Here's the third chapter, I'll have more of our best boy appearing in this fanfiction and showing off more of his training, and a whole lot more action. I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Chapter 3: The Ultimate Fighting Duo! Trouble At Strykers? And Return to The Asylum!
Back with Batman, him, Flash, and Green Lantern were coming up with a plan to deal with Brainiac and his invasion.
"There's circling the globe. Larger ships are being positioned over these major cities." Flash pointed out.
"Even with Aquaman's Marines, we're still badly outnumbered." Green Lantern stated. "What's the plan? You have one, right?" He asked Batman.
"We have to evacuate the occupied cities before taking on Brainiac. But we need firepower…" Batman stated, thinking of a few.
"Any heavy hitter left on the Luthor-Wayne payroll?" Green Lantern asked.
"Only Blue Beetle and Firestorm. But they're busy." Batman stated. "There's also the likes of Starfire… and him." He said, thinking about Okuyasu.
"The new guy?" Flash asked. "Is he around?"
"Yeah, but he was on the mission for Gorilla City." Batman told him. "But if I know him, he'll return."
"But are the other guys too busy for this?" Flash asked.
"They're the last line of defense if Brainiac moves on Superman." Batman stated.
"Well, if Brainiac doesn't try busting him out of prison, Black Adam and Wonder Woman will." Flash stated. "And the worse things get, the more people think we should let him out for help."Flash said to everyone, Batman just stared at him. "I'm just saying."
"Hope the new kids can hold down the most wanted man in the galaxy." Green Lantern stated. "Or the new guy is able to handle things."
"Beetle and Firestorm are green. But together, they're the most powerful team we have…" Batman told the two. "And he's far more powerful than the likes of anything he was before."
In the city of Gotham, Okuyasu chooses to split up with Starfire and gear up at the hideout with his "Super Slayer" and other items. At Stryker's Island, Blue Beetle and Firestorm wear guarding against the prisoners.
"For real, James. Batman does not think we're important enough. Aliens are invading and we're on guard duty." Jason complained.
"Guarding Superman and his cronies." James added.
"Who already has guards. We're guarding guards. We're redundant!" Jason stated.
"Jason, you need to take a step back. Take in the bigger picture." Professor Stein told him.
"I'd rather be in here than out there. This suit's an alien war machine." James stated. "And with you guys Firestorm Matrix! We take on Brainiac and boom-accidentally blow up the world!" He pointed out a terrifying thought.
"Jame's is right. We haven't mastered these powers yet." Professor Stein stated.
"Listen to yourselves you two! We're bad-asses! And bad-asses belong on the front lines!" Jason told them, clearly not getting it.
"This is the front line. Brainiac running amok is a crisis. Brainiac and Superman both? That's an apocalypse." Professor Stein stated.
"So we're the only thing between a crisis and an apocalypse?" James asked.
"Hm. I can get behind…" Jason said, getting excited. But then the whole prison shook for a moment.
"Brainiac?" Blue Beetle asked.
"Or the Superman Fan Club." Jason stated.
"Either way, I suggest we fuse." Professor Stein stated, and they fused to become Firestorm.
"Game on." Firestorm said, raring to go.
There was a large hole in the wall of the prison, people were cheering for Black Adam and Wonder Woman to free Superman. Blue Beetle was scanning Superman and the cell to see if there were any changes.
"Red Sun cell's secure. Must be the Power Center." Blue Beetle stated.
"The Power Center! If it goes down, those generators shut off." Firestorm said seriously.
"And he flies outta here." Blue Beetle said, getting worried.
They rush to the Power Center to see the problem, with Superman all by himself, his eyes begin to faintly glow red for a moment. With the other cell he main power turned off and red alert turned on, in Damian Wayne's cell began to shake and the roof got torn off by someone and dropped a bag with his gear before him.
"And I… dreaming?" Damian asked himself in disbelief. He looked up and saw the same blond girl.
Black Adam stood before the generator and floated towards it and used his power to shut it down, Firestorm and Blue Beetle made it to the power center.
"Here's the plan. One of us takes down Adam, the other re-starts the generators before Superman gets loose." Firestorm stated.
"A feeble plan." Black Adam told them. "It is more likely you will die here."
Firestorm and Blue Beetle were deciding who was fighting and who was fixing the generator, Firestorm chose to fight against Black Adam.
"Fix that generator." Firestorm told Blue Beetle, he flew off to do so. Black Adam floats over Firestorm and unleashes a blast of lightning but Firestorm deflects it.
"What magic is this?" Black Adam asked in disbelief.
"Science. Basic impedance field." Firestorm stated.
"Do not condescend, chimera. You may have two minds… but I have the wisdom of a god!" Black Adam said boldly.
Firestorm's first real battle began, Black Adam wasted no time making the first move by throwing a powerful punch across Firestorm's face and knocking him back. He then attacks with a stream of lightning but Firestorm quickly counters with a blast of fire. He then charges at Black Adam and throws a mean left hook then follows up with a fiery fist to his chest and blasts him back. Firestorm creates to ball of atomic energy and throws them at Black Adam, who guards against the attack and counter with bolts of lightning but Firestorm countered by grinding a iron rod and turning it into a lightning rod and direct the attack elsewhere and delivers a fiery right punch to his face Black Adam counters with a left hook and follow up with a right punch and knocks Firestorm back, he slams into a security machine and quickly tip a few button and a drone come flying at Black Adam, he destroys it but it was only a distraction for Firestorm to get in close and hold out both his hand blast Black Adam directly in the chest and blow him away. Black Adam creates balls of lightning and sends them at Firestorm, he quickly guards against them as they hit him.
Black Adam grabs him by the throat and holds his palm and blasts him away with a large bolt of lightning that shocks him and sends him flying. Firestorm picks himself and shakes off the shock and as Black Adam is rushing him, Firestorm quickly counters with an uppercut and follows up with a fiery ax kick that knocks Adam to the metal floor. Black Adam gets up and electrocutes his fist while Firestorm lit his fist on fire and the clash fist in a battle of Lightning and Fire! Firestorm throw a right hook against Black Adam's left cheek then Black Adam retaliate with a left uppercut to his chin but then Firestorm counters with a left straight punch to his chest but Black Adam is able to land right punch to his face, Firestorm wheeze in pain and channel his power and unleash a huge blast of fire that slightly burn Black Adam but he quickly recover and has lightning from adobe strike Firestorm, he hold his hands and tries to block the attack and get shock for a bit but Firestorm then mix his flames with the lightning and send that attack at Black Adam and the releases a explosion and him away through the wall, taking him out of the fight for a bit.
"Schooled you, Mr. Wisdom." Firestorm said with confidence.
The generator was fixed and now running at full steam. Blue Beetle landed right next to him.
"Let's circle back, lock down Superman's cell…" Firestorm stated, Blue Beetle nodded.
"My old man's standards sure have dropped." A voice said, and it was Damain Wayne also known as Robin, now in a red and black suit. "You newbs are so desperate to impress Batman. Why? He's weak…" He said bitterly.
"If your papa's weak, what's that make you?" Blue Beetle asked.
"I take after my mother." Damian stated. Blue Beetle decided to be the one to face off against Damian.
"I'll teach this mocoso a lesson." Blue Beetle stated firmly.
Then turned his arm into an arm cannon and at the former boy wonder, who only frowned after he dodged.
"I hope I never have a kid like you." Blue Beetle stated.
"I was the perfect son. Batman just wasn't fit to be my father." Damian stated.
Blue Beetle charges at Damian and turns his right arm into a blade and goes for a slash but Damian blocks the attack with one of his staff. But Blue Beetle doesn't let up and continues to hack and slash at Damian but he was able to block the attacks and counter with a punch to the face and whack his across the head with his staff and continue with a combo of staff strikes, he swipe his leg and aim his staff at Blue Beetle's throat and scoffs at him. His upperhand didn't last, two insect-like leg from the suit lash at him and try to pierce through his stomach but he a parry them so they only grazed his torso, Blue Beetle recover and turn his left hand into a spiked ball mace slam it directly into his ribcage and knocks him off him. Damian wheezed in pain and spit out a bit of blood and glares at Blue Beetle, the newbie rush at the Wayne to finish him quickly but Damian acts fast and slam his staff against a pipe and unleash a stream of cold mist that freezes Blue Beetle and that let Damian attack with a strong left high kick to knock him back and charges forward to slam his staff direct on top of his head but Blue Beetle it able to block and throw a right punch and push Damian away from him, he see something contacted to a chain and kick it at Damian, he block it and was getting ready to counter but Blue Beetle used that as a distraction to go for a right slash with his arm blade but Damian brace himself but it was another trick, Blue Beetle quickly turn the blade into spikeball mace and the surprise attack knocks Damian back. He continues his attack by charging and hitting Damian with a combo of punches and slam his spikeball into his chest and send him flying, he goes for another but right at Damian swing his staff and activate the shock feature but it was another trick because Blue Beetle turn his right arm into a arm cannon and blast him, taking him out without killing him.
"You should respect your familia." Blue Beetle stated, and flew off. Back at Superman's cell, Cyborg was trying to crack the code to the cell to release Superman.
"Wonder Woman's outside, keeping what's left of the guards busy." Cyborg told him.
"If it wasn't her, who let you out?" Superman asked.
"I did." The same blonde girl from before said, better known as Kara.
"Kara?" Superman asked in shock.
The two just stare at each other both processing a lot. Not too far Firestorm and Blue Beetle were watching the whole thing and were shocked to find out there were two Kryptionians.
"Another Kryptonian!" Blue Beetle said worried.
"You recognize me, Kal?" Kara asked, taken back.
"My parents stored your image on my ship. You're my protector." Superman told her.
"Sorry I'm a few decades late." Kara said, saddened for being so late. "You and I left Kryption at the same time, but the explosion threw my ship off course. Way off course."
"You haven't aged a day." Superman pointed out.
"Hyper-sleep. While you were growing up, I was on ice." Kara stated.
"I never thought I'd see family again. Someone with my eyes. My own blood. You knew my parents…" Superman said, still in disbelief.
"They loved you so much, Kal." Kara told him, softly. But then a rumbling was heard. "Diana needs a hand. Cyborg, how long?" She asked.
"Give me a few more minutes, then it's 'light out'" Cyborg told her.
"I don't want to leave you." Kara told Superman.
"I'll be here." Superman assured her, she smiled and flew off.
"Ella esté sobre tu nivel.." Blue Beetle said in his native language.
"She is not out of our league." Firestorm told Blue Beetle, being able to understand him. "What happened to your confidence?" He asked.
"Kryptonians happened!" Blue Beetle answered.
"C'mon. Batman's counting on us." Firestorm told his friend.
"Gotta hand it to Palmer, his people's cryptography is legit." Cyborg complemented. "Doesn't mean I won't break it." He stated.
"Victor! Behind you!" Superman shouted.
Blue Beetle tries to take him out but he is able to dodge, Cyborg activates his arm cannon and blasts Blue Beetle, he takes a serious hit and is unable to get up at the moment. Firestorm walked up and took his turn to fight.
"What's your melting point, Cyborg?" Firestorm asked.
Then flies at him and fires nuclear flames at Cyborg, he blocks with his energy shield but it looks like it becomes too much for him, so he pushes back the blast and knocks Firestorm back. As the two still fresh heroes get up, the red sun generators shut down.
"The red sun generators!" Blue Beetle said, now concerned.
"We need to reactivate that console before Superman power's up…" Firestorm said firmly.
"Amateur hour's over, rookies." Cyborg told them. Blue Beetle decided to take this one, war machine to war machine, so Firestorm worked on the console.
"I think I got this." Blue Beetle stated. He faced off against Cyborg, he aimed his arm cannon at the rookie. "Sweet arm cannon. I got on too." He showed off his own arm cannon.
"Quiet playing, kid. You even know how to use that?" Cyborg asked.
Blue Beetle proves his skill by firing a blast at Cyborg, he cancels it out by firing his own blast. He then turns his hands into arm blades and slashes at Cyborg, he guards himself from the slashes and counters with a mega robot fist and knocks Blue Beetle to the metal floor. He pick himself and turn his hands into spikeball mace and slams them against Cyborg knocking him and charges forward and continues to bash the former heroes, Cyborg regain himself and fire his arm cannon directly into Blue Beetle's chest to send him flying, he quickly gets up and turn his spikeball mace into arm blade and is able to stab one of them into Cyborg's left shoulder and then stabs the other one in his left and toss him into the metal floor. Blue Beetle tries to hit Cyborg with his arm cannon but he activates his energy shield and blocks the blast then counters with a mega robot fist to the face and follows up with a combo of punches and then blasts him with his arm cannon at full power!
Blue Beetle wheezed in pain and picked himself up, but Cyborg was about to try and finish him off but Blue Beetle activated his shield to block it and blasted him with his own arm cannon and knocked him back. Blue Beetle charges forward while Cyborg meets the charge, they clash mega robot fist and spikeball mace with all their might! Most of Cyborg's body was machine so whatever damage was dealt barely slowed him down while Blue Beetle was getting winded fighting a pro. Blue Beetle turn his right hand into a arm cannon and fires it at full power at Cyborg block with his energy shield but is pushed all the way to wall, Blue Beetle rush Cyborg and unleash a onslaught punches with all his might to try and take the former Regime member, but Cyborg knock him back with his own punch, Blue Beetle felt his face and saw a bit of blood and know it was time to take up to maximum power the blue lines on the armor glow bright blue, he rush and turn both his hand into arm blades and slash Cyborg then bash him with his spikeball mace and then assault him with a barrage of energy blast from his arm cannons and finish it up by turning his two arm cannons into one large arm cannon and blast Cyborg with all his power! Taking out Cyborg.
"If you want tips, let me know." Blue Beetle stated.
Firestorm finished fixing the console and turned the red sun generators on. The two were relieved, this was the second close call they had with Superman.
"Brainiac's too much for Batman to handle. I'm your only chance." Superman told the two. Firestorm and Blue Beetle felt differently about giving his history.
"Here's the thing, Superman. Batman asked us for help. He didn't draft us, make us sign a loyalty oath, or threaten us with jail…" Firestorm told the man of steel.
"He won't go far enough. That's why he'll fail." Superman countered. "And it doesn't matter if that "man" joins him in the fight, he won't stand a chance." He said, thinking about Okuyasu. Then Kara comes flying right for them at full speed and grabs Firestorm.
"Stay away from him!" Kara shouted.
Blue Beetle tries to help out his friend but Wonder Woman grabs him with her lasso and pulls him towards her, Kara tosses Firestorm away from the cell with all her might.
"Kryptionian, huh? The Professor knows how to deal with you." Firestorm told her, then used his powers to create Kryptonite making her grow weak fast.
"Kryptonite…" Kara said weakly. "You're-HNGH!-just as bad-GAH!-as Wonder Woman and Black Adam said…"
"Surrender and this stops…" Firestorm told her.
"Kryptonians don't surrender." Kara told him.
Then hits Firestorm with a one-two and knocks him back. Wonder Woman tosses Blue Beetle away from the cell, the two slowly get up and see if they can continue. Firestorm took the lead this time, not wanting to let the fact go that Kara knocked him back.
"We're freeing Kal-El… like it or not." Kara told them with a sneer. Her and Wonder Woman advancing forward.
"Let's finish this." Firestorm told Blue Beetle, who nodded. He charged at Wonder Woman, she rushed him and both went flying over the edge to the lower level.
"Normally, I don't like hurting people. But after the Kryptonite stunt? You're gonna get hurt." Kara told him.
And she meant it, by throwing a mean right hook across his face sending him flying into the ceiling, Firestorm fell to the metal floor and groaned in pain. He got up and spit out a bit of blood and knew it was time to get serious. He lit his fist on fire and intensified his flames and charges right at Kara and delivered a mean one-two fiery punch as payback and a fiery upwards kick to her chin, making her stagger back. Kara wheeze a bit and counter with a left hook to his face and follows up with right punch to his chest, Firestorm skids across the metal floor and when she charges at him, he hit her with a large stream of fire and then follows up with a right hook that knocks her to the metal floor, he prepare a condense ball of fire and was about to hit her but Kara hits him in the chest of heat vision and knocks him into a wall, Kara charges forward and throw a strong right punch to knock him out but Firestorm dodge the attack and unleash a burst of nuclear fire and blast her away. Kara get up and was slightly burn, Firestorm charge right at her and Kara brace herself and both of the clash fist, Firestorm land a left fiery punch to her face while she hit him across the face with a strong right punch but he follow up with a fiery right hook and Kara counter with a mean left punch then both slam their fist into each other face and both are sent flying.
Firestorm wipes blood from his face and makes his flames even more intense and chunks two fireballs at Kara, she guards against them and when she sees him coming in for another attack she hits him with her freezing breath and stops him cold. She break him out by throwing a powerful gut punch that stuns Firestorm for a moment as he slams into the wall, he grunts in pain and cough up a bit of blood, as he picking himself up Kara hit him with a small whirlwind she created by spinning superfast and that tossed him into the air and makes him fall back down into the metal floor, Firestorm groans and when see Kara get in close to finish him he hit her with a blast of fire, then get up and hit her with a fiery right punches and was about to land another one but Kara block and blast him away with heat vision then freezes Firestorm against with freezing breath, she cracks her knuckle and is ready to send him flying but the ice begin to crack and melt in a few second Firestorm burst from the ice, coated in blue flames. He was done playing around and assaulted Kara with a combo of blue fiery punches and followed with a right kick to the face and then followed up with a large condense ball of blue fire and blasted Kara with all his power and took her out.
"Should've surrendered." Firestorm stated, Blue beetle caught up with him. "Where's Wonder Woman?" He asked.
"Out cold. We won't be seeing her for a while…" Blue Beetle stated.
"Should've surrendered." Firestorm said with a smirk.
"Guey, you took out a Kryptonian!" Blue Beetle said, feeling pumped.
But then Wonder Woman flew right back up and was still ready to continue. All the enemies they fought had regrouped, leaving the two outnumbered and outgunned.
"You fought valiantly…" Wonder Woman told the two. "But this battle's over." She said seriously.
"You want me to do what?" Firestorm asked in disbelief. "Professor, that's crazy! Maybe we can control it, but-" He said with great concern, but then he heard the voice of the Professor in his head. "You're right. No other option." He finally agreed. "Get outta here, Jaime!" He told his friend.
He then claps his hand together and then creates a ball of nuclear fire that grows larger and larger within a few seconds.
"Jesucristo, Jason! You're gonna nuke us?!" Blue Beetle asked in shock.
"It's the only way. Now go!" Firestorm shouted, Wonder Woman was still ready to continue the fight. "Leave. All of you! Or you'll get a helluva lot worse than a sunburn…" He warned.
"You'd blow up Metropolis rather than let Superman go?" Wonder Woman asked in disbelief.
"I'd save the Earth…" Firestorm simply stated, that got under Wonder Woman's skin.
She was about to attack, not caring about the consequences, but it was stopped by a batarang.
"Firestorm, stand down!" Batman ordered, he dropped down and just looked at all of them. He was approaching Superman's cell but Karastop him. "Who are you?" He simply asked.
"Superman's overprotective cousin." Kara told him.
"You keep so many secrets, but you can't stand it when one's kept from you. Can you?" Damian said to his father.
"Big talk coming from a brat, huh?" Another voice said, Okuyasu then drops down as well. He was wearing his "Super Slayer" suit, he looked around for a bit then faced Batman.
"You…" Damian said with a sneer.
"How's your arm? If I remember that's not the only thing I broke." Okuyasu said casually, making the young Wayne growl in anger. "Are you sure about this?" He asked Batman.
"There's no other choice." Batman told him.
"If you do this, it's going to be messy. I can't promise that he'll be in one piece if you do this." Okuyasu told him, hinting he may take something from Superman. Kara didn't take that threat lightly.
"I won't let you lay a hand on him." Kara sneered at Okuyasu.
"Is this really necessary? After everything he's done?" Okuyasu asked, ignoring Kara.
"If we want to stand a chance I have to…" Batman said to Okuyasu.
"I didn't spend a whole 5 years training for something like this to happen. I can handle Brainiac if he tries anything." Okuyasu protested.
"There's no solid way of you being able to beat Brainic before his plan is complete. Or how strong he really is." Batman countered.
"You two can't beat Brainiac." Wonder Woman told them.
"Okuyasu, trust me. I have everything planned." Batman told Okuyasu, and turned to the Amazon. "You're right, Diana. We can't." He stated.
"Good Grief, fine. I can't change your mind… but let the records say I was and still against this." Okuyasu sighed.
Batman then punched a few codes in the console and released Superman from the cell, Superman walked up to Batman and Okuyasu.
"You're ready to stop Brainiac by any means necessary?" Superman asked.
"By the means at hand." Batman corrected.
"And nothing too far." Okuyasu added.
"What's your game? You're always three steps ahead of me." Superman said, trying to figure out Bruce's game.
"Saving the world is enough for now." Batman simply stated.
"I'm never going back to that cell." Superman said firmly.
"You'll go back in the cell, even if I have to drag you in there myself." Okuyasu said more firmly.
"Easy." Batman told Okuyasu. "Right now, the world needs us…" He stated.
Superman looks at Wonder Woman and then at Kara, he then faces Batman and Okuyasu. He had no choice.
Back on the Skullship, Brainic was simply observing and was getting ready to move forward with his plans for the Earth. Then Gorilla Grodd came into the room to see what the alien collector wanted.
"You summoned me, Brainiac?" Grodd asked.
"There have been surprising developments. Kal-El free. But more remarkably, he's not the last Kryptonian. There is another refugee." Brainiac told Grodd.
"Two Kryptonian?" Grodd said in hidden shock.
"Continue as planned. Kal-El's not yet at full strength. But remember-the Kryptonians belong to me." Brainiac stated, Grodd just looks at him.
Everyone had gathered to form a plan to stop Brainiac. Okuyasu was less than happy about this, he still believed he could handle Brainiac and without Superman and the rest of his squad. Catwoman pulled a set of blueprints.
"Thanks to Flash's recon, we have locations for every ship in Brainic's fleet…" Catwoman told everyone. "They target the major cities on every continent. Betas are being offloaded on the outskirts…" She explained.
Okuyasu saw Batman take Firestorm with him to a corner of the room. He figured it had something to do with the events at the prison. In his honest opinion, if he had to choose between blowing up the prison and letting loose a madman like Superman, the choice was obvious for him.
"We have to evacuate these cities before attacking the fleet, but we need communications restored first. So before we get started, Cyborg's going to fix Brother Eye." Catwoman told them.
"I am not Bat-tech support!" Cyborg said, offended.
"That's not the issue, Victor." Superman stated, appearing in his new super suit and Kara by his side. There was a pause in silence as they watched him, Okuyasu glared at him. "Kara saw firsthand how Brainiac destroyed Krypton. She says we have 48 hours before he does the same to Earth." He explained.
"Without tight coordination, we'll lose valuable time." Batman stated.
"And that means we fix Brother Eye." Superman stated, Cyborg just sighs to himself.
"Catwoman and Harley will join you. You'll need their help getting into the Batcave." Batman stated.
"Just gimme the coordinates, I'll open a portal and boom-tube in." Cyborg stated, and Okuyasu actually chuckled at that which didn't please the former teen titan.
"Sorry, just the thought of you actually believing we let that happen is hilarious." Okuyasu said, wiping a tear away.
"Besides, you can't. I reverse-engineered your armor's Mother Box technology." Batman told him.
"Try teleportin' into the Batcave, 'stead of boom, you'll go splat!" Harleen stated.
"Instant scrap metal." Okuyasu added.
"So… how do we get in." Cyborg said, losing his patience.
"The old Underground. There's a tunnel entrance under Arkham." Catwoman answered.
"I'm taking you two to Arkham Asylum?" Cyborg asked, pointing at the two.
"Promise it won't be awkward or nothin'." Harleen shrugged.
"I'll need a few hours in the solarium at the Fortress of Solitude. Assuming you haven't torn it down." Superman said, looking at Batman.
"Not yet." Batman said neutrally.
"Damian, Adam, you're with me." Superman told the two.
"And the rest of us? We just can't sit here." Wonderwoman said firmly.
"Really hate to agree with her, but what will the rest of us be doing?" Okuyasu said, looking at Batman.
"We plan our attack. Once Brother Eye's online, we mobilize." Batman answered. "Remember. Out there, there's no Regime. Not anymore. So we. do. Not. Kill." He said seriously.
"Yeah, and if any of you think of acting out of line, I'll gladly put you back in your place." Okuyasu said seriously as well, looking at all of them.
"Oh yeah, what can you even do?" Damian asked, not taking him seriously.
"More than you." Okuyasu stated. "The world doesn't need the Regime, not after all the damage and lives it costs." He stated, glaring at Superman. "Your little war didn't just damage the cities but took a lot of lives, when I wasn't helping Batman clean up your mess I spent my free time counting the tombstones that were added, some of them don't even have bodies." He sneered. "Thousand, millions, too many to count, all those lives lost, and it's your fault, all of you." He said, walking up to the Man of Steel. "My scars still burn whenever I think about that day, the day you take the man who gave me this suit that was made with the sole purpose of taking you down." He stated. "So when this is over, I'll make sure to put every last one of you back in those cells. Even if I have to beat you close to death and drag your sorry ass back." He growled deeply, in Superman's face, who had his own glare.
The two stared each other down, the tension around them was intense. They two look close to pouncing on each other but they are separated, Harleen moving Okuyasu and Kara standing between him and her cousin.
"You won't be hurting or even touching him, not on my watch." Kara said, glaring at him.
Okuyasu turns his heated glare at her and she flinches for only a second from the sheer amount of intensity, he observes her for a bit and merely scoffs. Walking away with Harleen to help calm him down.
Batman didn't get involve because he know asking Okuyasu to work with the man that nearly killed him was a lot to ask, the young adult Stand User got what he wanted to say off his chest and needed to calm down, he just hope that Okuyasu could keep it together long enough for them to take down Brainiac.
"Let's go." Batman told everyone, breaking the silence.
Wonderwoman look at Superman and then turn to glare at Okuyasu and then left and took Kara with her, it was just the two former friends now.
"Why'd you keep it?" Superman asked, looking at the table.
"Keep what?" Batman asked, acting like he didn't know. And Superman revealed it to be the old Justice League table. "Hm. Forget that was there." He stated, and left but Superman just stared at it and got a slightly sinister look in his eyes.
With Okuyasu and Harleen, the two were making out because it was the best way for the punk to blow off steam. The two separate for air and Okuyasu now had a concerned look on his face, for a good reason.
"Are you sure you don't want me to come?" Okuyasu asked her. "Y'know… to keep the tinman in check."
"I told ya, it's fine. You need to be here, helpin' Bats." Harleen told him. "Me and Selina can handle old bags of bolts just fine." She assured him.
"But Harleen…" Okuyasu said to protest, but she put a finger to his lips.
"No buts, seriously… we got this." Harleen told him, firmly.
"Fine… just be safe, the last thing I want is for you to get hurt." Okuyasu told her, hugging her close.
And with that the group boom tube to Arkham, everything seems to be normal with the asylum just old and covered in plant life. It was quiet and not in the calming way, then a faint pink mist rolled in and Harleen started to feel dizzy.
"Pheromones." Cyborg stated, quickly taking care of it.
"Harley? Are you okay?" Catwoman asked, concerned for her. Harleen ends up in Poison Ivy's arms while still in a daze.
"Sweet, sweet Harley. This time, you'll be a good girl for Mama…" Poison Ivy said softly.
"Hey, kiddies! Let's play "Eeny Meeny Miney… MURDER!"." Harleen said, clearly not in her right mind.
"Harley needs a girl talk." Catwoman stated, so Cyborg took on Poison Ivy.
"Hisssss! Cat fight!" Harleen said, pulling out her gun.
"Sorry, Harley. I'll try not to leave a scar." Catwomen stated.
Catwoman starts the fight by attacking with a swift high kick to her jaw but Harleen is able to dodge and counter with her own swift kick, Catwoman dodge and goes for a punch instead and lands a direct hit to Harleen's face but she quickly counters with a strong right hook that made Selina flinch a bit from the power behind it. Harleen pulls out her guns and shoot a few shots at Catwoman but she dodge with ease and jump over the clown girl and delivers a swift kick to the back, causing Harleen to stagger forward but she was able to keep her balance and turns over and launch forward and throws a fast kick to the gut, Catwoman blocked and counters with her own fast kick to the face. Harleen staggers back a bit and rubbed her cheek and let out a chuckle then put her guns away and pull out her bat and charged right at the former criminal and swing her back at full force, Catwoman pull out her whip and swing it around her leg and pulled it up and cause Harleen to fall on her face, Selina wince because the fall sound rough. But to her surprise, Harleen got up with ease and only had a slightly broken nose with blood leaking out, she fixed it and licked the blood from her lips.
"Hahaha… nice one kitty." Harleen said with a chuckle.
Harleen charge forward and hits Selina in the left thigh with her bat, Catwoman wince in pain but didn't have time to react as she follow up with a left punch to the face and then a right hook and left uppercut, Catwoman grunt in pain and counter with a strong kick to her face and then a punch to the face and finish with a firm knee to the gut making Harleen grunt in pain and then chuckle and counter a stronger right hook to the face, Selina back away and wiped blood from her lips and understood now that Harleen was going to go down like this and her more strength then she look. Catwoman dodges another punch and then wraps her legs around Harleen's neck and choke her out, Harleen struggles at first but then slowly gets weaker and weaker until she blacked out.
"Ivy sure did a number on you…" Catwoman said, checking up on Harleen.
Cyborg was sent flying and hit the ground with a thump, Catwoman merely looked mildly amused by this.
"Your girlfriend is a real man-eater." Cyborg told her.
"Arkham gave us so many memories, Selina." Poison Ivy stated. "Bewitching guards, late night poker… Mandatory shock therapy…" She stated, while Catwoman remained silent. "Oh, that's right. You were spared. Thanks to your billionaire boy-toy."
"I didn't ask for special treatment." Catwoman told her.
"To hell with this pity party." Cyborg said frustrated.
"You're just dying to hurt me, aren't you, Tin Man? It won't bring back what you lost. Especially below the waist…" Poison Ivy said, taking a jab at Cybord. Who looked really steamed and more willing to harm Poison Ivy but Catwoman stopped, she heard strange noises from Harleen and she looked like she was having a seizure.
"Poor Harley smelled the wrong roses and now she is going into shock." Poison Ivy said with little care. "Bye bye, Baby Doll."
"Keep her alive. This is personal." Catwoman said, not pleased. "Harleen was your friend, Pamela. She loved you!" She said in slight anger.
"I have no more friends, Selina." Poison Ivy told her, coldly. "All I have left is the Green."
Catwoman didn't waste time attack the plant criminal with a firm punch to the face, Poison Ivy counter by manipulating the surrounding plant live and attack Catwoman with them all and then lunge forward and attack with a flurry of claws wipes, causing Poison Ivy's blood to drip to the ground. The plant villain covered herself in bark armor and created two thick whip-like vines, she swung them at Catwoman and got her across the left thigh and left a nasty cut, more lash follows covering Selina in small cuts. Catwoman hissed in pain and pulled out her whip and delivered a painful strike across Poison Ivy's face, she winced in pain and did look pleased. Catwoman dodges more whip strikes from Poison Ivy and gets in close and hits her with a combo of swift punches and kicks, knocking her back. Poison Ivy summon a plant monster and command it to attack Catwoman, the former criminal kick it away and swung her whip around a trash can and tossed it at Poison Ivy but it was deflect by the whip-like vine and wrap the other one around her leg and swung her around and slams her into the ground over and over for a bit and then tossed her into the wall, Selina pick herself and spit out some blood and wiped it off her lips. Catwoman was done playing around, she put her whip away, pulled out her claws and lounge forward! Poison Ivy swung her plant whip but Catwoman dodge and delivers a firm high kick to her face and follows up with a combo of kicks all aiming for the head and face of Poison Ivy, Selina delivers an extra hard kick right across Poison Ivy's temple making her get dizzy. Catwoman unleashes a flurry of claw slashes and kicks, chipping away at the bark armor until Poison Ivy's body was exposed and that was where Selina really dug into her by slashing at her exposed flesh and then hit her firm kicks. Poison Ivy winced in pain and summoned more thick vines and lashed out at Catwoman, dodging as many of them as she could but some managed to slash and hit her with blunt force, tearing up her suit a bit. Catwoman does a few fast and agile movement and delivers a roundhouse kick to Poison Ivy's head and pull out her whip and wrap it around the plant villain neck and pull her froward and first knee her in the gut and the follow up with firm and hard punch to the face, knocking her to the ground and before she has a chance use her powers, Selina delivers a strong kick the chin which knocks her out.
"So much for the Gotham City Sirens." Catwoman said with little care.
She goes to check up on Harleen, she looks at Cyborg who merely shrugs. Catwoman checked Harleen's pulse, it was faint and concerning. If anything happened to Harleen, Okuyasu would go ballistic and likely try to kill Superman.
"You got a defibrillator in there?" atwoman asked Cyborg.
"Yeah but-" Cyborg answered and tried to rebuttal.
"Use it!" Catwoman told him.
Cyborg used his defibrillator on Harleen, over and over and over again and stopped. Selina checks on Harleen once more in hope that she is alive.
"Harley?" Catwoman said, concerned.
"Again… Again…" Harleen repeated, Catwoman smiled with relief and looked at Cyborg, who merely gave a half smile.
Cyborg's sensors pick up something on Harleen and after scanning it show a second life sign? Catwomen helped Harleen up, the clown girl rubbed her belly in protective assurent and let out a sigh of relief.
"You sure you're okay,Harley?" Selina asked.
"Right as rain, Kitty cat. Just a little dizzy in the head." Harleen told her, she then held her hand to her mouth and then threw up leftovers from lunch onto the ground. "Yeah, I'm good." She assured.
"Harley, by chance are yo-" Catwoman was about to ask.
"On where! We still have a mission to complete. Harleen interrupted her, moving ahead.
Catwoman still looked concerned and suspicious of her friend but focused on the mission, Cyborg wasn't as clueless on what Harleen was keeping to herself but focused on the mission, for now. The group was watching through the old tunnel to the Batcave, with Cyborg using a flashlight so they could see properly.
"You think we'll find Dinah and Ollie once we get to Brainiac?" Harleen asked, feeling hopeful… and wanting to have a couples date night.
"Seriously? They're already dead." Cyborg said without care.
"Why you gotta say that?!" Harleen asked, not pleased.
"Brainiac collects the best and discards the rest. Black Canary and Arrow? Definitely not the best." Cyborg said in a bit of a mocking tone.
"I'd take them any day over you, Victor." Catwoman said coldly, glaring at him.
Harleen would normally shrug it off but the way Cyborg talks about her friends rubbed her the wrong way. So… she found the biggest rock she could hold with one hand and chunk it at the human side of his head as hard as possible. The results, Cyborg let out a small scream of pain as he clenched the back of his head, he turned around and glared at Harleen with hate but she merely flipped him off with the middle finger. Cyborg looked at his fingers and saw a bit of blood, that blow to the head really hurt and pissed him off.
"I dare you to try that again, clown." Cyborg said with a sneer, aiming his arm cannon at her.
"Who? Me?" Harleen said, faking innocence. "I haven't done anything, are you right in the head, Tin Man?" She asked, walking past him. "Anywho, I'm sure you'll be fine with Brainiac because I doubt you're the best if an injured man was able to defeat you." She said snarky.
Catwoman let out a chuckle and she and Harleen moved on ahead as Victor just stood there and stowed in his own anger and frustrated at the memory of his defeat at Okuyasu's hands and the two former criminals making a joke out of him.
"Here we are." Catwoman stated, stopping at a brick wall. The two fell around the wall a bit before finding press plates and pushing on them at the same time, opening the entrance to the Batcave. "Wait here, Harley. Make sure no one follows us." Harleen just saluted.
"After you, please." Cyborg told Catwoman.
Harleen watched the two leave, she was concerned for Selina but knew she could handle herself, she put a hand on her stomach and thought about Okuyasu. Cyborg and Catwomen were walking through the Batcave.
"It's too quiet." Catwoman said in a whisper voice. Meanwhile Cyborg checked his scanners and picked up something.
"Bogeys. And they're not bats…" Cyborg told her, then quickly pulled out his energy shield to block some bullets and it was revealed to be Bane and Deadshot.
"I told Grodd you were loyal to the Bat. He called me "paranoid"." Bane stated. "At least he listened when I said Batman wouldn't relinquish his Cave so easily, Soon, not just this place, but all of Gotham will be mine!"
Catwoman and Cyborg ready themselves for the battle, then Deadshot takes a few shots at Catwoman but Cyborg blocks with his energy and the former criminal leaps forward at the sharp shooter and kicks him and the two begin to fight.
"Cyborg… my old comrade." Bane stated.
"I was never down with Superman recruiting criminals to the Regime. That was his call." Cyborg stated.
"We are both considered criminals now. So ask yourself… What is the difference between us?" Bane said, getting ready to fight.
Bane throws a strong right hook and hits Cyborg across the face and then follows up with a left hook, the former teen titan grunts in pain and staggers back and spits out a bit of blood. Bane throws another strong punch but Cyborg blocks with his energy shield and counters with a hard left punch to his face and then forms an arm cannon and blasts Bane a few times, making him grunt in pain. Bane threw more punches but Cyborg was blocking with his energy shield until Bane changed it up and jumped in the air and slammed his elbow into his chest and knocked him to the ground and then gets up and swing and slam Cyborg onto the floor over and over and throws him to the side, Cyborg groans in pain and as Bane jump high in the air and stomp his skull to pieces but Cyborg formed two arms and blast Bane square in the chest, making fall to floor and let out grunt of pain. Cyborg and Bane pick themselves up and the Spanish criminal bull rushes the former Regime member and slams his shoulder into Cyborg and then unleashes a combo of heavy punches to his face and finishes with a double double ax punch and knocks him to the ground.
Bane picks up Cyborg and raised his fist but Cyborg delivers a hard punch to his face and keeps up with a combo and hard punches and finish with a blast from his arm cannon, Bane grunts in pain and throws a hard punch at Cyborg but he block with his energy shield and counter with left hook. Bane then pumps his body full of venom and makes himself even stronger and throws a powerful punch and sends Cyborg skidding into a wall, Bane then charges right at him and hits him with a dropkick and slams him into the wall. Cyborg makes a large robot fist and slams it into Bane's chest and follows up with a blast from his arm cannon, Bane throws a mean right hook and hits Cyborg in the human side of his face and then in the chest. Cyborg attacks with a hard kick and knock Bane back with a blast from his arm cannon, Bane growls in pain and anger and get ready to finish off Cyborg, the former Regime member combine his arms together and form a large blaster cannon and hit Bane with an energy blast and sent him flying into a wall, he groans in pain and picks himself up but Cyborg blasted one of his venoms tubes, making him grow weaker and knocks him out with punch to the face.
"The difference between us? I'm still standing." Cyborg told him. Catwoman just walked up to him.
"Ready to meet Brother Eye?" Catwoman asked.
"About damn time." Cyborg stated and the two walked up to the counsel that Brother Eye was functioning in.
"System is still running. Brother Eye needs a clean power source… something Brainiac can't touch." Cyborg told her.
"The Cave's got backup generators." Catwoman told him.
"That should do it." Cyborg stated.
*Victor Stone. The pinnacle of human evolution…* Brainiac said, appearing on multiple screens.
"Someone has a secret admirer." Catwoman said, teasing.
*But your humanity inhibits your true potential. You must purge it.* Brainiac told him.
"Interesting thought, just one problem-I'm a team player. And humanity? That's my team." Cyborg told him, flat out rejecting Brainiac's claim.
*But you are capable of so much more.* Brainiac said, in a insisting tone. And then a purple beam from the screen hitted Cyborg and then caused something to emerge from his body, it looked just like him only it was fully mechanical.
"Grid online." It said in a robotic voice. "I am your vast memory and intellect, liberated from the weakness of flesh and emotion."
"Apparently liberated from my good looks and charm, too." Cyborg said, not pleased.
The soulless cybernetic being now as Grid merely stares blankly at the two as the two decide who took it on, ultimately it was Cyborg.
"We need that backup power. Now." Cyborg told Catwomen, and she left to do so. "So, uh, "Grid" is this mirror match as weird for you as it is for me?"
"For years I dwelled as a subroutine within your system. An anomaly. I never fathomed an existence outside you. Now, I realize my perfection. And your obsolescence." Grid told Cyborg.
Grid attacks with an arm cannon and blasts Cyborg but the former teen titan cancels out the blast with his own arm cannon, then charges forward and punches Grid and assaults the metal copy with a combo of punches and finishes with an arm cannon blast to the chest. Grid gets up like nothing happened and launches two missiles and hits Cyborg and then follows up with the same combo of punches and finishes with an arm cannon blast to the chest, Cyborg winces in pain and countered with a large metal fist and Grid did the same and both are sent skidding a bit. Cyborg launch two missiles and hit Grid and then follow up with a fe blast from his arm cannon and then pummels Grid with hard punches and a few kick and finish with one more arm cannon blast, Grid stagger back a bit then counter with a large metal fist to the human side of Cyborg's face and then a few more missiles blast and then blast Cyborg in the chest with his arm cannon, Grid then unleash a combo of hard punch with a large metal fist to the side of Cyborg's human face, leaving it bruise and bloody a bit. Cyborg grunt in pain and countered with a large metal fist to Grid's face and grabs the metal copy and slams him into one of the screens, which give it a nasty shock and blast to the ground and Cyborg finished up with a large blaster cannon and hit Grid right through the chest, leaving a hole. The metal copy glitch and spark a bit before exploding in pieces.
"Not so perfect, after all." Cyborg said to what was left of Grid.
"Backup power's on." Catwoman told him.
"Let's get this party started." Cyborg stated, getting to work.
*No human-not even you-can gain control of my neural network.* Brainiac told him.
"Not trying. Just teaching Brother Eye to ignore you." Cyborg told him.
*This minor success-vrt-will not-vrt-save you-vrt-* Brainiac said, getting distorted and glitch before getting cut out of Brother Eye.
*Brother Eye is online.* Brother Eye stated.
"Welcome back." Catwoman stated.
*Thank you, Ms. Kyle.* Brother Eye stated. *Warning! Victor Stone has infiltrated the Batcave! Deploying countermeasures!" A bunch of rocket turrets appeared and aimed at Cyborg.
"Defense system override. Authorized LK-4D4!" Catwoman told Brother Eye.
*System Administrator Selina Kyle. Retinal verification required.* Brother Eye then scanned Catwoman's eyes. *Identify confirmed. Standing down.*
"Brother Eye, bring geo-sync coms online." Catwoman ordered, and Brother Eye did so. "Bruce, the coms are yours."
"Copy. Brother Eye, broadcast on the old Justice League band." Batman ordered. "We're back online everyone. We have one hour to evacuate civilians before we engage Brainiac and the fleet." He said from within his Batjet.
Meanwhile Wonder Woman and Kara were in Metropolis about to take care of the drones.
