Thunder rumbled and rain hammered against the rooftops in Godric's Hollow. Harry shifted in his sleep, fighting against the chill and the nightmares that creeped into his dreams. A crackle of lightning shot across the sky and dogs began to howl. Harry shot upright in bed, his eyes flicking around the room in a panic, searching for danger.
"Harry, it's okay, you're okay," arms wrapped tightly around his waist as Blaise held him closely against him.
"What happened? Is everyone okay?" The words stumbled out in a mess of panic, fear bubbling in his stomach.
"Everything's fine, it was just thunder and lightning, go back to sleep okay?"
"Oh," Harry struggled to calm his breathing as Blaise helped him to lay back down, wrapping his arms tightly around Harry's torso.
"What time is it?" His words breached the silence as he tried to get comfortable once again.
"Time for you to wear a watch," Blaise murmured, tugging the duvet further up his body.
"Why would I wear a watch when I have you to tell me the time whenever I need it?" Harry nuzzled his head into Blaise's chest, yawning deeply as he squeezed his eyes closed.
"Well I don't know about you, but it would be nice to not be the only responsible one in this relationship," he spoke softly with a teasing edge to his voice.
"I ended a war, I think that makes me very responsible actually," he grinned smugly as Blaise snorted into his hair.
"You also broke practically every single rule while we were in school, so I beg to differ."
"Your words wound me and I will have vengeance," he deadpanned.
"Perhaps save your vengeance for when the sun has risen and you can see what you're doing."
"Sounds good to me."
Blaise placed a gentle kiss on the top of Harry's head, burying his face into the wild mass of dark curls Harry had allowed to grow out, before allowing himself to succumb to sleep, knowing that Harry would be safe from any more nightmares while he was tucked away in his arms.
