![]() Author has written 4 stories for Naruto, and Prince of Tennis. Update Bulletin Board Type Area (for anyone who wants to get a progress report for the next chapter and/or...you know, anything else): 4/24/08 About Me: I procrastinate occasionally and am often extremely busy in real life. But, I won't ever fully abandon anything. Dislikes (Concerning fan fiction, although the presence of any of these does not mean that I won't read, enjoy, and favorite a fic. It just means I prefer their absence)- Song fics. I heart AUs. Unfortunately, AU writers tend to like to put the lyrics to modern songs (normally angst-filled, teen drama ones) in their Naruto is set in a different universe fics. It just loses me a little, because, one, I have a very large variety of musical genres that I enjoy (i.e. The Sex Pistols, Bob Dylan, Mary Prankster, etc.) but none of them are things you would ever find in said fics . Two, even when Naruto is set in a world more like ours, I don't like being reminded of our present. I don't know why. Just don't. -Mary Sues. I love canon. I love crack. I love it when they mix. But, similar to the reason why I dislike song fics, I don't like it when the "outside" world invades the actual Naruverse. This is an especially deadly sin when it is just a fangirl trying to pair a version of herself with whatever character she obsesses over. It's not actually a bad thing, but it just isn't the kind of story I want to read. -Bad grammar, spelling. Betas are incredible things. Although, sometimes bastardizing the English language can be an acceptable style choice, I usually prefer people to at least run through a spell check, before I read their stuff. DX Pretty standard complaints, I suppose. Dislikes (characters in the fandoms I write in): Naruto: I don't hate any character from the story, except for possibly Gaara's dad, Sasuke's dad, and...well, Ebisu kind of bugs the freaking crap out of me. So, there will very rarely be character bashing in my stories. If they act in a way that seems awful and out of keeping with their character, then examine their situation in the story and see if it might be the cause. Prince of Tennis: I also adore nearly all of the Prince of Tennis characters. However, I can't deny that Momo can get on my nerves, and sometimes I understand Bane's desire to punch David for his horrible punning. Dislikes (pairings ...): Naruto: ShikaTem...and, I can't really think of any others. I'm pretty open to Naruto pairings, in general, if the right development is given with the story. Prince of Tennis: I'm actually not a fan of pairings in PoT. And, I will actively seek out fics that don't portray any kind of romantic relations. However, pairings that I specifically won't read for sure are the totally cracked out ones and those featuring characters that have shown zero examples in the latent homosexuality department. I know, I know. Pretty much every character in PoT appears to feel the gay at some point. But, I just tend to be more interested in the idea, when it's left as ambiguously gay humor rather than torrid passion and fucking in the locker room shower. Likes, in order of how much I adore the freaking crap out of them (top 5 characters...): Naruto: 1. Yakushi Kabuto 2. Hatake Kakashi 3. Aburame Shino 4. Hyuuga Neji 5. Rock Lee Prince of Tennis: 1. Inui Sadaharu 2. Kaidoh Kaoru 3. Oshitari Yuushi 4. Kite Eischirou 5. Ibu Shinji (top 5 pairings...) Naruto: 1. Zabuza x Haku 2. Neji x Hinata 3. Naruto x Sasuke 4. Neji x Gaara 5. Lee xSakura/Lee x Ino Prince of Tennis (if I have to pick pairings, then I guess...): 1. Oishi x Eiji 2. Shishido x Ohtori 3. Inui x Kaidoh 4. Oshitari x Gakuto 5. Fuji w/undeniable brother complex or Fuji x Kawamura |
