a contract is a super slippery slope into eating people for fun…

You have accepted 1 contract.

Live Fear.

Contract given by: Paradise.

Rewards: 4,500 experience, 1 gacha token.

Well, what can I say, I'm a gambling addict, I guess. Eating someone alive is a small price to pay for a gacha token.

...Wait, I've been side tracked… I've been meaning to kill someone for experience, but I guess this is fine too.

...Where did this compass come from? Oh, right, the contract from Jaeger… wasn't that name from Attack on Titan? Maybe he just copied it.

Well, regardless, this compass points in the opposite direction of Musutafu, so there I go!

After a relatively short walk in the woods, I found the enemy I was looking for.

Rat King [Elite]

Level 30

Hp: 5,000

Notable stats:

Str: 130

Dex: 100

End: 105

Threat level: 8

...What the fuck. This rat is more powerful than Rockruff… Can I even harm it?

Well, this body is always dispensable… Ah, screw it, what's the worst that can happen? Charging in with Grasscutter from behind, I hit the Rat King on its back and…

120 damage dealt.

Rat King [4,880/5,000]

Shit.

The Rat King starts to scream and he lunges dangerously fast into me, which I thankfully dodged to the side.

Alright, fuck. This is definitely something worthy of the elite title. Holding Grasscutter again, I tried to aim for the eyes, but the rat king jumped ABOVE me and attacked from above. It's a miracle that I dodged that with my 40 dexterity…

Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same for the headbutt coming at me and knocking me back a substantial distance.

You have taken 700 damage

Zavvox [2,300/3,000]

FUCK. This rat needs to fucking die. Alright, I'll just aim for its eyes and pray to whatever developer is watching me that I get a crit or something.

Dodging the tail that was coming at me, I took a slash at its tail dealing…

You have dealt 100 damage

Rat King [4,780/5,000]

Sad amounts of damage.

Dodging the swipe of the tail that came after, I used charge to try to go for its eyes, but it dodged that too, and I got hit again with another headbutt.

You have taken 900 damage.

Zavvox [1,400/3,000]

They summon these things for shits and giggles!?

"You insolent rat! I will personally drag you to hell! There won't be an afterlife for you! Only the eternal void!"

SHIT I DIDN'T MEAN TO SAY THAT.

The Rat King has been scared.

Rat King's defense has been nullified for 1 minute.

Rat King's speed has been halved for 1 minute.

Wai- DEUS EX MACHINA! THANK YOU!

Taking advantage of the moment, I ran for its eyes and managed to get through straight into its skull.

4,000 damage dealt.

Rat King [780/5,000]

I didn't stop there, because I activated execute and ended up severing its head from its body.

The Rat King [Elite] has been killed.

Contract: Common King has been completed.

You have gained 4,500 experience and 1 gacha token.

You have leveled up 2 times [7 to 9] [1791/2142]

You have gained 20 stat points.

You have gained skills: Show vision

God, was that the gimmick? It's super strong but it gets scared easily?

...I really have to thank my dramatic modifier there… Actually saved my life. Well, this form's life, but I'd have to wait a whole week doing nothing, which is basically discount purgatory, so basically saving my life.

Uh, to avoid this crisis of getting down to half health every time I fight… put these 20 points into… endurance.

End: 10 to 30 [60/240] [Sp: 4,500/36,000]

...Holy. Am I ever going to even use most of that stamina? Probably not, huh…

So, other than that… the skill?

[Show vision - shows a target a vision that can either be real or not real. The time the vision is shown and the effectiveness of the vision will vary depending on your level. Costs 1,000 mana]

...So it's a cool thing to show people something? Something like… showing their destroyed homes? That's wicked.

Also, I should really invest into wisdom or something in the future.

...Now, am I forgetting something?

...Ah, right, the gacha, taking it into my claws… wait, I have only 20 luck in this body, what if I give it to my main body?

Putting the token into my inventory and grabbing it with a tentacle with my main body, I break the token.

[Drone [Starcraft 2] - Legendary - creates a drone from starcraft 2. Acts like a minion and gains all benefits from being your minion. All zerg created from this minion will be locked to tier 1 units.]

...Huh… Starcraft 2… Starcraft 2… Starcraft… OH SHIT.

Did I just get a world conquering swarm right in my hands? This is legendary!?

Wait, this says it acts like a minion… was there supposed to be a limit to how many zerg can spawn? But since I don't have a limit since the very latest patch…

Oh, developers, I'm so sorry. You trusted me with all this power in the hopes of a fair and balanced match, but it so isn't. The tier 1 limit isn't even that bad, because I can just make an infinite amount of zerglings.

Quest modified

...Eh?

The Enemy

You MUST personally kill the opposing player for this quest to count.

...Oh, they heard me. I guess there goes the plan of just swarming him with zerg…

I still can swarm everything else. Ah, the future looks bright for me and dark for everyone else...

Omake

Ainz Ooal Gown

...I can't believe it.

Why are two of the NPCs fighting!?

...He really shouldn't say things like that when he knows exactly why… Those two were the NPCs that we used back in that one patch where we were able to control NPCs for a little while.

Touch Me and Ulbert made a magic caster and a warrior just to see if they could fight, and once they confirmed they can, they left the NPCs there, and then Tabula came in after the patch ended and the feature was removed and the NPCs were left unused and modified them to be eternal enemies and to be essentially players…

...With no limit.

And since this new world made all the lore in the NPC backgrounds real...

Shoot, will Azmogalor and Noble out-level himself and the other NPCs after a while? Should he nip this in the bud before it gets too out of control? Maybe he can send in Demiurge to handle it?

Ah… this is too complicated! I don't want the NPCs to fight each other!

I definitely feel like I'm shit at fight scenes, because they're all like 15 lines long and they all end the same way.

The little zerg thing may or may not bite me in the ass in the future, but I said that I would add zerg and I'm (mostly) a man of my word.

...Maybe I shouldn't have added this too early, and the band-aid of being only able to create an infinite amount of only tier 1 units (zerglings, banelings, roaches, overlords, and queens) isn't enough.

Well, if I try hard enough, I can always just ignore it until I need it to show up again.

Also, please, give me more player names. I'm literally coming up with them out of nowhere. Or somewhere, idk.

Also, I thought I should maybe reply to my reviews, but since I don't have much, I've just been holding it off and I haven't really replied to any of them. So I'll do that now.

Ulrictheold [Chapter 1 & 2] - there is nothing I would enjoy more in the world than to peer pressure you into making a pvp gamer fic. Jk. But if you get the first chapter out, I've basically won and reached my objective, so yay. I'll still continue this fic though, unless some unexplainable catastrophe happens.

Broldakka [Chapter 1 & 3] - *says hmmmmmmm* *says good continue* *doesn't elaborate* *Leaves* what a chad.

Aadarm [Chapter 1] - Yeah, Zavvox is chronically stupid, this is like one of the main things I'm trying to do. Fair if you don't like it… Maybe I'm stupid for making an old god warrior, but you know, shits and giggles beats brains and logic. [1% of the time]

Cole Bloodrose [Chapter 1] - Yo, I saw this as my first review and it made me think "Wait I couldn't have forgotten to mention how Zavvox would get out that's like the most important thing" but then I go back to realize I DID mention how Zavvox would get out by getting Aodare to explain it to another developer. I fully understand the experience of accidentally skipping a few lines and accidentally not reading something vital to the story. Because I've done it before. No worries.
