Yellow Chapter 15
At Blaine's lab on Cinnabar Island, Evan is examining Super Nerd Miles who is unconscious on the bed. Evan gives food to Miles's Pokémon and checks the computer screen which shows the broken ice sculpture of Red in Mt. Moon. Evan sighs that Miles has not woken up in the past few weeks, and doubts whether they will get the details about Mt. Moon. He knew that Miles was possessed by a Gastly, and wished that the damage done wasn't serious.
Miles starts to cough and wake up, and Evan rushes to help him. When the Super Nerd wonders where he is, Evan tells him that he is in the Cinnabar Lab. Miles notices the sculpture of Red on the computer and asks why the sculpture is hollow. Evan, who is in shock, asks if Red was on the ice when Miles saw it, and Miles starts telling his story. A month ago, Miles was exploring the Mt. Moon caves with his friends. They saw a boy frozen in an ice sculpture and did everything they could to help him, but not even the Bone Club of Marowak worked. Miles found the torn cloth of Red's glove on the floor and was approached by a mysterious old woman after he returned to Celadon. Evan sees the photos clearly and discovers a mysterious shadow standing behind a rocky pillar in one of them.
Back at Delia, Blue, and Koga, they are continuing walking in the maze as Agatha is still lying on the ground.
"Feh...feh feh feh...Blue..." Agatha slowly gets back up with a smirk. "You've slightly improved since the last time we met. I'm sure you are Professor Oak's grandson...but, now that you are here, you can't escape. You guys might think you have won...but when you're in my labyrinth, you're under my rules."
(Flashback)
"You did a nice job out there, Oak." Agatha says after seeing Oak winning the league.
Oak says, "What about it?"
"Don't act like you don't know! I want some answers! Why did you quit the research team?"
"Agatha, the research team only cares about ways of making Pokemon do what they want. They've completely lost their purpose for existing. I can't deal with that." Oak replies.
Agatha is now furious as she attacks Oak's Chansey and Kangaskhan with her own Gastly and Gengar, with Gastly trapping Chansey in fog and Gengar pushing against Kangaskhan.
"What are you going to do without us?" Agatha demands.
"I'll do research on my own. My Pokemon Encyclopedia dream will be realized!" Oak says and Agatha is confused. "Right now, we only know a certain amount of information on Pokemon. We need a place, where we can store all the information that we gather about them. Pokemon and humans could both benefit with the creation of such a data device, something that a person could carry to share with other people and exchange information."
Oak orders a Soft-Boiled attack from Chansey to break it from Gastly's fog, followed by a Dizzy Punch to stun Gengar and force it back.
"You fool! Your dreams are nothing but talk! You can't possibly fill a device with that data! You'll be long dead before you complete it!" Agathat says.
"Maybe, if that's my destiny, then maybe my kids and grandkids will finish the job for me." Oak says.
Agatha eventually faced Oak in the finals and, annoyingly, lost to him after an arduous battle that lasted for eight hours, and she is not happy about it.
(Flashback Ends)
"I vowed right there, Oak! One day I would force him to admit! I'd force him to admit that I was right all along! There's only one thing I have to thank Oak for, and that is the fact that I was kept alive for the pure joy of hearing that which I want to hear!"
As the three are continuing moving forward, Agatha says, "For that thanks, as for your grandson, the head of the International Police, and that friend there, they can rot with you there in hell!"
"Hey, Blue, Delia, where are we currently?" Koga asks, and Delia says, "We're heading toward the center of the island. We should be exiting this labyrinth soon."
"Are you sure? To me, it almost seems like we are walking in circles." Blue asks Delia, who sighs and says, "Maybe you're right about that..."
Blue and Koga are confused until they find the Arbok tail in the middle of the road, Koga says, "Hey, isn't that the tail that Agatha cut off from my Arbok?"
"So it seems like we're back here at the beginning. But also, there is something different from before. Agatha is gone." Blue says.
"Not to mention...I'm weaker than I was before." Koga weakly says.
"Don't think too much, you've lost a lot of blood." Blue says.
"No, I don't think that's all...it's like my life energy is being extracted from my body..." Koga says with a weak laugh.
Delia notices something's not right, and she looks at the shadow, she gasps as she sees a pair of eyes and a mouth that is smiling at her. Delia takes out a Pokeball and says, "Slowbro! I need your assistance!"
As the Pokemon appears, Delia says, "Koga, I know you're weak, but you're still a ninja, I need you dodge with a timing. Use Psychic!"
Koga quickly jumps, but the shadow gets hit by the attack as it reveals a ghost body. Blue and Koga quickly send out Golduck and Koffing, but the two of them are defeated with just Shadow Balls and Shadow Punches.
"What is going on?" Koga asks.
"That's the Pokemon I fought not long ago. Gengar." Delia says. "It was in your shadow all along. It's been said that under a full moon, a person's shadow will dance and grin from a Gengar being present as a Shadow Pokemon."
Koga looks into the shadow and says, "Now I just saw it go into my shadow."
Blue takes out Charizard, Ninetales, and Scyther, using Flamethrower, Fire Spin, and Slash, it seemingly hits Gengar, but Delia notices that Gengar hides in the shadow of Blue, using Counter to defeat Ninetales.
"It's moving from one shadow to the other as soon as they come in contact with each one." Delia says.
Koga laughs and says, "So it wasn't just the blood that was making me weak...it steals energy from me every time it gets into my shadow."
"But that move is Counter. If we use Special attacks, it should be fine." Blue says as he sends out Porygon. "Use Conversion!"
Porygon switches into a ghost type and it causes Fighting types to be useless, and Gengar realizes that it can't hit Porygon, it changes to Delia's Slowbro, but Slowbro is a Psychic Type, and Rest keeps recovering its health. So Gengar tries to go back into the shadows.
"Now where did it go?" Delia and Blue look around until Gengar is going for a Sneak Attack. "Use Sharpen!"
Porygon manages to raise the attack stats, but Gengar is still hiding in the shadows.
"If only there's a way to draw it out of the shadows completely..." Delia mutters.
Back at Pewter City, Brock is fighting Machops as he commands Geodudes to protect the museum and the fossil Pokemon while some of them are attacking. As for Erika in Celadon City, a Shellder is using Clamp on her, causing her to be in pain.
"It seems like they are going to take something from me..." Erika mutters. "What is it?"
She commands Tangela to use Constrict and Absorb, after getting away from the Shellders, she got a call from her Gym Trainers.
As for Misty, she is fighting some Ghost Pokemon in Cerulean City, with the Krabby using CrabHammer on all of them. Just as the battle continues, Misty got a phone call from Erika.
"What?" Misty asks.
"The Elite Four's fourth army has landed in Viridian, Saffron, Vermilion, Fuschia, and even Cinnabar Island all at once!" Erika says to her.
"That's horrible." Misty says after the call ends.
"Somehow...I have to get the information to Cerise Island, to Blaine and everyone else..." Misty mutters. "In ancient times, and even not along ago, people would use the stars above them as a way to see the path!"
She sends out Starmie and asks it to draw a path in the sky as a guiding light.
Back with Bill and Lt. Surge, they are still trying to hang on from the acid below.
"Surge, hurry up and come on!" Bill says as Surge just chuckles, "Just give me a second...I need to rest a little bit."
But then, Hitmonlee's leg is about to kick the Lieutenant if he didn't dodge. "What? Burno didn't fall!" Bill says as Bruno opens his eyes with determination, and Hitmonlee's leg manages to get Lt. Surge this time and is going to drag him away from the Magnemite's magnetic fields.
"Magneton!" Surge yells as the Pokemon is trying to pull him up, but Hitmonlee tries to kick the Magneton, causing it to break hold.
"Damn it...am I going to die?" Surge mutters, but then a Vine Whip manages to catch him during midair.
"This vine..." Surge says in shock, and their destiny spoons are moving. Bill also notices the figures and he says, "That bike...and a Venusaur..."
Ash, Yellow, and Blaine are also shocked, and Bill says, "No way...Red!"
Red is now standing on the Onix and he smiles, "Haven't seen you in a while, Surge, and you too. Lt. Surge."
Bruno looks at Red as he has Hitmonlee trying to attack him, but Red commands, "Saur! Use Sweet Scent!"
Hitmonlee is hit by the attack as he loses his will to battle, and Venusaur also manages to grab Surge back on the Onix.
"Are you okay, Surge?" Red asks.
"I think so." Surge says while taking a breath.
"Red? Are you okay? Is that really you?" Bill asks.
"I'm pretty sure. I am the real deal, Red from Pallet Town." Red says as he also holds the spoon of destiny.
Ash smiles and says, "Red...he's back..."
"Yeah, at the moment in which we could have died..." Blaine mutters.
Pika and Yellow are trying to call out to Red, but he can't hear them as they are separated by a wall.
"That sound is..." Blaine notices a strange sound, "Electrode's Self Destruct! It knocked down the wall between the caves and the underground water...Yellow! grab onto something! There is a flood coming!"
But Yellow is busying calling out to Red, and Ash quickly grabs Yellow's hand and says, "Yellow! Calm down for a second!"
But it's too late, the flood arrives and it starts to wash them away. At the same time, Yellow's hat is blown and it shows the ponytail.
"Yellow...you are..." Blaine gasps as he can't believe Yellow is a girl all this time, but he yells, "Quick we have to move!"
"Red!" Yellow yells, but Ash is dragging Yellow and Pika away so that they can be safe from the water.
And here is a new chapter, there are a lot of things that can be told from this, Bruno survived the Acid, and Red reappears in this arc. It is something that I was surprised to see when I read the manga, as for Delia, Blue, and Koga, they are also attacked by Agatha's Gengar, and Agatha also reveals the past of why she hates Professor Oak. I hope you like this chapter as the battle continues.
