So... uhm... hey?

I know it has been pretty quiet around this story for a long time now (over a year I believe?), but even now I still receive questions on when ( and IF) I am going to continue this story. I posted an explanation on this matter on reddit, since I originally shared the story there, but since it clearly hasn't reached everyone, I think I will explain my plans and thoughts once more!

First off, let me apologize in case this got your hopes up for an update! It's just info, sorry...

With that out of the way, let me clear up the most obvious question: Is the fanfiction going to be continued?

NO!

Is the STORY going to be continued though... yes?

Let me explain:

So basically, the reason for writing this fanfiction was the lack of quality stories revolving around Riveria (that changed a little since I initially started and I would like to believe that my story at least helped with that, even if only a little).

When I first starting writing, I didn't really intend to write much of a story really. Any creative writing I ever did so far happened in the realm of smut, so really, I wasn't even really interested in trying to create an actual story. Just some mindless smut that people could enjoy.

Originally, I hadn't even planned for a lovestory between Bell and Riveria! It just so happened that I (and some of the earlier readers) grew fond of the pairing, and so I stuck with it. I was still just doing mindless smut though! Just... I enjoy my smut with a bit of story, so I didn't just mindlessly let them f*** each other, instead trying to spin some background on why they were getting closer. And with that... I unintentionally created a story. A story that even I enjoyed!

In the end, there was a problem with that though. Basically, I know that a lot of people were probably just reading my story for the lewd parts, however I didn't really want to focus on those anymore. I wanted to create an actual story, one that wasn't based around somehow making the smut seem more reasonable! I trust that some people would probably keep reading even if I stopped including any sexual scenes but... it still felt wrong to now take a serious turn and focus on story after everything started out as silly smut.

That is why I decided to discontinue this fanfiction.

Now as I said though, I like this story, so I won't completely abandon it! I decided to do a rewrite of the story. I wanted to set this story onto some secure foundations. Personally, I don't think the story won't contain any lewdness at all, simply because it is a by-product of romance, but I just didn't want to start out with it right away.

I already finished up six chapters of the rewrite, however there is a reason why I didn't post those yet, or gave this explanation earlier, that being: Time.

I don't have any of it...

At least, that's how it seems to me. Despite liking the story and wanting to rewrite it, I barely managed to write six chapters in roughly 5 months. There is simply going to be long breaks in between chapters and since I know how frustrating that can be for a reader when you are invested in the story, I was thinking of completely finishing the story before I upload it. Now whether I will do that or not... well, honestly, that depends on your reactions to this post. I mean, I don't mind uploading it I suppose just... there is likely going to be long breaks in between chapters...

Anyway, I believe that pretty much wraps up this explanation!
