Jackpot!

"Lily is going to kill you," Remus murmured, catching Sirius' eye as James continued to pull the lever of the closest slot machine.

"I think you mean she's going to kill us," Sirius remarked. With a grin he turned to face Remus, catching the confused and outraged expression on his face. "Well, you're taking half the blame obviously. You should have warned me that this was a stupid idea before we got here."

"How was I supposed to warn you when you hid your plans from me?" Remus barked back, his eye beginning to twitch as the machine before him continued to squawk. His senses were rattled from all of the noise and the flashy lights of the different machines. Spending his evening in a casino was possibly his worst nightmare, and thanks to Sirius that was what he was doing with his precious time.

"It's his bachelor party, it had to be a secret or you'd have told everyone!"

"Well at least then you could have picked a more appropriate idea," Remus was winding up to give a full speech on how ridiculous and irresponsible it was to bring them to a Muggle casino on the eve of James' wedding, when he finally felt the last thread of his sanity give in. "James! Stop pulling that fucking lever!"

Heads began to turn in their direction, eyes widening at the outraged roar Remus had released from his body. James stared back at his friend in shocked awe, watching as his body practically heaved from releasing a wave of anger and stress, before reaching out and pulling the lever down one last time.

"JACKPOT!" The machine yelled loudly. People began to cheer and applaud, reaching out to congratulate James who took it all in his stride with a large grin on his face.

"At least he's having fun," Sirius remarked, struggling not to laugh in his boyfriend's face. "Come on Remus, have a bit of fun will you."

Remus tried to take in a deep, calming breath as the machines continued to scream at the patrons, coins falling in a rush of overwhelming noise. It was all a little too much for his strong senses, all he wanted was some peace and quiet. "I'll be at the bar, make sure he doesn't get into any trouble. If he does then you can explain it to Lily."
