AN:
For those people/readers who think I am focusing too much on the Mad King, and that the Targaryen history is more than just the mad king, here's my take on this:
While the Targaryen dynasty is more than just the mad king and the madness he brought to the Kingdom, there's no way in hell I can erase that from the minds of people. Many good things are usually erased by one mistake and this is a perfect example of that. The people in Westeros now lived with that thought, and it doesn't help that the nobles allowed such an idea, that all Targaryens are mad, to be instilled in the commoners' minds.
Westeros is not like our modern world where people will always dig about the history beyond the Mad King's reign. Nobles might do that, but the commoners will not. And the 'madness' thing is very crucial because this is a generation right after the Mad King's. If Daenerys will just use her power and disregard the safety of people, disregarding the casualties if she attacks King's Landing, it just proves the point instilled in people's minds, that Targaryens are mad for power. So, I'll stand by this choice of mine.

"When are they expected to arrive?" Daenerys' question echoes at the dining table. She's referring to the arrival of the King in the North. The thought of another King ruling almost half of the Kingdom she's supposed to rule.
"Travel from North to South always takes a lot of time. In my estimate, it might be in a few days." Tyrion answered, sipping his wine after doing so.
"What is he like? The Bastard of Winterfell?" Now that the time to meet this King in the North draws near, Daenerys wants nothing but information about him. She's curious about this man who they held as their King.
"It's been years since we met. He just joined the Night's Watch that time. A pretty cold place, if you ask me."
"And?"
"He's a man of duty, albeit troubled... Filled with worries, if I may say so. But perhaps that can be attributed to his childhood and how he grew up as Ned's bastard. Still, from what I remember of him, he's honest and true to his word."
Daenerys can't help but raise her eyebrows while listening to Tyrion.
"You admire him."
"I do. And if he became Lord Commander of the Night's Watch at an early age, that says a lot about his leadership. Something to admire, isn't it?"
"Correct me if I am wrong, they took an oath, did they not? To never hold a position other than the ones in the Night's Watch?" That puzzles Daenerys even now. How come that the Commander of the Night's Watch suddenly became the King in the North?
"That is something we can ask him once he arrives."
The Dragon Queen nods, ending the conversation about the King in the North. For now, all she can do is wait.
That night, when she retired to her chamber, she dreams of him again, of the King in her dreams.
Once again, they stared at the distant sky, marveling at the dragons flying above.
Six dragons.
Unlike her other dreams, this seems more like reality to Daenerys. It's as if her real body is in this dream, freely staring at the man whose attention is onto the creatures in the sky.
In deep thoughts, Daenerys ponders why there are six dragons in the sky. Then, she smiles bitterly.
It is impossible to have more dragons aside from her children. They don't exist anymore. She's the last Targaryen in the world.
With these in her mind, she lets herself be absorbed in these wonderful dreams where everything is peaceful, where she's not alone, and where her children have a father of their own.
Such a wonderful dream. Unfortunately, it will never come true.

The more they are getting closer to their destination, the more Jon's heart stirs.
Dragonstone. He's never been here but the indescribable force pulls him in, calling him to this land. He missed being in the North where the snow easily embraces him, where the cold wind brushes past his face. North will always be a home to Jon, but this place that calls him is a different kind of home.
It's a strange land to him, yet he feels as if he belongs there.
That could be the blood of the dragon in him. Even his children can feel the turbulence in his emotions.
It took them two days before they were able to arrive at the shore of Dragonstone. On the ship, Jon saw the massive castle his Targaryen ancestors held for centuries. He felt his heart start to beat loudly in mixed emotions. Even his daughters are making sounds as if they knew they had come home.
What if his parents had been alive? Will he be a Prince of this castle?
Jon read that his father, Rhaegar Targaryen, had two children with his first wife, Elia Martell. Their marriage was annulled as per the documents he also found. If his half-siblings were alive, Aegon will be next in line to the throne.
He stopped thinking of unnecessary things. He ordered his children by reaching into their consciousness to stay hidden under his cloak and, keep themselves quiet for a while. He was thankful they did as they are now approaching the shore.
On the shore, they saw people waiting for them. Men are almost naked with clothes too foreign to their eyes.
Must be the Dothrakis. Jon told himself.
They approach and he now stands face to face with Tyrion Lannister.
"The bastard of Winterfell." He greets Jon like an old friend but such greeting is not appreciated by Jon's men. Ser Davos cleared his throat lightly as if he wanted to contradict the imp. Jon thinks Davos likes to shout to the whole world about Jon's true name and his mouthful of titles.
"The dwarf of Casterly Rock." Jon greets back, ignoring the cough from Ser Davos.
They shake hands and introduce their companions. As expected, the Queen is not present. She must be waiting in the throne room.
'Of course, she will not welcome me personally'
Years of living with the Starks, even if he is a bastard, he was taught enough about the standings and demeanors of the High borns and royalties. This is expected as a sign of holding their position - a higher position.
The Dothraki horde took their weapons away, and Jon does not mind. Even his companions did not hesitate to give their swords. Their eyes smile as if they are openly telling the foreign men that they do not need weapons.
We do not need weapons. The dragons of our king and his wolf are more than enough. They must be thinking those words by now.
"And the beast you brought along?" Missandei asked, looking at the large direwolf who is silent. Ghost did not even growl when the foreign men took their weapons.
"Ghost is a well-behaved direwolf. He might look like a beast, but he is a brother to me." Jon said. The Dothraki men do not like the direwolf. It's a creature they have never seen in their life. It is not as tall as the horses they ride, but its eyes are enough to warn them that this is not an ordinary animal, that he is a beast willing to kill anyone who dares to harm Jon.
"I have seen your wolf before. He had grown so much. Twice his size?" Tyrion speaks to ease the tension.
"I believed so."
"I suppose you can bring him with you, but you do not mind if we ask you not to bring him to the throne room, am I correct?" Tyrion is good with words as ever. Jon smiles at the familiarity he felt upon seeing a familiar face after all these years.
"Of course." He agrees instantly.
They start walking but before they could get too far from the shore, Jon heard sounds from above. The heavy flap of wings sends gusting sounds to his ears. He had been sensitive to the sound and presence of dragons from the time his daughters were born.
Even his daughters made little movements upon sensing the presence above them. Jon looks up. Three large dragons, just like the ones in his dreams. The only ones missing in the sky are his daughters.
Roars resonated and all men are alarmed when all of the sudden the three dragons started to descend below ground. They landed right in front of the humans' only way to get to the castle.
Thump... Thump... Thump... It's the sound of Jon's heart beating rapidly at the majestic sight in front of him. His heavy breathing is not a sign of nervousness but a sign of excitement.
Slowly, a smile graces his lips.
The dragons roared loudly and threateningly. Three at the same time as if they are preventing anyone from passing through. Even from this distance, Jon can feel the reverberations of their breathings. The connection he felt is surreal, and the dragons have sensed it.
They must have sensed the presence of my daughters. Jon told himself. It's such a mystery how the dragons can sense the presence of another dragon, be it a creature or a dragon in a human form - like Jon.
"Can someone tell me why they are preventing us from passing through?" Tyrion asks anyone, but it is a nonsense question as no one knew why, except Jon.
They roared once again, approaching them slowly. The Dothraki men, Missandei and Tyrion stepped out of the dragons' way while they approached Jon.
Ser Davos and the other men are doing the same, leaving Jon alone in front of the dragons. Ghost growled lowly at the three but remained still, waiting for his master's orders. The time Ghost spent with the baby dragons made him more protective than he already was.
Jon looks at them, amazed and quite happy. Sooner or later, his children will grow as large as them, or maybe a little smaller given the fact his children are females. He smiles at the three beasts, confident to face them. He slowly removes his gloves and starts approaching them.
From the castle, Daenerys stood there as she saw the boat approaching the shore. She also saw how people started to greet each other, vaguely seeing the Northerners' faces as she is out from a great distance.
Sooner, she noticed how her children started descending low to the ground. This made her curious. Knowing her children, they never descended near the shore unless she asks them to. So, why?
Dany's heart starts to pound loudly in her chest as Drogon roared at the men at the shore as soon as he landed. She fears that Drogon will burn all of them alive including her men and more surprise dawned on her when Rhaegal and Viserion also roared threateningly at them.
She knew that kind of roar. She knew it is only a matter of time before the dragons lose their temper and burn them alive.
Disregarding all her grace, she starts running towards the shore before it is too late.
As soon as she arrives onshore, she sees that all of the people's eyes are on the dragons and the human in front of them. Dany sets her eyes on the man who took her dragons' attention, gasping in surprise when she recognizes him.
He was the same man in her dreams.
"My King..." she whispers to herself subconsciously. She thought he was a figment of imagination, someone unreal, but here he is standing in front of her children. She is beyond surprised to see him, but what took her attention is how he stood there, confident to face the huge dragons.
The man takes his gloves off and approached the dragons. Dany wanted to scream at him to stop or lest he will be burned alive, but no voice came out. The stranger extended his hands towards Drogon.
Everyone who witnessed this scene was shocked to see the man touch Drogon's snout and the dragon lets him do it. The stranger smiled at Drogon, the same smile Dany possessed whenever she caresses her children.
The other two dragons approached the man. He did the same to Viserion and lastly to Rhaegal.
As all of these are happening, Tyrion looked at the Queen with a questioning gaze.
As soon as Jon was done petting the dragons, his eyes darted to Daenerys.
So, it is her after all. He mused to himself. My Queen...
His dreams have been accurate enough. It was her and her children - the dragons.
Their eyes linger on each other. No one on the shore spoke anything and the silence went longer the moment they saw Jon's cloak moved and slowly, three winged creatures emerged from hiding.
The red one slowly claimed her regular position on Jon's left shoulder. The blue one followed suit, nuzzling on her father's right shoulder. And lastly, the gold one on his arms, hugging Jon.
The three small dragons roared at the three large ones then their eyes darted to the silver-haired woman.
Daenerys could not speak, as if her voice has been stolen from her. Maybe it did...
Because the sight is the strangest thing she had ever seen... A man with three baby dragons with him...
