This one is going to be a bit of a Doozy with lots of time skips lol. Sorry about that. I could break this up into multiple chapters and pad it with filler but I'd rather not do that to you guys. So you're getting maybe one or two fewer chapters total but you get the content from those chapters now? It seems like a fair trade to me lol

Charlotte walked through town with a slight frown carrying a ladder under her arm. It was early and still cold out but she was determined to get started working on something that wasn't replacing a floorboard or painting after 3 months of doing exclusively that. She needed a break from cutting up her hands. Not truly understanding what she was doing was starting to leave scars.

"Good afternoon Miss Wiltse," Says Duke as she walks through the center of the village. Upon hearing the greeting she slowed her walking. the biting cold of the early morning left the two alone. She never did like talking to him even when she did make purchases. She'd worked with enough snakes to recognize one sitting in front of her. She took a breath and released it to calm her nerves.

"Duke," She replies with a short nod in return.

"Care to make a purchase?" He asks with an amused smile as he gestures to the wares out and about in front of him. Charlotte cautiously walked over and picks up an item at random to look it over before quickly glancing at him. she didn't trust him but, if what he said before was true. he might be her best bet.

"You mentioned before you sell information..." Charlotte asks while glancing around to make sure they were still alone.

"On occasions, I've been known to do so," Duke replies with a nod.

"How much for a list of people who've asked for information about me?" Charlotte asks while mentally analyzing potential outcomes of the conversation well in advance to try and be ready.

"Forgive me for assuming but I believe, that's not the question you truly mean to ask. Tell me. What is it you're looking for?" Duke asks as he shifts to pull a cigar seemingly from nowhere and takes a lighter from his pocket.

Well great... Oh well, there was more than one way to skin a cat. She watched his face as she asked her next question. "If I ask for information. What's your price to sell me out?"

Duke laughs heartily, "You wound me, my dear," Duke says with a coy smile.

"We're both in the same trade, You know the truth as well as I do. Money talks." Charlotte says in return. she wasn't playing a hand until she had some peace of mind this wasn't going to bite her in the ass.

"Naturally," He openly agrees before enjoying a puff of his cigar. "However, I assure you, I'm not a threat. It would be bad business to sell out my own clients to each other. I'm not one for politics you see."

It was a risk... but she wasn't making progress quickly enough..."How much for a list of Villagers who want to leave the village..."

"An interesting request to be sure," Duke says amused. "hmmm I suppose a fair price would be 500 Lei a name..."

"500," Charlotte repeats back with a disbelieving expression. $120 USD a name.

"Come now, I'm a merchant after all," Duke replies as he shifts to get more comfortable. "So, what will it be?"

she hadn't planned to purchase anything that expensive. she had money, she was taking out a bit each time she left with Heisenburg but still. "And how much for the full list?"

"Clever," he says shaking his head. "Well, I'll give you a discount if you buy the full list. 5000."

Freaking bastard... by saying it would be an adjusted price she had no idea how many people are on the list now... she doubted it would be as steep as a 50% discount. so. anywhere from 10 to 15 people. She had the money but it would wipe out the money she gathered. She had hoped to give a bit of it to Alex with the bundle of supplies she gathered for him, he'd be here in a week.

"It's an interesting talent you've developed, that mind of yours. It's served you well here I see. A cage is a cage all the same in the end, whether it's rusted or gilded. At least the rusted one isn't lonely. Isn't that right Miss Wiltse?"

She looked away and refused to comment on that. He was trying to prove he had good sources. and it worked. "I'll take a blanket and the list. I'll stop by to pick them up in the afternoon." She agrees. that would give her time to get the money.

"Till next we meet," Duke adds in parting.

Later that day Charlotte did as she said she would and returned with the money.

"Miss Wiltse It's good to see you again. I have your parcel right here." He says offering her a Cloth sack. "Thanks to your patronage I've decided to expand my services. they may be of interest to you."

She gives a quiet sigh as she hands over the money for the bundle. "And that would be?"

"I call it, Duke's Kitchen. You Kill it, We cook it." He says with a chuckle as he found his own slogan clever. "Here. This one is on the house." He says as he reaching around behind hm self once more to grab a plate and offer it to Charlotte. "I'm afraid you'll have to eat it here. I can't have you leaving with my fine china and silverware."

Charlotte wanted to refuse. there was no such thing as a free meal but... she stared at the herbed fish. It smelled so good. the last real meal she had was with Luiza a few weeks ago. While she could buy normal ingredients now that she was able to regularly go out and get supplies. She never learned how to cook. She just knew how to follow package instructions. She carefully put down the bundle and accepted the meal. staring between it and Duke as if she was waiting for a sudden last-minute requirement. When none came she quickly started to scarf down the meal. It was so good. Her diet had been horrid for the last seven months. she just wanted real food again. Not fast food or packaged food but real food. It felt miraculous what the one dish was able to do. just having that made her feel much healthier.

Duke chuckled at her reaction. "I take it you approve?" he asks and she adamantly nods. "Going forward, if you bring me supplies or pay for supplies from my own personal storage. I'd be more than happy to give you your fair share of the meal." The duke offers "after all, food does taste better with company."

Charlotte grumbled internally. She still didn't trust him. but food. "I'll consider your offer." She replies before going back to eating. once the meal was finished she hands back the plate and silverware, picks up the bundle. "Thank you for your time."

"I look forward to growing a promising business relation, Miss Wiltse," Duke replies in parting.

Heisenberg sat on a low-hanging pipe in his factory while watching the various parts of the machines spin and whirl. It was a thing of beauty. That Self-replication, cloning shit he read about on the internet was absolutely fascinating. if they could clone a sheep, he could make humans. it took him a few months of tinkering but he finally got the formula right and with the wires fixed up a few weeks back. he was now well into mass production of his army. Miranda wouldn't know what hit her. she'd have no way to tell. the bodies were all off her radar.

He smiled at that thought before digging the phone out of his pocket. the only thing that could make this moment sweeter was a victory. his smile fell.

Saturday, March 21st, 11:45AM

No new notifications. It had been a few hours. Normally she would have responded by now...

We can work together. we can get people out... if you can come back every third Saturday. I'll try and keep an ear out for people that want to leave. and send them out that day to meet you.

Okay. I'll do it.

It was the third Saturday of the month. He stared at the phone screen for a few more minutes before shifting to get up, put it away and hop down from his perch creating stairs under his feet to walk down to the closest platform and made his way out of the Factory, down the hill and into the woods. It wasn't hard for him to find what he was looking for as he easily recalled the events of weeks prior. Simply minding his own business on a stroll through the woods to find Charlotte with that guy again. Smiling at him. Relaxed around him. Ignoring her phone to pay attention to him.

What did this guy have that made him so special? Did he have an army or super-magnet metal powers? Pretty sure he doesn't. Know who does? The guy she's not paying attention to.

'Hey, is something wrong? I just got your messages,'

'... It's your turn.'

'That's it? I was busy I can't just use my phone around the village so freely. and you should be careful too, if Miranda finds out you have it she might try and go through it. it's unapproved technology.'

'Right.'

He stepped over the trunk of the tree he knocked over last time with his hammer before sitting on it. Why did this bother him so much? Why was he here? While he wouldn't admit it, he subconsciously knew why he was here.

Alex, I can't go with.

He wanted to make sure that answer didn't change. and that he wasn't going to wake up and be alone again. He would be fine if he was at this point but... they made a deal. She better fuckin remember that.

Before long he noticed footsteps in the woods and the man of the hour arrived. As if on cue, Charlotte poked her head out of the hiding place and motioned for someone to follow her. Heisenberg watches with mild curiosity as 3 others exit the small alcove. What appeared to be a mother father and their young son. Charlotte Hurried over to the Luthier and the two shared a quick hug before chatting for a moment. Heisenberg could feel his expression contort slightly as he watched the 5 little ants below anxiously scurry around. How did this guy keep getting past the Lycans? Maybe he should work on tightening up security.

he watched as she shrugged off a small backpack and handed that over to the man who opened it, looked through it and closed it again before putting it on. Wait, that bag looked familiar... She bought that during their last trip. What the shit else did she get and put in there when he wasn't looking?

"Little shit." He grumbles before getting up to pace around a bit. part of him wanted to leave, he was frustrated and wanted to punch something but part of him still wanted to make sure that she wasn't going to abandon him. To his relief. the man walked away with the small family following behind him and Charlotte started making her way back to the village.

Heisenberg allowed a sign of relief to pass his lips before taking out his phone, pressing a few buttons and holding it to the side of his head. He watched as Charlotte stopped in her tracks and moved back to the small hiding place before answering the phone.

"Hey what's up?" She asks quietly.

"Where are you?" He asks in return.

"Working." She replied with a confused tone.

"Not what I asked sweetheart," he says with a frown. "Where are you?"

"I'm in the forest, just dropped off a few villagers that wanted to leave," Charlotte replied annoyed as she guessed his next question and answered that as well.

He paused a moment. well. she didn't exactly Lie about it like he thought she was going to. Why didn't that make him feel better? "Fine. Get to the factory ASAP... we have work to do," He says and hangs up.

Charlotte looked at her phone again to find that he hung up on her again. She shook her head and put it away. she really needed to teach him that was Rude.

'*'*'*'*'

A little over a month has passed since then. April was uneventful as her usual schedule continued. Charlotte started visiting the Duke for lunch during the day when she could afford it. he wasn't exactly an affordable option. each meal cost her between 80 and 160 Lei. but having real food at least once a day was worth every penny in her mind. She continued to visit Karl at least once a week. sometimes he'd have her visit an extra day. The extra time was proving fruitful though as Karl's English was getting better. She had another meeting with Alex and got out 2 more people. Unbeknownst to her Heisenberg was still keeping an eye on that from a distance. There was a meeting of the lords but to Charlotte's relief, Miranda had yet to notice that people are running away since Charlotte has been removing the villagers from the sheet while using Alcina's laptop during their weekly meeting to do data entry. It was risky but it was a better way to cover her trail.

Though speaking of meetings maybe she should be paying more attention...

"And that brings us to the last point of our meeting," Miranda says as she looks to Charlotte. "I assume you have good news?"

"Yes Mother," Charlotte replies with a smile "Since our last meeting there was another woman that announced she is expecting. With your permission, I'd like to go into town and look into acquiring more medical supplies for the doctor, the nursing mothers and start stockpiling supplies for the arrival of the children along with the usual supplies. It will likely require another trip later in the month as well since space is limited and I'll have to cut back on my usual supplies to make room."

"I see." Miranda replies and nods "I'll allow this trip for now. focus on the usual supplies. get what you can in excess. if they prove useful then I'll approve another trip. You have 4 days. I expect you'll be back by sunset of the 14th."

the 14th. that would be a Thursday. and just in time too. She'd make it back right before her next meeting with Alex. "Yes, mother."

"You and Heisenberg are dismissed." She says and Heisenberg gets up and motions for Charlotte to follow him. As usual, the two walk-in silence to Luiza's house to get the rust bucket and start driving that out of the village it takes a while but eventually, Charlotte's neutral expression starts to shift to a smile and she starts to laugh.

"Oh my gosh this is actually working," Charlotte says giddily. She was able to get people out, the Army was under construction thanks to the active factory and Miranda was still none the wiser.

Heisenberg feels a smile start to form on his face as well. "Don't go counting your eggs before they hatch kid, We still got a lot of work to do."

Charlotte nods "Right, right. How are you doing on scraps?" She asks as she takes out her phone to start working on charting a route. Let's see it's 3 pm. it takes about an hour to get to the truck then another hour to get into town. so that would be around 5 pm. grab some fast food for dinner then head to the usual motel.

"Actually. I'm good," He replied which surprised her.

"Really?" She asks voicing her surprise.

"Yeah, not really interested in doing an all-nighter this time. We just did another one of those last time," Heisenberg replied.

"Ah right," she replied huh. they were going to have a lot of free time this time around then. If she knew that she wouldn't have pushed as hard for a trip for supplies and settled for a two or three-day trip. oh well. a bit of extra time in civilization wouldn't be the worst thing. The two eventually made their way to the hidden truck and switched over to the faster vehicle to start making their way into town."Okay well, let's practice a bit while you drive. What do you say if you need a drink?"

"Where can I get a drink?" Heisenberg replies in English.

"Good. Try again but this time be more specific," Charlotte replies with a smile. He really was starting to get the basics down. Though to be fair it had been 5 months now and he was rather smart. It caused her to pause a bit. He could have really been someone if he had been allowed to exist as a normal person in his own time.

"Where can I get a real fucking strong drink?" He says in english with an amused smirk which causes charlotte to laugh.

"Lord do I feel that," She admits still smiling "Once we're free of this place, we'll have to celebrate and go somewhere nice for some good food and drinks." She offers which causes him to glance over to her for a second. Honestly, she had been holding out on going to nicer restaurants partially for that reason. The other part was that she didn't want to make it harder to go back by giving herself any sort of luxury during these trips. Even a cheap motel bed was making it difficult to want to go back to a sleeping bag.

"Yeah. That sounds nice," He agrees as he relaxes a bit.

"hmm. Though, I suppose we do have a bit of extra time. Did you want to do anything?" Charlotte offers. It had been some time since they saw a movie, maybe he'd want to try that again. She thought over his request for a strong drink and mentally chuckled. Maybe he'd rather slouch around some bar and play darts. Well. cheat at darts most likely.

Again he paused while thinking over the offer. "Are dance halls still a thing?" he asks curiously.

That was not what she was expecting. Her mind instantly pictured a typical loud thumping European nightclub. "You're not ready," she says while trying to keep a straight face. Oh lord, she completely blanked on getting him caught up on music and dancing. Lord dancing was very different now when it came to clubs. Yeah, He could not pay her enough.

He looked over to her with an offended expression, "the shit is that supposed to mean?"

"It means you're not ready," Charlotte says while nodding in agreement with herself.

"Hey, I'll have you know I don't exactly have two left feet," he argued with a frown. Charlotte decided to just end the argument right there and then. she dug out her phone poked at it until it started playing some typical WUBWUB Hardcore dubstep music. "What in the hell is that god-awful noise?" He asks with a wince. It was worse than nails on a chalkboard.

"Music that they play at dance clubs," Charlotte replies with an amused smile, it was extreme to go straight to dubstep but she wanted to prove a point. "You know how to dance to that?" Charlotte asks "Oh and by the way, these places also have a dress code that you're not equipped to meet."

"Dress co- That is not music. where are the instruments?" He asks while he focuses on the road. This was ridiculous she had to be pulling his leg. If she was offended by the suggestion she could have just said she didn't want to go.

"Computer-generated," She says with a shrug as she turns off the sound.

"Bullshit." He grumbles in return with a slight sneer "You actually like that shit?"

"It's not completely awful. It serves its purpose." She replies still amused by his reaction. At least she made her point and she didn't have to teach him what grinding is. Lordy, he can learn that one on his own time. "Here, let's try this." She adds as she clicks around her phone and searches for 1940's Romanian music. "Let's start with something that might be familiar," Charlotte says and starts a small playlist she found on youtube. She wasn't sure how accurate it was but the title matched what she was looking for.

Heisenberg shook his head "Maybe my parents would have liked this shit but even that's a bit old for my taste."

"It's the best I can find as far as music that predates the existence of the internet. Some things are just harder to preserve than others." Charlotte says as she tried to relax and listen to the music. it really wasn't that amazing sounding to her either. Maybe a different playlist.

"There we go, that has a bit of brass to it," Heisenburg says with a smile as he listens along.

The lord of metal likes music with brass instruments. she chuckles a bit at that thought. "you would" she says quietly with an amused smile as she gets comfortable.

"What is that suppose to mean?" He asks with an unamused frown.

"The lord of metal like music with literal metal instruments." She points out which causes him to roll his eyes.

"very funny now which way are we going?" He asks as he hadn't really heard any form of instructions yet and was just going in the direction he vaguely remembered from their previous trips. Charlotte paused a bit before poking at the phone, they had been working pretty hard the last few months. they earned a slightly nicer meal than a McChicken from Mcdonald's. She managed to find a decent-sounding restaurant. it was a little further away but they had the time.

She says as she sets the GPS for the motel for now. they'd need to drop off their stuff and change first anyways. "After we drop everything off at the motel, let's get a bite to eat? I found a place not too far away."

"Don't we normally do that?" He asks with mild confusion.

"Well yeah, we usually get junk food. I'm started to get a bit spoiled from eating Duke's cooking so often." Charlotte admits. She really wanted to go back to normal with 3 good meals a day. just one nice meal, while they were out and about, wouldn't be too bad right? it would certainly be cheaper than going to Duke.

Duke's cooking? that shit's expensive. That actually brought up a different question. "Why go to Duke, you could make the same thing much cheaper? We do these runs pretty regularly now. surely you can just buy ingredients now." Heisenberg points out.

Charlotte frowns a bit at that. "I uh... Yeah, I don't know how to cook. at all."

"You can't cook..." he parrots back as his shoulders dropped slightly. it really was a miracle she was alive out here.

"Nope. I can follow instructions on premade packets but that's about it." Charlotte admits with a shrug.

He shakes his head slightly. "Fine." he relents. If she was paying for it he'd eat a nicer meal.

Oh, thank heavens, Charlotte thought relieved with a slight smile. They didn't always get along but in a weird way, they were actually becoming decent friends. It was definitely one of those weird friendships where you end up picking on each other more often than not... but the longer they knew each other, the more it felt like they were just making fun of how poorly they got along at first.

It took a bit of time to get to the motel but they did so, dropped off their gear, and changed into their modern clothes before heading out again. Another hour later they made it to a decent-looking sit-down restaurant.

The two made it inside and the hostess seemed a bit confused. "Can I help you?"

"Table for two please?" Charlotte requests unaware that she kinda missed the mark. What she thought was a chain sit-in restaurant was actually a bit more high-end than that. Most of the people here were at least wearing business casual clothes while she and Heisenberg were in t-shirts jeans and hiking boots.

"Let me see what we have available..." She says while looking the floor plan over. they had openings... they didn't look like they'd tip well though. She reluctantly nods. "It will be a 30-minute wait." She replies figuring if that didn't drive them away she'd actually give them the table.

Charlotte looks to Heisenberg, he didn't seem thrilled about that but he didn't want to drive another hour to go somewhere else so he just shrugged. "That's fine," Charlotte replies with a slight frown. They were early for the dinner rush. That was a bit odd to wait for this early but they'd still get food and it was faster than trying to find another restaurant.

To the hostess's chagrin, the two did wait 30 minutes. "Table for two," she says to get their attention. Finally. Charlotte thought as she and Heisenberg walked over to the desk once more. "Follow me," the hostess says and leads the two to a table more towards the middle of the room. it would be easier to keep an eye on the two that way.

They were eventually set up with menus and Charlotte started realizing her mistake as she looked it over. oh well. she could probably write this off as a client dinner and send the receipts in with her next report... She needed a drink.

"Hi, my name is Martha, I'll be your waitress." says the woman "Can I start you off with any drinks?"

"I'll take the blushing Gin and Tonic and a water," Charlotte says as she continued to look over the menu.

"Scotch, no ice" Heisenberg replies after.

The waitress nods and writes that down and walks off.

"You would get some Fruit shit." Heisenberg teased with a slight smirk.

"It sounded good and it's not something I can get in the village," she replies amused. "It's not my fault you're boring."

"Boring?" he replies as he looks at her over the top of his sunglasses. "Those are fighting words."

Charlotte chuckles a bit at that while allowing herself to glance up at him from her menu once or twice. "The roast sounds good,"

"Oh no, you're not getting out of this one," Heisenberg says as he reaches over and pushed down her menu to get her to look at him. "You're going to say I'm boring when you're the one that was against the idea of visiting a dance hall."

"I don't dance," Charlotte says while avoiding eye contact. that wasn't completely true she actually did enjoy going to places like that on occasion but if anything was going to give the poor guy culture shock, that was it. and she knew a basic box step for formal functions.

"You're proving my point. Pretty sure I'm not the boring one here," He says as he relaxes back into his seat.

"Fine," Charlotte says while continuing to avoid eye contact "You're not completely boring... You just have boring taste," she says with a slight smirk. she wasn't going to relent so easily but she did have to admit that as of late it's been harder to look him directly in the eyes.

"Keep pressing your luck, see what happens," he says with a short laugh.

Charlotte rolled her eyes a bit at that but eventually, the waitress returned with their drinks and took their dinner orders before leaving again. Charlotte picked up the small glass that held a mixture of gin, tonic water, muddled strawberries, mint, and lime with crushed ice. "Cheers, to a surprisingly pleasant alliance, and dare I hesitantly say an unexpected friendship," Charlotte says as she offers her glass. "To raising hell."

"I'll drink to that," Heisenberg replies amused as he picks up his own glass and lazily clinks it against here's before taking a drink to wash away that weird stinging feeling.

Charlotte sips at her own drink and smiles a bit to herself. He wasn't too different from Salvatore. Just another person that was pushed into a horrible situation because of an even worse person. They were all going to get out of this though... Maybe she had been a bit too hard on him.

The thought remained on her mind as they casually chatted and enjoyed their meal and drinks. She paid for the meal and to the surprise of the waitress, left a healthy tip. It took them a bit of time but they continued to shoot the breeze as they made their way back to the motel parking lot while Charlotte poked around at her phone. The sun had set at this point but they eventually pulled into a parking spot at the cheap and mostly empty motel parking lot. Early spring wasn't really a key time for tourists.

"Did you still want to try going to a dance hall?" Charlotte asks curiously as they got out of the car which caused Heisenberg to stop and look at her.

"Seems a bit late for that, we're already back at the motel." Heisenberg points out with mild amusement. He was not going to drive for another hour.

"Not quite," Charlotte says as she pokes at her phone, luckily there was a large selection of different music, and doing a bit of research on the way back to the hotel she was pretty sure she found a solid middle ground between their different expectations of music. She pressed play as a medley of electric swing started to play and put the phone down on the hood of the truck before offering her hand. "I'm not great at it but if you can lead, I'll try and keep up." she offers, feeling a warmth of embarrassment across her checks.

His amusement compounded with the offer. It was an unusual olive branch but he wasn't mad at it. What was that face she was making. that was dangerous... "Suppose you've been teaching me for a while. I can help you with one thing." he agrees to try and change it around in his mind that he'd be doing her a favor by agreeing.

Charlotte shook her head but to her surprise, he took her hand and placed his other on her waist.

"Try and stand on the ball of your foot, keep your heel a little bit off the ground to get a bit of bounce in your step," he instructs and she does so without arguing. it was a bloody miracle. He started moving around to the music, using his hand on her waist to direct her around to see if she could keep up with the simple bouncing steps and sure enough, she stumbled every once in a while but she was doing okay.

As they moved around a realization came to mind while listening to the music. "It's in English," he says with a slight frown.

"I did not have enough time to find this style of music in Romanian," She says with a slightly amused smile. Of course finding English content was easier for the native English speaker.

"Can you translate," he asks curiously. he was able to pick up a few words but they were singing too quickly for him to really grasp the words.

"I don't sing," Charlotte says still smiling as she did her best to keep up.

"You don't sing, dance, cook or sew. Who raised you?" Heisenberg teased. there wasn't a single lady-like bone in her body was there?

Charlotte laughs a bit a that. "Sorry but I'm not exactly a Disney princess," She says shaking her head "Somethings just aren't as important as others. Besides I resent that I am trying aren't I?"

"Trying is a word," He says amused.

"I like my music, and I like it high, say if they try to shake it down, then I'd just want to die. They can take my women. it's sad but true. they can take away most anything but if swing goes I go too" Charlotte attempts to translate while keeping up with the steps. she missed a few more but the translation was a welcomed addition so he didn't pick on her for it.

"See, you're not that bad." he teased. Sure she wasn't some starlet diva but she wasn't tone deaf either.

"Oh wow, not that bad. how gracious of you Lord Heisenberg," She responded in turn with a slight smirk.

"Now don't start with that," he says as he slowed his step and changes things up a bit as the song changed to one with a slower tempo. "Alright, what is this one saying?"

Charlotte listens for a moment as she has a bit of trouble understanding this one herself. "Not much. Seems to be repeating parts of a sound clip," she replies while waiting for a clearer section of audio. "Grab your coat, and get your hat, leave your worry on the doorstep. Just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street. can't you hear that pitter-pat, and that happy tune in your step? life can be so sweet on the sunny side of the street,"

He listened contently to the short translation, oblivious to the fact that the two of them had slowly inched a bit closer together while dancing to the slower song. This one was definitely closer to what he remembered and even got him to hum along a bit. What was in that drink...

The song eventually changed out as the mixed list continued to play and the tempo picked back up. Charlotte didn't have to be reminded this time and started translating. this one seemed like a newer recording so it was easier to hear the words. "Hey boy heading my way, Come on over sway with me. Don't you see we could light up the night, You and me we could be such a sight. Just let go. Oh boy spin me around till my feet won't touch the ground,"

He wasn't sure if it was the lyrics or the fact she was the one saying them but it caused him to smirk all the same as he picked up his steps a bit more and Spin her around a few times.

Charlotte openly smiled and laughed while struggling to keep up with him. "Karl please I'm getting dizzy."

He smirks remains as the tempo picked up further and purposefully tried to make sure she was having a hard time keeping up with him. It had always been fun to toy with her. As he continues his little game he hears the words again from the song as charlotte had since given up on translating while trying to stay in step with him, 'spin me around'. And so he did and ends up spinning her while moving her around to be somewhat behind him before putting a leg out while reaching back to grab her waist and pull her over his leg in a form of a dip. Check.

He was trying to mess with her, she knew his antics well enough at this point. Yet all the same, This was fun. The dip was rather unexpected though as it forced her to look him in the eyes and hold onto him. She stared up at him with a genuine smile and a twinkle of mischief in her eye. Feeling a bit playful she reached up to take his hat and places that on her own head and winks at him. Checkmate.

They weren't moving anymore but he could feel his heart race faster as his face was stained with a rosy hue as he set her upright once more though his hand stayed around her waist and the two leaned closer together. What was going on in his mind? Because he sure as hell didn't know or understand it in the slightest. It seemed he wasn't the only one confused as his Cadou started flailing tendrils out from his chest that peaked out from the neck of his shirt and made a slight screeching sound.

"Holy shi-" Charlotte said while quickly taking a few steps back and away from him as her once twitterpated expression was replaced with shocked surprise. "What the hell? are you okay?" She asks looking at Heisenberg concerned. What the actual heck was going on? Was this an alien predator moment? Did he need a doctor? what just happened? As she realized where her mind had wandered to prior to this, a new form of concern entered her thought process. What was she thinking?!

"Fine, stupid fuckin bull shit god damn parasite," Heisenberg said now red in the face for a different reason, poked and punched at his chest where the wriggling parasite was peaking out to try and get it to retreat. It gave an angry squeak before returning to its hibernating state and closing up the opening in his chest. "... Sorry about that," he says while avoiding eye contact. Well, whatever was going on in his brain before it's gone now.

"It's fine, as long as you're okay," Charlotte says and offers the hat back to Heisenberg who accepts it and returns it to its normal resting place.

"Yeah... We should get some rest, we have work to do in the morning," He says before walking ahead to lead the way back to the room. Each one goes to their respective bed to rest.

What in the actual shit was that reaction you dumb piece of garbage, Heisenberg thought while looking down at the scar-like crack in his chest. Literally, everything that went wrong in his life boils right back down to Miranda's meddling. if he didn't have this stupid Cadou... he gave a quiet sigh. he'd be a senile old man in a nursing home and she wouldn't know he existed... he frowned at that thought and put his hat over his face to try and fall asleep.

Holy hnnn what was wrong with her? she needed to just not drink ever apparently cause she almost kissed the guy. Why was she more upset over the fact she didn't rather than the fact she almost did. HOOO Good lordy, no! they might get along but that doesn't mean this was okay in the slightest. He's not human. he's an undead corpse with a bug in it. she needed to stay focused. distractions will get her killed. she was not going to deal with this Stockholm bull. absolutely not. Even then she paused... Maybe. just. She buried her face into her pillow. she'd think about it once she was free... then she could be sure that she wasn't messed up in the head.

You know I really wasn't planning on running with this beauty and the beast parallel but here we are and I am here for it X'D for those that are curious about the songs referenced for that last scene. in order of appearance they are, If swing goes, I go Too by Darren Fewins. On the sunny side of the street by Ella Fitzgerald & Count Basie - (ProleteR tribute). and Light un the Night by Jamie Berry feat Octavia Rose which was the suggested song for the chapter.
