From his extremely cool and dark mask, All for One starts to talk, "Well, Zavvox! What a surprise, when I couldn't break your cell, I would've thought it'd take you months to get out yourself! Instead, you've gotten out within a few days. Truly, you have my commendation."
As he started walking towards my extremely undefended body, I realized something really important that I should've thought about beforehand.
My main body has literally no protection other than itself right now. And now the world's most powerful villain was literally walking up to me.
You know, I'm something of a forward thinker myself.
"All for One," I started, trying to salvage the situation, "What is the meaning of your intrusion?"
All for One got closer to my body and started to raise his hand towards one of my limbs, "Oh, I just wanted to try out a little something…"
This guy wanted to steal my ability? Even with all my hesitation being around this guy, I don't think that's going to work…
As he started to touch my tentacle legs, it became clear to the 3 people in the room that nothing was going to happen.
...All for One was standing suspiciously still though, as if he was experiencing some kind of vision or something… Maybe it was just the corruption all around the room and some of my perks getting to him.
All for One, living almost 200 years, was a master at getting away from awkward conversations he didn't want to get into, however. "Ah, It appears that it did not work… Hm, in that case, would you like for me to send you a small gift?"
...Do I really want to say no to this guy's face right now? Probably not… "Very well, I shall permit this."
All for One doesn't even give a nod as he walks back towards Kurogiri, "I see, then in that case, I shall see you again."
And then they both left without saying a word…
...I think I just averted a crisis? I'm still alive, so that must be a victory for me… Uh, how long has it been?

Uh, in other news, that imprisoned modifier change is really bad… I know Akiya is on hard mode, but what does that mean for the difficulty of my guards? Are they going to be cakewalks for them to go through the prison? Is it going to be easy for me to go through the prison?

Eh… I guess that's good for the future generation of players who have to play through this system, but that's none of my problem… Uh, maybe give the starting players more of their memories though? I suppose I must give him some credit, his supposed arrogance made me underestimate him for just the slightest moment."
Fooling me into coming to him by making me think he's not strong enough to go for a simple girl he couldn't be bothered to describe? Why, if he wasn't the target of such deceptions, he would be impressed.
"Truly? Zavvox was visibly struggling to come up with an answer to my question of his long term plans. Could it be that he's simply just making things up as he goes?"
Ah, he had thought that same idea as well when he saw the recording of Kurogiri and Zavvox's conversation… But it seems as if he had planned that too.
He shook his head, "No, even if he doesn't truly have the most solid grasp on his future, I'm sure we're dealing with something more than a human here… How exciting, this year is shaping up to be an eventful one, isn't it?"
Kurogiri simply agrees with him, "I believe it is."
Hm, he should see what would happen long-term if someone had to face what he had faced back in that chamber…
After all, that empire that was shown to him was quite terrifyingly beautiful… He should make sure that when the time comes that Zavvox shows his true power, that power isn't faced at him.
Perhaps he should scrap the plan to kill him, after all, Zavvox seems to be much more useful alive currently… Even if he is quite stuck in his prison.

The city I chose to go to this time is the nice and wonderful city of Deika. It was noted to have it's location a bit closer to where canon takes place, so it must be a somewhat important spot in the world.
Coming to the city, it looks pretty unremarkable, I don't know why this city was important enough to get a mention in the patch notes earlier, but I guess that's what most cities before their plot moments feel like.

Clocking in with about 1900 words of actual chapter, this is probably the shortest chapter I've done and it's for a simple reason. I'm stuck with no inspiration with no reviews to help me with ideas, so I'm kind of just introducing things and hoping my brain will strike gold on its own.
And maybe just a lack of motivation to write right now, but feeling bored enough to write anyways.
Also, I noticed the reviews stopped after the 10th chapter. Man, people must've really hated that 11th chapter, huh? Which is kind of concerning, considering that's the chapter where the 2 players first meet…
So instead of waiting for reviews on my fic, during the process of writing this chapter, instead of writing it, I went to other fics and… Ahem, "took inspiration" from their reviews since every fic other than mine seems to be bursting with them.
The reviews I looked at had some very enlightening things, such as in one gamer fic, it was noted that the mc of that fic was really inconsistent in how they fought in either the state of blundering fool and god killing machine which I think I'm having my mc falling into that dark pit of not taking shit too seriously and having fight scenes being too dull or just being skipped because I'm not good at writing them so I just skip it.
That review was kind of harsh to the writer, but I guess their failures are mine to take a look at so I don't repeat it.
...I'm definitely going to repeat it.
Uh, next chapter, I guess I'll finish the contract with the whole 100 dead people thing, and maybe if I can write it in a convincing way, finish the joy of destruction contract I put there since forever.
Might be a tall order for me to somehow convince readers to say that Zavvox is actively killing 11 heroes suddenly after having a hard time with just 1, if you ignore the part where last chapter, Zavvox cleaned up like 6 heroes easily, including Manual, who was supposed to be stronger than everyone else since he was a canon character or something.
Maybe I should stop writing 1 garbage chapter every day and instead try to read another good gamer fic to see what they're doing in order to pad out times in between the big plot moments. It'll be my homework or something. Except that I suck at homework.
I've also been having thoughts of a doppelganger rogue gamer fic and I've been really wanting to think about that, but at the same time, I don't really want to leave this fic into the never-finished zone before it even reaches the USJ…
But, once again, I'm having a hard time coming up with believable reasons why any of the players would even think about resting for a few days when there's another player wanting to kill them, so getting to those big important canon moments is kind of hard without me having to forcibly make the year shorter just so they can reach that far.
I did say that I would let them do off-screen grinding, but I have no idea where's a good idea to put their levels at.
