Fleur often brags that I'm the best little sister anyone could have, it's always been a point of pride for me.

She's my best friend, and I want her to be happy. She's decided that being happy means being with Harry Potter. I was a little upset at first, I had a bit of a crush on him after he saved me from the lake, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. She's special, he's special. They're meant to be together.

The problem is there are other witches who think they're better than my sister.

I didn't think much of them at first, but we had a joint Christmas a while back and I heard Molly Weasley, Harry's surrogate mother, telling her daughter about how she slipped her husband a love potion to get them together. I could see the lights dance in the youngest Weasley's eyes. She's always had eyes for Harry, everyone knows. Even as mostly an outsider I could tell. I don't blame her, I like him too, but he is Fleur's.

Even then it might not have amounted to much, I was just going to scare her a little I promise! But when I went to have our little chat I found the cauldron.

She. Was. Going. To. Potion. Him.

That simply wouldn't do.

Did you know love potions can be volatile if you get the ingredient ratios wrong? Ginny found out that day. All it took was a little rope to tie her up and a time release hover charm over the cauldron and I was gone long before there was anything close to a problem. Harry was distraught at the funeral, she was like a little sister to him. And now that's all she'll ever be.

I learned from Ron at the funeral that this wasn't the first time love potions had caused problems. He let slip a name: Romilda Vane. She had potioned him by accident in Ron's 6th year. She had been going for Harry. Who's to say she wouldn't try again, right? Romilda was easy to find, and even easier to lead away when I told her Harry had been thinking about her and asked me to give her his secret location. I doubt anyone will miss her, they definitely won't find her.

I know Harry dated Cho Chang once. He told me and Fleur about it one night after a few firewhiskeys. It had been a disaster, he said, but he was thankful it helped him get over her and led to him asking out Fleur. It was a cute story, I'm not really doing it justice. I wasn't going to do anything to her originally, Harry made it clear that ship had sailed, but then I noticed her with him at the Quidditch shop in Diagon one day. She was trying to sail that ship back into port.

She's reunited with her dear Cedric now.

In for a penny, in for a pound, isn't that the English expression? Harry's old Quidditch team had a reunion recently, in honor of poor departed Ginevra. Fleur came back from it fuming about the way they were making eyes at him the entire night like she wasn't even there. He didn't notice, he loves Fleur too much to notice other girls, but it's causing her distress regardless and I'm a good little sister. I help Fleur when she needs it. I lent my ears and she was more than willing to list each and every one: Angelina, Alicia, Katie, Demelza. Four visits, four problems solved. Harry's a private man, he won't notice for quite some time.

Daphne Greengrass grew close to Harry after the war. They had a secret friendship going through most of their school years, kept hidden due to the animosity between houses. It started when they met at Fortescue's. Apparently they share a love of ice cream and bonded over it. Now that Voldemort was gone and they had graduated they were open about things. Fleur didn't seem to mind, she said the other blonde was fun to talk to. But if she had a secret relationship with Harry before it could happen again, right? Well Mademoiselle Greengrass got an invite to an exclusive tasting of a new ice cream flavor. Maybe she should have wondered why Harry wasn't invited too? She doesn't have to wonder anymore. Neither do the Patil twins, Susan Bones, Hannah Abbott, nor Lavender Brown. After all, a tasting for one person would have been suspicious, wouldn't it?

I almost felt bad getting rid of Luna Lovegood. She's Fleur's friend as much as she is Harry's, and I enjoy her company as well, but she's too observant for her own good. She came to me, in secret, she had noticed the disappearances. She came to warn me, I almost spared her for that. But if Harry learns what's going on he might leave Fleur to protect her and I know Luna would tell him before long. She's often away in the magical wilds looking for things that don't exist, no one will think twice if she never comes back from her latest adventure.

Hermione was the hardest obstacle. She's very smart, if not imaginative, and she's rarely without her husband or Harry when outside the Ministry. I debated this one a lot. She was already married to Ron and if she hadn't made a move on Harry after all these years surely there wasn't anything there, right? But then I thought about it more. Married to one, a secret affair with the other. There's no way she hasn't thought about it, Harry's much more attractive than the slob she's with. It was a matter of time before she realized she chose the wrong friend. And I doubt Fleur would be invited for any 'fun' she offered Harry. I might have forgiven her if that was the case.

It took over a year to pull it off. A year biding my time, playing the best friend's wife's little sister growing into a personal friend. It was easy building Ron's trust, he's such a sucker for a pretty face and while I'm not as lovely as Fleur I'm still part Veela. He didn't stand a chance if I really tried. He kept me up to date on all the auror work being done, and eventually a rogue death eater popped up.

Perfect~

A few confundus charms and several of those earlier disappearances came to light, each reported by someone different and each suspecting the missing woman was under the Imperious shortly before disappearing. One more subtle hint to Ron and the auror department convinced itself this rogue criminal was doing it to hurt Harry.

What took longer and much, much more skill was finding out how to cast the dark mark. But I'm resourceful! Top of my class at Beauxbatons, thank you very much. Once I had it all I had to do was get myself invited into their home one last time, but this time it was a secret! We had to do something to support Harry, right? And a little planning session neither he nor Fleur knew about would let us come up with something to make him feel better.

Avada Kedavra, Avada Kedavra, Morsmordre!

Harry was devastated. I knew he would be, and I knew I didn't deserve to see his grief. But someone needs to keep a watch out for them, so this pain will be my penance for what I had to do. All he has left now is me and Fleur. She's holding him now as he cries, I can hear it from the guest room. He'll keep her close to keep her safe, and she will do the same in turn. They'll never leave each other's sides, never have to worry about potions or lapses of judgement or conniving friends with ugly husbands.

I love my sister very much, she's my best friend and I'll do anything to make her happy. After all, what are little sisters for?

Maybe one day I'll tell her

Just.

How.

Much.

I.

Do.

For.

Her.
