...

Before leaving the village, Sakura had been confronted by Fugaku Uchiha and his behavior was rather peculiar so it wasn't surprising when Kaneki asked, "So, what was that about with the Uchiha clan's leader?" The five adults were jumping tree to tree and had been jumping for an hour already by the time his curiosity had gotten the best of him.

After thinking of how to describe it because she was unaware of Mori's feelings towards outsiders and the sharingan. "I developed a technique that the Uchiha clan could benefit from, but Fugaku had turned down before he even saw it. When he did he regretted his decision and tried to take it back." Sakura knew the whole group could hear her because they were all traveling close to one another in their pentagonal formation. At the point was Hitoshi followed by the twins, on the left was Kuu and Kaneki on the right, and Sakura behind Kuu with Mori to her right. Mori froze for a split second but quickly recovered from his shock.

For something to cause Fugaku to go back on a decision it must have been impressive. "What kind of technique?" Mori asked. He knew about the stigma that came with talking about the sharingan with outsiders, but he never really cared about it anyways. Plus, he was curious about what Fugaku had kept the clan from because of his beliefs.

"Of the medical variety." Sakura tapped by her eye with her free hand when Mori was looking at her. "The family business doesn't need to just be limited to the younger generation." It wasn't hard for Mori to understand her meaning. The sharingan lead to vision loss when used. Uchiha men would be nearly blind by the age of 30 because of the stress the sharingan put on their eyes. Mori was miffed at Fugaku. He was tempted to head back and tell the clan what he'd done. Instead, Mori decided to wait. When he got back to the village, he would do just that.

"How bad was his rejection?" Hitoshi asked from two branches ahead.

"Just as any clan leader who feels an outsider is sticking their nose where it doesn't belong, like he was about to kill me. You could feel the intent in the air." Sakura scoffed. The look of desperation on his face as she was leaving was like just deserts.

"Miss Haruno!" Sakura heard her name being called by a familiar voice behind her. Fugaku had shouted as he crossed the dirt path to where Sakura stood at the entrance of the village. His wife was following behind him closely as she tried to find out why he was acting so frantic. He had left the house as soon as he woke up. The only difference was he had dressed himself so he was no longer in his pajamas. His hair was wild and all over the place. "Please just give me a moment of your time." He begged. Sakura looked at her four escorts then back at Fugaku.

"Just for a moment. We have to head out soon." She walked over towards Hitoshi, Kaneki, Kuu, and Mori. "Stay right her while I go speak with Mr. Uchiha." She set Haru down next to the four leaf shinobi. Behind her Fugaku could be seen combing his hair with his fingers so it appeared tamer.

"Ok!" Haru dug his sandals in the sand as a little show that he wouldn't move an inch. This brought a smile to Sakura's lips as she chuckled. She ruffled his hair which made him laugh. This child was growing on her.

"Haru is such a good boy." Sakura spoke softly. Turning back towards the desperate Uchiha her body language showed she would take no shit. "What is this about? I am about to head out and would like to do so in a timely manner." Sakura said as she stood a decent distance from the Uchihas.

"Please delay your trip. I'd like to take you up on your offer from last night." Fugaku's tone was rather demanding despite being a man who was asking for something. The chuckle that he received from the medic was a surprise.

"The offer is no longer available. My trip cannot be delayed. Besides, you've already refused my help." Sakura turned to leave when Fugaku grabbed her arm. She whipped around grabbed his wrist. With chakra laced strength she squeezed his wrist. He winced. "You don't have the right to lay a hand on me. You made your choice so live with it." She leaned forward and whispered in his ear, "Maybe you should focus on bettering yourself instead of looking for unrivaled power. An alliance is better than force." She hints at knowing his plan for taking over the village.

"Wha-"

"You should go get that checked out. I don't have the time to heal it." Sakura tossed over her shoulder and went back to the waiting Haru. "If we shall meet again, I will properly introduce myself Miss Uchiha." She truly wished the man would have done as she hoped, but that's too much to ask for. She shook her head as she left.

"Damn." Hitoshi chuckles dryly.

Mori didn't care about clan politics or policies so was forward. "What even was it? I don't care about what the clan leaders want, they have only treated me as a bug." Sakura felt bad for the guy. No one should be treated in such a manner.

"I developed a jutsu to heal the damage caused by the use of the sharingan." Sakura thought she heard something or someone following behind them, so she grabbed a kunai at an undetectable speed only to hide it in front of her body. She whistled three high pitched, short whistles to alert her companions. "If done properly and regularly the rate of sight loss would be decreased if not completely preventable."

"That fucking asshole!" Mori responded. This statement was directed not only at Fugaku but those who were following behind them. Each of the travelers grabbed their own kunai in response to the signal. "I'm not even surprised at this point. How many have you used it on?" Mori activated his sharingan. He felt the mostly masked chakra signature gaining on them.

"Two." Sakura didn't see the need to elaborate into who they were or the means of them receiving the sharingan in Kakashi's case. "One was near blindness when I started. The last I saw of him he could still see crystal clear." She had completed her last appointment with Kakashi two months before her first slip.

'You going to use it on him after this?' Inner asked. Pastel was unusually quiet.

'I don't see why not. He's only out here because of me.' Sakura thought. The tail was close enough that as she jumped to the next branch she whipped around and tossed it at the nin who was within sight. The ninja had been landing when the kunai was thrown so as he landed it lodged itself into his knee just as Sakura planned. His shout of pain and surprise was the signal that the battle had started.

Sakura summoned a clone and sent Haru away in the protective hold of the clone. "Listen to the clone Haru. She will take care of you." The boy was scared and shaking but nodded in agreement either way. As the two disappeared into the woods, the five leaf village shinobis were engaged in battle with ten ninjas in undescriptive, blank outfits. There had been no distinguishing marks on any of them.

The nin with the kunai in his knee as well as another had gone to face Sakura as the rest attacked her traveling companions 2-v-1. The uninjured enemy came at Sakura with a kunai in his left hand, and as she dodged, he went to punch her with his right. She bobbed and weaved out of the way of these attacks. His speed was admirable, but it wasn't that impressive as she had faced faster. With a chakra enhanced punch she punched him in the stomach, sending him flying through three trees, with a loud "CHA!" She whirled around just in time to catch the bloody kunai that had been returned to her. The previously injured nin's hand signs had began, but Sakura had tossed the kunai right back at him. This time it didn't land in either of his knees but in his left hand. The Kunai effectively stopped his fire style jutsu before it was finished. The hand was pinned to his abdomen. She flash-stepped towards him and roughly chopped the back of his neck and caught him before he fell from the tree. She laid him at the base of the tree and bound him to it with strands of her chakra. Then she went and found the nin who she'd sent flying and found him already knocked out.

Mori was fighting a female and male ninja not far from Hitoshi who was fighting two males. Mori was quick to trap the short male in a genjutsu. The man believed he was in a heated battle with Mori. Instead, his female partner was the one battling the Uchiha. Mori side stepped a particularly powerful left hook. He grabbed her arm at the elbow and pinned her arm behind her back. She continued to struggle against his hold, so he sharply pushed the arm up. Mori had used enough force to not only dislocate her shoulder but also snap her Radius and Ulna due to the twist he added at the end. Her scream was heard by her partner as he snapped out of the genjutsu. Sweat was pouring down his mostly covered face. Mori tossed a kunai at the man and it was lodged into his heart nearly to the hilt.

Hitoshi was going against two men who seemed to be very skilled in 2-v-1 battle. As one would charge him, the other would prepare a brigade of kunai and shuriken for an attack when Hitoshi would dodge. The rain of blades was avoided as Hitoshi substituted himself with a log. He reappeared behind the first male and dug a kunai deep into the side of the man's neck. Foolishly the man pulled the Kunai out causing his blood to spurt out across Hitoshi's face. His partner uttered a curse and glanced around. The other battles weren't looking so good, so he decided to book it. Hitoshi didn't let this happen. He flash-stepped before him and blew a fire ball in front of him. The man was unable to escape because Hitoshi had been choking back the fireball before he even passing the man on his right.

Sakura had no time to bind her second opponent with the other because she heard the pained yelp of Kuu. Kuu was struggling with the two shinobi she was facing. One was a woman a few inches taller than her ad the other was a male who was a good foot taller and was bulky in a muscular way. The yelp had been caused by the male back handing her as the female had been recovering from Kuu's attack. Kaneki, Mori and Sakura rushed to her aid but it wasn't before the female had tossed a kunai that landed in Kuu's lower right abdomen. Kaneki and Mori had already taken down their opponents. The four nin were dead. Sakura flash stepped above the large man. The two leaf nin were exchanging blows with the masked man and woman. With a swift swipe of his sword, Kaneki sliced the female's throat. As she laid bleeding out on the forest floor Kaneki spat in her face. "You shouldn't have hurt my sister," were the last words she ever heard before finally bleeding out. Sakura landed on the man's shoulders and wrapped her legs securely around his neck. She grabbed his head and began to twist his head. He was struggling but with a little bit of chakra enhancements she snapped his neck like a twig. She jumped off of his shoulders and went straight to healing Kuu.

"Let me see the wound." Sakura demanded in full medic mode. Her henge was taking too much chakra to sustain so she dispelled the jutsu and pushed the injured woman's hands away. Sakura's hands immediately replaced them and her chakra entered the wound and started stitching her back together. "Follow the broken trees and grabbed the unconscious one. The other is bound to a tree." From the blood vessels to organs then her skin, Kuu was seamlessly stitched back together. Sakura sent her will, for the clone to return with Haru, out through the bond between her and her clone. "We will stay here for the night. Kuu's body need time to adjust." She glanced at the blood on her hands and went east for the river so she could wash her hands of the blood before Haru was to arrive.

Sakura was quick to wash the blood away and grabbed a few fish, with the help of her chakra strings. She saw no need to dawdle so she rushed back to the group. The bodies of the dead ninjas had been carried off to the side and a fire had already been started. Mori was watching over the two surviving attackers. Kaneki and Kuu were resting against the base of a tree next to where the fire was located, and Hitoshi was propped up against one of the now broken trees so he was a back up guard for the prisoners.

"So, what do we know about them?" Sakura inquired. Haru wasn't there yet so there was time to dispose of the bodies properly.

"Uchiha clan members from the Hidden Leaf." Hitoshi rolled his eyes as he held one of the bodies by their hair so that their eyes were visible. It wasn't surprising seeing how desperate Fugaku had been when they were leaving, he's known for doing outlandish things to get what he wanted. The planned coupe. The strict and unrealistic goals for his sons. Something like sending a task force to illuminate her escorts and forcing her back into the village didn't seem too far from the realm of possibility.

"I'll burn the bodies so nobody takes their eyes." Sakura carries the bodies and went off into the woods. Moments later the ground shook a few times and then smoke could be seen by the others from above the treetops. Sakura had made a pit and started a large fire in the pit with a few of the nearby trees as kindling. Once the fire was ready, she tossed each body into the flaming pit one at a time so the fire wouldn't be smothered. Once she started to sense her clone nearby, she made her way back to the group. She left the fire burning because the other two would be joining their friends soon.

"Once the fire stops burning I will put the ashes in a container so that they can be returned to the Uchiha clan." Sakura said just before her clone and Haru came into hearing distance.

"Sister!" Haru's voice could be heard calling out from between the trees. Her clone was carrying him at a near full run. Haru was practically jumping from the clone's arms when he was in arms reach of Sakura. "I missed you." He cooed as she took him from the clone and got rid of her. He snuggled close to her. He was happy she didn't leave him behind.

"I missed you too. Were you good for the clone?" Sakura asked already knowing the answer.

"Yes!" Haru nodded as he flashed her an ecstatic smile.

"Such a good boy." Sakura hugged him close. The escorts were kind of scared of her at this point. Here she was holding the small child and treating him as if nothing had happened after she had just kill a man and threw eight bodies into a fire that was still going strong. "Are you hungry? I caught some fish." She Shifted her hold on the boy and had him sitting on her hip.

"Mhm!" Haru responded. Sakura set him down next to the fire and sat beside him. She skewered the fish that she caught and began to cook them. There were enough for everybody to get some so Sakura didn't have to worry about anyone not getting any while they were camped out.

Once Haru had eaten and had washed in the slow current of the river Sakura put him to bed. While the three active escorts decided on who'd take shift the two prisoners regained consciousness. Sakura had a twisted smile on her lips at the sight. "Ah, looks like it's time to get some information."
